These are my notes from my presentation to the ABC Forum of leaders in Durban, South Africa on Thursday 12 May 2022.

It analyses the circumstances around the failure of a vineyard to produce a quality harvest as referred to in the utterances of Isaiah His prophet.

The two points that we need to take away from this morning’s presentation ……

• Spiritual Judgements / restoration

• Protection of the Seed

My presentation this morning is intended to bring into sharp focus, the reason for the failure and the defiling of entire harvests.

Remember when metaphors and similes are used in the scriptures, the audience or the reader is assumed to be well acquainted with the metaphor.

This morning, although many would listen to the recording of this presentation, please keep in mind that I am addressing an audience in Durban that is not familiar with viticulture

which is the cultivation, protection, and harvesting of grapes

I may refer to some technical terms relating to the natural cultivation and management of a vineyard, which I gathered from my research for this presentation.

Straightaway, many of us find ourselves at a disadvantage, because our knowledge on the subject is limited or non existent.

So let us first try to understand the words of Isaiah from the perspective of an entrepreneur who has a well ordered business. Yet, in spite of the significant investment in the infrastructure of the vineyard the viticulturist discovers that the entire harvest was defiled

Many entrepreneurs and businessmen have experienced various calamities in their business ventures; but one thing will always stand out ….. they usually know the reason or cause of their failures

However God infers through Isaiah’s declarations that He is demanding judgement and accountability from the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Almighty God is defending the innocence of the heavens, in that He did everything that was expected of Him. God knows exactly the root cause of the defilement of the Harvest.

But He wants the men of Judah and the people of Jerusalem to accept responsibility for their failure and not bring the Name of Almighty God into disrepute.

He is declaring His judgement over His vineyard.

Paul is careful to remind his likeminded son Timothy about the SACROSANCTITY of all scripture

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

God’s people are referred to as an “unturned cake” having their culture and doctrine contaminated by foreign pagan and idolatrous influences.

Hosea 7:8 “Ephraim has mixed himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake unturned. 9 Aliens have devoured his strength, But he does not know it; Yes, gray hairs are here and there on him, Yet he does not know it. 10 And the pride of Israel testifies to his face, But they do not return to the LORD their God, Nor seek Him for all this.

A healthy vineyard knows how to access the fullness and totality of His Word. Failure to do this by the people of God will attract the metaphor of God’s people being an “unturned cake”. It is healthy to familiarise ourselves with the spiritual judgements of God. We will encounter a comprehensive litany of spiritual judgements and indictments against the people of God, especially against their leaders, elders, rulers, kings and priests, when we read books like Amos, Micah, Malachi, Ezekiel and Jeremiah among others.

When God declares through the mouth of His prophet these words :

Isaiah 5:4 What more could have been done to My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes?

God is venting His frustration and exasperation at the failure of God’s people to discern the critical importance of being sober and vigilant at all times to thwart the works of the adversary of God’s people who is activated when God’s people are sleeping.

THE JUDGEMENT OVER GOD’S VINEYARD

Isaiah 5:5 And now, please let Me tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be burned; And break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down. 6 I will lay it waste; It shall not be pruned or dug, But there shall come up briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.”

We are grateful that together with His spiritual judgements, the grace of the Lord is accessible for the restoration of God’s people.

The same mouth of Ezekiel that declared terrifying judgements over God’s people also declared over them :

Ezekiel 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it,” says the LORD.’ ”

The challenge for God’s people is to endure the severity of the testing. It would be a traumatic, dark phase, even if the Presence of God is with us. Remember that long suffering is a fruit of the Spirit.

There was this darkness that covered the earth, even when Jesus was tested and crucified. His resurrection demonstrated the truth and faithfulness of His Father.

Luke 23:44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.

Paul endured the testing.

Paul writes to the believers in Corinth declaring the burden of apostolic ministry…….

