YOKED TO CHRIST – HIS VOICE DEMANDS IMMEDIACY

Perspective  –   Rafael Fonseca

Being yoked to Christ means living in continual intimacy with Him. This relationship enables us to recognize His voice and respond without delay. Immediate obedience leads to God’s rest, while delayed obedience can hinder His purpose in our lives. When God speaks, our response should be immediate.

1. God’s Voice Requires an Immediate Response (Scripture: Luke 5:1–5)

After a night of unsuccessful fishing, Peter chose to obey Jesus despite his disappointment and exhaustion.

“Nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net”

• Obedience is not based on circumstances but on God’s Word.

• God’s timing is as important as His instruction.

• Delayed obedience may cause us to miss God’s appointed moment.

1. Immediate Obedience Reflects a Soft Heart                                                                            A hardened heart delays; a surrendered heart responds quickly. Throughout Scripture we see examples of immediate obedience:

• The blind man went at once to the Pool of Siloam.

• The servants at Cana filled the jars exactly as Jesus instructed.

• Abraham rose early to obey God’s command regarding Isaac.

• Peter and Andrew immediately left their nets to follow Christ.

• Prompt obedience demonstrates faith and trust.

• Intimacy with God produces sensitivity to His voice.

1. Following Christ Requires Priority**

(Matthew 4:18–22)

The disciples immediately left their nets, boats, and even family responsibilities to follow Jesus.

• Christ’s call deserves our highest priority.

• True discipleship requires willingness to respond without hesitation.

1. A Transformed Life Produces Immediate Action

Scripture: Acts 9:19–22

After his encounter with Christ, Saul did not wait until he felt fully prepared.

He immediately began preaching that Jesus is the Son of God.

• Genuine transformation produces immediate obedience.

• God works through willing hearts more than perfectly prepared people.

1. God’s Direction Requires Readiness**

Scripture: Acts 16:9–12

When Paul received the vision of the Macedonian man, he responded immediately and set out on the journey.

• God guides those who are ready to obey.

• Delayed obedience can delay God’s purpose through us.

1. The Yoke of Christ Brings Intimacy and Rest

Jesus desires more than occasional communication—He calls us into continual fellowship.

Those who remain yoked to Christ develop:

• Spiritual sensitivity.

• Immediate obedience.

• Confidence in God’s leading.

• Rest, even in difficult seasons.

The more intimate our relationship with Christ becomes, the more naturally we recognize and respond to His voice.

• Do not postpone what God has already spoken.

• Cultivate daily intimacy through prayer and His Word.

• Obey even when you do not fully understand.

• Trust that God’s blessings often follow immediate obedience.

• Respond today, not tomorrow.

Immediate obedience is the fruit of a life yoked to Christ. The closer we walk with Him, the quicker we recognize His voice and respond in faith.

God’s rest is found not in the absence of challenges, but in the confidence that comes from walking in His perfect will.

Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.(Hebrews 3:15)

God’s voice demands an immediate response. A delayed response aborts rest,

Casting the net at the right  time. 

Luke 5:1 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, 2 and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. 3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.

4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

Don’t cast the net next week. Act immediately when you hear the voice of God. A hardened heart cannot act quickly. The blind man heard and went to the pool of Siloam.  The disciples at Cana took water to the guests at Jesus’ instructions. Abraham took Isaac to Mount Moriah early the next morning. There is a “today” – an urgency in the obedience of God’s voice. It requires speed. Act immediately.

Peter and Andrew responded immediately to Jesus’ instruction.

Matthew 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him. 21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

Saul preached Christ immediately after his healing.

Acts 9:19 So when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus. 20 Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God. 21 Then all who heard were amazed, and said, “Is this not he who destroyed those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and has come here for that purpose, so that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?” 22 But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ.

Paul responded immediately to the vision that invited him to Macedonia. 

Acts 16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them. 11 Therefore, sailing from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day came to Neapolis, 12 and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were staying in that city for some days.

When you hear the voice of God, act immediately. How do I ensure that I hear the voice all the time? Carry the yoke of Christ continually – a yoke of intimacy. You will never need a knock again. The voice of God will bring you to rest.

PERSPECTIVE – ROY PILLAY

A believer’s immediate response to the voice of God is a reflection of his or her trust, faith and obedience to God. 

Leaders of ministries regularly call upon members of their congregations to voluntarily serve the Lord. We have already embraced the biblical truth that one of the ways the Lord speaks is through His servants (Romans 10:14)

When Peter and Andrew received the instruction of Jesus to follow Him, they immediately abandoned their nets and followed Jesus. They did not seek a second opinion from their family, friends or other fishermen. Their speed in following Jesus, revealed their level of faith, trust and confidence in the Word of the Lord Jesus.

Matthew 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men”. 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

James and John responded to the call of Jesus in exactly the same way. Their response was immediate. Not only did they leave their boat, they also left Zebedee their father.  

Matthew 4:21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

What is it about the voice of Jesus that affects these men in such a a way that they abandon everything to follow Him ?

Truly the Word of the Lord is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit! (Hebrews 4:12)

All believers have been commissioned by the Lord Himself to disciple nations. (Matthew 28:19,20)

LEPROSY RESPONDS IMMEDIATELY TO THE WORD AND THE VOICE OF THE LORD

Mark 1:40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” 41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” 42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

As soon as Jesus spoke these words “I am willing, be cleansed” (voice of God),  IMMEDIATELY the leprosy left Him. 

EVIL SPIRITS AND SICKNESS RESPOND IMMEDIATELY TO THE WORD AND SOUND OF THE VOICE OF JESUS

Matthew 8:16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

“He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”

THIS IS DEMONSTRATED BY THE NOTABLE WOMAN FROM SHUNEM WHO IMMEDIATELY PURSUED GRACE FROM A SUPERNATURAL DIMENSION WHEN HER SON DIED.

No natural resource, gift or skill can help us when a person dies. Natural helps has a finite limitation; the supernatural realm has infinite possibilities. When the boy died, his mother clearly understood the urgency of seeking grace from a supernatural dimension that would resurrect the life of the boy. 

2 Kings 4:20 When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

She went immediately in search of the carrier of grace Elisha to access grace from a supernatural dimension that would resurrect the life of her son.  Her urgency was revealed in her instruction to her servant  “Drive! Go forward! Do not slacken the speed!”

2 Kings 4:24 Then she saddled a donkey, and said to her servant, “Drive, and go forward; do not slacken the pace for me unless I tell you.”

LIGADO A CRISTO – SUA VOZ EXIGE IMEDIATISMO

Estar ligado a Cristo significa viver em intimidade contínua com Ele. Esse relacionamento nos permite reconhecer a Sua voz e responder sem demora. A obediência imediata leva ao descanso de Deus, enquanto a obediência retardada pode dificultar Seu propósito em nossas vidas. Quando Deus fala, nossa resposta deve ser imediata.

1. A Voz de Deus Exige uma Resposta Imediata (Escritura: Lucas 5:1–5)

Após uma noite de pesca sem sucesso, Pedro escolheu obedecer a Jesus apesar de sua decepção e exaustão.

“No entanto, por Sua palavra, vou lançar a rede”

• A obediência não se baseia nas circunstâncias, mas na Palavra de Deus.

• O tempo de Deus é tão importante quanto Sua instrução.

• A obediência atrasada pode nos fazer perder o momento designado por Deus.

1. Obediência imediata reflete um coração mole, umcoração endurecido atrasa; um coração rendido responde rapidamente. Ao longo das Escrituras vemos exemplos de obediência imediata:

• O cego foi imediatamente para o Tanque de Siloé.

• Os servos em Caná encheram os vasos exatamente como Jesus instruiu.

• Abraão levantou-se cedo para obedecer ao mandamento de Deus em relação a Isaque.

• Pedro e André imediatamente deixaram suas redes para seguir Cristo.

• Obediência rápida demonstra fé e confiança.

• A intimidade com Deus produz sensibilidade em Sua voz.

1. Seguir Cristo exige prioridade

(Mateus 4:18–22)

Os discípulos imediatamente deixaram suas redes, barcos e até responsabilidades familiares para seguir Jesus.

• O chamado de Cristo merece nossa maior prioridade.

• O verdadeiro discipulado exige disposição para responder sem hesitação.

1. Uma vida transformada produz ação imediata

Escritura: Atos 9:19–22

Após seu encontro com Cristo, Saul não esperou até se sentir totalmente preparado.

Ele imediatamente começou a pregar que Jesus é o Filho de Deus.

• Transformação genuína produz obediência imediata.

• Deus age por corações dispostos mais do que por pessoas perfeitamente preparadas.

2. A direção de Deus exige prontidão

Escritura: Atos 16:9–12

Quando Paulo recebeu a visão do homem macedônio, ele respondeu imediatamente e partiu para a jornada.

• Deus guia aqueles que estão prontos para obedecer.

• A obediência atrasada pode atrasar o propósito de Deus através de nós.

3. O jugo de Cristo traz intimidade e descanso

Jesus deseja mais do que comunicação ocasional — Ele nos chama para a comunhão contínua.

Aqueles que permanecem ligados a Cristo desenvolvem-se:

• Sensibilidade espiritual.

• Obediência imediata.

• Confiança na orientação de Deus.

• Descanso, mesmo em temporadas difíceis.

Quanto mais íntimo nosso relacionamento com Cristo se torna, mais naturalmente reconhecemos e respondemos à Sua voz.

• Não adie o que Deus já disse.

• Cultivar a intimidade diária por meio da oração e da Sua Palavra.

• Obedeça mesmo quando você não entende totalmente.

• Confiar que as bênçãos de Deus frequentemente seguem a obediência imediata.

• Responda hoje, não amanhã.

A obediência imediata é fruto de uma vida ligada a Cristo. Quanto mais próximos caminhamos dele, mais rápido reconhecemos Sua voz e respondemos com fé.

O descanso de Deus não se encontra na ausência de desafios, mas na confiança que vem de caminhar em Sua vontade perfeita.

Hoje, se ouvirem a voz Dele, não endureçam seus corações. (Hebreus 3:15)

LIGADO A CRISTO – SUA VOZ EXIGE IMEDIATISMO

A voz de Deus exige uma resposta imediata. Uma resposta tardia aborta o descanso,

Lançar a rede na hora certa.

Lucas 5:1 Assim, enquanto a multidão se apressava ao redor Ele para ouvir a palavra de Deus, Ele ficou junto ao Lago de Gennesaret, 2 e viu dois barcos parados à beira do lago; mas os pescadores já tinham ido embora e estavam lavando suas redes. 3 Então ele entrou em um dos barcos, que era de Simon, e pediu que ele saísse um pouco da terra. E Ele sentou-se e ensinou as multidões do barco. 4 Quando Ele parou de falar, disse a Simão: “Lança-te para as profundezas e solte as redes para pegar uma peça.”5Mas Simão respondeu e disse: “Mestre, trabalhamos a noite toda e não pegamos nada; no entanto, por Sua palavra, vou baixar a rede.”

Não jogue a rede na próxima semana. Aja imediatamente quando ouvir a voz de Deus. Um coração endurecido não pode agir rapidamente. O cego ouviu e foi até a piscina de Siloé. Os discípulos em Caná levaram água aos convidados sob instruções de Jesus. Abraão levou Isaac ao Monte Moriah na manhã seguinte. Existe um “hoje” – uma urgência na obediência à voz de Deus. Exige velocidade. Aja imediatamente.

Pedro e André responderam imediatamente às instruções de Jesus.

Mateus 4:18 E Jesus, caminhando à beira do Mar da Galileia, viu dois irmãos, Simão chamado Pedro, e André seu irmão, lançando uma rede no mar; pois eram pescadores. 19 Então Ele lhes disse: “Sigam-me, e eu os farei pescadores de homens.” 20 Eles imediatamente deixaram suas redes e O seguiram. 21 Seguindo dali, viu outros dois irmãos, Tiago, filho de Zebedeu, e João, seu irmão, no barco com Zebedeu, seu pai, consertando suas redes. Ele os chamou, 22 anos, e imediatamente eles deixaram o barco e o pai, e O seguiram.

Saul pregou Cristo imediatamente após sua cura.

Atos 9:19 Então, quando recebeu comida, ficou fortalecido. Depois, Saul passou alguns dias com os discípulos em Damasco. 20 Imediatamente pregou Cristo nas sinagogas, dizendo que Ele é o Filho de Deus. 21 Então todos os que ouviram ficaram surpresos e disseram: “Não é este quem destruiu aqueles que invocavam este nome em Jerusalém, e veio aqui para esse propósito, para que os atrepasse aos sumos sacerdotes?” 22 Mas Saulo aumentou ainda mais em força e confundiu os judeus que habitavam Damasco, provando que este Jesus é o Cristo.

Paulo respondeu imediatamente à visão que o convidou para a Macedônia.

Atos 16:9 E uma visão apareceu a Paulo na noite. Um homem da Macedônia se levantou e implorou, dizendo: “Venha para a Macedônia e nos ajude.” 10 Agora, depois de ter visto a visão, imediatamente buscamos ir à Macedônia, concluindo que o Senhor nos chamara para pregar o evangelho a eles. 11 Portanto, partindo de Troas, seguimos em linha reta para Samotrácia, e no dia seguinte chegamos a Neápolis, 12, e de lá a Filipos, que é a principal cidade daquela parte da Macedônia, uma colônia. E ficamos naquela cidade por alguns dias.

Quando ouvir a voz de Deus, aja imediatamente. Como faço para garantir que ouço a voz o tempo todo? Carregue continuamente o jugo de Cristo – um jugo de intimidade. Você nunca mais vai precisar de uma batida. A voz de Deus trará você ao descanso.

PERSPECTIVA – ROY PILLAY

A resposta imediata de um crente à voz de Deus reflete sua confiança, fé e obediência a Deus.

Líderes de ministérios regularmente convocam membros de suas congregações para servirem voluntariamente ao Senhor. Já abraçamos a verdade bíblica de que uma das formas como o Senhor fala é por meio de Seus servos (Romanos 10:14)

Quando Pedro e André receberam a instrução de Jesus para segui-lo, imediatamente abandonaram suas redes e seguiram Jesus. Eles não buscavam uma segunda opinião de familiares, amigos ou outros pescadores. A rapidez deles em seguir Jesus revelou seu nível de fé, confiança e confiança na Palavra do Senhor Jesus.

Tiago e João responderam ao chamado de Jesus exatamente da mesma forma. A resposta deles foi imediata. Eles não só deixaram o barco, como também deixaram Zebedeu, seu pai.

Mateus 4:21 A partir daí, viu outros dois irmãos, Tiago, filho de Zebedeu, e João, seu irmão, no barco com Zebedeu, seu pai, consertando suas redes. Ele os chamou, 22 anos, e imediatamente eles deixaram o barco e o pai, e O seguiram.

O que há na voz de Jesus que afeta esses homens de tal forma que eles abandonam tudo para segui-Lo?

