To those who are committed to this present reformation, our desire is to cultivate a spiritual habitat for the people of God, who indeed are becoming an endangered species concerning the emergence of a dark sub culture.

There has never been a more pressing moment in time than this, where it is imperative for the people of God to return to His ways. The ways of God are established by His Word, not from our five senses. We do not present ourselves as those who have attained a state of perfection; it is becoming increasingly apparent that we are all a “work in progress”. We look to the nature of the Perfect One, Christ, drawing strength and comfort from Him through His Word and through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Our plans and strategies may make such great sense to us, yet when we present them to the Lord, they may not survive Divine scrutiny.

We will examine some of the challenges experienced by Paul and David this morning, leaders whose lives minister to us, as we confront various challenges in our walk with God, particularly dealing with betrayal. In spite of all their great exploits both Paul and David experienced great anguish concerning betrayal.

DAVID

David, a man after God’s own heart, was experiencing a very difficult time coming to terms with betrayal. Although David was a mighty warrior who experienced great victories, yet he experienced great distress concerning betrayal. He could vanquish great opponents like Goliath, yet his heart was vulnerable because a Davidic company enjoins their hearts with those who come to them in peace.

David, a man after God’s own heart, knew the solution before the men came to him. It was David who declared God to be his avenger.

“if you betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look and bring judgment”

Here is the dilemma and conflict.

We are also like David where we know that God will deliver the righteous from all their afflictions. Yet our hearts are so overwhelmed and we are easily distracted by the issues of this life. It is easier said than done to consistently demonstrate our faith in the Word and promises of God. We have to recognize the frailties in our human nature.

If David knew that God would judge his betrayers, then why would he tell God in his psalms (these are David’s exact words)

Psalms 55:15 Let death seize them; Let them go down alive into hell, For wickedness is in their dwellings and among them.

He further declares :

Psalms 58:6 Break their teeth in their mouth, O God! Break out the fangs of the young lions, O LORD!

These words are a clear revelation that the heart of David is overwhelmed with the pain of betrayal and rebellion. We cannot deny our human construct. In the midst of the battle it is easy for us to forget that the Lord is the Avenger of the righteous. We have to endure the weeping in our “night season” in order to experience the joy and mercies of the new day.

David’s solution to his problems is found in Psalm 61

Psalms 61

1 Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer.

2 From the end of the earth I will cry to You,

When my heart is overwhelmed;

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 For You have been a shelter for me,

A strong tower from the enemy.

4 I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;

I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.

Selah

5 For You, O God, have heard my vows;

You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.

6 You will prolong the king’s life,

His years as many generations.

When our hearts are overwhelmed, we need to seek help from a higher realm.

David is crying out to his God, his Avenger.

David placed his trust in the fact that God observes all things, especially those things concerning His covenant people. David is asking God to lead him to touch a level that is beyond the highest level in this natural world. As a king David has all the human, material and financial resources at his disposal, yet none of his vast resources can help him heal from his emotional trauma.

When we have exhausted from trying all natural sources for relief, it is time to reach out to the Rock, Christ Jesus to bring stability to our situation.

Sadly many believers are measuring success and progress by using the scales of this world; they attach great value to their chariots, horses, their majestic dwelling places, their silver and gold and other material and tangible assets.

As a king none of these things brought David rest or peace.

This pandemic has caused some of the leaders of the wealthiest nations of this world to bow their knees before an Almighty God in prayer.

David’s salvation comes from God.

Psalms 62:1-6

1 Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.

2 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. 3 How long will you attack a man? You shall be slain, all of you,

Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence.

Now let us look at the Apostle Paul. Paul experienced much persecution in his ministry. Paul talks about a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of satan, that was permitted by the Lord to buffet and test him. The thorn is a surrogate, proxy, and a messenger of satan who is deployed into the life and sphere of Paul to help Paul deal with the temptation of self exaltation and pride. Revelation from an open heaven is entrusted to the humble. This was not a covert assignment by the messenger of satan; like Job, he was permitted by God to launch an assault on all the possessions of Job with surgical precision, his family and also his health.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

God performed outstanding miracles through the ministry of Paul. Yet God would refuse to remove the thorn from Paul. He prayed three times to the Lord.

The Lord comforted Paul with these words :

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

Paul writes to his beloved son Timothy informing him about the many brothers who abandoned him and he talks about Alexander The coppersmith who did him much harm. He instructed Timothy not to hold their transgressions against them; that the Lord will judge them (like David).

The purpose of the complaint of Paul is not to focus on his disappointments, but to show his spiritual son the glorious ability of the Lord Jesus to deliver him.

BUT THE LORD STOOD WITH ME AND STRENGTHENED ME

2 Timothy 4:17-18

17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

When we experience the disappointment of the failure of all our natural sources of help, it is the Lord who will stand with us and strengthen and deliver us. Amen.

Para aqueles que estão comprometidos com esta reforma atual, nosso desejo é cultivar um habitat espiritual para o povo de Deus, que de fato está se tornando uma espécie em extinção com relação ao surgimento de uma subcultura escura.

 

Nunca houve um momento mais urgente do que este, em que é imperativo para o povo de Deus retornar aos Seus caminhos. Os caminhos de Deus são estabelecidos por Sua Palavra, não pelos nossos cinco sentidos. Não nos apresentamos como aqueles que atingiram um estado de perfeição; está se tornando cada vez mais evidente que somos todos um “trabalho em andamento”. Olhamos para a natureza do Perfeito, Cristo, extraindo força e conforto Dele por meio de Sua Palavra e por meio do ministério do Espírito Santo.

 

Nossos planos e estratégias podem fazer muito sentido para nós, mas quando os apresentamos ao Senhor, eles podem não sobreviver ao escrutínio Divino.

 

Examinaremos alguns dos desafios enfrentados por Paulo e Davi esta manhã, líderes cujas vidas ministram para nós, ao enfrentarmos vários desafios em nossa caminhada com Deus, particularmente lidando com a traição. Apesar de todas as suas grandes façanhas, tanto Paulo quanto Davi experimentaram grande angústia por causa da traição.

 

DAVI

 

Davi, um homem segundo o coração de Deus, estava passando por um momento muito difícil para aceitar a traição. Embora Davi fosse um guerreiro poderoso que obteve grandes vitórias, ele sofreu grande aflição devido à traição. Ele podia derrotar grandes oponentes como Golias, mas seu coração estava vulnerável porque uma companhia de Davi ordena seus corações àqueles que vêm a eles em paz.

 

Davi, um homem segundo o coração de Deus, sabia a solução antes que os homens viessem a ele. Foi Davi quem declarou Deus como seu vingador.

 

“Se você me trair para os meus inimigos, visto que não há nada errado em minhas mãos, que o Deus de nossos pais olhe e traga o julgamento”

 

Aqui está o dilema e o conflito.

 

Nós também somos como Davi, onde sabemos que Deus livrará os justos de todas as suas aflições. No entanto, nossos corações estão tão oprimidos e somos facilmente distraídos pelas questões desta vida. É mais fácil falar do que fazer para demonstrar consistentemente nossa fé na Palavra e nas promessas de Deus. Temos que reconhecer as fragilidades em nossa natureza humana.

 

Se Davi soubesse que Deus julgaria seus traidores, então por que ele diria a Deus em seus salmos (essas são as palavras exatas de Davi)

 

Salmos 55:15 A morte os assalte; Desçam eles vivos ao inferno, pois a maldade está nas suas moradas e no meio deles.

 

Ele declara ainda:

 

Salmos 58:6 Quebra-lhes os dentes com a boca, ó Deus! Quebre as presas dos jovens leões, ó SENHOR!