1 Corinthians 4:9 For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! 11 To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. 12 And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; 13 being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

So let us return to the reasons for the defiled harvest

The reason for failure of the vineyard was simply complacent oversight by the viticulturist. The leader (set man) of a local church or family of God is the “type” of viticulturist. Jesus also informs us ……

John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

Jesus sets out the pattern of the Father/Son wineskin as the management model for the vineyard.

The Word of God is the seed in our hand of the viticulturist. This is his greatest resource. Seed is not visible, because it is sown below the ground

Although one can procure fertile land; free of all the stones and all other impediments to a quality harvest; although one can construct a magnificent watch tower in its midst; although one can commission and install a magnificent wine press – in anticipation of a high quality harvest that is worthy of the capital investment ……

One can easily forget the critical importance of protecting the seed.

In spite of all the hard work being done, how is it that the harvest is Wild Grapes.

The wild grapes that the scriptures are particularly referring to are inedible and highly toxic……. they are worthless.

This is a DEFILED HARVEST

God is demanding arbitration – Judge between me and My vineyard. This appears to be a consistent question that is raised in the scriptures. This is not an isolated issue.

Jesus Himself teaches on the subject in the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

What was a mystery in the Old Testament is decoded by Jesus in His parable.

This situation is similar to the account in Isaiah

Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’

Where did the viticulturists in Isaiah’s time get it wrong and how is it that leaders of God’s people, the present day vineyard, with all our knowledge, revelation and wisdom continue to produce wild grapes?

The revelation of truth lies in the use of the watchtower

The watch tower was used primarily during the time of Harvest. This is when farmers would gather the produce and store them in the basement of the Tower. Their families would also live in the Tower during the Time of Harvest. The entire focus and expectancy was around the time of the Harvest.

The Harvest is symbolic of “Sukkot”

Sukkot is also known as the Feast of Shelters, the Feast of Tabernacles and the Feast of Ingathering that was commanded by God on Mount Sinai. Our vision for the gathering of believers in the City has been inspired by Sukkot….

The scriptural reality is that the Body of believers in the city, across all denominations and groups could not constitute a vineyard in accordance to Biblical expectations.

This is because of one reason only ….. we cannot plant a vineyard with 20 different types of seed. We will forever be complaining about a defiled harvest of wild grapes

It is my very personal perspective, that the City Church must be viewed as how a farmer would view “An agricultural Cooperative”

Where farmers gather to discuss their common challenges, their products, their collective strength in trading that would give them a stronger voice in the marketplace,sharing of various skills and technologies for the common benefit of all, their responsibility towards social struggles, presenting greater employment opportunities etc”. The Cooperative is able to do all this without disenfranchising the viticulturist, irrespective of the size of the vineyard. The Cooperative represents the well being of ALL vineyards in the city.

Profit is not the primary goal; the primary goal is to serve.

What more could the Lord have done?

Let me qualify the “Sukkot” principle that I have applied here by reading from David’s words in his psalm where he is lamenting the spiritual condition of God’s vineyard …..

Psalms 80:8 You have brought a vine out of Egypt; You have cast out the nations, and planted it.(Speaks of removing the stones and all other impediments) It is foolishness to sow seed upon the stones. The removal of the stones is not negotiable 9 You prepared room for it, And caused it to take deep root, And it filled the land. 10 The hills were covered with its shadow, And the mighty cedars with its boughs. 11 She sent out her boughs to the Sea, And her branches to the River. 12 Why have You broken down her hedges, So that all who pass by the way pluck her fruit? 13 The boar out of the woods uproots it, And the wild beast of the field devours it. 14 Return, we beseech You, O God of hosts; Look down from heaven and see, And visit this vine 15 And the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, And the branch that You made strong for Yourself.

Sukkot represents the gathering of the vineyards. They gather in remembrance of the goodness of God, celebrating and giving thanks to the Lord of the Harvest. The viticulturist should always remember that it is God who makes all things grow.

