1 Kings 18:36-38
And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “ Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”
38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.

There are three specific requests that Elijah asked of God…
1) That there must be a national confession and acknowledgement of the ONE TRUE GOD over Israel.
This is a confession that every Jewish child has to learn:
SH’MA YISRAEL YAHWEH ELOHENU YAHWEH ECHAD
Hear, Israel! Yahweh our-Elohim, Yahweh One
In this season, believers must pray from this foundation of understanding and total acceptance of the sovereign rulership of Jesus Christ our Lord.

2) Elijah confessed before His God that he functioned as God’s servant, doing all that he was instructed to do by THE ONE TRUE GOD. Public and social opinion did not determine his actions; but simply following Divine instructions as a humble servant, totally submitted to the will of the ONE TRUE GOD.

3) Elijah articulates the mercy of THE ONE TRUE GOD….that the purpose of the miracle was to turn the hearts of the people back to God. Every sign, wonder and miracle is not meant for personal gratification; it is a catalyst that would accelerate the return of the children of God back to the heart of the Father…THE ONE TRUE GOD.

Father, I pray today, LET YOUR FIRE FALL !

It will be great to be back in UMZINTO again next week to be part of the anointed ministry team that will be submitted to the grace of Pastors Mervin and Roseanne Mundie, senior ministers of Christian Outreach Ministries.
The Lord has placed the burden of gathering the various ministries together to represent the Body of Christ in the region. The Lord has a message to communicate to the Body. The days of independent, isolated and detached ministerial activities have run their course and are now counter productive to what God wants to do on the earth.
John saw a significant change in the landscape.
Revelation 16:20
Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
We are praying that the city of UMZINTO will gravitate towards the plans and intentions of God.
The eyes of the Lord are running to and fro….scanning the earth……He wants to command blessings upon brethren who will gather together in His Name… united around His Word, united around the Cross.