 

Essas palavras são uma revelação clara de que o coração de Davi está dominado pela dor da traição e da rebelião. Não podemos negar nossa construção humana. No meio da batalha, é fácil esquecer que o Senhor é o Vingador dos justos. Temos que suportar o choro em nosso “período noturno” para experimentar a alegria e a misericórdia do novo dia.

 

A solução de Davi para seus problemas é encontrada no Salmo 61

 

Salmos 61:1 Ouve o meu clamor, ó Deus; atende à minha oração. 2 Do fim da terra eu clamarei a ti, quando o meu coração estiver oprimido; guia-me para a rocha que é mais alta do que eu. 3 Pois tu tens sido um abrigo para mim, e uma torre forte contra o inimigo. 4 Eu habitarei no teu tabernáculo para sempre; eu confiarei no esconderijo das tuas asas. Selá. 5 Pois tu, ó Deus, ouviste os meus votos; tu me deste a herança daqueles que temem o teu nome. 6 Tu prolongarás a vida do rei, e os seus anos como os de muitas gerações.

 

Quando nossos corações estão sobrecarregados, precisamos buscar ajuda de um reino superior.

 

Davi está clamando ao seu Deus, seu Vingador.

 

Davi depositou sua confiança no fato de que Deus observa todas as coisas, especialmente aquelas que dizem respeito ao Seu povo da aliança. Davi está pedindo a Deus que o leve a tocar um nível que está além do nível mais alto neste mundo natural. Como rei, Davi tem todos os recursos humanos, materiais e financeiros à sua disposição, mas nenhum de seus vastos recursos pode ajudá-lo a se curar de seu trauma emocional.

 

Quando estivermos exaustos de tentar todas as fontes naturais de alívio, é hora de alcançar a Rocha, Cristo Jesus, para trazer estabilidade à nossa situação.

 

Infelizmente, muitos crentes estão medindo o sucesso e o progresso usando a balança deste mundo; eles atribuem grande valor a suas carruagens, cavalos, suas moradias majestosas, sua prata e ouro e outros bens materiais e tangíveis.

 

Como rei, nenhuma dessas coisas trouxe descanso ou paz a Davi.

 

Esta pandemia fez com que alguns dos líderes das nações mais ricas deste mundo se ajoelhassem diante de um Deus Todo-Poderoso em oração.

 

Salmos 62:1 Verdadeiramente a minha alma espera em Deus; dele vem a minha salvação. 2 Somente ele é a minha rocha e a minha salvação; ele é a minha defesa, eu não serei grandemente abalado. 3 Por quanto tempo vós imaginareis dano contra um homem? Sereis mortos todos vós, sereis como um muro encurvado, e como uma cerca cambaleante. 4 Eles somente consultam para rebaixá-lo da sua excelência; deleitam-se em mentiras, eles abençoam com a sua boca, mas amaldiçoam interiormente. Selá. 5 Minha alma, espera somente em Deus, pois a minha esperança é vinda dele 6 Somente ele é a minha rocha e a minha salvação; ele é a minha defesa; eu não serei abalado.

 

Agora, vamos olhar para o apóstolo Paulo. Paulo sofreu muita perseguição em seu ministério. Paulo fala sobre um espinho na carne, um mensageiro de satanás, que foi permitido pelo Senhor para esbofeteá-lo e testá-lo. O espinho é um substituto, procurador e um mensageiro de satanás que é implantado na vida e esfera de Paulo para ajudá-lo a lidar com a tentação da exaltação própria e do orgulho. A revelação de um céu aberto é confiada aos humildes. Esta não foi uma missão secreta do mensageiro de Satanás; como Jó, ele foi autorizado por Deus a lançar um ataque a todos os bens de Jó com precisão cirúrgica, sua família e também sua saúde.

 

2 Coríntios 12: 7 E para que eu não fosse exaltado acima da medida pela abundância das revelações, um espinho na carne foi dado a mim, um mensageiro de Satanás para me esbofetear, para que eu não fosse exaltado acima da medida. 8 A respeito disso, roguei três vezes ao Senhor para que me afastasse. 9 E Ele me disse: “Minha graça te basta, porque Meu poder se aperfeiçoa na fraqueza”. Portanto, com muito prazer, antes me gloriarei em minhas enfermidades, para que o poder de Cristo repouse sobre mim. 10 Portanto, sinto prazer nas enfermidades, nas injúrias, nas necessidades, nas perseguições, nas angústias por amor de Cristo. Pois quando estou fraco, então sou forte.

 

Deus realizou milagres notáveis por meio do ministério de Paulo. Mesmo assim, Deus se recusaria a remover o espinho de Paulo. Ele orou três vezes ao Senhor.

 

O Senhor confortou Paulo com estas palavras:

 

“Minha graça te basta, porque Meu poder se aperfeiçoa na fraqueza”

 

Paulo escreve a seu amado filho Timóteo informando-o sobre os muitos irmãos que o abandonaram e ele fala sobre Alexandre, o latoeiro, que lhe fez muito mal. Ele instruiu Timóteo a não acusar suas transgressões; que o Senhor os julgará (como Davi).

 

O propósito da reclamação de Paulo não é enfocar em suas decepções, mas mostrar a seu filho espiritual a capacidade gloriosa do Senhor Jesus de libertá-lo.

 

MAS O SENHOR FICOU COMIGO E ME FORTALECEU

 

2 Timóteo 4: 17 Mas o Senhor ficou comigo e me fortaleceu, para que a mensagem fosse pregada por meu intermédio, e todos os gentios a ouvissem. Também fui libertado da boca do leão. 18 E o Senhor me livrará de toda obra má e me preservará para Seu reino celestial. A Ele seja a glória para todo o sempre. Amém!

 

Quando experimentamos o desapontamento pelo fracasso de todas as nossas fontes naturais de ajuda, é o Senhor que estará conosco e nos fortalecerá e libertará. Amém.

Psalms 95:7 For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: 8 “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness,

I pray that we would allow entrance to the Word of God; that we would allow the process of piercing that divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow, with the full understanding that there is no creature that is hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

This is how I grew spiritually over the past 21 years that I was connected to the apostolic; I sat under some of the most provocative, abrasive, intimidatory, piercing messages that a believer could listen to –

These messages ministered to my various challenges, they helped to shape and form my mentality; the Holy Spirit began to position my thoughts towards the Reformation of, firstly our personal lives, and then the ministry.

Similarly, if you are listening to me today or reading my notes, allow His Word to do its work. It may pierce your heart, yet God is working with us for our spiritual development.

Last week we dealt with the Counsel of Ahithophel and its massive collateral damage to the oneness vision that David had for the kingdom.

Abimelech and Sarah

Genesis 20:2 Now Abraham said of Sarah his wife, “She is my sister.” And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah. 3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, “Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.”

Abraham and Abimelech should be both grateful to God for His Divine intervention. In the words of God, if Abimelech touched Sarah, he would have been a “dead man” because Abraham and Sarah were central to the future plans of God in the creation of His family. The life of Abraham was loaded with prophetic promises and blessings for the whole earth.

However Abraham, considered a friend of God, was quite comfortable with the idea of sacrificing his wife and marriage for his personal safety and self preservation.

Genesis 20:10 Then Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you have in view, that you have done this thing?” 11 And Abraham said, “Because I thought, surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will kill me on account of my wife.

Keeping the aforegoing in mind, let us examine the three responses and consequences to the betrayal by the ten concubines. We will search the mind of David, the mind of God and the mind of Christ.

1. THE MIND OF DAVID

2 Samuel 20:3 Now David came to his house at Jerusalem. And the king took the ten women, his concubines whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in seclusion and supported them, but did not go in to them. So they were shut up to the day of their death, living in widowhood.

If you are struggling with this present lockdown, spare a thought for these ten concubines. David places the ten concubines in a permanent state of lockdown. David is comfortable with decreeing a judgement of total isolation for violating covenant. He would provide board and lodging with total loss of affection or any personal engagement.