There can be no Sukkot without the Harvest There can be no Harvest without a vineyard There can be no vineyard without the seed (Word of God)

We receive seed as we receive the ones who are sent to us; those who are carriers and couriers of the Word of the Lord

Jeremiah 1:9 Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me:“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

INACCURATE FOCUS It is possible that we could be so focussed on the Harvest and the Feast of Tabernacles that we can miss a critical revelation that is responsible for the defilement of the entire harvest

REVELATION OF THE USE OF THE TOWER Instead of deploying watchmen to stand guard only during the Harvest, set men (viticulturists) need to double the security detail during and after the sowing of the seed until the Harvest is safely delivered to the winepress.

The secret is to protect the seed The greatest resource is the seed Without seed, there is no quality harvest

An unguarded tower during the “planting season” is the open window that the adversary has used to creep in at night when the viticulturist is sleeping.

When the set man and leaders recognise that they have done all the hard work. They have removed the all stones and other impediments. They have ploughed the field. They have sowed the seed (Word of God). Many leaders, at this moment, are lulled into a false sense of rest declaring “Job well done!” This is the time when the entire vineyard is at its most vulnerable. The viticulturist has done his part and rightfully understands that it is God who makes all things grow

Jesus informs us through His parable of the Wheat and the Tares that it is at this decisive moment that the Harvest is at its GREATEST RISK

The enemy introduces an alternative seed into the same field knowing that God will make all things grow, including the tare. This happens when God’s leaders are sleeping.

This is the reason God wanted the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to judge between Him (the Eternal Vinedresser) and His beloved vineyard (His people)

The most important task of the set man or the viticulturist is to protect the SEED. Protect the doctrine that is entrusted to us. There are over 10000 varieties of grape. Mixed wine attracts many believers immersed in a post modern culture.

Let us not lay the blame on God when we sleep after sowing a good seed.

This is enshrined in the Law.

Deuteronomy 22:9 “You shall not sow your vineyard with different kinds of seed, lest the yield of the seed which you have sown and the fruit of your vineyard be defiled.

Estas são as minhas notas da minha apresentação ao Fórum de líderes do ABC em Durban, África do Sul, na quinta-feira, 12 de maio de 2022.

Ele analisa as circunstâncias em torno do fracasso de uma vinha em produzir uma colheita de qualidade, conforme mencionado nas declarações de Isaías, Seu profeta.

Os dois pontos que precisamos tirar da apresentação desta manhã ……

• Julgamentos Espirituais / restauração

• Proteção da Semente

Minha apresentação esta manhã pretende trazer em foco, a razão do fracasso e da profanação de colheitas inteiras.

Lembre-se quando metáforas e símiles são usados nas escrituras, supõe-se que o público ou o leitor estejam bem familiarizados com a metáfora.

Esta manhã, embora muitos ouçam a gravação desta apresentação, lembre-se de que estou me dirigindo a um público em Durban que não está familiarizado com a viticultura, que é o cultivo, proteção e colheita de uvas.

Posso referir-me a alguns termos técnicos relativos ao cultivo e gestão natural de uma vinha, que recolhi da minha pesquisa para esta apresentação.

De imediato, muitos de nós nos encontramos em desvantagem, pois nosso conhecimento sobre o assunto é limitado ou inexistente.

Então, vamos primeiro tentar entender as palavras de Isaías na perspectiva de um empresário que tem um negócio bem organizado. No entanto, apesar do investimento significativo na infraestrutura da vinha, o viticultor descobre que toda a vinha foi adulterada.

Muitos empresários e empresários passaram por várias calamidades em seus empreendimentos; mas uma coisa sempre se destacará … eles geralmente sabem o motivo ou a causa de suas falhas

No entanto, Deus infere através das declarações de Isaías que Ele está exigindo julgamento e responsabilidade dos homens de Judá e dos habitantes de Jerusalém. Deus Todo-Poderoso está defendendo a inocência dos céus, na medida em que Ele fez tudo o que se esperava Dele. Deus conhece exatamente a causa raiz da contaminação da colheita.

