The reason the apostolic/prophetic move of God is resisted in many cities is because it carries a strong spirit of dissent against a hybrid Samaritan culture that is antagonistic to the demands of the scriptures.
Jesus declared a curse over cities that are unable to receive and celebrate apostolic/prophetic grace.
These cities violently resisted apostolic/prophetic grace.
Matthew 23:37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! 38 See! Your house is left to you desolate;
Cities that reject apostolic/prophetic grace will become desolate because they have rejected the building model of the Lord’s church …… building on the foundations of apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone
Elijah made a similar pronouncement of drought against the royal administration of Ahab and Jezebel
1 Kings 17:1 And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”
Elijah stands confidently before King Ahab and makes this declaration. He knows that his God will support His declarations.
There is a pattern here; a revelation. Both Jesus and Elijah pronounced calamity on an environment that is hostile to the grace of those who are SENT by God.
This is further reinforced by public perception of who Jesus was.
Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
The reality is that all sectors of public polling revealed that Jesus carried the same spirit that was upon Elijah or Jeremiah or John the Baptist or one of the prophets.
All three men had a confrontational style of ministry. The people witnessed the same similarity in the ministry of Jesus. Public polling reveals the perception of the people; some actually believed that Jesus was Elijah.
Elijah will not avoid pronouncing a judgement drought over the land whose people had violated its covenant with Almighty God.
John the Baptist will not avoid demanding that the people repent
Matthew 3:1 In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”
Jesus revealed the same spirt.
After John was imprisoned, Jesus began to preach repentance like John
Matthew 4:12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, He departed to Galilee.
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
What about Jeremiah ?
Jeremiah 1:9 Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me:“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. 10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.”
Jeremiah 1:16 I will utter My judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, Because they have forsaken Me, Burned incense to other gods, And worshiped the works of their own hands. 17 “Therefore prepare yourself and arise, And speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before their faces, Lest I dismay you before them.
We notice the similarity between Jesus demanding reformation and Jeremiah or one of the prophets. Now if we read Ephesians 2 again, we can see why Jesus would be perceived in this way in the eyes of the public ……
We are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,
Let us consolidate my argument. Please follow me carefully for a few moments ….
John 17:11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You.
Exact Representation of Spirit and Truth (Word of God)
John 17:14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
Now here is the point …..
John 17:20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;
If the world hated Jesus and if the world hated His disciples, how is it that the world loves the message preached by most leaders today.
Leaders go to great lengths to ensure that they have a positive profile in respect of our message that we have ensured confronts no one or no ruling power or principality.
Therefore question is equally applicable to present day leadership ….
Who do men say that we are?
Jesus makes a simple statement concerning our ministry that has Christ as the cornerstone
Matthew 10:22 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
Peter received the revelation concerning the identity of Jesus.
Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
We know that Christ is FULL of grace. Whilst some saw Jesus as expressions of Elijah, John the Baptist, Jeremiah or one of the prophets, Peter received the complete revelation of Christ, the Anointed One, the Son of the Living God. It is from this repository of “fullness of grace” that Jesus would give some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.
Just as the public, noted various expressions of five fold ministry in Jesus, we need to avail ourselves to Jesus as His vessels of honor.
Allow Him to use us in any way or expression that pleases Him.

QUEM OS HOMENS DIZEM QUE EU SOU?
A razão pela qual o movimento apostólico/profético de Deus é resistido em muitas cidades é porque ele carrega um forte espírito de dissidência contra uma cultura híbrida samaritana que é antagônica às exigências das escrituras.

As cidades que rejeitam a graça apostólica/profética se tornarão desoladas porque rejeitaram o modelo de construção da igreja do Senhor… construindo sobre os fundamentos dos apóstolos e profetas com Jesus Cristo sendo a principal pedra angular
Elias fez um pronunciamento semelhante de seca contra a administração real de Acabe e Jezabel
1 Reis 17:1 Ora, Elias, o tesbita da Tisbe de Gileade, disse a Acabe: “Juro pelo nome do Senhor, o Deus de Israel, a quem sirvo, que não cairá orvalho nem chuva nos anos seguintes, exceto mediante a minha palavra”.
Elias está confiante diante do rei Acabe e faz esta declaração. Ele sabe que seu Deus apoiará Suas declarações.
Há um padrão aqui; uma revelação. Tanto Jesus quanto Elias pronunciaram calamidade em um ambiente hostil à graça daqueles que são ENVIADOS por Deus.
Isso é ainda mais reforçado pela percepção pública de quem Jesus era.