Some of you may think that David may have overacted in his response. It may have been considered to be extremely harsh. After all, the Bible does declare that David has a heart after God. This decision would be extremely unpopular in this present time.

So let us go and check out the heart of God.

2. THE MIND OF GOD THE FATHER

God is speaking about His beloved people through His prophet Hosea. God is addressing spiritual adultery.

Hosea 2:2 “Bring charges against your mother, bring charges; For she is not My wife, nor am I her Husband! Let her put away her harlotries from her sight, And her adulteries from between her breasts; 3 Lest I strip her naked And expose her, as in the day she was born, And make her like a wilderness, And set her like a dry land, And slay her with thirst. 4 “I will not have mercy on her children, For they are the children of harlotry. 5 For their mother has played the harlot; She who conceived them has behaved shamefully. For she said, ‘I will go after my lovers, Who give me my bread and my water, My wool and my linen, My oil and my drink.’6 “Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, And wall her in, So that she cannot find her paths. 7 She will chase her lovers, But not overtake them; Yes, she will seek them, but not find them. Then she will say, I will go and return to my first husband, For then it was better for me than now.’ 8 For she did not know That I gave her grain, new wine, and oil, And multiplied her silver and gold— Which they prepared for Baal. 9 “Therefore I will return and take away My grain in its time And My new wine in its season, And will take back My wool and My linen, Given to cover her nakedness. 10 Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, And no one shall deliver her from My hand. 11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, Her feast days, Her New Moons, Her Sabbaths— All her appointed feasts. 12 “And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, Of which she has said, “These are my wages that my lovers have given me.’ So I will make them a forest, And the beasts of the field shall eat them. 13 I will punish her For the days of the Baals to which she burned incense. She decked herself with her earrings and jewelry, And went after her lovers; But Me she forgot,” says the LORD.

Shortly after these prophetic utterances, God sent His people who played the harlot into exile. God did exactly what David did. He hedged His people so that they could not find their lovers. They would ultimately return to their first love.

A great number of the people who went into exile, died in Babylon. There is a high price to pay for betraying covenant.

3. THE MIND OF CHRIST

We will examine two sinful women this morning. The first woman is the woman who was caught in the act of adultery and the people were ready to stone her to death in accordance with the law of Moses.

Jesus did not condone or support the sin of the woman.

All Jesus did was disqualify those who were ready to stone her to death.

His extraordinary Divine insight into the heart of the deceitful, hypocritical, stronghold of religion, released extraordinary grace to one who was condemned to die at the hands of a religious mob.

THE WOMAN WITH THE ALABASTER BOX

Luke 7:36 Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. 37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.

Here is her accuser :

Luke 7:39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”

• This woman Mary is standing proxy for every sinner out there

• She is standing proxy for every one of the ten concubines

• She is standing proxy for Absalom

• Yes, she is even standing proxy for David

It is amazing to note the increasing number of believers who expect forgiveness without repentance. They carry a strong spirit of entitlement to forgiveness without repentance. No individual is above the Word of the Lord.

Mary demonstrated the spirit of repentance and reverence for the One who is able to forgive our sins. The Rock that is Higher than ourselves.

She did not quote scriptures to Jesus.

In fact there is no record of her saying anything.

She simply expressed her sacrificial worship of the One who would silence the voice of the Pharisees who hosted the gathering. She exposed the heart of the Pharisees who were intent on “testing” Jesus, rather than receiving Him in the house as the One sent by God, honoring Him as Mary did with tears that came from the depths of her soul; breaking her alabaster box and anointing the feet of the Lord. Jesus teaches in His sermon on the mount :

Matthew 5:20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Foi assim que cresci espiritualmente nos últimos 21 anos em que estive conectado ao apostolado;  Sentei-me sob algumas das mensagens mais provocativas, abrasivas, intimidatórias e penetrantes que um crente poderia ouvir.

 

Essas mensagens ministraram aos meus vários desafios, ajudaram a moldar e formar minha mentalidade;  o Espírito Santo começou a posicionar meus pensamentos em direção à Reforma, primeiro de nossas vidas pessoais e depois do ministério.

 

Da mesma forma, se você está me ouvindo hoje ou lendo minhas anotações, permita que Sua Palavra faça seu trabalho.  Pode perfurar seu coração, mas Deus está trabalhando conosco para o nosso desenvolvimento espiritual.

 

Na semana passada, lidamos com o Conselho de Aitofel e seu enorme dano colateral à visão de unidade que Davi tinha para o reino.

 

Abimeleque e Sara

 

Gênesis 20:2-3

2 Ora, Abraão disse de Sara, sua esposa: “Ela é minha irmã”.  E Abimeleque, rei de Gerar, mandou trazer a Sara.  3 Mas Deus veio a Abimeleque em sonho, durante a noite, e disse-lhe: “Certamente tu és um homem morto por causa da mulher que tomaste, porque ela é mulher de um homem”.

 

Abraão e Abimeleque deveriam ser gratos a Deus por Sua intervenção divina.  Nas palavras de Deus, se Abimeleque tocasse Sara, ele teria sido um “homem morto” porque Abraão e Sara eram fundamentais para os planos futuros de Deus na criação de Sua família.  A vida de Abraão foi carregada de promessas proféticas e bênçãos para toda a Terra.

 

No entanto, Abraão, considerado um amigo de Deus, ficou bastante confortável com a ideia de sacrificar sua esposa e casamento para sua segurança pessoal e autopreservação.

 

Gênesis 20:10-11

10 Então Abimeleque disse a Abraão: “O que você tinha em vista para fazer isso?”  11 E Abraão disse: “Porque eu pensei, certamente o temor de Deus não está neste lugar;  e eles vão me matar por causa de minha esposa.

 

Tendo em mente o que precede, examinemos as três reações e consequências à traição das dez concubinas.  Vamos examinar a mente de Davi, a mente de Deus e a mente de Cristo.

 

1. A MENTE DE DAVI

 

2 Samuel 20:3

3 Davi voltou para sua casa em Jerusalém.  E o rei tomou as dez mulheres, suas concubinas, que ele tinha deixado para cuidar da casa, e as colocou em reclusão e as amparou, mas não entrou com elas.  Assim, eles foram fechados até o dia de sua morte, vivendo em viuvez.

 

Se você está lutando com esse bloqueio atual, pense duas vezes nessas dez concubinas.  Davi coloca as dez concubinas em um estado permanente de bloqueio.  Davi se sente confortável em decretar um julgamento de isolamento total por violar o pacto.  Ele forneceria alimentação e alojamento com perda total de afeto ou qualquer compromisso pessoal.

 

Alguns de vocês podem pensar que Davi pode ter exagerado em sua resposta.  Pode ter sido considerado extremamente severo.  Afinal, a Bíblia declara que Davi tem um coração segundo Deus.  Esta decisão seria extremamente impopular nos dias de hoje.

 

Portanto, vamos verificar o coração de Deus.

 

2. A MENTE DE DEUS O PAI

 

Deus está falando sobre Seu povo amado por meio de Seu profeta Oséias.  Deus está se referindo ao adultério espiritual.