De fato, a Palavra do Senhor é viva e poderosa, e mais afiada que qualquer espada de dois gumes, penetrando até mesmo a divisão entre alma e espírito! (Hebreus 4:12)

Todos os crentes foram comissionados pelo próprio Senhor para discipular nações. (Mateus 28:19,20)

A LEPRA RESPONDE IMEDIATAMENTE À PALAVRA E À VOZ DO SENHOR

Marcos 1:40 Então um leproso veio a Ele, implorando-O, ajoelhando-se diante Ele e dizendo: “Se Tu quiseres, podes me purificar.” 41 Então Jesus, movido com compaixão, estendeu a mão e o tocou, e disse-lhe: “Estou disposto; ser purificado.” 42 Assim que Ele falou, imediatamente a lepra o abandonou, e ele foi purificado.

Assim que Jesus pronunciou estas palavras “Estou disposto, seja purificado” (voz de Deus), IMEDIATAMENTE a lepra o deixou.

ESPÍRITOS MALIGNOS E DOENÇAS RESPONDEM IMEDIATAMENTE À PALAVRA E AO SOM DA VOZ DE JESUS

Mateus 8:16 Quando a noite chegou, trouxeram a Ele muitos possuídos por demônios. E expulsou os espíritos com uma palavra, e curou todos os doentes, 17 para que se cumprisse o que foi dito por Isaías, o profeta, dizendo:

“Ele mesmo tomou nossas enfermidades e suportou nossas enfermidades.”

ISSO É DEMONSTRADO PELA NOTÁVEL MULHER DE SUNEM QUE IMEDIATAMENTE PERSEGUIU A GRAÇA DE UMA DIMENSÃO SOBRENATURAL QUANDO SEU FILHO MORREU.

Nenhum recurso natural, dom ou habilidade pode nos ajudar quando uma pessoa morre. A ajuda natural tem uma limitação finita; O reino sobrenatural tem possibilidades infinitas. Quando o menino morreu, sua mãe entendeu claramente a urgência de buscar a graça de uma dimensão sobrenatural que ressuscitaria a vida do garoto.

2 Reis 4:20 Quando o levou e o levou para a mãe, ele ficou de joelhos dela até o meio-dia, e então morreu.

Ela foi imediatamente em busca do portador da graça, Elisha, para acessar a grazia de uma dimensão sobrenatural que ressuscitaria a vida de seu filho. Sua urgência foi revelada em sua instrução ao servo: “Dirija! Avance! Não diminua a velocidade!”

2 Reis 4:24 Então ela selou um burro e disse ao seu servo: “Conduz, e siga em frente; não diminua o ritmo para mim a menos que eu diga.”

YOKED TO CHRIST – MISSING THE VOICE OF GOD

Song of Solomon 5:2-7 NKJV [2] I sleep, but my heart is awake; It  is the voice of my beloved! He knocks, saying, “Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one; For my head is covered with dew, My locks with the drops of the night.” [3] I have taken off my robe; How can I put it on again? I have washed my feet; How can I defile them? [4] My beloved put his hand By the latch of  the  door, And my heart yearned for him. [5] I arose to open for my beloved, And my hands dripped with myrrh, My fingers with liquid myrrh, On the handles of the lock. [6] I opened for my beloved, But my beloved had turned away and was gone. My heart leaped up when he spoke. I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer. [7] The watchmen who went about the city found me. They struck me, they wounded me; The keepers of the walls Took my veil away from me.

A yoke represents on-going connection.

1. The Shulamite recognised the voice but responded too late. The Shulamite knew that it was the voice of her beloved, but she delayed opening the door. By the time she responded, he had departed.

Hearing God’s voice is not enough. We must respond promptly and obediently.

Luke 11:28 – Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it.

Psalm 119:60 – “I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments.”

2. God may speak at an inconvenient time

The beloved came at night, when the Shulamite had already prepared herself to go to sleep. His arrival interrupted her comfort.

God works according to His time, not ours. The knock may come when we are tired, busy or uncomforttable. All our time belongs to God.

Mark 13:35–37 – Watch, because you do not know when the master will come.

The servants did not control the master’s arrival. They had to be ready according to his timing.

In the same ways, God does not always speak or move when it is convenient for us. His timing may interrupt:

• Our comfort • Our plans • Our sleep • Our routine • Our personal priorities

The Shulamite expected the beloved to come according to a convenient schedule. However, he arrived during the night.

The message is clear: we must adjust ourselves to God’s timing rather than expecting God to adjust Himself to ours.

3. Wrong yokes cause spiritual exhaustion

Believers may become tired because they are carrying yokes that Christ never gave them.

These may include: • Entertainment • Career demands • Family concerns • Financial pressure • Social expectations • The cares and distractions of this world

These things are not always sinful in themselves, but they become dangerous when they consume our strength and interfere with our relationship with Christ.

Luke 21:34 – Guard against hearts being weighed down by the cares of this life.

4. A fragmented relationship causes us to miss God

Many believers have an interrupted and casual relationship with the Lord. They visit Him occasionally rather than abiding in Him continually.

When fellowship with God is inconsistent, believers may not be spiritually prepared when He speaks.

John 15:4–5 – Abide in Christ in order to bear fruit.

Psalm 91:1 – The person who dwells in the secret place abides under God’s shadow.

Acts 17:28 – In Him we live, move and have our being.

5. Delayed obedience can result in a missed opportunity

The Shulamite responded only after her beloved had departed. She was left with myrrh on the handle—the evidence that he had been there.

We must not become satisfied with signs of a past visitation when God desires a present relationship.

Isaiah 55:6 – Seek the Lord while He may be found.

2 Corinthians 6:2 – Now is the accepted time; now is the day of salvation.

6. Missing God’s voice exposes us to wrong voices

After failing to find her beloved, the Shulamite encountered the watchmen. Instead of helping her, they struck her, wounded her and removed her veil.

When people are disconnected from the voice of Christ, they may become vulnerable to the wrong voices.

YOKED TO CHRIST – MISSING THE VOICE OF GOD

The Shulamite missed the Voice

Song of Songs 5:2 I sleep, but my heart is awake; It is the voice of my beloved! They struck me, they wounded me; The keepers of the walls. Took my veil away from me.

God visits at an inconvenient time. The knock is in His time – not our time. What has made you sleep? The believers are exhausted. They do not carry the yoke consistently. Instead of an abiding relationship, believers have a fragmented, interrupted and casual relationship with the Lord. The Lord is forced to see them after hours. He knocks, but we are too exhausted from the yokes of entertainment, career demands, sports, shopping, family cares etc. All these worldly yokes are burdensome and sleep inflicting. The heart is willing but the body is tired.

In our exhausted and drowsy state we miss the knock and the voice. The visitation is crucial and timeous. We need healing but God visits at an inconvenient time. We say the time is not yet. All time belongs to God. Being tired is our fault. We have been consumed with the cares of this world. We respond after He has departed. All we get is the myrrh on the handle – the signs of His departure. Many are satisfied with this. Some run into the street – into all kinds of bogus meetings. The opportunity is gone. We become victims of abuse. Too bad you missed the voice – it is now too late. 

“took away my veil from me”

This is a symbol of rape. If you miss His Voice, then you have to listen to the voice of the watchmen or the keepers of the wall. You will be abused by the wrong voices. Many folks are the victims of false voices and false prophecies. These voices abuse their passion for the Lord. These voices don’t empower – they dishonour and rob the individual of dignity and fail dismally in pointing to Christ. 

Jeremiah 23:16 Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the LORD. 17 They continually say to those who despise Me, ‘The LORD has said, “You shall have peace” ’; And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say, No evil shall come upon you.”

Micah 3:1 And I said: “Hear now, O heads of Jacob, And you rulers of the house of Israel: Is it not for you to know justice? 2 You who hate good and love evil; Who strip the skin from My people, And the flesh from their bones; 3 Who also eat the flesh of My people, Flay their skin from them, Break their bones, And chop them in pieces Like meat for the pot, Like flesh in the caldron.”

The voices of these watchmen are the false doctrines they preach. They rob the believer of rest.

These  doctrines make God’s people worthless :

• Superstitious blood application
• Christ is a created being
• The Holy Spirit is just a force
• Christ is not risen from the dead
• Trinity is unbiblical and Babylonian
• Accepting Jesus as Saviour and not as Lord
• Disappearance rather than the manifestation of the sons of God
• Heaven-centric instead of a Christocentric gospel
• Sectarianism through denominationalism
• Extra biblical practices and human traditions 
• Legalism

The yoke implies a continuous connection. This is an abiding relationship. The Lord is with us all the time. He does not have to knock anymore. This is not visitation but habitation. 

Our close proximity to Christ within the yoke gives the believer access to the voice of the Lord. His voice is critical for our navigation in times of peril and darkness; when we hear His Word, we hear His voice.

The spiritual reality of the believer is that we are HOME IN CHRIST, and that CHRIST finds His HOME IN US – Christ in us, the HOPE OF GLORY – this is our spiritual reality because of us being yoked with Christ; that by the grace of God He has “raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:6)

The Shulamite woman (symbol of the Church the Bride of Christ) must quickly realise that Christ is not coming to have a discreet, clandestine affair in the darkness of the night ……. He wants to dwell with her, to love and cherish her in an eternal relationship. She needs to come HOME. She can hear HIS VOICE at all times. 

The prophet Hosea reveals the heart of the Father concerning absolute devotion and consecration ……

Hosea 9:1 Do not rejoice, O Israel, with joy like other peoples, For you have played the harlot against your God. You have made love for hire on every threshing floor. 2 The threshing floor and the winepress Shall not feed them, And the new wine shall fail in her.

THERE WILL BE NO VOICE, THERE WILL BE NO RESPONSE FROM OUR WORSHIP OF IDOLS

1 Kings 18:26 So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, “O Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made. 27 And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened.” 28 So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them. 29 And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention.

This was a demonstration of radical worship that include “corporal mortification”, inflicting upon themselves physical injury and pain. Yet, with all this, there was no voice, no one answered, no one paid attention.

Jesus had instituted the Lord’s Supper with His disciples and He comes to Gethsemane where He gives His disciples, His trusted inner circle which was Peter, James and John the explicit instruction to “stay here and watch” which meant that they should remain spiritually aware, alert and vigilant.

This is the “voice of the Lord”. Jesus was “extremely sorrowful” revealing His vulnerability to personal anguish.

Mark 14:32 Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” 33 And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. 34 Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.”

After His prayer Jesus returned to find His  trusted disciples sleeping. These disciples represented those in the inner circle of Jesus; they walked with Jesus, they were eyewitnesses of His Majesty, of all the miracles, yet they were unable to spiritually discern the agony in His voice and in His Word for them to share in His deep distress and sorrow. Being obedient to His voice is evidence that we are yoked to Him. Believers demonstrate their “yoke with Christ” by making Christ their place of habitation… their HOME.

THE CHURCH IN LAODICEA

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

The Lord loves His Church (His Bride). Jesus demonstrates His Divine intention to correct the vision of the Church in Laodicea because their devotion is fragmented and divided. This is His observation….

Revelation 3:17 Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—

To any observer, this church is the “pattern and image of prosperity”. The material wealth of the church caused them to become distracted from their faith which led to apostasy and spiritually blindness. Whilst the world may evaluate and measure the state of the church in Laodicea using external features (natural sight), Jesus was able to see the spiritual condition in Laodicea, through the lens of His Father. 

Deception, apostasy, idolatry (worship of mammon) and misrepresentation may escape the discernment of a Laodicean community that is spiritually blind , but it will not escape the attention of Christ Jesus, the Lord of His Church.

Jesus demonstrates His respect for the leadership and those who are gathered in this church by knocking on the door and waiting to be invited into His own church. It has always been the prerogative of an individual to respond to HIS VOICE (if ANYONE hears My Voice – Verse 20). 

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

May we clearly HEAR HIS VOICE from the multitude of voices that we are exposed to daily. It is our obedience to this VOICE that demonstrates our “yoke with HIM”. We are His sheep who listen to His voice.

Whenever, we sit under His Word, we hear His Voice. Our obedience to His Voice will determine our blessings. Also refer to His voice being heard through the preaching of His Word spoken by His servants  (Romans 10:14,15)

Um jugo representa conexão contínua.

1. O Sulamita reconheceu a voz, mas respondeu tarde demais. A Sulamita sabia que era a voz de seu amado, mas demorou a abrir a porta. Quando ela respondeu, ele já havia partido.

Ouvir a voz de Deus não é suficiente. Devemos responder prontamente e obedientemente.

Lucas 11:28 – Bem-aventurados os que ouvem a Palavra de Deus e a guardam.

Salmo 119:60 – “Apressei-me e não demorei em guardar Teus mandamentos.”

2. Deus pode falar em um momento inconveniente

O amado veio à noite, quando a Sulamita já estava preparada para dormir. A chegada dele interrompeu seu conforto.

Deus age segundo o Seu tempo, não o nosso. A batida pode vir quando estamos cansados, ocupados ou desconfortáveis. Todo o nosso tempo pertence a Deus.

Marcos 13:35–37 – Observai, porque vocês não sabem quando o mestre virá.

Os servos não controlaram a chegada do mestre. Eles precisavam estar prontos de acordo com o tempo dele.

Da mesma forma, Deus nem sempre fala ou age quando é conveniente para nós. Seu tempo pode interromper:

• Nosso conforto 

• Nossos planos 

• Nosso sono 

• Nossa rotina 

• Nossas prioridades pessoais

Os Sulamitas esperavam que o amado viesse de acordo com um horário conveniente. No entanto, ele chegou durante a noite.

A mensagem é clara: devemos nos ajustar ao tempo de Deus, em vez de esperar que Deus se ajuste ao nosso.

3. Jugos errados causam exaustão espiritual

Os crentes podem ficar cansados porque carregam jugos que Cristo nunca lhes deu.

Esses podem incluir: 

• Entretenimento 

• Demandas de carreira 

• Preocupações familiares 

• Pressão financeira 

• Expectativas sociais 

• As preocupações e distrações deste mundo

Essas coisas nem sempre são pecaminosas por si só, mas se tornam perigosas quando consomem nossa força e interferem em nosso relacionamento com Cristo.

Lucas 21:34 – Guarde contra corações que se agravam pelas preocupações desta vida.

4. Uma relação fragmentada faz com que sintamos falta de Deus

Muitos crentes têm uma relação interrompida e casual com o Senhor. Eles o visitam ocasionalmente, em vez de permanecerem nele continuamente.

Quando a comunhão com Deus é inconsistente, os crentes podem não estar espiritualmente preparados quando Ele fala.

João 15:4–5 – Permaneçam em Cristo para dar fruto.

Salmo 91:1 – A pessoa que habita o lugar secreto permanece sob a sombra de Deus.

Atos 17:28 – Nele vivemos, nos movemos e temos nosso ser.