Mas Ele quer que os homens de Judá e o povo de Jerusalém aceitem a responsabilidade por seu fracasso e não tragam descrédito ao Nome do Deus Todo-Poderoso.

Ele está declarando Seu julgamento sobre Sua vinha.

Paulo tem o cuidado de lembrar seu filho Timóteo sobre a SACROSSANTIDADE de todas as escrituras.

2 Timóteo 3:16-17 Toda a Escritura é inspirada por Deus e útil para o ensino, para a repreensão, para a correção e para a instrução na justiça, para que o homem de Deus seja apto e plenamente preparado para toda boa obra.

O povo de Deus é referido como um “bolo não virado” tendo sua cultura e doutrina contaminadas por influências estrangeiras pagãs e idólatras.

Oseias 7:8-10 “Efraim mistura-se com as nações; Efraim é um bolo que não foi virado.
Estrangeiros sugam sua força, mas ele não o percebe. A cinza espalha-se pelo seu cabelo, mas ele nem repara. A arrogância de Israel testifica contra ele, mas, apesar de tudo isso, ele não se volta para o Senhor, para o seu Deus, e não o busca.

Uma vinha saudável sabe acessar a plenitude e a totalidade da Sua Palavra. A falha em fazer isso pelo povo de Deus atrairá a metáfora do povo de Deus sendo um “bolo não virado”. É saudável nos familiarizarmos com os julgamentos espirituais de Deus. Encontraremos uma litania abrangente de julgamentos e acusações espirituais contra o povo de Deus, especialmente contra seus líderes, anciãos, governantes, reis e sacerdotes, quando lemos livros como Amós, Miqueias, Malaquias, Ezequiel e Jeremias, entre outros.

Quando Deus declara pela boca de Seu profeta estas palavras:

Isaías 5:4 O que mais poderia ter sido feito à minha vinha que eu não tenha feito nela? Por que então, quando eu esperava que produzisse boas uvas, ela produziu uvas bravas?

Deus está descarregando sua frustração e exasperação com o fracasso do povo de Deus em discernir a importância crítica de estar sóbrio e vigilante em todos os momentos para frustrar as obras do adversário do povo de Deus que é ativado quando o povo de Deus está dormindo.

O JULGAMENTO SOBRE A VINHA DE DEUS

Isaías 5:5-6 Pois, eu lhes digo o que vou fazer com a minha vinha: Derrubarei sua cerca para que ela seja tranformada em pasto; derrubarei o seu muro para que seja pisoteada. Farei dela um terreno baldio; não será podada nem capinada, espinheiros e ervas daninhas crescerão nela. Também ordenarei às nuvens que não derramem chuva sobre ela”.

Somos gratos que, juntamente com Seus julgamentos espirituais, a graça do Senhor é acessível para a restauração do povo de Deus.

A mesma boca de Ezequiel que declarou terríveis juízos sobre o povo de Deus também declarou sobre eles:

Ezequiel 37:12-14 Por isso profetize e diga-lhes: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: Ó meu povo, vou abrir os seus túmulos e fazê-los sair; trarei vocês de volta à terra de Israel. E, quando eu abrir os seus túmulos e os fizer sair, vocês, meu povo, saberão que eu sou o Senhor. Porei o meu Espírito em vocês, e vocês viverão, e eu os estabelecerei em sua própria terra. Então vocês saberão que eu, o Senhor, falei, e o fiz seus companheiros, palavra do Senhor’ “.

O desafio para o povo de Deus é suportar a severidade do teste. Seria uma fase traumática e sombria, mesmo que a Presença de Deus esteja conosco. Lembre-se de que a longanimidade é um fruto do Espírito.

Havia essa escuridão que cobria a terra, mesmo quando Jesus foi testado e crucificado. Sua ressurreição demonstrou a verdade e fidelidade de Seu Pai.