 

Oséias 2:2-13

2 “Apresente acusações contra sua mãe, apresente acusações;  Pois ela não é minha esposa, nem eu sou seu marido!  Afaste de sua vista as prostituições, e os adultérios entre os seios;  3 para que eu não a deixe nua e a exponha, como no dia em que nasceu, e a faça como um deserto, e a torne como uma terra seca, e a mate com sede.  4 “Não terei misericórdia de seus filhos, pois são filhos da prostituição.  5 Pois sua mãe se prostituiu;  Aquela que os concebeu se comportou de maneira vergonhosa.  Pois ela disse: ‘Irei atrás dos meus amantes, que me dão o meu pão e a minha água, a minha lã e a minha linho, o meu óleo e a minha bebida.’ 6 “Portanto, eis que te fecharei com espinhos, E  bloqueie-a, Para que ela não possa encontrar seus caminhos.  7 Ela perseguirá seus amantes, mas não os alcançará;  Sim, ela os procurará, mas não os encontrará.  Então ela dirá: Eu irei e voltarei para meu primeiro marido, porque então era melhor para mim do que agora. ‘8 Porque ela não sabia que eu lhe dei grão, vinho novo e azeite, e multipliquei sua prata e ouro  – Que prepararam para Baal.  9 “Portanto, voltarei e levarei o meu grão a seu tempo, e o meu vinho novo a seu tempo, e levarei de volta a minha lã e o meu linho, dados para cobrir a sua nudez.  10 Agora descobrirei a sua perversidade aos olhos de seus amantes, e ninguém a livrará da minha mão.  11 Também farei cessar toda a sua alegria, Seus dias de festa, Suas luas novas, seus sábados – Todas as suas festas designadas.  12 “E eu destruirei suas vinhas e suas figueiras, das quais ela disse:“ Este é o meu salário que meus amantes me deram. ‘Então eu farei para eles uma floresta, E os animais do campo os comerão.  13 Eu a castigarei pelos dias dos Baalins, aos quais ela queimava incenso.  Ela se adornou com seus brincos e joias, E foi atrás de seus amantes;  Mas ela se esqueceu de mim ”, diz o SENHOR.

 

Pouco depois dessas declarações proféticas, Deus enviou Seu povo que se prostituía para o exílio.  Deus fez exatamente o que Davi fez.  Ele cercou Seu povo para que eles não pudessem encontrar seus amantes.  Eles acabariam por retornar ao seu primeiro amor.

 

Um grande número de pessoas que foram para o exílio morreu na Babilônia.  Há um alto preço a pagar por trair um pacto.

 

3. A MENTE DE CRISTO 

 

Vamos examinar duas mulheres pecaminosas esta manhã. A primeira mulher é a mulher que foi pega no ato de adultério e as pessoas estavam prontas para a endurecer até a morte de acordo com a lei de Moisés. Jesus não tolera nem apoiou o pecado da mulher. Tudo o que Jesus fez foi desqualificou aqueles que estavam prontos para a endurecer até a morte. Sua extraordinária percepção divina sobre o coração da religião enganosa, hipócrita e fortaleza, libertou graça extraordinária para alguém que estava condenado a morrer nas mãos de uma multidão religiosa.

 

A MULHER COM O FRASCO DE ALABASTRO

 

Lucas 7:36-38

36 Então um dos fariseus pediu-lhe para comer com ele. E ele foi para a casa do fariseu e sentou-se para comer. 37 E eis que uma mulher na cidade que era pecadora, quando sabia que Jesus sentou à mesa na casa do fariseu, trouxe um frasco de óleo de óleo perfumado, 38 e ficou a pé atrás dele, chorando; e ela começou a lavar os pés com as lágrimas e as enxugou com o cabelo da cabeça; E ela beijou os pés e ungiu-os com o óleo perfumado.

É incrível notar o número crescente de Eles carregam um forte espírito de direito ao perdão sem arrependimento. Nenhum indivíduo está acima da palavra do Senhor. 

 

Maria demonstrou o espírito de arrependimento e reverência por aquele que é capaz de perdoar nossos pecados. A rocha que é maior do que nós mesmos. 

 

Ela não citou as Escrituras para Jesus. 

 

Na verdade, não há registro dela dizendo nada. 

 

Ela simplesmente expressou sua adoração sacrificial daquele que silenciaria a voz dos fariseus que hospedou a reunião. Ela expôs o coração dos fariseus que estavam intentados em “testar” Jesus, em vez de recebê-lo na casa como um enviado por Deus, honrá-lo quando Maria fez com lágrimas que vieram das profundezas de sua alma; quebrando sua caixa de alabastro e ungando os pés do Senhor. Jesus ensina em seu sermão no Monte: 

 

Mateus 5:20

20 Porque eu digo a você, a menos que a sua justiça exceda a justiça dos escribas e fariseus, você não entrará de forma alguma o reino dos céus.

This pandemic is not only affecting the health and economy of people, but also their faith and covenant with the holy scriptures.

There is a battle between those who are holding fast to the demand and the promises of the scriptures and those who have succumbed to counsel that is strategically formulated in the human intellect to achieve desired outcomes.

I have entitled my short exhortation “ The Counsel of Ahithophel”

This morning we will study the counsel of Atithophel given to Absalom after the revolt that caused David to flee from Jerusalem

We will take a closer look at the man Atithophel, a former strategist, advisor and counselor to David.

Ahithophel

He was the highly respected counselor to David. He served David with great distinction and he was renowned for his wisdom.

2 Samuel 16:23 Now the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if one had inquired at the oracle of God. So was all the advice of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

As outstanding as the wisdom of Atithophel was, this wisdom flowed from a natural, uniquely endowed fountain. Although he was a brilliant military strategist, all his plans were formulated in his human intellect. It is easy for an observer to believe that he he heard the voice of God; the scriptures say that his utterances were “as if one had inquired at the oracle of God”

2 Samuel 15:12 Then Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counselor, from his city—from Giloh—while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy grew strong, for the people with Absalom continually increased in number.

The solicitation of Ahithophel was a significant victory for Absalom because he believed his father’s strength was in a gift, skill or talent. David’s strength is in the Name of the Lord. Although many believers know this, few believe it.

2 Samuel 15:31 Then someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O Lord, I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!”

When David received news of the defection of Ahithophel, the Bible says “David said”

It does not say that David called an assembly of his leaders to discuss the this new development; nor did David separate himself to pray.

The scriptures say “David said” to the Lord as part of that conversation. These are the little comments that ought to get our attention

In the course of a conversation, David, a man after God’s own heart, was able to influence God to cause the people to reject the counsel of Ahithophel; to turn the wisdom of Ahithophel’s counsel to foolishness.

It almost defies belief that the Lord will hear the request of David and respond immediately.

2 Samuel 17:23 Now when Ahithophel saw that his advice was not followed, he saddled a donkey, and arose and went home to his house, to his city. Then he put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died; and he was buried in his father’s tomb.

Immediately after David requested the help of the Lord, he would encounter Hushai who would prove to be a valuable resource to David. He became David’s eyes and ears in the sphere of Absalom and Ahithophel.

Let us carefully examine the counsel of Ahithophel….

2 Samuel 16:20 Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, “Give advice as to what we should do.” 21 And Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Go in to your father’s concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; and all Israel will hear that you are abhorred by your father. Then the hands of all who are with you will be strong.” 22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the top of the house, and Absalom went in to his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.

The objective of the counsel of Ahithophel was to discredit and dishonor David in the sight of all the people. Any counsel or strategy that violates the Word of God or promotes lawlessness, chaos and anarchy must be vociferously rejected as evil and wicked and is hostile to the emergence of a Godly culture.

Ahithophel was very comfortable in giving counsel that violated the Word of God. He must have known the Law concerning this evil counsel.

Leviticus 20:11 The man who lies with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.

Individuals like Atithophel focus on achieving the objective of a wicked Absalom administration , irrespective of whether it agrees with the Word or not. This administration is single minded and focused on the dismantling and destroying the rule and governance of David.

He knew that this act of wickedness will ensure the death blow to the relationship between a father and his son. This act would erode the dignity and honor of David’s office and present him as a weak leader who is unable to rule over his ten concubines. The objective of the counsel of Ahithophel is to irreparably alienate David from his ten concubines.

Their relationship would be irreconcilable

The damage caused is not only in the physical act of defiling his father’s bed; while Absalom is with the concubines he is spreading a false narrative concerning his father, doing what Absalom does best; turning the hearts of the concubines from the heart of their beloved David.