Mateus 16:13-14 Chegando Jesus à região de Cesaréia de Filipe, perguntou aos seus discípulos: “Quem os homens dizem que o Filho do homem é? ” Eles responderam: “Alguns dizem que é João Batista; outros, Elias; e, ainda outros, Jeremias ou um dos profetas”.
A realidade é que todos os setores da pesquisa pública revelaram que Jesus carregava o mesmo espírito que estava sobre Elias ou Jeremias ou João Batista ou um dos profetas.
Todos os três homens tinham um estilo de ministério de confronto. As pessoas testemunharam a mesma semelhança no ministério de Jesus. A pesquisa pública revela a percepção das pessoas; alguns realmente acreditavam que Jesus era Elias.
Elias não evitará pronunciar um julgamento seco sobre a terra cujo povo havia violado sua aliança com o Deus Todo-Poderoso.
João Batista não deixará de exigir que o povo se arrependa
Mateus 3:1-2 Naqueles dias surgiu João Batista, pregando no deserto da Judéia.
Ele dizia: “Arrependam-se, porque o Reino dos céus está próximo”.
Jesus revelou o mesmo espírito.
Depois que João foi preso, Jesus começou a pregar arrependimento como João
Mateus 4:12 Quando Jesus ouviu que João tinha sido preso, voltou para a Galiléia.
Mateus 4:17 Daí em diante Jesus começou a pregar: “Arrependam-se, pois o Reino dos céus está próximo”.
E quanto a Jeremias?
Jeremias 1:9-10 O Senhor estendeu a mão, tocou a minha boca e disse-me: “Agora ponho em sua boca as minhas palavras. Veja! Eu hoje dou a você autoridade sobre nações e reinos, para arrancar, despedaçar, arruinar e destruir; para edificar e para plantar”.
Jeremias 1:16-17 Pronunciarei a minha sentença contra o meu povo por todas as suas maldades; porque me abandonaram, queimaram incenso a outros deuses, e adoraram deuses que as suas mãos fizeram”. “E você, prepare-se! Vá dizer-lhes tudo o que eu ordenar. Não fique aterrorizado por causa deles, senão eu o aterrorizarei diante deles.
Notamos a semelhança entre Jesus exigindo reforma e Jeremias ou um dos profetas. Agora, se lermos Efésios 2 novamente, podemos ver por que Jesus seria percebido dessa maneira aos olhos do público…
Somos edificados sobre o fundamento dos apóstolos e profetas, sendo o próprio Jesus Cristo a principal pedra da esquina,
Vamos consolidar meu argumento. Por favor, siga-me cuidadosamente por alguns momentos….
João 17:11 Não ficarei mais no mundo, mas eles ainda estão no mundo, e eu vou para ti.
Representação Exata do Espírito e da Verdade (Palavra de Deus)
João 17:14 Dei-lhes a tua palavra, e o mundo os odiou, pois eles não são do mundo, como eu também não sou.
Agora aqui é o ponto…
João 17:20 “Minha oração não é apenas por eles. Rogo também por aqueles que crerão em mim, por meio da mensagem deles,
Se o mundo odiou Jesus e se o mundo odiou Seus discípulos, como é que o mundo ama a mensagem pregada pela maioria dos líderes hoje?
Os líderes se esforçam muito para garantir que tenham um perfil positivo em relação à nossa mensagem que garantimos que não confronta ninguém ou nenhum poder governante ou principado.
Portanto, a questão é igualmente aplicável à liderança atual….
Quem os homens dizem que somos?
Jesus faz uma declaração simples sobre nosso ministério que tem Cristo como pedra angular
Mateus 10:22 Todos odiarão vocês por minha causa, mas aquele que perseverar até o fim será salvo.
Pedro recebeu a revelação sobre a identidade de Jesus.
Mateus 16:16 Simão Pedro respondeu: “Tu és o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo”.
Sabemos que Cristo é CHEIO de graça. Enquanto alguns viam Jesus como expressões de Elias, João Batista, Jeremias ou um dos profetas, Pedro recebeu a revelação completa de Cristo, o Ungido, o Filho do Deus Vivo. É desse repositório da “plenitude da graça” que Jesus daria alguns para serem apóstolos, alguns profetas, alguns evangelistas e alguns pastores e mestres.
Assim como o público notou várias expressões do ministério quíntuplo em Jesus, precisamos nos valer a Jesus como Seus vasos de honra.
Permita que Ele nos use de qualquer maneira ou expressão que Lhe agrade.