Lucas 23:44-46 Já era quase meio dia, e trevas cobriram toda a terra até às três horas da tarde; o sol deixara de brilhar. E o véu do santuário rasgou-se ao meio. Jesus bradou em alta voz: “Pai, nas tuas mãos entrego o meu espírito”. Tendo dito isso, expirou.

Paulo suportou o teste.

Paulo escreve aos crentes em Corinto declarando o fardo do ministério apostólico…

1 Coríntios 4:9-13 Porque me parece que Deus nos colocou a nós, os apóstolos, em último lugar, como condenados à morte. Temo-nos tornado um espetáculo para o mundo, tanto diante de anjos como de homens. Nós somos loucos por causa de Cristo, mas vocês são sensatos em Cristo! Nós somos fracos, mas vocês são fortes! Vocês são respeitados, mas nós somos desprezados! Até agora estamos passando fome, sede e necessidade de roupas, estamos sendo tratados brutalmente, não temos residência certa e trabalhamos arduamente com nossas próprias mãos. Quando somos amaldiçoados, abençoamos; quando perseguidos, suportamos; quando caluniados, respondemos amavelmente. Até agora nos tornamos a escória da terra, o lixo do mundo.

Então, voltemos às razões da colheita profanada.

A razão para o fracasso do vinhedo foi simplesmente a supervisão complacente do viticultor. O líder (homem definido) de uma igreja local ou família de Deus é o “tipo” de viticultor. Jesus também nos informa…

João 15:1 “Eu sou a videira verdadeira, e meu Pai é o agricultor.

Jesus estabelece o padrão do odre Pai/Filho como modelo de gestão da vinha.

A Palavra de Deus é a semente em nossa mão do viticultor. Este é o seu maior recurso. A semente não é visível, porque é semeada abaixo do solo.

Embora se possa obter terras férteis; livre de todas as pedras e todos os outros impedimentos para uma colheita de qualidade; embora se possa construir uma magnífica torre de vigia em seu meio; embora se possa encomendar e instalar um magnífico lagar – antecipando uma colheita de alta qualidade digna do investimento de capital…

Pode-se facilmente esquecer a importância crítica de proteger a semente.

Apesar de todo o trabalho duro que está sendo feito, como é que a colheita é de uvas bravas.

As uvas bravas às quais as escrituras se referem particularmente não são comestíveis e altamente tóxicas… elas não têm valor.

Esta é uma COLHEITA CONTAMINADA.

Deus está exigindo arbitragem – Juiz entre mim e Minha vinha. Esta parece ser uma questão consistente que é levantada nas escrituras. Esta não é uma questão isolada.

O próprio Jesus ensina sobre o assunto na Parábola do Trigo e do Joio

O que era um mistério no Antigo Testamento é decodificado por Jesus em Sua parábola.

Esta situação é semelhante ao relato de Isaías

Mateus 13:27-28 “Os servos do dono do campo dirigiram-se a ele e disseram: ‘O senhor não semeou boa semente em seu campo? Então, de onde veio o joio? ’ ” ‘Um inimigo fez isso’, respondeu ele. “Os servos lhe perguntaram: ‘O senhor quer que vamos tirá-lo? ’

Onde os viticultores do tempo de Isaías erraram e como é que os líderes do povo de Deus, a vinha atual, com todo o nosso conhecimento, revelação e sabedoria continuam a produzir uvas bravas?

A revelação da verdade está no uso da torre de vigia

A torre de vigia foi usada principalmente durante a época da colheita. Era quando os agricultores reuniam os produtos e os armazenavam no porão da Torre. Suas famílias também viveriam na Torre durante o Tempo da Colheita. Todo o foco e expectativa estavam na época da Colheita.

A colheita é um símbolo de “Sucot”

Sucot também é conhecida como a Festa das Cabanas, a Festa dos Tabernáculos e a Festa da Colheita que foi ordenada por Deus no Monte Sinai. Nossa visão para a reunião de crentes na cidade foi inspirada por Sucot…

A realidade bíblica é que o Corpo de Cristo na cidade, em todas as denominações e grupos, não poderia constituir uma vinha de acordo com as expectativas bíblicas.