Whilst the believers of the early church were going from house to house breaking bread, praising God and enjoying communal fellowship and having favor with all the people, Absalom was going from house to house, concubine to concubine, desecrating the honor, integrity and credibility of David.

If a lie is spoken and transmitted by a sufficient number of surrogates and minions, it will eventually be accepted as the truth. A psychological term for this is “gaslighting”

Using denial, misdirection, contradiction, and misinformation, gaslighting involves attempts to destabilize the victim and delegitimize the victim’s beliefs. Instances can range from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents occurred, to belittling the victim’s emotions and feelings, to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim.

Imagine this, with all the issues that David had to contend with, with all his challenges, his failures, God remained faithful to His Word, concerning the emergence of Christ from this particular lineage.

God could have changed his mind at any time.

Yet He shows us His Faithfulness to His Word spoken through His prophet Isaiah.

Isaiah 11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,

And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

We need to be strong and expectant; as soon as we confront the challenges, we have no doubt that we will see the Christ emerge from our midst.

O objetivo do conselho de Aitofel era desacreditar e desonrar Davi aos olhos de todo o povo. Qualquer conselho ou estratégia que viole a Palavra de Deus ou promova a ilegalidade, o caos e a anarquia deve ser veementemente rejeitado como mau e perverso e é hostil ao surgimento de uma cultura piedosa.

 

Aitofel sentia-se muito confortável em dar conselhos que violavam a Palavra de Deus. Ele deve ter conhecido a Lei a respeito desse mau conselho

Levítico 20

11 E o homem que se deitar com a mulher de seu pai descobriu a nudez de seu pai; ambos, certamente, serão postos à morte; o seu sangue será sobre eles.

 

Indivíduos como Aitofel se concentram em alcançar o objetivo de uma administração perversa de Absalão, independentemente de concordar ou não com a Palavra. Esta administração está focada em desmantelar e destruir o governo e governo de Davi.

Isaías 11

1 E sairá um ramo do tronco de Jessé, e um Renovo se brotará das raízes dele.

 

Precisamos ser fortes e expectantes; assim que enfrentarmos os desafios, não temos dúvidas de que veremos o Cristo emergir de nosso meio.

My comments are largely directed to the local church as well as those ministries and friends who relate to us.

Those outside my sphere often may misinterpret some of my comments. Last week I said that God did not speak through third parties concerning Job. This must be understood within the context of my message concerning Job. God did not speak to Job through his three friends. These are the exact words of God :

Job 42:7 And so it was, after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.

We all know that God can speak through any human vessel that He chooses; God would also express Himself through the trusted and faithful donkey of Balaam. God had to empower and enable this humble animal to remind its master of its life of faithfulness. God can use any resource.

Numbers 22:28 Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?” 29 And Balaam said to the donkey, “Because you have abused me. I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would kill you!” 30 So the donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your donkey on which you have ridden, ever since I became yours, to this day? Was I ever disposed to do this to you?” And he said, “No.” 31 Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way with His drawn sword in His hand; and he bowed his head and fell flat on his face.

But this truth remains, God did not speak through Job’s three friends.

In this lesson, we will talk about the responsibility of believers to cause spiritual truths and principles (Divine intelligence) to be manifested on the earth.

We do not experience dominion when we recite the truths; we experience dominion when we do them; men and women in our sphere, saved or unsaved, become eyewitnesses to the power of the Living Word; they witness the amazing intelligence and wisdom of our God manifested through the sons of God who transform into a present day sign and wonder, revealing the Glory of our God.

We must be careful that we do not “freeze” in a spiritual mode, and are unable to reboot in order to descend to the earth to make that truth visible.

Let us use these simple scriptures as an example.

John 6:28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

apostéllō; to send, in that apostéllō is to send forth on a certain mission such as to preach (Mark 3:14; Luke 9:2); speak (Luke 1:19); bless (Acts 3:26); rule, redeem, propitiate (Acts 7:35; 1 John 4:10); save (1 John 4:14). The expression that Jesus was sent by God (John 3:34) denotes the mission which He had to fulfill and the authority which backed Him. The importance of this mission is denoted by the fact that God sent His own Son. In the NT, to send forth from one place to another, to send upon some business or employment

Jesus knows firsthand that the greatest challenge facing those who are sent by God is gaining acceptance as One coming from God. Unbelief is the greatest barrier to entry to the One who is sent by the Father. Man measures everything by his worldly and traditional standards. The world has its own expectation of what a man of God should be like. The emissaries that the Lord would send would defy every human and traditional expectation of society.

Consider Elijah for a moment.

Consider the manner in which he would speak to Elisha, the One who has been handpicked and chosen by God to be a successor to Elijah. Elijah speaks to Elisha with great irreverence.

1 Kings 19:20 And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, “Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.” And he said to him, “Go back again, for what have I done to you?”

It is hard work to believe in the One sent by God.

Examine Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman. Jesus had asked her for a drink. Instead of complying to a simple request, she engaged Jesus concerning the existing discrimination between Samaritans and Jews. She was unable to discern the gift of God, the One sent by God to break down this middle wall of divisiveness.

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

The apostolic company in Jerusalem also “sent” out apostles to Antioch.

Acts 15:22 Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas who was also named Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren. 23 They wrote this, letter by them: The apostles, the elders, and the brethren, To the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings. 24 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, “You must be circumcised and keep the law”—to whom we gave no such commandment— 25 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

When a congregation despises the One sent by God to them, that congregation despises the choices of God.

It is not our prerogative to question who God sends. It is important that we do not despise the One sent by God if we are to receive the grace that he carries.

This is a safety warning by God to His people. We must not take this lightly.

Exodus 23:20 “Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 21 Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. 22 But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

Hebrew Word for “angel”

mal’āḵ: A masculine noun meaning a messenger, an angel. The term often denotes one sent on business or diplomacy by another (human) personage. Jacob sent messengers on ahead to his brother Esau in the hope of finding favor in his eyes

There is an angel, a messenger, the One sent by God to keep us in the way.

This Divine protection is afforded to all sent ones and messengers, not only a select few. The “malak” carries the Name and seal of the Father.

As we discussed recently the household of Chloe is not the standard that our family is building. This chaotic environment must not be allowed to become the new normal. It is not the good intentions of Apollos and Cephas that is objectionable, but it is the outcome of their activities that produced strife and contention.

David understood this clearly …. he understood Saul to be a legitimate leader anointed as the king. The integrity of David did not allow him to touch Saul or the anointing, or to kill him when he had a great opportunity.

David, a man after God’s own heart, recognized the One sent by God

The Lord addressed Moses, Miriam and Aaron

Numbers 12:6 Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. 7 Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. 8 I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?”

The Lord is a strong defender of those whom He sends. Much of our frustration is a direct result of our rejection of the One sent by the Lord into our lives.

Meus comentários são amplamente aplicáveis à igreja local, bem como aos ministérios e amigos que se relacionam conosco.

 

Aqueles fora da minha esfera podem interpretar mal alguns dos meus comentários. Na semana passada eu disse que Deus não falou por meio de terceiros sobre Jó. Isso deve ser entendido dentro do contexto de minha mensagem a respeito de Jó. Deus não falou com Jó por meio de seus três amigos. Estas são as palavras exatas de Deus:

 

Jó 42

7 E assim foi que, depois do SENHOR ter falado estas palavras a Jó, o SENHOR disse a Elifaz, o temanita: A minha ira se acendeu contra ti, e contra os teus dois amigos, porque não falastes de mim aquilo que é certo, como o meu servo Jó.

