POLÍTICO. MERCENÁRIO OU SERVA CONSAGRADOS DO DEUS ALTISSIMO?

A queixa foi que Salomão tinha imposto uma pesada carga fiscal sobre as pessoas e as pessoas estão buscando alívio do jugo pesado que ele havia colocado sobre suas vidas.

7 Eles lhe disseram: Se hoje te tornares servo deste povo, e o servires, e, respondendo-lhe, lhe falares boas palavras, eles serão para sempre teus servos. 8 Ele, porém, deixou o conselho que os anciãos lhe deram, e teve conselho com os mancebos que haviam crescido com ele, e que assistiam diante dele,
O conselho dos anciãos revelam que eles não querem causar problemas com as pessoas. Eles são mais velhos; eles estão pensando em seus privilégios, a sua segurança; o seu estatuto; eles querem proteger os seus benefícios financeiros. O que a liderança da igreja pode fazer para alcançar o domínio? Os anciãos não desejam problemas do povo.
Eles aconselharam Roboão que deve falar “boas palavras”. Não se preocupe com a doutrina; Não se preocupe com todo o mal, sistemas operacionais carnais entre o povo. Não provocar as pessoas. Os anciãos queria toda a nação a se unir sem doutrina; eles devem ser inspirados, encorajados e massageado em todos os momentos. Roboão rejeitou o conselho dos anciãos.
Roboão consultou os jovens que haviam crescido com ele.

9 perguntando-lhes: Que aconselhais vós que respondamos a este povo, que me disse: Alivia o jugo que teu pai nos impôs? 10 E os mancebos que haviam crescido com ele responderam-lhe: A este povo que te falou, dizendo: Teu pai fez pesado o nosso jugo, mas tu o alivia de sobre nós; assim lhe falarás: Meu dedo mínimo é mais grosso do que os lombos de meu pai. 11 Assim que, se meu pai vos carregou dum jugo pesado, eu ainda aumentarei o vosso jugo; meu pai vos castigou com açoites; eu, porém, vos castigarei com escorpiões.
Este grupo de jovens que cresceram com Roboão na casa de Salomão representados “filhos nascidos em casa”, que carregam a mesma graça do pai …. no entanto, a sua graça é muito mais intensificada. POLITICIAN, MERCENARY OR CONSECRATED SERVANT OF THE MOST HIGH GOD?
We find that church leadership finds itself under great pressure to conform to the demands of the congregation. King Solomon had recently died and the congregation of Israel gathers together at Shechem to elect Rehoboam as their king. Their approval of Rehoboam is conditional.
1 Kings 12:4-5
4 “Your father made our yoke heavy; now therefore, lighten the burdensome service of your father, and his heavy yoke which he put on us, and we will serve you.”5 So he said to them, “Depart for three days, then come back to me.” And the people departed.
The complaint was that Solomon had imposed a heavy tax burden on the people and the people are seeking relief from the heavy yoke that he had placed upon their lives.
The people are asking for some form of relief. The people do not sound like a congregation; they sound like an electorate…. It appears that this is a political campaign. Many churches are structured in this manner where the votes of the people determine their leader. The church does not function as a democracy, it is the wife of Christ…. It is a theocracy. The leader is called by God to fulfill the plans and purposes of God for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. Rehoboam needed advice. He referred this situation to his elders for their advice.
1 Kings 12:7-8
7 And they spoke to him, saying, “If you will be a servant to these people today, and serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.”8 But he rejected the advice which the elders had given him, and consulted the young men who had grown up with him, who stood before him.
The advice of the elders reveal that they do not want to cause any problems with the people. They are elders; they are thinking about their privileges, their security; their status; they want to protect their financial benefits. What will the leadership of the church do to achieve dominion? The elders did not desire to trouble the people.
They advised that Rehoboam must speak “good words”. Don’t worry about doctrine; don’t worry about all the evil, carnal operating systems among the people. Do not provoke the people. Speak “good words”. The elders are saying…. Do not listen to the voice of God. The people must be happy at all times.The elders wanted the whole nation to be united without doctrine; they must be inspired, encouraged and massaged at all times. Rehoboam rejected the advice of the elders. Rehoboam consulted the young men who had grown up with him.
1 Kings 12:9-11
9 And he said to them, “What advice do you give? How should we answer this people who have spoken to me, saying, ‘Lighten the yoke which your father put on us’?”10 Then the young men who had grown up with him spoke to him, saying, “Thus you should speak to this people who have spoken to you, saying, “Your father made our yoke heavy, but you make it lighter on us’—thus you shall say to them: ‘My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s waist! 11 And now, whereas my father put a heavy yoke on you, I will add to your yoke; my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scourges!’ ”
This group of young men who grew up with Rehoboam in the household of Solomon represented “sons born in the house” who carry the same grace of the father….however, their grace is much more intensified. They are more passionate.We believe that the next generation of sons who have grown at our side will do greater exploits for the Kingdom than their fathers. True sons will cause acceleration in the business of the Father. We prophesy this. When Jesus was twelve years, He was busy with His Father’s business.
Luke 2:49-50
49 And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” 50 But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.
Sons must be busy with the business of the Father. To God be all honor, glory and praise.