Isto deve-se a uma única razão… não podemos plantar uma vinha com 20 tipos diferentes de sementes. Estaremos sempre reclamando de uma colheita contaminada de uvas bravas.

É minha perspectiva muito pessoal, que a Igreja da Cidade deve ser vista como um agricultor veria “Uma Cooperativa Agrícola”

Onde os agricultores se reúnem para discutir seus desafios comuns, seus produtos, sua força coletiva no comércio que lhes daria uma voz mais forte no mercado, compartilhamento de várias habilidades e tecnologias para o benefício comum de todos, sua responsabilidade com as lutas sociais, apresentando maior emprego oportunidades etc”. A Cooperativa é capaz de fazer tudo isso sem desprivilegiar o viticultor, independentemente do tamanho do vinhedo. A Cooperativa representa o bem estar de TODOS os vinhedos da cidade.

O lucro não é o objetivo principal; o objetivo principal é servir.

O que mais o Senhor poderia ter feito?

Deixe-me qualificar o princípio de “Sucot” que apliquei aqui lendo as palavras de Davi em seu salmo, onde ele lamenta a condição espiritual da vinha de Deus…

Salmos 80:8-15 Trouxeste uma videira do Egito; Você expulsou as nações e a plantou. (Fala sobre remover as pedras e todos os outros impedimentos) É tolice semear as pedras. A remoção das pedras não é negociável 9 Você preparou lugar para ela, e fez com que ela criasse raízes profundas, e encheu a terra. 10 Os montes foram cobertos com a sua sombra, e os cedros fortes com os seus ramos. 11 Ela estendeu seus ramos até o mar, e seus ramos até o rio. 12 Por que derrubaste as suas cercas, para que todos os que passam pelo caminho colham o seu fruto? 13 O javali do bosque a arranca, e a fera do campo a devora. 14 Volta, nós te rogamos, ó Deus dos exércitos; Olha do céu e vê, e visita esta videira 15 e a vinha que a tua destra plantou, e o ramo que fortaleceste para ti.

Sucot representa a reunião das vinhas. Eles se reúnem em memória da bondade de Deus, celebrando e dando graças ao Senhor da colheita. O viticultor deve sempre lembrar que é Deus quem faz todas as coisas crescerem.

Não pode haver Sucot sem a colheita Não pode haver colheita sem uma vinha Não pode haver vinha sem a semente (Palavra de Deus).

Recebemos sementes como recebemos aqueles que nos são enviados; aqueles que são portadores e mensageiros da Palavra do Senhor.

Jeremias 1:9 Então o Senhor estendeu a mão e tocou na minha boca, e o Senhor me disse: “Eis que ponho as minhas palavras na tua boca.

FOCO IMPRECISO – É possível que estejamos tão focados na Colheita e na Festa dos Tabernáculos que podemos perder uma revelação crítica que é responsável pela contaminação de toda a colheita.

REVELAÇÃO DO USO DA TORRE – Ao invés de colocar vigias para vigiar apenas durante a Vindima, os viticultores precisam dobrar a segurança durante e após a semeadura da semente até que a Vindima seja entregue com segurança ao lagar.

O segredo é proteger a semente O maior recurso é a semente Sem semente não há colheita de qualidade

Uma torre desguarnecida durante a “estação de plantio” é a janela aberta que o adversário usou para se esgueirar à noite quando o viticultor está dormindo.

Quando o homem estabelecido e os líderes reconhecem que fizeram todo o trabalho duro. Eles removeram todas as pedras e outros impedimentos. Eles lavraram o campo. Eles semearam a semente (Palavra de Deus). O inimigo introduz uma semente alternativa no mesmo campo sabendo que Deus fará todas as coisas crescerem, inclusive o joio. Isso acontece quando os líderes de Deus estão dormindo.

Esta é a razão pela qual Deus queria que os homens de Judá e os habitantes de Jerusalém julgassem entre Ele (o Eterno Vinhateiro) e Sua amada vinha (Seu povo).