 

Todos nós sabemos que Deus pode falar por meio de qualquer vaso humano que Ele escolher; Deus também se expressaria por meio da jumenta confiável e fiel de Balaão. Deus teve que capacitar e habilitar este animal humilde para lembrar seu mestre de sua vida de fidelidade. Deus pode usar qualquer recurso.

 

Números 22

31 E o SENHOR abriu a boca da jumenta, e ela disse a Balaão: O que eu te fiz, que me feriste estas três vezes? 29 E Balaão disse à jumenta: Porque zombaste de mim; quisera eu ter uma espada na mão, porque agora te mataria. 30 E a jumenta disse a Balaão: Não sou a tua jumenta, em que cavalgaste desde o tempo em que me tornei tua até hoje? Alguma vez fiz isso contigo? E ele disse: Não. 31 Então, o SENHOR abriu os olhos de Balaão, e ele viu o anjo do SENHOR em pé no caminho, com a sua espada desembainhada na mão; e ele inclinou a cabeça e caiu sobre a sua face.

 

Mas esta verdade permanece, Deus não falou por meio dos três amigos de Jó.

 

Nesta lição, falaremos sobre a responsabilidade dos crentes em fazer com que verdades e princípios espirituais (inteligência divina) sejam manifestados na terra.

 

Não experimentamos domínio quando recitamos as verdades; experimentamos domínio quando os fazemos; homens e mulheres em nossa esfera, salvos ou não, tornam-se testemunhas oculares do poder da Palavra Viva; testemunham a espantosa inteligência e sabedoria do nosso Deus manifestada através dos filhos de Deus que se transformam em sinal e maravilha dos dias atuais, revelando a Glória do nosso Deus.

 

Devemos ter cuidado para não “congelar” em um modo espiritual e não sermos capazes de reiniciar para descer à terra e tornar essa verdade visível.

 

Vamos usar essas escrituras simples como exemplo.

 

João 6

28 Então, lhe disseram: O que devemos fazer, para realizar as obras de Deus? 29 Jesus respondeu e disse-lhes: Esta é a obra de Deus: que creiais naquele que ele enviou.

érgon; trabalhar. Trabalho, desempenho, resultado ou objeto de emprego, fabricação ou trabalho. Trabalho, negócios, emprego, algo a ser feito; da obra que Jesus foi enviado para cumprir na terra érga, as obras. A obra do Pai que Ele deu Cristo para fazer.

apostéllō; enviar, em que apostéllō é enviar em uma determinada missão, como pregar (Marcos 3:14; Lucas 9: 2); falar (Lucas 1:19); abençoar (Atos 3:26); governar, redimir, propiciar (Atos 7:35; 1 João 4:10); salvar (1 João 4:14). A expressão de que Jesus foi enviado por Deus (João 3:34) denota a missão que Ele tinha que cumprir e a autoridade que O apoiou. A importância desta missão é denotada pelo fato de que Deus enviou Seu próprio Filho. Enviar de um lugar para outro, para enviar algum negócio ou emprego.

Jesus sabe em primeira mão que o maior desafio enfrentado por aqueles que são enviados por Deus é ser aceito como Alguém que vem de Deus. A descrença é a maior barreira para entrar Aquele que é enviado pelo pai. O homem mede tudo por seus padrões mundanos e tradicionais. O mundo tem sua própria expectativa de como um homem de Deus deveria ser. Os emissários que o Senhor enviaria desafiariam todas as expectativas humanas e tradicionais da sociedade.

 

Considere Elias por um momento.

 

Considere a maneira como ele falaria com Eliseu, Aquele que foi escolhido a dedo e escolhido por Deus para ser o sucessor de Elias. Elias fala com Eliseu com grande irreverência.

 

1 Reis 19

20 E ele deixou os bois, e correu atrás de Elias, e disse: Rogo-te que me deixes beijar o meu pai e a minha mãe, e depois eu te seguirei. E disse-lhe: Volta novamente; porquanto o que tenho feito a ti?

 

E Elias disse a Eliseu: “Volta novamente; porquanto o que tenho feito a ti?”

 

É difícil acreditar naquele enviado de Deus.

 

Examine a conversa de Jesus com a mulher samaritana. Jesus pediu-lhe uma bebida. Em vez de atender a um simples pedido, ela comentou com Jesus sobre a discriminação existente entre samaritanos e judeus. Ela foi incapaz de discernir o dom de Deus, Aquele enviado por Deus para quebrar a parede do meio da divisão.

 

João 4

10 Jesus respondeu e disse-lhe: Se tu conheceras o dom de Deus, e quem é o que te diz: Dá-me de beber, tu lhe pedirias, e ele te daria água viva.

 

A companhia apostólica em Jerusalém também “enviou” apóstolos a Antioquia.

 

Atos 15

26 Então, agradou aos apóstolos e aos anciãos, com toda a igreja, enviar homens escolhidos de seu próprio grupo a Antioquia com Paulo e Barnabé, a saber: Judas, chamado Barsabás, e Silas, principais homens entre os irmãos;  23 e escreveram cartas, por intermédio deles, sobre este assunto: Os apóstolos, e os anciãos, e os irmãos, enviam saudação aos irmãos dentre os gentios que estão em Antioquia, Síria, e Cilícia; 24 portanto, ouvimos que alguns que saíram dentre nós vos perturbaram com palavras, e transtornaram as vossas almas, dizendo que deveis circuncidar-vos e guardar a lei, aos quais nós não damos tal mandamento; 25 pareceu-nos bem, reunidos em concordância, enviar-lhes homens escolhidos com os nossos amados Barnabé e Paulo, 26 homens que arriscaram suas vidas pelo nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.

 

Quando uma congregação despreza Aquele que foi enviado por Deus a ela, essa congregação despreza o próprio Deus. Não é nossa prerrogativa questionar quem Deus envia. É importante que não desprezemos Aquele que foi enviado por Deus, se quisermos receber a graça que está nele.

 

Profetas são enviados por Deus para tornar conhecidos Seus pensamentos a respeito de Seu povo amado.

 

Isaías 6

8 Também eu ouvi a voz do Senhor, dizendo: Quem irei eu enviar, e quem irá por nós? Então disse eu: Aqui estou eu, envia-me.

 

Este é um aviso de segurança de Deus para Seu povo. Não devemos levar isso levianamente.

 

Êxodo 23

20 Eis que envio um Anjo adiante de ti, para que te guarde no caminho e te conduza ao lugar que te tenho preparado. 21 Guarda-te diante dele, e obedece à sua voz; não o provoques, pois ele não perdoará as vossas transgressões, porque o meu nome está nele. 22 Mas se realmente obedeceres à sua voz, e fizeres tudo que eu disser, então serei um inimigo dos teus inimigos, e um adversário dos teus adversários.

Esta proteção Divina é concedida a todos os enviados e mensageiros, não apenas a alguns selecionados. O “malak” carrega o nome e o selo do pai.

 

Como discutimos recentemente, a casa de Cloe não é o padrão que nossa família está construindo. Este ambiente caótico não deve se tornar o novo normal. Não são as boas intenções de Apolo e Cefas que são questionáveis, mas é o resultado de suas atividades que produziu conflito e contendas.

 

Davi entendeu isso claramente…. ele entendeu que Saul era um líder legítimo ungido como rei. A integridade de Davi não permitiu que ele tocasse em Saul ou na unção, ou o matasse quando tivesse uma grande oportunidade.

Davi, um homem segundo o coração de Deus, reconheceu Aquele enviado por Deus

 

O Senhor se dirigiu a Moisés, Miriã e Aarão

 

Números 12

6 E ele disse: Ouvi agora as minhas palavras; se houver entre vós um profeta, eu, o SENHOR, me darei a conhecer a ele em uma visão, e falarei com ele em um sonho. 7 Não é assim com o meu servo Moisés, que é fiel em toda a minha casa. 8 Com ele falo boca a boca, e de maneira clara, e não por palavras obscuras; e ele vê a semelhança do SENHOR; então, por que não tivestes medo de falar contra o meu servo Moisés?