5. Obediência atrasada pode resultar em uma oportunidade perdida

A Sulamita respondeu apenas depois que seu amado partiu. Ela ficou com mirra no cabo — a evidência de que ele estivera ali.

Não devemos nos contentar com sinais de uma visita passada quando Deus deseja um relacionamento presente.

Isaías 55:6 – Procurem o Senhor enquanto Ele possa ser encontrado.

2 Coríntios 6:2 – Agora é o tempo aceito; Agora é o dia da salvação.

6. A falta da voz de Deus nos expõe a vozes erradas

Após não conseguirem encontrar seu amado, os Sulamitas encontraram os vigias. Em vez de ajudá-la, a atacaram, feriram e removeram seu véu.

Quando as pessoas se desconectam da voz de Cristo, podem se tornar vulneráveis às vozes erradas.

O Sulamita perdeu a Voz

Eles me atingiram, me feriram; Os guardiões das muralhas. Tirou meu véu de mim.

Deus visita em um momento inconveniente. A batida é no tempo D’Ele – não no nosso. O que te fez dormir? Os crentes estão exaustos. Eles não carregam o jugo de forma consistente. Em vez de um relacionamento duradouro, os crentes têm um relacionamento fragmentado, interrompido e casual com o Senhor. O Senhor é obrigado a vê-los depois do expediente. Ele bate na porta, mas estamos exaustos demais com o peso do entretenimento, demandas da carreira, esportes, compras, cuidados familiares etc. Todos esses jugos mundanos são pesados e causam sono. O coração está disposto, mas o corpo está cansado.

Em nosso estado exausto e sonolento, sentimos falta da batida e da voz. A visitação é crucial e oportuna. Precisamos de cura, mas Deus visita em um momento inconveniente. Dizemos que o momento ainda não chegou. Todo o tempo pertence a Deus. Estar cansado é culpa nossa. Fomos consumidos pelas preocupações deste mundo. Respondemos depois que Ele partiu. Tudo o que temos é a mirra no cabo – os sinais de Sua partida. Muitos ficam satisfeitos com isso. Alguns correm para a rua – para todo tipo de reunião falsa. A oportunidade se foi. Nos tornamos vítimas de abuso. Pena que você perdeu a voz – agora já é tarde demais.

“tirou meu véu de mim”

Isso é um símbolo de estupro. Se você sentir falta da Voz Dele, então terá que ouvir a voz dos vigias ou dos guardiões da muralha. Você será abusado pelas vozes erradas. Muitas pessoas são vítimas de vozes falsas e profecias falsas. Essas vozes abusam da paixão pelo Senhor. Essas vozes não empoderam – elas desonram e roubam a dignidade do indivíduo e falham lamentavelmente ao apontar para Cristo.

Jeremias 23:16 Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: “Não ouçais as palavras dos profetas que vos profetizaram. Eles te tornam inútil; Eles falam uma visão do próprio coração, não da boca do SENHOR. 17 Eles dizem continuamente àqueles que Me desprezam: ‘O SENHOR disse: ‘Hareispaz’; E a todos que caminham segundo os ditames do próprio coração, dizem: Nenhum mal virá sobre vocês.”

Miqueias 3:1 E eu disse: “Ouçam agora, ó cabeças de Jacó, e vós, governantes da casa de Israel: Não vos cabe conhecer a justiça? 2 Vós que odeiam o bem e amam o mal; Que arrancam a pele do Meu povo, E a carne de seus ossos; 3 Que também comem a carne do Meu povo, arranca a pele deles, Quebra seus ossos E os corta em pedaços Como carne para a panela, Como carne no caldeirão.”

As vozes desses vigilantes são as doutrinas falsas que pregam. Eles roubam o descanso do crente.

Essas doutrinas tornam o povo de Deus inútil:

• Aplicação supersticiosa de sangue

• Cristo é um ser criado

• O Espírito Santo é apenas uma força

• Cristo não ressuscitou dos mortos

• Trinity é não bíblica e babilônica

• Aceitando Jesus como Salvador e não como Senhor

• Desaparecimento em vez da manifestação dos filhos de Deus

• Centrado no céu em vez de um evangelho cristocêntrico

• Sectarismo por meio do denominacionalismo

• Práticas bíblicas extras e tradições humanas

• Legalismo

O manche implica uma conexão contínua. Esse é um relacionamento duradouro. O Senhor está conosco o tempo todo. Ele não precisa mais bater. Isso não é visitação, mas habitação.

Nossa proximidade com Cristo dentro do jugo dá ao crente acesso à voz do Senhor. Sua voz é fundamental para nossa navegação em tempos de perigo e escuridão; quando ouvimos Sua Palavra, ouvimos Sua voz.

A realidade espiritual do crente é que somos CASA EM CRISTO, e que CRISTO encontra Seu LAR EM NÓS – Cristo em nós, a ESPERANÇA DA GLÓRIA – essa é nossa realidade espiritual por estarmos ligados a Cristo; que pela graça de Deus Ele “nos levantou com Cristo e nos sentou com Ele nos reinos celestiais em Cristo Jesus.” (Efésios 2:6)

A mulher Sulamita (símbolo da Igreja, a Noiva de Cristo) deve perceber rapidamente que Cristo não está vindo para ter um caso discreto e clandestino na escuridão da noite ……. Ele quer morar com ela, amá-la e valorizá-la em um relacionamento eterno. Ela precisa voltar para CASA. Ela consegue ouvir A VOZ DELE o tempo todo.

O profeta Oséias revela o coração do Pai quanto à devoção absoluta e à consagração ……

Oseias 9:1 Não te alegres, ó Israel, com alegria como os outros povos, pois fizeste de prostituta contra teu Deus. Você fez amor por aluguel em todas as debulhas. 2 A debulha e a prensa de vinho não os alimentarão, E o novo vinho falhará nela.

NÃO HAVERÁ VOZ, NÃO HAVERÁ RESPOSTA DA NOSSA ADORAÇÃO AOS ÍDOLOS

1 Reis 18:26 Então eles pegaram o touro que lhes foi dado, prepararam-no e invocaram o nome de Baal desde a manhã até o meio-dia, dizendo: “Ó Baal, ouve-nos!” Mas não havia voz; ninguém respondeu. Então pularam sobre o altar que haviam feito. 27 E assim foi, ao meio-dia, que Elias zombou deles e disse: “Clamai em voz alta, pois ele é um deus; ou ele está meditando, ou está ocupado, ou está em uma jornada, ou talvez esteja dormindo e precise ser acordado.” 28 Então gritaram alto e se cortaram, como era seu costume, com facas e lanças, até que o sangue jorrou sobre eles. 29 E quando o meio-dia já passou, profetizaram até o momento da oferta do sacrifício da noite. Mas não havia voz; ninguém respondeu, ninguém prestou atenção.

Isso foi uma demonstração de adoração radical que inclui a “mortificação corporal”, infligindo a si mesmos ferimentos físicos e dor. Ainda assim, com tudo isso, não havia voz, ninguém respondia, ninguém prestava atenção.

Jesus instituiu a Ceia do Senhor com Seus discípulos e Ele vem ao Getsêmani, onde dá a Seus discípulos, Seu círculo íntimo de confiança, que era Pedro, Tiago e João, a instrução explícita de “ficar aqui e vigiar”, o que significava que eles deveriam permanecer espiritualmente conscientes, alertas e vigilantes.

Esta é a “voz do Senhor”. Jesus estava “extremamente triste”, revelando sua vulnerabilidade à angústia pessoal.

Marcos 14:32 Então chegaram a um lugar chamado Getsêmani; e Ele disse aos Seus discípulos: “Sente-se aqui enquanto eu oro.” 33 E levou Pedro, Jaime e João com ele, e começou a ficar perturbado e profundamente aflito. 34 Então Ele lhes disse: “Minha alma está extremamente triste, até a morte. Fique aqui e observe.”

Após Sua oração, Jesus voltou e encontrou Seus discípulos de confiança dormindo. Esses discípulos representavam aqueles do círculo íntimo de Jesus; eles caminharam com Jesus, foram testemunhas oculares de Sua Majestade, de todos os milagres, mas não conseguiram discernir espiritualmente a agonia em Sua voz e em Sua Palavra para compartilharem Sua profunda aflição e tristeza. Ser obediente à Sua voz é prova de que estamos ligados a Ele. Os crentes demonstram seu “jugo com Cristo” fazendo de Cristo seu local de habitação… seu LAR.

A IGREJA NA LAODICEIA

Apocalipse 3:20 Eis que eu fico na porta e bato na porta. Se alguém ouvir Minha voz e abrir a porta, eu entrarei até ele e jantarei com ele, e ele comigo.

O Senhor ama Sua Igreja (Sua Noiva). Jesus demonstra Sua intenção divina de corrigir a visão da Igreja em Laodiceia porque sua devoção é fragmentada e dividida. Esta é a observação Dele….

Apocalipse 3:17 Porque dizes que sou rico, que me tornei rico e que não preciso de nada’—e não sabes que és miserável, miserável, pobre, cego e nu—

Para qualquer observador, esta igreja é o “padrão e imagem da prosperidade”. A riqueza material da igreja os distraía de sua fé, o que levou à apostasia e cegueira espiritual. Enquanto o mundo pode avaliar e medir o estado da igreja em Laodiceia usando características externas (visão natural), Jesus foi capaz de ver a condição espiritual em Laodiceia, através da lente de Seu Pai.

Engano, apostasia, idolatria (adoração de mamom) e deturpação podem escapar ao discernimento de uma comunidade laodiceana espiritualmente cega, mas não passarão despercebidos pela atenção de Cristo Jesus, o Senhor de Sua Igreja.

Jesus demonstra Seu respeito pela liderança e por aqueles que estão reunidos nesta igreja batendo na porta e esperando ser convidado a entrar em Sua própria igreja. Sempre foi prerrogativa de um indivíduo responder à SUA VOZ (se ALGUÉM ouvir Minha Voz – Versículo 20).

Apocalipse 3:20 Eis que eu fico na porta e bato na porta. Se alguém ouvir Minha voz e abrir a porta, entrarei até ele e jantarei com ele, e ele comigo. 21 A quem vencer concederei que se sente comigo no meu trono, assim como eu também venci e me sentei com meu Pai em seu trono.

Que possamos OUVIR CLARAMENTE A VOZ DELE a partir da multiplicidade de vozes às quais somos expostos diariamente. É nossa obediência a essa VOZ que demonstra nosso “jugo com ELE”. Somos Suas ovelhas que ouvem Sua voz.

Sempre que nos sentamos sob Sua Palavra, ouvimos Sua Voz. Nossa obediência à Sua Voz determinará nossas bênçãos. Também se refere à voz dele sendo ouvida através da pregação de Sua Palavra falada por Seus servos (Romanos 10:14,15)

The voice of God is not merely an audible sound, but it is composed of His entire will, His entire character, and His entire truth.

John 10:27  “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

Since Eden, sin has created separation between God and man. The voice of God, which was once heard at the turn of the day in face-to-face communion,became distant and even terrifying to fallen man.

Genesis 3:8 “That evening they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden, and they hid among the trees.”

At Sinai, the people asked Moses to be their mediator because the voice of God made them tremble and fear.

Exodus 20:19 “The Israelites said to Moses, ‘You should speak to us. We will listen to you.'” “It is better that God does not speak directly to us lest we die.”

However, God’s plan has always been to restore intimacy and relationship.

Now, “united with Christ,” the channel of communication has been restored. This is not mysticism, but a forensic position and a reactivated relational experience.

THE BASIS OF OUR UNION WITH CHRIST

To hear God’s voice, we first need to understand where we are spiritually. Being in Christ is the backbone of the Christian faith. Christ is the foundation of our faith.

His death and resurrection brought us identification.

Romans 6:5 “For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall certainly also be in the likeness of his resurrection.”

The Greek word for “united” here is symphytos, which means “planted together,” “to grow together.” It is an agricultural term. A grafted branch is not merely attached to the tree; it comes to share the same sap, the same life. This means that the The voice of God is not an external signal that we perceive, but an inner life that we can share.

Now we are one Spirit with Him, in 1 Corinthians 6:17 it goes even deeper:

1 Corinthians 6:17 “He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”

Union is not just a covenant, it is a spiritual fusion. If we are one spirit with Christ, the Holy Spirit who spoke through the prophets now dwells in us, and His voice springs from within, from our recreated spirit.

THE VOICE THAT EMANATES FROM UNION

If union is now the reality, the voice is the natural consequence. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, establishes a clear dynamic in John 10. You can read more about it later after the study.

The Divine Order is that we need to know before we hear.

John 10:27 “I know them, and they follow me.”

We think: “I need to hear to know.” God reverses it: “You “It is known to me, therefore you can hear it.”

The voice of God is not a secret code. It is the natural conversation of the Shepherd with the sheep that already belongs to Him. Spiritual hearing will come through relationship, not a mystical ability. We understand the voice of God because we have a relationship with Him and with His teaching man (established man). Through his teachings we are able to understand the voice of God accurately.

Having “The Mind of Christ” will lead us to perfectly understand the voice and will of the Father.

1 Corinthians 2:16  “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Who could teach him anything or give him advice?” But we truly possess the mind of Christ.

Being united with Him, we have access to His way of thinking, discerning, and evaluating reality. The Holy Spirit renews our minds.

Romans 12:2  “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” “And so you will learn, through your own experience, the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”

So that the voice of God may be filtered through a mental structure aligned with the written Word (Logos). The voice (Rhema) never contradicts the Word (Logos).

HOW THE VOICE MANIFESTS ITSELF IN PRACTICE

Yoked to Christ, the voice of God is not, and never will be, monotonous.

Hebrews 1:1 “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets in many different ways.” God spoke “many times and in many ways.” Let’s look at the main ways in which this union manifests itself audibly or perceptually:

Through the Written Word (The Logos that becomes Rhema)

The Holy Spirit, who dwells in us, “illuminates” His Word. Suddenly, a verse brings the exact answer to your prayer. This is the Author (God) through the Holy Spirit speaking to the reader (us) who is united to He.

The Whisper of the Spirit

It becomes still and gentle.

1 Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

It is not audible to physical ears, but it is an unmistakable perception in the spirit.

It often manifests as a thought that is not our own—wiser, purer, deeper. “Your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.'”(Isaiah)

Psalm 30:21 “If you turn aside from the path, going to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice behind you saying, ‘This is the right way; walk in it!'”

Our union with Christ will cause us to hear God’s voice through Sovereign Peace.

Colossians 3:15 “Let the peace of Christ always be present in your hearts and lives, for this is the responsibility and privilege you have as members of his body. And be always thankful.”

Through the Body of Christ (Godly Counsel)

As members of the same body, God often uses other mature brothers and sisters to confirm a direction.

Proverbs 11:14 “A nation where there is no wise man falls, but where there are prudent counselors, the people live in safety.”

