Jeremias 18

12 Mas eles dizem: Não há esperança; porque após os nossos projetos andaremos, e cada um fará segundo o propósito obstinado do seu mau coraçao. 

13 Portanto assim diz o Senhor: Perguntai agora entre as nações quem ouviu tais coisas? coisa mui horrenda fez a virgem de Israel!   

14 Acaso desaparece a neve do Líbano dos penhascos do Siriom? Serão esgotadas as águas frias que vêm dos montes?   

15 Contudo o meu povo se tem esquecido de mim, queimando incenso a deuses falsos; fizeram-se tropeçar nos seus caminhos, e nas veredas antigas, para que andassem por atalhos não aplainados;   

16 para fazerem da sua terra objeto de espanto e de perpétuos assobios; todo aquele que passa por ela se espanta, e meneia a cabeça.   

17 Com vento oriental os espalharei diante do inimigo; mostrar-lhes-ei as costas e não o rosto, no dia da sua calamidade.   

18 Então disseram: Vinde, e maquinemos projetos contra Jeremias; pois não perecerá a lei do sacerdote, nem o conselho do sábio, nem a palavra do profeta. Vinde, e firâmo-lo com a língua, e não atendamos a nenhuma das suas palavras. 

Os habitantes de Jerusalém declararam a Palavra de Jeremias sem esperança; Deus protege seus profetas.

O povo decidiu, cada um, seguir os ditames de seu coração maligno.

Essas pessoas rebeldes abandonaram as águas de neve que fluem do Líbano para “águas estranhas”.

Deus promete neste tempo que você não verá a face Dele, mas as costas Dele; haverá uma dispersão do povo de Deus por causa de sua infidelidade; eles são culpados de queimar incenso a ídolos inúteis.

Eles decidiram elaborar planos contra Jeremias que representavam a voz de Deus.

Eles o atacaram com a língua (calúnia) e não receberam a Palavra do Senhor em sua boca.

Deus promete a restauração de cidades e nações.

Jeremias 18: 5-8

5 Então veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:   

6 Não poderei eu fazer de vós como fez este oleiro, ó casa de Israel? diz o Senhor. Eis que, como o barro na mão do oleiro, assim sois vós na minha mão, ó casa de Israel.   

7 Se em qualquer tempo eu falar acerca duma nação, e acerca dum reino, para arrancar, para derribar e para destruir,   

8 e se aquela nação, contra a qual falar, se converter da sua maldade, também eu me arrependerei do mal que intentava fazer-lhe.   

Escolha beber as águas da neve que vêm da Rocha (Cristo); a sabedoria de cima é, primeiro, pura. Estes são como os rios das águas vivas. Rejeite as águas que são purificadas pelos sistemas de filtragem da terra. A água é um símbolo da doutrina.

Declaramos que há esperança para o povo de Deus se nos humilharmos e retornarmos a Deus.

Jeremiah 18:12-18

12 And they said, “That is hopeless! So we will walk according to our own plans, and we will every one obey the dictates of his evil heart.”

13 Therefore thus says the Lord: “Ask now among the Gentiles,

Who has heard such things? The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.

14 Will a man leave the snow water of Lebanon, Which comes from the rock of the field?Will the cold flowing waters be forsaken for strange waters?

15 “Because My people have forgotten Me, They have burned incense to worthless idols. And they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways,

From the ancient paths, To walk in pathways and not on a highway,

16 To make their land desolate and a perpetual hissing;

Everyone who passes by it will be astonished And shake his head.

17 I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy;

I will show them the back and not the face In the day of their calamity.”

18 Then they said, “Come and let us devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come and let us attack him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.”

The inhabitants of Jerusalem declared the Word of Jeremiah to be hopeless; God protects His prophets.

The people decided, each one, to follow the dictates of his evil heart.

These rebellious people have abandoned the snow waters that flow from Lebanon for “strange waters”.

God promises in this time that you will not see His face, but His back; there will be a scattering of the people of God because of their unfaithfulness; they are guilty of burning incense to worthless idols.

They decided to devise plans against Jeremiah who represented the voice of God.

They attacked him with the tongue (slander) and did not receive the Word of the Lord in his mouth.

God promises restoration of cities and nations.

Jeremiah 18:5-8

5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 6 “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the Lord. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel! 7 The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, 8 if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it.

Choose to drink the snow waters that come from the Rock (Christ); the wisdom from above is, first, pure. These are like the rivers of living waters. Reject the waters that are purified by the filtration systems of the earth. Water is a symbol of doctrine.

We declare that there is hope for God’s people if we humble ourselves and return to God.