 

O Senhor é um forte defensor daqueles que Ele envia. Grande parte de nossa frustração é resultado direto de nossa rejeição daquele enviado pelo Senhor a nossas vidas.

As sons of God, who are made in His own image, we are called to represent God.

Genesis 1:27

27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

The account of Job brings into sharp focus our real human limitations concerning our ability to represent God

We will not be able to represent His omnipotence, His omniscience, His omnipresence.

God rebuked Job for darkening the counsel of God and bringing the immaculate deity of God into disrepute. God had to address Job concerning His omnipotence from the whirlwind.

Man has constructed some of the great wonders of the world ……

The Great Wall of China, Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt, Taj Mahal in India

Christ The Redeemer Statue in Brazil, the Colosseum in Italy and Machu Pichu in Peru are some of the wonders of the creative ability of human beings.

Jesus would remind us that not even Solomon’s wisdom and natural intelligence can compare with the creative ability of God. Nature reveals His Majesty, His Splendor, His great craftsmanship, His excellence.

Matthew 6:28-29

“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Job was regarded as blameless and upright, who feared God and shunned evil; and this was God’s evaluation of Job. God confidently told satan that there was no one like Job in the earth. Yet we find that there were discrepancies in his representation of God when his faith was tested; it is the grace of God that enables us to be faithful, it is the Lord’s doing. We ought not to boast about our faithfulness.

There are real limitations to our ability to represent God. God clearly sets apart His omnipotence to Job.

Job 38:1-11

1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:

2 “Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

3 Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.

4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?

Tell Me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? 8 “Or who shut in the sea with doors, When it burst forth and issued from the womb; 9 When I made the clouds its garment, And thick darkness its swaddling band; 10 When I fixed My limit for it, And set bars and doors; 11 When I said, ‘This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!’

God is reminding Job about the chronicles of creation

Genesis 1:1

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

What God is asking Job is this : Are you able to do all this?

God is informing the high mindedness of Job – I did all this.

Where were you, Job, when I did all this?

God clearly sets Himself apart from Man – and installs Himself as God of all creation.

This position also applies to sons of men in their ability to represent their biological and spiritual fathers. There would always exist a discrepancy in their representation. This reveals the reality that our Maker has made us fearfully and wonderfully and this uniqueness contributes to the diversity of graces in our gathering. When we understand this, we will lose our desire to clone or replicate ourselves in others. Our legacy should focus on building a Word culture and a passion to represent Christ to the best of our ability, by the grace of Jesus Christ, our Lord. As long as we reside in a human frame, there will always be discrepancies. We thank God for Christ Jesus, our Mediator, whose love covers all our discrepancies.

1 Timothy 2:5-6

5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,

Job also discovered that although he perceived himself to be righteous, he could not exactly represent the righteousness of God.

When Job’s righteousness came under fire, the filthy rags are exposed.

THE WORDS OF JOB DO NOT REFLECT THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

Job 3:11

11 “Why did I not die at birth? Why did I not perish when I came from the womb?

Job 3:23-26

23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden,

And whom God has hedged in?

24 For my sighing comes before I eat,

And my groanings pour out like water.

25 For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me,

And what I dreaded has happened to me.

26 I am not at ease, nor am I quiet;

I have no rest, for trouble comes.”

Although Job was blameless and upright, feared God and shunned evil, his words despised his birth and it reflects great regret.

Our righteousness comes from knowing Christ. Christ is our righteousness and our peace. This is the gift of God’s righteousness that is imputed to believers.

Job’s righteousness represented his personal code of righteousness or self righteousness. It will disintegrate when it is exposed to extreme heat and testing

GOD EVALUATES THE VARIOUS WORDS UTTERED BY JOB’S THREE FRIENDS AND ALSO THE WORDS OF JOB HIMSELF

Job 42:7

7 And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.

GOD SEPARATES TRUTH FROM FALSEHOOD

The Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.

False representation of the counsel of God to Job in his place of distress was made by his three friends, and the counsel was declared false by God.

Both Eliphaz and Bildad, made this false assumption, according to God.

They misrepresented the heart and mind of God in their counsel to Job. We need to be constantly conscious of our words to those in distress in times of various afflictions. The heavens are noting our words

Job 4:7-9

7 “Remember now, who ever perished being innocent?

Or where were the upright ever cut off?

8 Even as I have seen, Those who plow iniquity And sow trouble reap the same.

9 By the blast of God they perish,

And by the breath of His anger they are consumed.

This demonstrates a misrepresentation of the mind of God.

Zophar asks Job to repent. This is a common, typical response from most believers. If we are going through great affliction then we must have sinned. Although these may be true in many cases, it is not always true as we see in the case of Job. Job was God’s preferred candidate in God’s challenge to satan.

Job 11:13-15

13 “If you would prepare your heart, and stretch out your hands toward Him;

14 If iniquity were in your hand, and you put it far away, and would not let wickedness dwell in your tents;

15 Then surely you could lift up your face without spot; Yes, you could be steadfast, and not fear;

Your heart is not right. How many times have we received this typically “brilliant” counsel by well intentioned friends or members of our family?

God reveals that Job, in his final statements, after His eyes have been open to see Him, has declared that which was right. We must pursue this revelation, because it has been determined by God to be correct.

Job 42:1-6

1 Then Job answered the Lord and said:

2 “I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.

3 You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’

Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand,

Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

4 Listen, please, and let me speak;

You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’

5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You.

6 Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”

What a great joy it is for our eyes to behold the Lord and hear Him speak directly to you.

Those who spoke into the life of Job failed to represent the mind of God concerning his situation in a time of distress. Although Job was upright, blameless, feared God, shunned evil, he did all this without an encounter with Him; but now his entire perspective has changed. Job declared that he was unaware of the wonderful things that God had prepared for those who love Him and keep His commands.

Job declares that he uttered that which he did not know.

At the end of the account of Job we are able to get clarity on true representation.

It would be profitable to all believers to factor this statement of truth into our relationship with an Omnipotent God.

Job 42:2

“I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.

When our eyes have seen the King and heard Him – it is time to repent and abhor ourselves; until that moment, the culture of misrepresentation will continue.

LIMITAÇÕES NA REPRESENTAÇÃO

Como filhos de Deus, que são criados à Sua própria imagem, somos chamados a representar Deus.

 

Gênesis 1:27

Cristo Redentor no Brasil, Coliseu na Itália e Machu Pichu no Peru são algumas das maravilhas da capacidade criativa dos seres humanos.

 

Jesus nos lembraria que nem mesmo a sabedoria e a inteligência natural de Salomão se comparam à capacidade criativa de Deus.  A natureza revela Sua Majestade, Seu Esplendor, Sua grande habilidade, Sua Excelência.

 

Mateus 6: 28-29

 

“Por que vocês se preocupam com roupas? Vejam como crescem os lírios do campo. Eles não trabalham nem tecem. Contudo, eu lhes digo que nem Salomão, em todo o seu esplendor, vestiu-se como um deles.

Jó era considerado inocente e reto, que temia a Deus e evitava o mal;  e essa foi a avaliação de Deus sobre Jó.  Deus disse a Satanás com confiança que não havia ninguém como Jó na terra.  No entanto, descobrimos que havia discrepâncias em sua representação de Deus quando sua fé foi testada;  é a graça de Deus que nos permite ser fiéis, é o que o Senhor faz.  Não devemos nos gabar de nossa fidelidade.

 

Existem limitações reais à nossa capacidade de representar Deus.  Deus claramente separa Sua onipotência para Jó.

 

Jó 38: 1-11

Então o Senhor respondeu a Jó do meio da tempestade. Disse ele:

“Quem é esse que obscurece o meu conselho com palavras sem conhecimento?