The Invitation to Intimacy

“Yoked to Christ, Yoked to the voice of God” is not a theory, it is the reality of the new creation in Christ Jesus. Jesus did not leave us trying to guess His will. His will is explicit through His Word. But we will only be able to know it if we know His culture, His doctrine, and this is contained in His Word…

Christ grafted us into Himself so that His life might flow in us, including His constant guidance.

The challenge is not to make God speak louder. It is to quiet ourselves enough and believe that, because we are one with Christ, we already have the capacity to discern His voice. Like Samuel, who at first did not recognize the voice of the Lord, but through the teaching and instruction of Eli, was enabled to discern the voice of God.

1 Samuel 3:10 “And the Lord called again as at other times, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ And Samuel answered, ‘SPEAK, FOR YOUR SERVANT IS LISTENING!'”

May today’s perspectives be not only informative, but transformative. As we understand what it means to be “in Christ,” may our ears be opened to the ongoing relationship that the Father desires to have with us always, today, tomorrow, and forever.

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Being joined to Him in intimacy implies clarity of the voice of God. The voice of God is key to rest.

Isaiah 30:18 Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him. 19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem; You shall weep no more. He will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry; When He hears it, He will answer you. 20 And though the Lord gives you The bread of adversity and the water of affliction, Yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, But your eyes shall see your teachers. 21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left. 22 You will also defile the covering of your images of silver, And the ornament of your molded images of gold. You will throw them away as an unclean thing; You will say to them, “Get away!”

His voice is activated by your cry. Your teacher today is the Holy Spirit. When you are yoked to Christ, there is clarity of the voice and will of God. God speaks today through dreams, visions, impromptu thought, signs and wonders, impressions and unctions, his servants and messengers, angels and the Word of God. 

God speaks often through His Word. His voice today is His Word. 

Revelation 1:15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters

Psalms 29:3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The LORD is over many waters.

A single Word from the Lord can sort out your distress.

Psalms 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

“Word” is derived from the Hebrew word “dabar (H1697)”, and is a masculine noun meaning : word, speech, matter. This frequent word has a wide range of meanings associated with it. It was used to convey divine communication.  (CWSB Dictionary)

The Word in this context is called the spoken word, often a scripture that stands out to convict and reform. The written word becomes the spoken word in our context. We called this the Rhema (Greek) or Dabar (Hebrew).

A Gentile who received a visitation from an angel with an instruction that would connect him to the Apostle Paul

The voice of the Lord is your way out in a conflict. The voice of God prevails in your circumstances. The voice declares peace in the storm. It is the sound of many waters. Jesus said “My sheep hear My voice”.

The Voice brings rest – Saul on the Damascus Road

Acts 9:1 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” 5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Saul was a Jewish fanatic – a Pharisee of Pharisees, a custodian of the Law. The new way of Christ threatened his way of life. It was a great offence to his customs and upbringing. He did not know that he was attacking Christ. The goad is used to provoke a beast to move. By kicking against the goad, the beast would hurt itself. God was saying that Saul was going to suffer serious injury by fighting what God was doing. He could not hope to succeed against God. 

The voice of God stopped the “kicking against the pricks” and brought rest to Saul, the Christian antagonist. 

The voice of God resolved conflict in apostolic journeys.

Acts 16:7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. 8 So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

The instruction of Christ was that the disciples must go into all the world and preach the gospel (Mark 16:15). But at Mysia they were forbidden by the Spirit to go into Bithynia. This was clearly conflicting with the initial demand of Christ. We know that the Spirit and the Word must agree. The apostle was certain it was the voice of the Spirit of God doing the forbidding. God has instructed us to go but the Spirit determines the timing. The vision that appeared to Paul was the voice of God, bring clarity to apostolic movements. The clear voice of God through the vision concludes the matter of entry into Macedonia in God’s timing.

YOKED TO CHRIST – YOKED TO THE VOICE OF GOD

When we speak about the voice of God, we are entering the realm of the supernatural.

There are various ways that the Lord communicates with individuals.

We know that God speaks through dreams, visions, signs and wonders, thoughts, His Servants, His Messengers, His Prophets; however, the most consistent, trustworthy and immutable foundation of our faith through which the voice of God would be heard is the Word of God. 

It is important to note that God not only speaks to believers; He also communicates with unbelievers, for example ….

Cornelius 

King Nebuchadnezzar  The king had a Divine encounter with “a holy watcher coming down from heaven” in a dream which only Daniel was able to interpret.

Daniel 4:13 “I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven. 14 He cried aloud and said thus: Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, Strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get out from under it, And the birds from its branches. 15 Nevertheless leave the stump and roots in the earth, Bound with a band of iron and bronze, In the tender grass of the field.Let it be wet with the dew of heaven, And let him graze with the beasts On the grass of the earth. 16 Let his heart be changed from that of a man, Let him be given the heart of a beast, And let seven times pass over him. 17 ‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’ 18 “This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you.”

Balaam  God speaks to a pagan Diviner instructing him not to curse a “blessed” people

Numbers 22:9 Then God came to Balaam and said, “Who are these men with you?” 10 So Balaam said to God, “Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent to me, saying, 11 ‘Look, a people has come out of Egypt, and they cover the face of the earth. Come now, curse them for me; perhaps I shall be able to overpower them and drive them out.’ ” 12 And God said to Balaam, “You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.”

THE VOICE OF THE LORD CAME REGULARLY TO THE APOSTLE PAUL 

Firstly, when He encountered the Lord on the road to Damascus. 

Acts 9:3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” 5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” 6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Paul presents himself as a “bondservant of the Lord” to the Romans

Romans 1:1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God

The ministry of Paul reveals him being “yoked to Christ” with great clarity and perfection, having changed from being a Pharisee of Pharisees being “yoked to the Law” to being “yoked to Christ” 

Galatians 219 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

THIS IS THE REASON PAUL SET A CONDITION FOR BELIEVERS WHO WOULD DESIRE TO IMITATE HIM 

The condition was that his yoke with Christ Jesus must always be clearly visible. 

1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ (King James Version)

THE VOICE OF THE LORD WARNS PAUL TO LEAVE JERUSALEM BECAUSE OF THE INTENSITY OF THE PERSECUTION 

Acts 22:17 “Now it happened, when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I was in a trance 18 and saw Him saying to me, Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, for they will not receive your testimony concerning Me.’

THE VOICE OF THE LORD INSTRUCTS PAUL NOT TO BE SILENT. THE LORD PROMISES DIVINE PROTECTION

Acts 18:9 Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.” 11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

THE LORD ASSURES PAUL OF THE ALL SUFFICIENCY OF HIS GRACE TO HELP HIM WITH THE THORN IN HIS FLESH

2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Believers who are able to hear the voice of the Lord do not need to be embarrassed or apologise for this spiritual gift.

WHEN BELIEVERS ARE YOKED TO JESUS, THEY ARE ABLE TO HEAR HIS VOICE FROM ALL THE OTHER VOICES

MJohn 10:26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

THE LORD ALSO USES THE PREACHER AS HIS INSTRUMENT TO MAKE HIS WORD AND HIS VOICE  HEARD

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

A voz de Deus não é apenas um som audível, mas é composta por toda a Sua vontade, todo o Seu caráter e toda a Sua verdade.

João 10:27 “As minhas ovelhas ouvem minha voz, e eu as conheço, e elas me seguem.”

Desde o Éden, o pecado criou separação entre Deus e o homem. A voz de Deus, que antes era ouvida na curva do dia em comunhão cara a cara, tornou-se distante e até aterrorizante para o homem caído.

Gênesis 3:8 “Naquela noite, ouviram o som do Senhor Deus andando no jardim, e se esconderam entre as árvores.”

No Sinai, o povo pediu a Moisés que fosse seu mediador porque a voz de Deus os fazia tremer e temer.

Êxodo 20:19 “Os israelitas disseram a Moisés: ‘Tu deves falar conosco. Vamos ouvir vocês.'” “É melhor que Deus não fale diretamente conosco, para que não morramos.”

No entanto, o plano de Deus sempre foi restaurar a intimidade e o relacionamento.

Agora, “unidos a Cristo”, o canal de comunicação foi restaurado. Isso não é misticismo, mas uma posição forense e uma experiência relacional reativada.

A BASE DA NOSSA UNIÃO COM CRISTO

Para ouvir a voz de Deus, primeiro precisamos entender onde estamos espiritualmente. Estar em Cristo é a espinha dorsal da fé cristã. Cristo é a base da nossa fé.

Sua morte e ressurreição nos trouxeram identificação.

Romanos 6:5 “Pois se fomos unidos a ele pela semelhança de sua morte, certamente estaremos também à semelhança de sua ressurreição.”

A palavra grega para “unidos” aqui é symphytos, que significa “plantados juntos”, “crescer juntos”. É um termo agrícola. Um galho enxertado não está apenas preso à árvore; Ele passa a compartilhar a mesma seiva, a mesma vida. Isso significa que a Voz de Deus não é um sinal externo que percebemos, mas uma vida interior que podemos compartilhar.

Agora somos um só Espírito com Ele, em 1 Coríntios 6:17 isso vai ainda mais fundo:

1 Coríntios 6:17 “Aquele que está unido ao Senhor é um só espírito com Ele.”

União não é apenas uma aliança, é uma fusão espiritual. Se formos um só espírito com Cristo, o Espírito Santo que falou através dos profetas agora habita em nós, e Sua voz brota de dentro, do nosso espírito recriado.

A VOZ QUE EMANA DA UNIÃO

Se a união é agora a realidade, a voz é a consequência natural. Jesus, o Bom Pastor, estabelece uma dinâmica clara em João 10. Você pode ler mais sobre isso depois, após o estudo.

A Ordem Divina é que precisamos saber antes de ouvir.

João 10:27 “Eu os conheço, e eles me seguem.”

Pensamos: “Preciso ouvir para saber.” Deus inverte isso: “Vocês “É conhecido por mim, portanto podem ouvi-lo.”

A voz de Deus não é um código secreto. É a conversa natural do Pastor com as ovelhas que já pertence a Ele. A audição espiritual vem por meio de relacionamentos, não de uma habilidade mística. Compreendemos a voz de Deus porque temos uma relação com Ele e com Seu homem que doutrina a igreja (homem estabelecido). Por meio de seus ensinamentos, conseguimos compreender a voz de Deus com precisão.

Ter “A Mente de Cristo” nos levará a compreender perfeitamente a voz e a vontade do Pai.

1 Coríntios 2:16 “Quem conheceu a mente do Senhor? Quem poderia ensinar algo ou dar conselhos?” Mas realmente possuímos a mente de Cristo.

Ao estarmos unidos a Ele, temos acesso à Sua forma de pensar, discernir e avaliar a realidade. O Espírito Santo renova nossas mentes.

Romanos 12:2 “Não se conformem ao padrão deste mundo, mas sejam transformados pelo renovar da vossa mente.” “E assim aprenderás, por meio da sua própria experiência, a boa, agradável e perfeita vontade de Deus.”

Para que a voz de Deus possa ser filtrada por uma estrutura mental alinhada com a Palavra escrita (Logos). A voz (Rhema) nunca contradiz a Palavra (Logos).

COMO A VOZ SE MANIFESTA NA PRÁTICA

Ligada a Cristo, a voz de Deus não é, e nunca será, monótona.

Hebreus 1:1 “No passado, Deus falou aos nossos ancestrais por meio dos profetas de muitas maneiras diferentes.” Deus falou “muitas vezes e de muitas maneiras.” Vamos analisar as principais formas pelas quais essa união se manifesta de forma audível ou perceptiva:

Através da Palavra Escrita (O Logos que se torna Rhema)

O Espírito Santo, que habita em nós, “ilumina” Sua Palavra. De repente, um versículo traz a resposta exata da sua oração. Este é o Autor (Deus), por meio do Espírito Santo, falando ao leitor (nós) que está unido a Ele.

O Sussurro do Espírito

Fica quieto e suave.

1 Reis 19:12 E depois do terremoto houve um incêndio, mas o Senhor não estava no fogo. E depois do fogo veio um sussurro suave.

Não é audível para ouvidos físicos, mas é uma percepção inconfundível no espírito.

Frequentemente se manifesta como um pensamento que não é nosso — mais sábio, mais puro, mais profundo. “Seus ouvidos ouvirão uma palavra atrás de vocês, dizendo: ‘Este é o caminho; andar nele.'” (Isaías)

Salmo 30:21 “Se você se desviar do caminho, indo para a direita ou para a esquerda, ouvirá uma voz atrás de si dizendo: ‘Este é o caminho certo; anda nela!'”

Nossa união com Cristo fará com que ouçamos a voz de Deus através da Paz Soberana.

Colossenses 3:15 “Que a paz de Cristo esteja sempre presente em seus corações e vidas, pois essa é a responsabilidade e o privilégio que vocês têm como membros do corpo dele. E seja sempre grato.”

Por meio do Corpo de Cristo (Conselho Piedoso)

Como membros do mesmo corpo, Deus frequentemente usa outros irmãos e irmãs maduros para confirmar uma direção.

Provérbios 11:14 “A nação onde não há sábio cai, mas onde há conselheiros prudentes, o povo vive em segurança.”

O Convite para a Intimidade

“Ligados a Cristo, Ligados à voz de Deus” não é uma teoria, é a realidade da nova criação em Cristo Jesus. Jesus não nos deixou tentando adivinhar a vontade dele. Sua vontade é explícita por meio de Sua Palavra. Mas só poderemos conhecê-la se conhecermos Sua cultura, Suadoutrina, e isso está contido em Sua Palavra…

Cristo nos enxertou em Si mesmo para que Sua vida pudesse fluir em nós, incluindo Sua orientação constante.

O desafio não é fazer Deus falar mais alto. É para nos calarmos o suficiente e acreditar que, por sermos um com Cristo, já temos a capacidade de discernir Sua voz. Como Samuel, que inicialmente não reconhecia a voz do Senhor, mas, por meio do ensino e instrução de Eli, foi capaz de discernir a voz de Deus.

1 Samuel 3:10 “E o Senhor chamou novamente, como em outros momentos, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ E Samuel respondeu: ‘FALE, POIS SEU SERVO ESTÁ OUVINDO!'”

Que as perspectivas de hoje sejam não apenas informativas, mas transformadoras. À medida que entendemos o que significa estar “em Cristo”, que nossos ouvidos estejam abertos para a relação contínua que o Pai deseja ter conosco para sempre, hoje, amanhã e para sempre.

Mateus 11:28 Vinde a mim, todos vós que trabalhais e estão pesados, e eu vos darei descanso. 29 Tomem Meu jugo sobre vós e aprendam de mim, pois sou gentil e humilde de coração, e vocês encontrarão descanso para as vossas almas. 30 Pois o meu jugo é fácil e meu fardo é leve.”

Estar unido a Ele em intimidade implica clareza da voz de Deus. A voz de Deus é fundamental para o descanso.