A tarefa mais importante do montador ou do viticultor é proteger a SEMENTE. Proteja a doutrina que nos é confiada. Existem mais de 10.000 variedades de uvas. O vinho misturado atrai muitos crentes imersos em uma cultura pós-moderna.

Não coloquemos a culpa em Deus quando dormimos depois de semear uma boa semente.

Our understanding of the word “blaspheme” will demand a study both the original Hebrew and Greek words. All Hebrew and Greek definitions extracted from Complete Word Study Bible (Strongs)

Hebrew word “nā’aṣ” A verb meaning to revile, to scorn, to reject. It is related to nāṣaṣ, meaning to scorn or to blaspheme. This word often refers to rejecting the counsel of a wise person.

gāḏap̱: A verb meaning to revile, to blaspheme. It describes the conscious verbal abuse of a person or God (Numbers 15:30; Isaiah 37:6; Ezekiel 20:27). Punishment for this sin was possible death or at least being cut off from the community of God’s people.

Greek Word “blasphemia” vilification; the act of defaming or speaking ill of someone or something to hurt the reputation or smite with reports or words, speak evil of, slander, “to insult” “to make inferior”, to speak with impious irreverence

Who does blasphemy apply to? The word “blaspheme” applies to God and sacred things.

Sacred – Both qadosh (Hebrew) and Hagios (Greek) are similar in meaning. They mean consecrated, holy, set apart and separate

God’s people are called to be consecrated, set apart and separate

Leviticus 20:26 And you shall be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.

The camp of Israel is sacred (Deuteronomy 23:14)

Deuteronomy 23:14 For the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and give your enemies over to you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that He may see no unclean thing among you, and turn away from you.

The chambers of the priests are sacred

Ezekiel 42:13 Then he said to me, “The north chambers and the south chambers, which are opposite the separating courtyard, are the holy chambers where the priests who approach the LORD shall eat the most holy offerings. There they shall lay the most holy offerings—the grain offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering—for the place is holy. 14 When the priests enter them, they shall not go out of the holy chamber into the outer court; but there they shall leave their garments in which they minister, for they are holy. They shall put on other garments; then they may approach that which is for the people.”

The people of God are sacred

Exodus 19:6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation

Jesus, the Son of God in whom the Holy Spirit dwells

In the book of Mark Chapter 3 we find multitude accusing Jesus of being insane. The next verse the scribes accuse Jesus of demon possession. Jesus talks to them about the inability of a divided house to stand, or a Kingdom that is divided to stand. Jesus did not appear to be perturbed by the things people would say about Him, but He refused to be silent when men in their natural understanding began to blaspheme the Holy Spirit who is integral to the Godhead.

Mark 3:29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”— 30 because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

Jesus, the Son of God was blasphemed whilst dying on the Cross for humanity

Mark 15:29 And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying, “Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, 30 save Yourself, and come down from the cross!”

The rejection of sound doctrine is Blasphemy. We cannot separate the Lord from the Word. Jesus is the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us

1 Timothy 1:18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, 20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

1 Timothy 6:1 Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed. 2 And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren, but rather serve them because those who are benefited are believers and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.

Oppressing, dishonouring and “lording over” the poor and disadvantaged believer is tantamount to blaspheming the name of our Lord

James 2:5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? 7 Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?

Humiliating the servants of the Most High God is equal to blaspheming God

2 Kings 19:5 So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah. 6 And Isaiah said to them, “Thus you shall say to your master, ‘Thus says the LORD: “Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. 7 Surely I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.”

Another Greek Word for blasphemy….. blasphemeo – to speak impiously (wickedly; without reverence to God or contempt for His authority).

This word means to use speech to tear down another person’s honor, value, due-respect, and to injure another’s reputation.

