LET US GO HIGHER

John 6:53-57
Then Jesus said to them, “ Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.

John 6:60-61
60 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?”
61 When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “ Does this offend you?

John 6:66-69
From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “ Do you also want to go away?”
68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

The call to the next level will always produce casualties. When Jesus called his disciples to a higher level of intimacy and commitment, many disciples were not mentally ready to make this migration. The problem was that there is a change in frequency as we get upwardly mobile with God. Adjustments have to be made if we are to get to the next level. Every level demands a new configuration. The next level will always demand a higher level of consecration. The disciples were witnesses of great miracles…they saw Jesus walk on the water; they saw him feed the five thousand; they saw him heal the sick; yet they were unable to follow through to the finish.
Greater levels of authority, power, wisdom, revelation, anointing lie at the next level….when you come into a place of ONENESS with Christ.

Jesus was even ready to dismiss the twelve disciples that were left standing.
He had the power to raise Lazarus from the dead, He can raise anyone to serve Him.
Those that remained with the Lord declared that “they have come to believe”.
This means we need to remain faithful. We need to be consistent in our relationship with Christ and His servants that He has appointed over our lives. This is a “long walk to freedom”. We will eventually “come to believe”.
Do not expect the bells to ring and the lights to start flashing immediately, but as we walk with Christ, we will come to believe that He is the Son of the Living God.
Lets go higher!

CCF INTERNATIONAL CHURCH CONFERENCE
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
From Thursday 6 September to Sunday 9 September 2012
with Dr S.Y.Govender, Ap Thamo Naidoo

BRAZIL….MAY 2012

Sheila and I are preparing to leave Brazil. It is been an amazing, revelatory journey. The Spirit of the Lord impressed upon my heart to speak on the urgency of installing the father/son governmental structure in the various households of faith. This message was well received at all the meetings.

The experience of visiting the jungle in the Amazonas was a truly memorable experience. We visited the indigenous Livramente tribe of Indians who were very hospitable and receptive to our ministry. We are thankful to Geraldo and Tamara  for arranging the Conference in the City Hall of Manaus. A great time of impartation as the Spirit of God moved easily and freely in the meetings. I am thankful to my spiritual sons Marcelo Sant’anna, Marcio Bernadino and Robson Berdeville for accompanying us on this epic journey.
The memories will remain for a long time.

We are thankful to all our new associations in Rio de Janeiro. The CCF International Brazil family is growing. The leaders have been reminded of the mandate given by the Lord to go into all  the world and to make disciples. We have expanded our view to the others nations on the South American continent. We are pioneers. We cut the road, refusing to build on the foundations of others….we take the risks, we pay the price….we know that the Lord will honour our sacrifices.

We spent much of this day talking about the Apostolic Conference in Rio de Janeiro in September this year. There is much excitement and anticipation concerning this event. All regions have to commit this event to prayer as the structures of darkness will want to cause chaos in our preparations.

Here is a simple principle….
We  cannot access the father if we deny the Son.

Matthew 10:32-33
32 “ Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Let us use every opportunity to talk about Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. We must not allow the wisdom of the Greeks to intimidate us from confessing and declaring that Christ is the wisdom and power of God.
In environments where there is an absence of His Glory and His Presence, we will also observe an absence of confession, and the throne and the altar has been been overtaken by the operating systems of Babylon and other systems of government that are hostile to the reality that the Church is the Bride of Christ, belonging to Christ alone. Let us confess His Lordship and Kingship.

THE DEMAND FOR PURITY IN DIVINE WISDOM

James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

There are two words that are absolutely critical to our understanding of Divine wisdom. The apostle James uses both these words in bringing greater clarity and definition to the aspect of wisdom from “above”. The Body is weary of failed methods and strategies that developed from wisdom from “below” or natural intelligence.

The words that James uses are “first” and “then”
The first demand is purity.
The Hebrew word ” hagnos” means freedom from defilement and impurities. We all are acutely aware that this refers to a whole range of leaven that contaminates and estranges the heart of man from God.

When Jesus visited the synagogue, He “first” encountered serious contamination. He did not care to evaluate all the good works of the synagogue. The synagogue must have had wonderful programs, evangelistic meetings, regular conferences, bible study programme etc.
Yet Jesus saw none of this.
He saw the “first” thing….. A den of thieves.
Failure in the first demand disqualified the administration and the activities of the entire movement.