Isaías 30:18 Por isso o SENHOR esperará para que Ele seja misericordioso para vocês; E por isso Ele será exaltado, para que tenha misericórdia de vocês. Pois o SENHOR é um Deus de justiça; Benditos todos os que esperam por Ele. 19 Pois o povo habitará em Sião em Jerusalém; Você não chorará mais. Ele será muito generoso com você ao ouvir seu grito; Quando Ele ouvir, Ele vai te responder. 20 E embora o Senhor vos dê o pão da adversidade e a água da aflição, ainda assim os vossos mestres não se afastarão mais, mas os vossos olhos verão os mestres. 21 Seus ouvidos ouvirão uma palavra atrás de vocês, dizendo: “Este é o caminho, ande nele,” sempre que virar para a direita Ou sempre que virar para a esquerda. 22 Você também vai profanar a cobertura de suas imagens de prata, E o ornamento das suas imagens moldadas de ouro. Você os descartará como algo impuro; Você vai dizer a eles: “Saiam daqui!”

 

A voz dele é ativada pelo seu grito. Seu professor hoje é o Espírito Santo. Quando você está ligado a Cristo, há clareza na voz e na vontade de Deus. Deus fala hoje por meio de sonhos, visões, pensamentos improvisados, sinais e maravilhas, impressões e unções, seus servos e mensageiros, anjos e a Palavra de Deus.

Deus fala frequentemente através de Sua Palavra. A voz dele hoje é Sua Palavra.

Apocalipse 1:15 Seus pés eram como bronze fino, como se refinados em uma fornalha, e Sua voz como o som de muitas águas

Salmos 29:3 A voz do SENHOR está sobre as águas; O Deus da glória troveja; O SENHOR está sobre muitas águas.

Uma única Palavra do Senhor pode resolver sua aflição.

Um gentio que recebeu uma visitação de um anjo com uma instrução que o conectaria ao apóstolo Paulo

A voz do Senhor é sua saída em um conflito. A voz de Deus prevalece em suas circunstâncias. A voz declara paz na tempestade. É o som de muitas águas. Jesus disse: “As minhas ovelhas, ouçam a minha voz”.

A Voz traz descanso – Saul na Estrada de Damasco

Atos 9:1 Então Saulo, ainda proferindo ameaças e assassinatos contra os discípulos do Senhor, foi ao sumo sacerdote 2 e pediu cartas dele para as sinagogas de Damasco, para que, se encontrasse algum do Caminho, fosse homem ou mulher, pudesse levá-lo a Jerusalém. 3 Enquanto viajava, aproximou-se de Damasco, e de repente uma luz brilhou ao seu redor vinda do céu. 4 Então ele caiu no chão e ouviu uma voz dizendo-lhe: “Saul, Saul, por que Me persegues?” 5 E ele disse: “Quem és Tu, Senhor?” Então o Senhor disse: “Eu sou Jesus, a quem vocês perseguem. É difícil para você chutar contra os provocadores.” 6 Então ele, tremendo e surpreso, disse: “Senhor, o que Tu queres que eu faça?” Então o Senhor lhe disse: “Levanta-te e vai para a cidade, e te será dito o que deves fazer.”

Saul era um fanático judeu – um fariseu dos fariseus, um guardião da Lei. O novo caminho de Cristo ameaçava seu modo de vida. Foi uma grande ofensa aos seus costumes e criação. Ele não sabia que estava atacando Cristo. O bastão é usado para provocar uma besta a se mover. Ao chutar contra o impulso, a fera se machucava. Deus estava dizendo que Saul sofreria ferimentos graves lutando contra o que Deus estava fazendo. Ele não podia esperar ter sucesso contra Deus.

A voz de Deus parou de “chutar os idiotas” e trouxe descanso a Saulo, o antagonista cristão.

A voz de Deus resolvia conflitos em jornadas apostólicas.

Atos 16:7 Depois de chegarem a Misia, tentaram entrar na Bitínia, mas o Espírito não permitiu. 8 Assim, passando por Misia, desceram até Troas. 9 E uma visão apareceu a Paulo na noite. Um homem da Macedônia se levantou e implorou, dizendo: “Venha para a Macedônia e nos ajude.” 10 Agora, depois de ter visto a visão, imediatamente buscamos ir à Macedônia, concluindo que o Senhor nos chamara para pregar o evangelho a eles.

A instrução de Cristo era que os discípulos deveriam ir a todo o mundo e pregar o evangelho (Marcos 16:15). Mas em Mísia, eles foram proibidos pelo Espírito de entrar na Bitínia. Isso claramente conflitava com a demanda inicial de Cristo. Sabemos que o Espírito e a Palavra devem concordar. O apóstolo tinha certeza de que era a voz do Espírito de Deus fazendo o que proibia. Deus nos instruiu a ir, mas o Espírito determina o momento. A visão que apareceu a Paulo foi a voz de Deus, trazendo clareza aos movimentos apostólicos. A voz clara de Deus através da visão conclui a questão da entrada na Macedônia no tempo de Deus.

Quando falamos sobre a voz de Deus, estamos entrando no reino do sobrenatural.

Existem várias maneiras pelas quais o Senhor se comunica com os indivíduos.

Sabemos que Deus fala por meio de sonhos, visões, sinais e maravilhas, pensamentos, Seus servos, Seus Mensageiros, Seus Profetas; no entanto, o fundamento mais consistente, confiável e imutável de nossa fé, através do qual a voz de Deus seria ouvida, é a Palavra de Deus.

É importante notar que Deus não fala apenas aos crentes; Ele também se comunica com descrentes, por exemplo…

Rei Nabucodonosor O rei teve um encontro divino com “um santo vigia descendo do céu” em um sonho que só Daniel conseguiu interpretar.

Daniel 4:13 “Vi nas visões da minha cabeça enquanto estava na cama, e havia um vigia, um santo, descendo do céu. 14 Ele clamou alto e disse assim: Cortem a árvore e cortem seus galhos, arrancem suas folhas e espalhem seus frutos. Deixe as feras escaparem debaixo dele, E os pássaros dos galhos. 15 No entanto, deixem o toco e as raízes na terra, Presos com uma faixa de ferro e bronze, Na erva delicada do campo. Balaão Deus fala com um Adivinho pagão, instruindo-o a não amaldiçoar um povo “abençoado”

A VOZ DO SENHOR VINHA REGULARMENTE AO APÓSTOLO PAULO

Primeiramente, quando encontrou o Senhor no caminho para Damasco.

Atos 9:3 Enquanto viajava, aproximou-se de Damasco, e de repente uma luz brilhou ao seu redor vinda do céu. 4 Então ele caiu no chão e ouviu uma voz dizendo-lhe: “Saul, Saul, por que Me persegues?” 5 E ele disse: “Quem és Tu, Senhor?” Então o Senhor disse: “Eu sou Jesus, a quem vocês perseguem. Paulo se apresenta como um “servo do Senhor” para os romanos

A VOZ DO SENHOR ALERTA PAULO PARA DEIXAR JERUSALÉM DEVIDO À INTENSIDADE DA PERSEGUIÇÃO

Atos 22:17 “Aconteceu, quando voltei a Jerusalém e estava orando no templo, que eu estava em transe 18 e o vi dizendo-me: Apressa-te e sai depressa de Jerusalém, pois eles não receberão o teu testemunho sobre mim.”

Os crentes que conseguem ouvir a voz do Senhor não precisam se sentir envergonhados ou pedir desculpas por esse dom espiritual.

Before we begin to examine some governing principles in the administration of King David, I would like to highlight the influence our mental filters have in our relationship with a supernatural God. When we take the yoke of Christ, we are also yoked to the supernatural realm; we are yoked to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, the Word of God and as long as we remain faithfully yoked to Christ, we are yoked to His  Presence. 

When we are yoked to Christ, we are yoked to and permanently conscious of ALL of His attributes. We are acutely aware of being yoked to the One who first loved us, a God of love, mercy, compassion as well as a God who is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:28,29). The love of God forgives evil but does not rejoice in it. We see this represented in the Ark of God also. The same rod of Aaron that is resting quietly in the Ark of God, can quickly transform into a serpent when thrown to the ground (earth), and when confronted by Egyptian magicians, sorcerers, warlocks, wizards and witches that seek to enforce their supremacy over those chosen, divinely coded and sent by God.

The reason seeds scattered from the Word of God often fall by the wayside is because they are rejected by mental filters that we have subconsciously installed.

These filters are the consequence of our upbringing, our formative academic education, indoctrination and theology, our experiences in relationships, our specialised professional skills and graces, our prejudices, our experiential knowledge and wisdom, our personal family history and other influences.

HERE IS THE POINT

These filters are extremely important in that they help us to make informed quality decisions, especially in matters that require specific skills and expertise. 

However, our yoke with Christ, must allow the Word of the Lord the sovereign right to override and overshadow our filters, where necessary, especially when we need Divine intervention, help from above. 

This is clearly revealed in the comments of the idolatrous King Jehoram, son of Ahab and Jezebel, to a desperate woman during the devastating famine in Samaria ….

2 Kings 6:27 And he said, “If the LORD does not help you, where can I find help for you? From the threshing floor or from the winepress?”

Let us examine some of the filters that are evident in the Scriptures

BUSINESS FILTER

Luke 5:4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” 5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. 7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” 

Peter, James and John were seasoned fishermen. They had a fishing business that was constituted as a partnership. They were not novices. When Jesus gave Peter an instruction to “launch out into the deep”, Peter responded like a typical business person because of his mental filter, which informed him that they utilised their resources through the whole night and had nothing to show for it; they utilised their time, their energy, their finances, their sleep. 

“Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” (Verse 5)

However, Peter allows the Word of the Lord supremacy over his filters. He used the word “nevertheless” at Your word I will let down the net. 

The Greek word for nevertheless is ….. dé; a particle standing after one or two words in a clause, strictly adversative, but more frequently denoting transition or conversion, and serving to introduce something else, whether opposed to what precedes or simply continuative or explanatory. Generally it has the meaning of but, and, or also, namely. (I) Adversative, meaning but, on the contrary, on the other hand. (CWSB Dictionary)

It simply means contrary and opposed to what has preceded, in spite of the grass withering and the flower fading, the Word of the Lord endures forever.

This means this “proceeding Word from the Lord” must be allowed to override Peter’s assessment of the situation (his business filter)

AGRICULTURAL FILTER

Elisha declares a massive prophecy that will shift the entire economy in Samaria

2 Kings 7:1 Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the LORD: Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’

The filter of unbelief – based on our academic understanding of the economy and the agricultural process that requires 

• sowing of seed
• time for germination
• growth above ground
• reproduction
• Final ripening for harvest

The complete agricultural cycle takes 3-5 months.  The comment by the officer on whose hand the king leaned exposed his agricultural filter that rejected the prophetic Word from Elisha.  

2 Kings 7:2 So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?”And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”

Whilst the filter in the mind of the officer of the king informed him about the natural agricultural cycle, there are those who are yoked with Christ who believe beyond the natural. We see things that God is able to do that escapes the most ingenious minds; that the Lord is able to deliver His people in the most unexpected, supernatural ways.

THEOLOGICAL FILTER

Peter’s vision of the large sheet with all kinds of four-legged animals was a revelation from heaven concerning Peter’s ministry to the Gentiles. However, Peter referred to these various types of animals as unclean based on his theological filter (Leviticus 11:42).

Peter had to submit his theology to the “proceeding” Word of the Lord when the voice of the Lord declared that He has cleansed all these animals. We know that this vision was not just about the animals; it was the Lord resetting Peter’s filters to embrace his ministry to the Gentiles who were regarded as “unclean” by the Jews.

Leviticus 11:42 Whatever crawls on its belly, whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet among all creeping things that creep on the earth—these you shall not eat, for they are an abomination.

Acts 10:10 Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance 11 and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. 12 In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. 13 And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.”14 But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” 15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” 16 This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.

ANOTHER THEOLOGICAL FILTER 

If the Lord did not inform Elijah about his method of sustaining  and providing for him in the wilderness, Elijah would have rejected the raven as the carrier of grace, as his theology would have been founded on Leviticus 11:13, that would have regarded the raven as an abomination among the birds and this would have deprived Elijah of his nourishment and grace in the wilderness 

1 Kings 17:4 And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”

ETHNIC, CULTURAL DISCRIMINATORY FILTER Jesus talking to the Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob revealed the “separatist mentality” of the Samaritan as well as causing His disciples to marvel

John 4:9
9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

John 4:27 And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He talked with a woman; yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why are You talking with her?”

Jesus travelling through Samaria and conversing with the Samaritan woman was a deliberate, intentional strategy that He used for the gospel to access the city of Samaria

John 4:3-4
3 He left Judea and departed again to Galilee. 4 But He needed to go through Samaria.

Jesus finally overrides her “separatist” filter when she abandons her water pot and begins to witness about her encounter with her Messiah. Because of her witness, the men of the city came to Him

John 4:28-30
28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 29 “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” 30 Then they went out of the city and came to Him.

Let us now examine some of the governing principles of David without allowing our filters to cause seed to fall by the wayside

At the outset, we embrace the spiritual reality that Christ is the ultimate expression of the Ark of God; secondly because Christ is the believer’s place of habitation, as Paul would write, “For in him we live and move and have our being,” we accept that the believer, the present day spiritual temple, is the spiritual resting place of the Ark of God (a spiritual union where the Holy Spirit resides within the believer)

We know that David was zealous and passionate about bringing the Ark into Jerusalem. 

The striking feature of the governance of David was that he was wholly devoted in his worship of the one true God. About one thousand years later, Jesus coming through the lineage of David, revealed the same passion in His declaration of the First and Great Commandment …….

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

Over 250 years later a young king Hezekiah would have read the records of the governance by all the kings before him. Hezekiah chose to follow the “ways of David” because he shared in David’s devotion to the one true God and his repulsion of idolatry. 

Rather than being known as the son of King Ahaz, who was known for supporting widespread idolatry which included the sacrifice of his children to pagan deities, 

Hezekiah would have preferred to have been called the grandson of Zechariah – the Kohathite Levite

As a young king he immediately proceeded to initiate various reforms that would turn the hearts of the people back to a covenant keeping God. 

Hezekiah would have read about David’s leadership concerning the Ark of God. He would have noted David’s integrity in his communications with the priesthood.

1 Chronicles 15:11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab. 12 He said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it. 13 For because you did not do it the first time, the LORD our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order.”

The context is that David has called for a meeting with his spiritual leadership, which includes the priests and the Levites,

to discuss a second attempt to bring the Ark into Jerusalem 

Included in his spiritual leadership are the prominent priests Zadok (descendant of Aaron from the tribe of Levi) and Abiathar (David’s trusted spiritual advisor)

David’s leadership style embraces the need for CORPORATE COMMUNICATION OF THE PRIESTHOOD.