Prepare-se como simples homem; vou fazer-lhe perguntas, e você me  responderá. “Onde você estava quando lancei os alicerces da terra? Responda-me, se é que você sabe tanto. Quem marcou os limites das suas dimensões? Vai ver que você sabe! E quem estendeu sobre ela a linha de medir? E as suas bases, sobre o que foram postas? E quem colocou sua pedra de esquina, enquanto as estrelas matutinas juntas cantavam e todos os anjos se regozijavam? “Quem represou o mar pondo-lhe portas, quando ele irrompeu do ventre materno, quando o vesti de nuvens e em densas trevas o envolvi,

quando fixei os seus limites e lhe coloquei portas e barreiras, quando eu lhe disse: Até aqui você pode vir, além deste ponto não, aqui faço parar suas ondas orgulhosas?

 

Deus está lembrando Jó sobre as crônicas da criação

 

Gênesis 1:1-3

No princípio Deus criou os céus e a terra. Era a terra sem forma e vazia; trevas cobriam a face do abismo, e o Espírito de Deus se movia sobre a face das águas. Disse Deus: “Haja luz”, e houve luz.

 

O que Deus está pedindo a Jó é o seguinte: Você é capaz de fazer tudo isso?

 

Deus está informando a mente elevada de Jó – eu fiz tudo isso.

Sempre haveria uma discrepância em sua representação.  Isso revela a realidade que nosso Criador nos fez com medo e de maneira maravilhosa e essa singularidade contribui para a diversidade de graças em nosso encontro.  Quando entendermos isso, perderemos nosso desejo de clonar ou nos replicar nos outros.  Nosso legado deve se concentrar na construção de uma cultura da Palavra e uma paixão para representar Cristo da melhor maneira possível, pela graça de Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor.  Enquanto residirmos em uma estrutura humana, sempre haverá discrepâncias.  Agradecemos a Deus por Cristo Jesus, nosso Mediador, cujo amor cobre todas as nossas discrepâncias.

 

1 Timóteo 2:5-6

Pois há um só Deus e um só mediador entre Deus e os homens: o homem Cristo Jesus, o qual se entregou a si mesmo como resgate por todos. Esse foi o testemunho dado em seu próprio tempo.

 

Jó também descobriu que, embora se considerasse justo, não podia representar exatamente a justiça de Deus.

 

Quando a justiça de Jó foi atacada, os trapos imundos são expostos.

 

AS PALAVRAS DE JÓ NÃO REFLETEM A JUSTIÇA DE DEUS

 

Jó 3:11

 “Por que não morri ao nascer, e não pereci quando saí do ventre?

Jó 3:23-26

Por que se dá vida àquele cujo caminho é oculto, e a quem Deus fechou as saídas? Pois me vêm suspiros em vez de comida; meus gemidos transbordam como água. O que eu temia veio sobre mim; o que eu receava me aconteceu. Não tenho paz, nem tranqüilidade, nem descanso; somente inquietação”.

 

Não tenho descanso, pois vem o problema.

 

Embora Jó fosse irrepreensível e honesto, temia a Deus e evitava o mal, suas palavras desprezavam seu nascimento e isso reflete um grande arrependimento.

 

Nossa justiça vem do conhecimento de Cristo. Cristo é nossa justiça e nossa paz.  Este é o presente da justiça de Deus que é imputado aos crentes.

 

A justiça de Jó representava seu código pessoal de justiça ou justiça própria.  Ele se desintegra quando exposto a calor e testes extremos

 

Deus avalia as várias palavras proferidas pelos três amigos de Jó e também as palavras do próprio Jó

 

DEUS AVALIA AS VÁRIAS PALAVRAS PROFERIDAS PELOS TRÊS AMIGOS DE JÓ E TAMBÉM AS PALAVRAS DE JÓ

 

Jó 42: 7

 

Depois que o Senhor disse essas palavras a Jó, disse também ao Elifaz, de Temã: “Estou indignado com você e com os seus dois amigos, pois vocês não falaram o que é certo a meu respeito, como fez meu servo Jó.

 

DEUS SEPARA A VERDADE DA FALSIDADE

 

O Senhor disse a Elifaz, o temanita: “Minha ira é despertada contra você e seus dois amigos, pois você não falou de mim o que é certo, como meu servo Jó.

 

A representação falsa do conselho de Deus a Jó em seu lugar de angústia foi feita por seus três amigos, e o conselho foi declarado falso por Deus.

 

Tanto Elifaz quanto Bildade fizeram essa suposição falsa, segundo Deus.

 

Eles deturparam o coração e a mente de Deus em seus conselhos a Jó.  Precisamos estar constantemente conscientes de nossas palavras para aqueles que sofrem em tempos de várias aflições.  Os céus estão notando nossas palavras

 

Jó 4:7-9

 

“Reflita agora: Qual foi o inocente que chegou a perecer? Onde foi que os íntegros sofreram destruição? Pelo que tenho observado, quem cultiva o mal e semeia maldade, isso também colherá. Pelo sopro de Deus são destruídos; pelo vento de sua ira eles perecem.

 

Isso demonstra uma deturpação da mente de Deus.

 

Zofar pede que Jó se arrependa.  Essa é uma resposta comum e típica da maioria dos crentes.  Se estamos passando por grandes aflições, devemos ter pecado.  Embora isso possa ser verdade em muitos casos, nem sempre é verdade como vemos no caso de Jó.  Jó era o candidato preferido de Deus no desafio de Deus a Satanás.

 

Jó 11:13-15

“Contudo, se você lhe consagrar o coração, e estender as mãos para ele;

se afastar das suas mãos o pecado, e não permitir que a maldade habite em sua tenda, então você levantará o rosto sem envergonhar-se; serás firme e destemido.

Seu coração não está certo. Quantas vezes recebemos esse conselho tipicamente “brilhante” de amigos bem-intencionados ou membros de nossa família?

 

Deus revela que Jó, em suas declarações finais, depois que Seus olhos se abriram para vê-Lo, declarou aquilo que estava certo.  Devemos buscar essa revelação, porque foi determinada por Deus como correta.

 

Jó 42:1-6

Então Jó respondeu ao Senhor: “Sei que podes fazer todas as coisas; nenhum dos teus planos pode ser frustrado. Tu perguntaste: ‘Quem é esse que obscurece o meu conselho sem conhecimento? ’ Certo é que falei de coisas que eu não entendia, coisas tão maravilhosas que eu não poderia saber. “Tu disseste: ‘Agora escute, e eu falarei; vou fazer-lhe perguntas, e você me responderá’. Meus ouvidos já tinham ouvido a teu respeito, mas agora os meus olhos te viram. Por isso menosprezo a mim mesmo e me arrependo no pó e na cinza”.

Aqueles que falaram sobre a vida de Jó falharam em representar a mente de Deus a respeito de sua situação em um momento de angústia.  Embora Jó fosse íntegro, irrepreensível, temesse a Deus, evitasse o mal, ele fez tudo isso sem encontrar com Ele;  mas agora toda a sua perspectiva mudou.  Jó declarou que não tinha conhecimento das coisas maravilhosas que Deus havia preparado para aqueles que O amam e cumprem Seus mandamentos.

 

Jó declara que proferiu aquilo que não sabia.

 

No final do relato de Jó, somos capazes de obter clareza sobre a verdadeira representação.

 

Seria proveitoso para todos os crentes fatorar essa declaração de verdade em nosso relacionamento com um Deus Onipotente.

 

Jó 42: 2

 

“Sei que podes fazer todas as coisas; nenhum dos teus planos pode ser frustrado.

Quando nossos olhos virem o rei e O ouvir – é hora de nos arrepender e nos abominar;  até esse momento, a cultura da deturpação continuará.