When Paul brings greater clarity and definition to the word “love”, we see the same principle at work in this scripture…
1 Corinthians 13:4-6
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

Love does many wonderful things…..however in Verse 6. It is incapable of rejoicing in iniquity ….Love rejoices in the truth

As we stand before this veil, that would preclude us from entering in, let us freely and confidently accept the person of TRUTH himself into our lives…the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our peace!
Ephesians 2:14-18
14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

SWEETER THAN HONEY

THE PROPHETIC VOICE …. THE ” TROUBLER” OF ISRAEL

1 Kings 18:17-18
Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, “ Is that you, O troubler of Israel?”
18 And he answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord and have followed the Baals.

THE JUDGEMENTS OF THE LORD …. SWEETER THAN HONEY

Psalms 19:7-10
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

There is a clear difference in the way David perceived and received the Word of the Lord, and the way the house of Ahab, under the rulership of his wife Jezebel,received proceeding the  Word of the Lord.
The household of Ahab will always receive the proceeding Word from the Lord spoken through His prophet Elijah as trouble. The question to be asked this day is this:   How do we receive a proceeding Word from God?
Is it from God if it supports our erroneous ways?
The pivotal purpose of the Word of the Lord is to provide illumination so that we may not stray from God’s plans and purposes for our lives.

Psalms 119:105.  Your word is a lamp to my feet  And a light to my path.

This means if we walk in error, there will be  a proceeding Word from God to bring adjustment to our walk. We should not interpret this as “trouble”. Despising the proceeding word of the Lord will delay us in accomplishing our assignment. The authenticity of a proceeding Word of the Lord is not validated by the level of excitement experienced by the hearer.

David, on the other hand, loved the truth of the “entirety of the Word of God”. Whether it corrects, instructs,rebukes, encourages or refreshes it is “altogether” good and wholesome. David considers the Word of God more desirable that fine gold…that all the riches this world has to offer.
Allow His Word to renew our mind to  celebrate the Word of the Lord.

Philippians 4:10-13
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:
12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Our lives are constantly challenged by daily trials. So often we would simply quote, to encourage ourselves, the scripture:
” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”

Yet we remain in a continual state of defeat. This is not the will of God for our lives. We are expected to remain confident in our Saviour and Redeemer ….this is a clear sign of where we are spiritually located.
It is in Him that we live and move and have our being.

It is this position that activates an impartation of strength. All of our “doings” must be “through Christ”…..Unless the Lord builds the house…understand?
We may be squandering valuable resources investing in systems and structures that are not sustainable over a period of time. The Lord must be a central consideration in all our plans and strategies.

Be prepared to suffer for the sake of the Kingdom. Be prepared to be abased…to be made low…to be humbled….to be made to feel that you are nothing, your grace will be despised, you will be scorned and ridiculed….learn the skill of being content in all situations. This is an acquired skill. We have to learn it. Remain rooted and planted in Christ. The enemy cannot touch you.

It is only when we have mastered the ability to sing songs of joy and praise in times of intense persecution will we be in a position to declare….
” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”

COVETOUSNESS IS IDOLATRY

COVETOUSNESS IS IDOLATRY

COLOSSIANS 3:5-6: “Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: … passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience”

EPHESIANS 5:5: ” For this you know, that no … covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God

What does the word  “covet” mean?
The Hebrew word “hamad”  meaning to take pleasure in, to desire, to lust, to covet,  to desire passionately.

We see from the writings of Paul that coveting is equal to being idolatrous. This practice must be put to death. The thinking here is that one’s inordinate desire and passion to possess that which belongs to another will become a major distraction in your life; that thing that one covets becomes the idol and the passion of ones life. This is declared to be sinful. The tenth Commandment establishes covetousness to be a sinful practice. The thing that one covets becomes a god in one’s life and ultimately the driving force and motivation.
The prophet Micah declares disastrous consequences to the one who would make a career out of coveting:

Micah 2:1-3
1 Woe to those who devise iniquity, And work out evil on their beds!
At morning light they practice it, Because it is in the power of their hand.
2 They covet fields and take them by violence, Also houses, and seize them.
So they oppress a man and his house, A man and his inheritance.
3 Therefore thus says the Lord: “Behold, against this family I am devising disaster, From which you cannot remove your necks;
Nor shall you walk haughtily, For this is an evil time.

We know about the covetous nature of the Ahab/Jezebel mentality that demonstrated no respect for the vineyard of their neighbor Naboth whose family worked the field for generations….this was an inheritance from his father.
Ahab’s only concern was to extend his field by appropriating the property which brought joy to the household of Naboth’s family for generations. But how would you expect Ahab to concern himself with this?
He is covetous and idolatrous by nature.
The matter did not stop there.
He engaged his wife Jezebel to do his evil work. They truly suited one another perfectly.

To all my sons, find your field, and work your field. Do not covet anything that belongs to another brother. Be faithful in what God has called you to do and God will bless you. Amen. Love and peace.