This was a major assignment for David because it attempts to correct his previous failure. 

Hezekiah would have picked this up when he studied David’s management style. Hezekiah recognised the need to harness the corporate grace of the spiritual leadership that was available to him. He places the same demand upon the Levites and the priesthood to sanctify themselves; this is a call for sanctification and consecration; they should be set apart to focus on their priestly duties in the Temple.

2 Chronicles 29:3 In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the LORD and repaired them. 4 Then he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them in the East Square, 5 and said to them: “Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place.

Hezekiah clearly studied David’s management model

HEZEKIAH DID THIS IN THE FIRST MONTH OF HIS FIRST YEAR AS A KING

The experiential wisdom of David may have been formed over many years, from the oversight of a few sheep of his father, to the cave in Adullam where he managed discontented, debt ridden, disgruntled men and to the city of Ziklag where men with specialised skills and graces came to him.

Hezekiah implemented the knowledge and experiential wisdom of David in the first month of the first year of his reign (2 Chronicles 29:3)

Both men demonstrate great clarity in their communication. The reason authentic apostolic houses experience a high turnover of people is because of clarity in their instructions. Clarity in speech often causes offense

KEY PRINCIPLE OF GOVERNANCE TO LEARN FROM DAVID

We cannot expect a successful corporate outcome without corporate communication. For example David could have communicated only with Abiathar (David’s trusted spiritual advisor) and Zadok  (tribe of Levi) who was a descendant of Aaron. David could have excluded the priesthood. When there is a problem David must be careful not to lay the blame on the entire spiritual leadership for not doing things in their “proper order”. This would be regarded as “gaslighting”the priesthood.

THE PRIMARY LEVEL OF ACCOUNTABILITY OF THE PRIESTHOOD IS TO GOD AND HIS WORD

1 Chronicles 15:12 He said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it. 13 For because you did not do it the first time, the LORD our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order.”

Both David and Hezekiah held the priesthood accountable to the Lord and His Word. David was clearly not referring to himself when he declared “we did not consult Him about the proper order”.

Remember that one of the core functions of the priesthood was to teach and preserve the Law of Moses; they were primarily accountable to God and His Laws, statutes, decrees and ordinances. 

In this present day, as the royal priesthood of God, we are accountable to the Lord and to the entirety of His Word (66 books)

The Word of God is the entrustment of the royal priesthood.

PROPER ORDER (NKJV DUE ORDER (Original KJV)

mišpāṭ: A masculine noun meaning a judgment, a legal decision, a legal case, a claim, proper, rectitude. The word connotes several variations in meanings depending on the context. It is used to describe a legal decision or judgment rendered: it describes a legal decision given by God to be followed by the people (Isaiah 58:2; Zephaniah 2:3; Malachi 2:17). These decisions could come through the use of the Urim and Thummim (Numbers 27:21). The high priest wore a pouch called the breastpiece of justice, containing the Urim and Thummim by which decisions were obtained from the Lord (Exodus 28:30). Doing what was right and just in the Lord’s eyes was far more important than presenting sacrifices to Him (Genesis 18:19; Proverbs 21:3, 15). God was declared to be the Judge of the whole earth who rendered justice faithfully (Genesis 18:25; Isaiah 30:18). In the plural form, the word describes legal judgments, cases, examples, laws, and specifications. (CWSB Dictionary)

This word deals entirely and comprehensively with Divine Justice (laws of God)

Isaiah 22 declares that the Lord is the ultimate Lawgiver

We see elements of the Ark of God that are embedded in the foundations of His throne.

Righteousness, justice, mercy, truth.

Psalms 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.

Malachi 2:7 “For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

Because of a distracted priesthood, judgement fell on the whole nation. In their zeal to bring the Ark into the city, they overlooked the demands of the Law

The feature of David’s leadership is that he  takes joint ownership of the failed attempt to bring the Ark the first time.

David now acknowledges that there is a “proper order” that both he and the priesthood and the Levites had overlooked 

The autonomy of the priesthood and the judiciary (mispat) is clearly seen here in the organogram that compares the governance of David to the idolatrous reign of the Ahab/Jezebel system of governance 

The institutional model of building is vulnerable to being corrupted by the spirit of Jezebel because of its hierarchical system of governance; there are various tiers of leadership, from the top tier to the middle tier to those at the base in order of importance and status.

The governance of David, protects the Divine mandate of the priesthood, prophets and Levites to hear from God and to enforce and preserve the laws of God. 

The administration of Ahab and Jezebel take ownership of the priesthood and the prophetic voice whilst the prophets of God are murdered and a remnant of the prophets of God have to be hidden in caves in the wilderness. 

The principal purpose of Jezebel is to destroy leadership; deceitfully plotting the overthrow and decapitation of heads of households and families. The spirit of Jezebel is a New Testament reality operating in the church in Thyatira (Revelation 2:20).

The spirit of Jezebel despises the office of a spiritual father, the head of a household. 

He is the representative of the Eternal Father; he is a representative of Christ, the Chief Shepherd. This demonic Spirit infiltrates the household by planting its minions and scoundrels to destabilise and cause fragmentation and anarchy within the household, turning the hearts of spiritual sons away from the spiritual father.

The point of access of five fold grace into the household is through the Door of the sheepfold and access is facilitated and administrated by the spiritual father. 

The father/son wineskin has been inspired by the essential doctrine of the Holy Trinity. It is impossible to separate, divide or fragment the union between God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We should not make the same error as David when he did not consult with the Lord and His Word concerning the “proper order”

LET US OBSERVE DAVID’S  LEADERSHIP SKILLS IN ENGAGING NABAL WHO IS THE HEAD OVER HIS HOUSEHOLD AND HIS ESTATE

1 Samuel 25:4 When David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep, 5 David sent ten young men; and David said to the young men, “Go up to Carmel, go to Nabal, and greet him in my name. 6 And thus you shall say to him who lives in prosperity: Peace be to you, peace to your house, and peace to all that you have! 7 Now I have heard that you have shearers. Your shepherds were with us, and we did not hurt them, nor was there anything missing from them all the while they were in Carmel. 8 Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we come on a feast day. Please give whatever comes to your hand to your servants and to your son David.’ 9 So when David’s young men came, they spoke to Nabal according to all these words in the name of David, and waited.

KEY PRINCIPLES IN COMMUNICATION

David chose ten young men who were suitable for a diplomatic mission. David did not send his military or members of the priesthood. David opted for “soft diplomacy”. These men would have been trusted by David to explicitly follow his instructions

The instruction is to go to Nabal; not to his wife or any other member of his family. The Davidic model respects and honors the leadership in another man’s field.

David teaches them how to greet Nabal “Peace be to you, peace to your house, and peace to all that you have! ” Jesus gives His disciples the same command.                  

Luke 10:5 But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ 6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you.

David lays out his credentials for a bilateral relationship. “Your men will  testify of our integrity” When your men were in Carmel we provided a safe environment for your shepherds (pastors); nothing was stolen from them nor did anything go missing.  

As we have helped you in good faith, we now need your help and we have come on a Feast Day

Historically leaders may focus on the foolishness of Nabal. If you are a student of the “ways of David” you will conclude that ………

PRINCÍPIOS DE GOVERNANÇA DE DAVI

Antes de começarmos a examinar alguns princípios governantes na administração do Rei Davi, gostaria de destacar a influência que nossos filtros mentais têm em nosso relacionamento com um Deus sobrenatural. Quando tomamos o jugo de Cristo, também estamos ligados ao reino sobrenatural; estamos ligados a Deus Pai, Deus Filho e Deus Espírito Santo, Palavra de Deus, e enquanto permanecermos fielmente ligados a Cristo, estamos ligados à Sua Presença.

Quando estamos unidos a Cristo, estamos unidos e permanentemente conscientes de TODOS os Seus atributos. Temos plena consciência de estarmos unidos Àquele que nos amou primeiro, um Deus de amor, misericórdia e compaixão, bem como um Deus que é fogo consumidor (Hebreus 12:28,29). O amor de Deus perdoa o mal, mas não se alegra com ele. Vemos isso representado também na Arca de Deus. A mesma vara de Arão que repousava tranquilamente na Arca de Deus pode se transformar rapidamente em uma serpente quando lançada ao chão (terra) e quando confrontada por magos, feiticeiros, bruxos e bruxas egípcios que buscam impor sua supremacia sobre os escolhidos, divinamente designados e enviados por Deus.

A razão pela qual sementes espalhadas pela Palavra de Deus frequentemente caem de lado é porque são rejeitadas por filtros mentais que instalamos subconscientemente.

Esses filtros são consequência de nossa criação, nossa formação acadêmica, doutrinação e teologia, nossas experiências em relacionamentos, nossas habilidades e graças profissionais especializadas, nossos preconceitos, nosso conhecimento e sabedoria experiencial, nossa história familiar pessoal e outras influências.

AQUI ESTÁ O PONTO

Esses filtros são extremamente importantes porque nos ajudam a tomar decisões informadas de qualidade, especialmente em assuntos que exigem habilidades e expertise específicas.

No entanto, nosso jugo com Cristo deve permitir que a Palavra do Senhor, o direito soberano, sobreponha e ofusque nossos filtros, quando necessário, especialmente quando precisamos de intervenção divina, ajuda do céu.

Isso é claramente revelado nos comentários do idólatra rei Jorão, filho de Acabe e Jezabel, a uma mulher desesperada durante a devastadora fome em Samaria….

2 Reis 6:27 E ele disse: “Se o SENHOR não vos ajudar, onde posso eu encontrar ajuda para vocês? Da debulha ou da prensa de vinho?”

Vamos examinar alguns dos filtros que são evidentes nas Escrituras

FILTRO DE NEGÓCIOS

Lucas 5:4 Quando Ele parou de falar, disse a Simão: “Lança-te nas profundezas e solta as redes para pegar uma peça.” 5 Mas Simão respondeu e disse: “Mestre, trabalhamos a noite toda e não pegamos nada; no entanto, por Sua palavra, vou baixar a rede.” 6 E quando fizeram isso, pegaram muitos peixes, e sua rede estava se rompendo. 7 Então sinalizaram para seus parceiros no outro barco virem ajudá-los. E eles vieram e encheram os dois barcos, de modo que começaram a afundar. 8 Quando Simão Pedro viu, caiu de joelhos de Jesus, dizendo: “Afasta-te de mim, pois sou um homem pecador, ó Senhor!”

Pedro, Tiago e João eram pescadores experientes. Eles tinham um negócio de pesca constituído como sociedade. Eles não eram novatos. Quando Jesus deu a Pedro a instrução de “partir para as profundezas”, Pedro respondeu como um típico empresário por causa de seu filtro mental, que o informou de que eles utilizaram seus recursos durante toda a noite e não tinham nada a mostrar; Eles utilizavam seu tempo, sua energia, suas finanças, seu sono.

“Mestre, trabalhamos a noite toda e não pegamos nada; no entanto, por Sua palavra, vou baixar a rede.” (Verso 5)

No entanto, Pedro permite que a Palavra do Senhor tenha supremacia sobre seus filtros. Ele usou a palavra “mesmo assim” na sua palavra: vou baixar a rede.

A palavra grega para, no entanto, é….. dé; uma partícula que se posiciona após uma ou duas palavras em uma oração, estritamente adversativa, mas mais frequentemente denotando transição ou conversão, e servindo para introduzir algo diferente, seja em oposição ao que precede ou simplesmente contínua ou explicativa. Geralmente, tem o significado de “mas”, e, ou também, ou seja. (I) Adversativo, significando, ao contrário, por outro lado. (Dicionário CWSB)

Significa simplesmente contrário e oposto ao que precedeu, apesar da grama murchar e da flor murchar, a Palavra do Senhor perdura para sempre.

Isso significa que essa “Palavra procedente do Senhor” deve ser permitida sobrepor à avaliação de Pedro sobre a situação (seu filtro de negócios)

FILTRO AGRÍCOLA

Eliseu declara uma profecia enorme que mudará toda a economia da Samaria

2 Reis 7:1 Então Eliseu disse: “Ouçam a palavra do SENHOR. Assim diz o SENHOR: Amanhã, por esta hora, um seah de farinha fina será vendido por um shekel, e dois seahs de cevada por um shekel, na porta da Samaria.’

O filtro da descrença – baseado em nosso entendimento acadêmico da economia e do processo agrícola que exige

• Semeadura de sementes

• Tempo para germinação

• Crescimento acima do solo

• Reprodução

• Maturação final para a colheita

O ciclo agrícola completo leva de 3 a 5 meses. O comentário do oficial na mão do qual o rei se apoiava expôs seu filtro agrícola que rejeitava a Palavra profética de Eliseu.

2 Reis 7:2 Então um oficial na mão de quem o rei se apoiava respondeu ao homem de Deus e disse: “Vejam, se o SENHOR fizesse janelas no céu, poderia ser assim?”

E ele disse: “Na verdade, você verá com seus olhos, mas não comerá dela.”

Enquanto o filtro na mente do oficial do rei o informava sobre o ciclo agrícola natural, há aqueles que estão ligados a Cristo e acreditam além do natural. Vemos coisas que Deus é capaz de fazer e que escapam às mentes mais engenhosas; que o Senhor é capaz de libertar Seu povo das maneiras mais inesperadas e sobrenaturais.

FILTRO TEOLÓGICO

A visão de Pedro do grande lençol com todos os tipos de animais de quatro patas foi uma revelação dos céus sobre o ministério de Pedro aos gentios. No entanto, Pedro se referiu a esses vários tipos de animais como impuros com base em seu filtro teológico (Levítico 11:42)

Pedro teve que submeter sua teologia à “Palavra do Senhor” quando a voz do Senhor declarou que Ele purificou todos esses animais. Sabemos que essa visão não era apenas sobre os animais; foi o Senhor reajustando os filtros de Pedro para abraçar seu ministério aos gentios que eram considerados “impuros” pelos judeus.

Levítico 11:42 Tudo o que rasteja sobre sua barriga, tudo o que vai de quatro, ou o que tem muitos pés entre todas as criaturas rastejantes que rastejam na terra — essas não comerás, pois são abominações.

Atos 10:10 Então ele ficou com muita fome e quis comer; mas enquanto se preparavam, ele entrou em transe 11 e viu o céu se abrir e um objeto como um grande lençol se amarrar nos quatro cantos, descendo até ele e descendo até a terra. 12 Nela havia todo tipo de animais da terra de quatro patas, feras selvagens, criaturas rastejantes e aves do céu. 13 E uma voz veio até ele: “Levanta-te, Pedro; matar e comer.” 14 Mas Pedro disse: “Não é assim, Senhor! Pois nunca comi nada comum ou impuro.” 15 E uma voz falou novamente com ele pela segunda vez: “O que Deus purificou, você não deve chamar de comum.” 16 Isso foi feito três vezes. OUTRO FILTRO TEOLÓGICO

Se o Senhor não tivesse informado Elias sobre seu método de sustentá-lo e provê-lo no deserto, Elias teria rejeitado o corvo como portador da graça, pois sua teologia teria sido fundada em Levítico 11:13, que teria considerado o corvo como uma abominação entre as aves e isso teria privado Elias de seu alimento e graça no deserto

1 Reis 17:4 E assim será que vocês bebam do riacho, e eu ordenei aos corvos que os alimentassem lá.”

FILTRO ÉTNICO E CULTURAL DISCRIMINATÓRIO A conversa de Jesus com a mulher samaritana junto ao poço de Jacó revelou a “mentalidade separatista” dos samaritanos e causou admiração em seus discípulos.

João 4:9 Disse-lhe, pois, a mulher samaritana: Como, sendo tu judeu, me pedes de beber a mim, que sou mulher samaritana (porque os judeus não se comunicam com os samaritanos)? 

João 4:27 E nisso vieram os seus discípulos e maravilharam-se de que estivesse falando com uma mulher; todavia, nenhum lhe disse: Que perguntas? ou: Por que falas com ela?

A viagem de Jesus pela Samaria e a conversa com a mulher samaritana foram uma estratégia deliberada e intencional que Ele usou para levar o evangelho até a cidade de Samaria.

João 4:3 deixou a Judeia e foi outra vez para a Galileia. 4 E era-lhe necessário passar por Samaria

Jesus finalmente supera o filtro “separatista” dela quando ela abandona seu cântaro e começa a testemunhar sobre seu encontro com o Messias. Por causa do testemunho dela, os homens da cidade vieram até Ele.

João 4: 28 Deixou, pois, a mulher o seu cântaro, e foi à cidade, e disse àqueles homens: 29 Vinde e vede um homem que me disse tudo quanto tenho feito; porventura, não é este o Cristo? 30 Saíram, pois, da cidade e foram ter com Ele.

Vamos agora examinar alguns dos princípios que regem Davi sem permitir que nossos filtros deixem a semente cair de lado

No início, abraçamos a realidade espiritual de que Cristo é a expressão máxima da Arca de Deus; segundo, porque Cristo é o lugar de habitação do crente, como Paulo escreveria, “Pois nele vivemos, nos movemos e temos nosso ser”, aceitamos que o crente, o templo espiritual atual, é o local de descanso espiritual da Arca de Deus (uma união espiritual onde o Espírito Santo reside dentro do crente)

Sabemos que Davi era zeloso e apaixonado por trazer a Arca para Jerusalém.

A característica marcante do governo de Davi era que ele era totalmente dedicado em sua adoração ao único Deus verdadeiro. Cerca de mil anos depois, Jesus, vindo pela linhagem de Davi, revelou a mesma paixão em Sua declaração do Primeiro e Grande Mandamento …….

Mateus 22:37 Jesus lhe disse: “‘Amarás o SENHOR teu Deus com todo o teu coração, com toda a tua alma e com toda a tua mente.’

Mais de 250 anos depois, um jovem rei Ezequias teria lido os registros do governo de todos os reis anteriores. Ezequias escolheu seguir os “caminhos de Davi” porque compartilhava da devoção de Davi ao único Deus verdadeiro e de sua repulsa à idolatria.

Em vez de ser conhecido como filho do rei Acaz, que era conhecido por apoiar uma idolatria generalizada que incluía o sacrifício de seus filhos a divindades pagãs,

Ezequias preferiria ser chamado de neto de Zacarias – o levita coatita

Como jovem rei, ele imediatamente iniciou várias reformas que fariam o coração do povo voltar a uma aliança que guardasse Deus.

Ezequias teria lido sobre a liderança de Davi em relação à Arca de Deus. Ele teria notado a integridade de Davi em suas comunicações com o sacerdócio.

1 Crônicas 15:11 E Davi chamou Zadoque e Abiatar, os sacerdotes, e os levitas: Uriel, Asasías, Joel, Semaias, Eliel e Aminadabe. 12 Ele lhes disse: “Vós são os chefes das casas dos pais dos levitas; santifiquem-se, vós e seus irmãos, para que possam trazer a arca do SENHOR Deus de Israel ao lugar que preparei para ela. 13 Pois porque você não fez isso da primeira vez, o SENHOR nosso Deus se rebelou contra nós, porque não o consultamos sobre a ordem correta.”

O contexto é que Davi convocou uma reunião com sua liderança espiritual, que inclui os sacerdotes e os levitas,

para discutir uma segunda tentativa de trazer a Arca para Jerusalém

Em sua liderança espiritual estão os sacerdotes proeminentes Zadoque (descendente de Aarão da tribo de Levi) e Abiatar (conselheiro espiritual de confiança de Davi)

O estilo de liderança de Davi abraça a necessidade da COMUNICAÇÃO CORPORATIVA DO SACERDÓCIO.

Essa foi uma tarefa importante para Davi porque tenta corrigir seu fracasso anterior.

Ezequias teria percebido isso quando estudou o estilo de gestão de Davi. Ezequias reconheceu a necessidade de aproveitar a graça corporativa da liderança espiritual que lhe estava disponível. Ele impõe a mesma exigência aos levitas e ao sacerdócio para que se santifiquem; este é um chamado para santificação e consagração; eles devem ser separados para focar em seus deveres sacerdotais no Templo.

2 Crônicas 29:3 No primeiro ano de seu reinado, no primeiro mês, ele abriu as portas da casa do SENHOR e as reparou. 4 Então ele trouxe os sacerdotes e os levitas, e os reuniu na Praça Leste, 5 e disse-lhes: “Ouçam-me, levitas! Agora santifiquem-se, santifiquem a casa do SENHOR Deus de vossos antepassados e retirem o lixo do lugar sagrado.

Ezequias claramente estudou o modelo de gestão de Davi

EZEQUIAS FEZ ISSO NO PRIMEIRO MÊS DE SEU PRIMEIRO ANO COMO REI

A sabedoria experiencial de Davi pode ter sido formada ao longo de muitos anos, desde a supervisão de algumas ovelhas de seu pai, até a caverna em Adulão onde ele lidava homens descontentes, endividados e descontentes, e até a cidade de Ziclague, onde homens com habilidades e graças especializadas vinham até ele.

Ezequias aplicou o conhecimento e a sabedoria experiencial de Davi no primeiro mês do primeiro ano de seu reinado (2 Crônicas 29:3)

Ambos demonstram grande clareza em sua comunicação. A razão pela qual as casas apostólicas autênticas enfrentam uma alta rotatividade de pessoas é por causa da clareza em suas instruções. A clareza na fala frequentemente gera ofensa

PRINCÍPIO-CHAVE DA GOVERNANÇA: APRENDER COM DAVI

Não podemos esperar um resultado corporativo bem-sucedido sem comunicação corporativa. Por exemplo, Davi só poderia ter se comunicado com Abiatar(conselheiro espiritual confiável de Davi) e Zadoque (tribo de Levi), que era descendente de Aarão. Davi poderia ter excluído o sacerdócio. Quando há um problema, Davi deve tomar cuidado para não culpar toda a liderança espiritual por não fazer as coisas na “ordem correta”. Isso seria considerado “gaslighting” (Manipular alguém usando métodos psicológicos para levá-lo a questionar sua própria sanidade ou capacidade de raciocínio.) do sacerdócio.

O NÍVEL PRIMÁRIO DE RESPONSABILIDADE DO SACERDÓCIO É PERANTE DEUS E SUA PALAVRA

1 Crônicas 15:12 Ele lhes disse: “Vós são os chefes das casas dos pais dos levitas; santifiquem-se, vós e seus irmãos, para que possam trazer a arca do SENHOR Deus de Israel ao lugar que preparei para ela. 13 Pois porque você não fez isso da primeira vez, o SENHOR nosso Deus se rebelou contra nós, porque não o consultamos sobre a ordem correta.”

Tanto Davi quanto Ezequias responsabilizavam o sacerdócio perante o Senhor e Sua Palavra. Davi claramente não se referia a si mesmo quando declarou: “não o consultamos sobre a ordem adequada”.

Lembre-se de que uma das funções centrais do sacerdócio era ensinar e preservar a Lei de Moisés; eles eram principalmente responsáveis perante Deus e Suas Leis, estatutos, decretos e ordenanças.

Nos dias atuais, como o sacerdócio real de Deus, somos responsáveis perante o Senhor e perante a totalidade de Sua Palavra (66 livros)

A Palavra de Deus é a confiança do sacerdócio real.

ORDEM PRÓPRIA (NKJV ORDEM DEVIDA (Original KJV)

mišpāṭ: Um substantivo masculino que significa um julgamento, uma decisão legal, um caso jurídico, uma reivindicação, correta, retidão. A palavra apresenta várias variações de significado dependendo do contexto. É usado para descrever uma decisão ou julgamento legal proferido: descreve uma decisão legal dada por Deus a ser seguida pelo povo (Isaías 58:2; Sofonias 2:3; Malaquias 2:17). Essas decisões podiam ocorrer pelo uso do Urim e do Tumim (Números 27:21). O sumo sacerdote usava uma bolsa chamada peitoral da justiça, contendo o Urim e o Tumim, pelos quais as decisões eram obtidas do Senhor (Êxodo 28:30). Fazer o que era certo e justo aos olhos do Senhor era muito mais importante do que apresentar sacrifícios a Ele (Gênesis 18:19; Provérbios 21:3, 15). Deus foi declarado Juiz de toda a terra, que fez justiça fielmente (Gênesis 18:25; Isaías 30:18). No plural, a palavra descreve decisões jurídicas, casos, exemplos, leis e especificações. (Dicionário CWSB)

Essa palavra trata de forma completa e abrangente da Justiça Divina (leis de Deus)

Isaías 22 declara que o Senhor é o Legislador supremo

Vemos elementos da Arca de Deus que estão embutidos nos alicerces de Seu trono.

Justiça, justiça, misericórdia, verdade.

Salmos 89:14 A retidão e a justiça são o fundamento do Teu trono; Misericórdia e verdade vão antes de Sua face.

Malaquias 2:7 “Pois os lábios do sacerdote devem guardar o conhecimento, e o povo deve buscar a lei da sua boca; Pois ele é o mensageiro do SENHOR dos exércitos.

Por causa de um sacerdócio distraído, o julgamento caiu sobre toda a nação. Em seu zelo para trazer a Arca para a cidade, ignoraram as exigências da Lei

A característica da liderança de Davi é que ele assume a copropriedade da tentativa fracassada de trazer a Arca pela primeira vez.

Davi agora reconhece que existe uma “ordem adequada” que tanto ele, o sacerdócio quanto os levitas haviam ignorado

A autonomia do sacerdócio e do judiciário (erro) é claramente vista aqui no organograma que compara o governo de Davi ao reinado idólatra do sistema de governança de Hab/Jezabel

O modelo institucional de construção é vulnerável a ser corrompido pelo espírito de Jezabel devido ao seu sistema hierárquico de governança; Existem vários níveis de liderança, do topo ao médio e aos da base, em ordem de importância e status.

A governança de Davi protege o mandato divino do sacerdócio, dos profetas e dos levitas para ouvir Deus e para fazer cumprir e preservar as leis de Deus.

A administração de Acabe e Jezabel assume a posse do sacerdócio e da voz profética, enquanto os profetas de Deus são assassinados e um remanescente dos profetas de Deus precisa ser escondido em cavernas no deserto.

O principal propósito de Jezabel é destruir a liderança; conspirando de forma enganosa para derrubar e decapitar chefes de família e famílias. O espírito de Jezabel é uma realidade do Novo Testamento que opera na igreja em Tiatira (Apocalipse 2:20).

O espírito de Jezabel despreza o ofício de um pai espiritual, chefe de família.

Ele é o representante do Pai Eterno; ele é um representante de Cristo, o Pastor Chefe. Esse Espírito demoníaco infiltra-se na casa plantando seus capangas e canalhas para desestabilizar e causar fragmentação e anarquia dentro do lar, afastando os corações dos filhos espirituais do pai espiritual.

O ponto de acesso da graça quíntupla à casa é pela Porta do curral e o acesso é facilitado e administrado pelo pai espiritual.

O odre de vinho pai/filho foi inspirado pela doutrina essencial da Santíssima Trindade. É impossível separar, dividir ou fragmentar a união entre Deus Pai, Deus Filho e Deus Espírito Santo. Não devemos cometer o mesmo erro que Davi quando ele não consultou o Senhor e Sua Palavra sobre a “ordem adequada”

VAMOS OBSERVAR AS HABILIDADES DE LIDERANÇA DE DAVI AO ENGAJAR NABAL, QUE É O CHEFE DE SUA CASA E DE SUA PROPRIEDADE

1 Samuel 25:4 Quando Davi ouviu no deserto que Nabal estava tosquiando suas ovelhas, 5 Davi enviou dez jovens; e Davi disse aos jovens: “Vão até Carmelo, vão até Nabal e cumprimentem-no em meu nome. 6 E assim darás a quem vive na prosperidade: Paz para vocês, paz para vossa casa e paz para todos os que vocês têm! 7 Agora ouvi dizer que vocês têm tosquiadores. Seus pastores estavam conosco, e não os machucamos, nem faltou nada deles durante todo o tempo em que estavam em Carmel. 8 Pergunte aos seus jovens, e eles vão te dizer. Por isso, que meus jovens encontrem favor aos seus olhos, pois viemos em um dia de festa. PRINCÍPIOS-CHAVE NA COMUNICAÇÃO

Davi escolheu dez jovens adequados para uma missão diplomática. Davi não enviou seus militares nem membros do sacerdócio. Davi optou pela “diplomacia suave”. Esses homens seriam confiados por Davi para seguir explicitamente suas instruções

A instrução é ir para Nabal; nem com sua esposa nem com qualquer outro membro da família. O modelo davídico respeita e honra a liderança no campo de outro homem.

Davi ensina a eles como cumprimentar Nabal: “Paz para vocês, paz para sua casa e paz para todos os que têm!” Jesus dá aos seus discípulos o mesmo mandamento.

Lucas 10:5 Mas em qualquer casa que você entre, primeiro diga: ‘Paz a esta casa.’ 6 E se um filho da paz estiver lá, sua paz repousará nele; Se não, ele vai voltar para você.

Davi expõe suas credenciais para um relacionamento bilateral. “Seus homens testemunharão nossa integridade” Quando seus homens estavam em Carmel, proporcionamos um ambiente seguro para seus pastores (pastores); nada foi roubado deles nem nada desapareceu.

Taking the Yoke of Christ – Sonship and Rest

1 Peter 1:1 “Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia.” (NIV)

Introduction This letter was written by Peter to believers living in various regions of what is now modern-day Turkey. He addresses them as God’s elect—those chosen by God—and as exiles or strangers, emphasizing that their ultimate citizenship is in God’s Kingdom rather than in this world.

Peter reminds believers of two foundational truths:

1. You Are Chosen by God

Your relationship with God is rooted in His grace, purpose, and eternal plan. Before the foundations of the world, God knew you and called you to belong to Him.

2. You Are a Pilgrim in This World

While Christians live in earthly societies, their deepest identity and hope are found in Christ and His eternal Kingdom.

We should never forget who we are: people loved by God, called by Him, and living with an eternal perspective.

Even when you feel out of place in the world, you are known by God, chosen in Christ, and part of His people.

Christ Living in Us The Gospel has become a living reality through Jesus Christ. God is living in us through His Spirit, and His character is being revealed through our lives. Christ lives in us, and God is transforming us into the likeness of His Son.This is the profound spiritual union taught throughout the New Testament.

The Believer’s Union with Christ “But whoever is united with the Lord is one with Him in spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 6:17

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” — Galatians 2:20

When Christ lives in us, we are no longer defined by our old life. We have been given a new identity, a new purpose, and a new relationship with God.

His presence strengthens us, guides us, and transforms us from within.

Because Christ Lives in You – You are never alone. – You have access to His strength and grace. – You are called to reflect His character. – Your life becomes a testimony of His power and love. – You can find true rest by taking His yoke upon you.

Jesus said ….. “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:29)

The yoke of Christ is not a burden of religious performance; it is a relationship of sonship, surrender, and fellowship with Him. As we walk with Christ, we discover the rest that comes from trusting the Father’s will.

Conclusion To be one with Christ means: – We belong to Him. – We share in His victory over sin and death. – His Spirit lives within us. – Our lives should reflect His character.

This union is not merely symbolic; it is a spiritual reality. As branches are connected to the vine, believers are connected to Christ and receive life from Him.

“I am the vine; you are the branches.” — John 15:5

When we abide in Christ, His presence becomes visible in our words, actions, attitudes, and relationships. We are called to live in such a way that the world can see Jesus through us.

“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” — Colossians 1:27

May we continually take the yoke of Christ upon us, walk in our identity as sons and daughters of God, and experience the rest that comes from abiding in Him.

TAKING THE YOKE OF CHRIST – SONSHIP AND REST

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Jesus advocated the taking of His yoke to find rest for our souls. Jesus was yoked to Father God. 

John 10:30 I and My Father are one.”

His statements declare His intimate joining with Father God.

• If you know Me, you know My Father (John 14:7)
• If you receive Me, then you receive my Father (Matthew 10:40, Mark 9:37)
• If you imitate Me, you are imitating My Father, because I do exactly what My Father does (John 5:19, John 6:38, John 4.34)
• If you see Me, you see My Father (John 14:9)
• I speak what My Father speaks – if you hear Me, you hear My Father (John 12:49-50)

The implication of His statement : “Take My yoke upon you” is that we also must become sons of God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

The word “sons” is derived from the Greek word “teknon” (G5043). “Huios” and “teknon” are two Greek words translated as sons in King James Version, obscuring the subtle but important differences

TEKNON Teknon (G5043) means child, descendent, inhabitant (Strongs Greek Lexicon)

• one who has been birthed to another. Emphasises one’s origin. All believers become tekna by faith
• Emphasises true, genuine children (Thayer)
• Emphasises affectionate relationship (Thayer)
• Emphasises a childlike dependent relationship – not childishness (Helps Word Studies)

Teknon points to one’s origin and implies one who is cherished and loved by the Father. It is an expression of tenderness and affection. The term is used to affirm the deep love and care of the Father for His son. The older son in the prodigal story of Luke 15 was pacified by being called teknon. The father referred to his younger son as huios.

The use of teknon in the following scriptures :

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons (teknon) of God, even to them that believe on his name:

This scripture should read “become the children of God”. All of us become children of God by faith – believing and receiving Christ.

1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children (teknon) of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

Here also, teknon should be translated as children. The word implies deep affection for all those who are children of God

Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

In Verses 16 and 17, the word “children” is teknon. The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are teknon – states our point of origin. We are born from above. We are authentically saved ones. We are heirs or possessors of God. We can be possessors if God and still have no authority.

Galatians 4:1 Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, 2 but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.

Here Paul uses the word nepios to indicate that you could be authentic, but as long as you are immature you will still live as a slave.

Paul continues in Roman 8

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

The created order is waiting for the manifestation of HUIOS SONS – MATURE SONS

The father/son wineskin is inspired by the relationships within the Holy Trinity.

John 10:30 “I and My Father are one.”

Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!

Jesus made a clear, unambiguous statement that triggered the Jews to the point where they wanted to stone him (John 10:31-32). He was accused of blasphemy for “making Himself a God being a man”.

To understand the words of Jesus, we must understand the essential doctrine of the Holy Trinity.

The three persons of the Trinity, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are co-equal and co- eternal and share the same Divine nature and essence. However, they are  functionally distinct from each other.

The three persons of the Trinity are not conflicted in their doctrines. They are inseparable, indivisible and united in purpose.

Jesus prayed, just before His crucifixion,  that this model of oneness may be manifested and visible in His disciples 

John 17:11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.

Jesus prays for oneness among all believers 

John 17:20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

This expression of oneness within the Trinity must be represented within a father/son wineskin

This scripture demonstrates the transition from a “teknon” son (child like, immature) to a “huios” son (spiritually, emotionally mature)

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Assumindo o Jugo de Cristo – Filiação e Descanso

1 Pedro 1:1 “Pedro, apóstolo de Jesus Cristo, aos eleitos de Deus, exilados espalhados pelas províncias de Ponto, Galácia, Capadócia, Ásia e Bitínia.” (NIV)

Introdução: Esta carta foi escrita por Pedro para fiéis que vivem em várias regiões do que hoje é a Turquia. Ele os chama de eleitos de Deus — aqueles escolhidos por Deus — e como exilados ou estrangeiros, enfatizando que sua cidadania última está no Reino de Deus, e não neste mundo.

Pedro lembra aos crentes duas verdades fundamentais:

1. Você é escolhido por Deus

Seu relacionamento com Deus está enraizado na graça, propósito e plano eterno de Sua vida. Antes dos alicerces do mundo, Deus te conhecia e te chamava a pertencer a Ele.

2. Você é um peregrino neste mundo

Embora os cristãos vivam em sociedades terrenas, sua identidade e esperança mais profundas estão em Cristo e em Seu Reino eterno.

Nunca devemos esquecer quem somos: pessoas amadas por Deus, chamadas por Ele e vivendo com uma perspectiva eterna.

Mesmo quando você se sente deslocado no mundo, você é conhecido por Deus, escolhido em Cristo e parte do Seu povo.

Cristo Vivendo em Nós O Evangelho se tornou uma realidade viva por meio de Jesus Cristo. Deus está vivendo em nós por meio de Seu Espírito, e Seu caráter está sendo revelado através de nossas vidas. Cristo vive em nós, e Deus está nos transformando à semelhança de Seu Filho. Esta é a profunda união espiritual ensinada ao longo do Novo Testamento.

A União do Crente com Cristo “Mas quem está unido ao Senhor é um com Ele em espírito.” — 1 Coríntios 6:17

“Fui crucificado com Cristo e não vivo mais, mas Cristo vive em mim.” — Gálatas 2:20

Quando Cristo vive em nós, não somos mais definidos pela nossa vida antiga. Recebemos uma nova identidade, um novo propósito e uma nova relação com Deus.

Sua presença nos fortalece, guia e nos transforma por dentro.

Porque Cristo vive em Você – Você nunca está sozinho. – Você tem acesso à força e graça Dele. – Você está chamado a refletir Seu caráter. – Sua vida torna-se um testemunho do poder e do amor d’Ele. – Você pode encontrar o verdadeiro descanso tomando Seu jugo sobre você.

Jesus disse ….. “Tomem meu jugo sobre vós e aprendam comigo, pois sou gentil e humilde de coração, e vocês encontrarão descanso para suas almas.” (Mateus 11:29)

O jugo de Cristo não é um fardo do desempenho religioso; é uma relação de filiação, entrega e comunhão com Ele. Enquanto caminhamos com Cristo, descobrimos o descanso que vem de confiar na vontade do Pai.

Conclusão: Ser um com Cristo significa: – Pertencemos a Ele. – Compartilhamos Sua vitória sobre o pecado e a morte. – Seu Espírito vive em nós. – Nossas vidas devem refletir o caráter dele.

Essa união não é meramente simbólica; é uma realidade espiritual. Assim como os ramos estão conectados à videira, os crentes estão conectados a Cristo e recebem vida dele.

“Eu sou a videira; vocês são os galhos.” — João 15:5

Quando permanecemos em Cristo, Sua presença se torna visível em nossas palavras, ações, atitudes e relacionamentos. Somos chamados a viver de modo que o mundo possa ver Jesus através de nós.

“Cristo em vós, a esperança da glória.” — Colossenses 1:27

Que possamos continuamente carregar sobre nós o jugo de Cristo, caminhar em nossa identidade como filhos e filhas de Deus e experimentar o descanso que vem de permanecer nele.

TOMANDO O JUGO DE CRISTO – FILIAÇÃO E DESCANSO

Mateus 11:28 Vinde a mim, todos vós que trabalhais e estão pesados, e eu vos darei descanso. 29 Tomem Meu jugo sobre vós e aprendam de mim, pois sou gentil e humilde de coração, e vocês encontrarão descanso para as vossas almas. 30 Pois o meu jugo é fácil e meu fardo é leve.”

Jesus defendia a tomada de Seu jugo para encontrar descanso para nossas almas. Jesus foi ligado ao Pai Deus.

João 10:30 Eu e Meu Pai somos um só.”

Suas declarações declaram sua união íntima com o Pai Deus.

• Se você me conhece, conhece Meu Pai (João 14:7)

• Se você me recebe, então recebe meu Pai (Mateus 10:40, Marcos 9:37)

• Se você me imita, está imitando Meu Pai, porque eu faço exatamente o que Meu Pai faz (João 5:19, João 6:38, João 4,34)

• Se você me vê, você vê Meu Pai (João 14:9)

• Eu falo o que Meu Pai fala – se você me ouve, você ouve Meu Pai (João 12:49-50)

A palavra “sons” deriva do grego “teknon” (G5043). “Huios” e “teknon” são duas palavras gregas traduzidas como filhos na versão King James, obscurecendo as diferenças sutis, mas importantes

TEKNON Teknon (G5043) significa criança, descendente, habitante (Léxico Grego Strongs)

• um que foi gerado a outro. Enfatiza a origem de alguém. Todos os crentes tornam-se tekna pela fé

• Enfatiza crianças verdadeiras e genuínas (Thayer)

• Enfatiza o relacionamento afetuoso (Thayer)

• Enfatiza uma relação infantil dependente – não infantil (Estudos de Palavras Ajuda)

Teknon aponta para a origem de alguém e sugere alguém que é amado e amado pelo Pai. É uma expressão de ternura e afeto. O termo é usado para afirmar o profundo amor e cuidado do Pai por Seu filho. O filho mais velho na história pródiga de Lucas 15 foi pacificado ao ser chamado de teknon. O pai se referia ao filho mais novo como huios.

O uso de teknon nas seguintes escrituras:

João 1:12 Mas tantos quanto o receberam, lhes deu poder para se tornarem filhos (teknon) de Deus, até aqueles que acreditam em seu nome:

Esta escritura deveria dizer “tornem-se filhos de Deus”. Todos nós nos tornamos filhos de Deus pela fé – acreditando e recebendo Cristo.

1 João 3:1 Eis que tipo de amor o Pai nos concedeu, para que sejamos chamados filhos (teknon) de Deus! Portanto, o mundo não nos conhece, porque não o conheceu.

Aqui também, teknon deve ser traduzido como crianças. A palavra implica um profundo afeto por todos que são filhos de Deus

Romanos 8:16 O próprio Espírito testemunha com nosso espírito que somos filhos de Deus, 17 e, se somos filhos, então herdeiros — herdeiros de Deus e herdeiros conjuntos com Cristo, se realmente sofrermos com Ele, para que também sejamos glorificados juntos.

Nos versículos 16 e 17, a palavra “crianças” é teknon. O Espírito testemunha com nosso espírito que somos teknon– declara nosso ponto de origem. Nascemos do alto. Somos autênticamente salvos. Somos herdeiros ou possuidores de Deus. Podemos ser possuidores de Deus e ainda assim não ter autoridade.

Gálatas 4:1 Agora digo que o herdeiro, enquanto criança, não difere em nada de um escravo, embora seja senhor de todos, 2, mas esteja sob guardiões e administradores até o tempo designado pelo pai.

Aqui Paulo usa a palavra nepios para indicar que você pode ser autêntico, mas enquanto for imaturo, ainda viverá como escravo.

Paulo continua em Romanos 8

Romanos 8:19 Pois a sincera expectativa da criação aguarda ansiosamente a revelação dos filhos de Deus.

A ordem criada está esperando pela manifestação de HUIOS SONS – FILHOS MADUROS

O odre de vinho pai/filho é inspirado pelas relações dentro da Santíssima Trindade.

João 10:30 “Eu e meu Pai somos um só.”

Deuteronômio 6:4 “Ouçai, ó Israel: O SENHOR nosso Deus, o SENHOR é um só!

Jesus fez uma declaração clara e inequívoca que desencadeou os judeus a ponto de quererem apedrejá-lo (João 10:31-32). Ele foi acusado de blasfêmia por “se fazer um Deus sendo homem”.

Para entender as palavras de Jesus, devemos compreender a doutrina essencial da Santíssima Trindade.

As três pessoas da Trindade, Pai, Filho e o Espírito Santo, são co-iguais e co-eternas e compartilham a mesma natureza e essência Divina. No entanto, eles são funcionalmente distintos entre si.

As três pessoas da Trindade não estão em conflito em suas doutrinas. Elas são inseparáveis, indivisíveis e unidas em propósito.

Jesus orou, pouco antes de Sua crucificação, para que este modelo de unidade possa ser manifestado e visível em Seus discípulos.

João 17:11 Agora não estou mais no mundo, mas eles estão no mundo, e eu venho a Ti. Santo Pai, guarda em Teu nome aqueles que Me deste, para que sejam um como Nós somos.

Jesus ora pela unidade entre todos os crentes.

João 17:20 “Não rogo somente por estes, mas também por aqueles que crerão em Mim por meio da sua palavra; 21 para que todos sejam um, como Tu, Pai, estás em Mim, e Eu em Ti; para que também sejam um em Nós, para que o mundo creia que Tu Me enviaste.

Essa expressão de unidade dentro da Trindade deve ser representada em uma canta de vinho pai/filho

Esta escritura demonstra a transição de um filho “teknon” (infantil, imaturo) para um filho “huios” (espiritualmente e emocionalmente maduro)

1 Coríntios 13:11 Quando eu era criança, eu falava como criança, entendia como criança, pensava como criança; mas quando me tornei homem, deixei de lado as coisas infantis.