THE FATHER/SON DOCTRINE IS INSPIRED AND EXTRACTED FROM THE FUNCTIONS WITHIN HOLY TRINITY

This model of leadership was extracted directly from the Divine pattern of leadership as expressed in the Holy Trinity which has been adopted by a large number of churches, especially within an apostolic culture. Violating this doctrine is in fact blaspheming the Triune Godhead; not the leadership of the church.

We have established the truth that violations against sound doctrine is regarded as blasphemy.

Jesus’ reference for oneness is THE HOLY TRINITY (John 17:21)

There is no scope within the Godhead for external invasion or intrusion with the intent to dismantle the Godhead. This truth needs to also be visible in the representative model of leadership within the Church.

For those of us who have adopted this leadership model will consider it BLASPHEMY against the Most High God when leaders attempt to undermine and bring into disrepute the integrity of the father/son wineskin wherever it is accurately represented.

The goal of the Father/Son model of leadership is to reveal the Divine pattern of the perfect relationship between the Eternal Abba Father, Christ Jesus the Son and The Holy Spirit.

The model is not intended to be an oppressive instrument to keep sons in a state of enslavement; it is the preferred practical system of management and edification of the Human resource on the earth. We teach spiritual sonship without neglecting to teach Divine Sonship as well.

THE CITY CHURCH VISION This is a platform that witnesses the convergence of various leadership models including the father/son model. The challenge for all leaders is to build the spirit of oneness without bringing into disrepute, undermining or discrediting the wineskin.

SONS ARE ABLE TO OUTGROW THEIR FATHER

The outcome of any form of learning is GROWTH IN KNOWLEDGE. So yes, sons are able to grow way beyond their fathers in their knowledge, revelation, discernment and other areas. The outcome of a high work ethic will bring its rewards. However, there is a important caution. God has a real problem when sons, having grown and excelled, dishonour their fathers

Remember Jacob’s prophetic word concerning Reuben …….. Genesis 49:3 My might and the beginning of my strength, The excellency of dignity and the excellency of power. 4 Unstable as water, you shall not excel, Because you went up to your father’s bed; Then you defiled it— He went up to my couch.

Although Reuben demonstrated excellence of dignity and power, he dishonoured his father Jacob by defiling his bed.

God holds the same view regarding the growth of His people. God delights in our prosperity, but not at the expense of forgetting Him.

Hosea 8:14 “For Israel has forgotten his Maker, And has built temples; Judah also has multiplied fortified cities; But I will send fire upon his cities, And it shall devour his palaces.”

Hosea 9:1 Do not rejoice, O Israel, with joy like other peoples, For you have played the harlot against your God. You have made love for hire on every threshing floor.

We need to compare the events surrounding the Babylonian exile to parallel behavioural patterns in this present season even as we emerge from our national Covid exile

This Covid exile has had substantial collateral consequences that have emerged out of apostasy, a global falling away and disenchantment from a faith that demands the service and worship of the Triune God who is One.

This was the reason the Lord permitted the exile of His people to Babylon.

God’s people had brazenly and unashamedly embraced the worship of pagan gods and goddesses, creating a hybrid, polytheistic culture that abandoned the worship of the One True God

It was not surprising that the Lord allowed the northern tribes to be taken captive by the Assyrians

In the south, although a few of the kings, like Hezekiah and Josiah had tried valiantly to restore the culture of God’s people around the worship of the one True God and His Word, the overwhelming tide of resistance to the demands of God by His people eventually led God to allow the Babylonians to take them captive

It is incredibly clear that the successful spiritual Leadership of the people of God cannot be measured by the number of people who assemble or gather at church.

God had to encourage His prophet Samuel with these words…………

1 Samuel 8: 7 And the LORD said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. 8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day—with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you also.

Leaders must be reassured of this reality. If congregants are despising and rejecting the Word of God in the mouth of their leader, who has been called and sent by God to them, then that congregation has is in fact rejected God and His sovereign rule over their lives.

Even Jesus experienced a massive “falling away” when the multitude abandoned Him because of His demands for a covenantal union with Him (eat My Body, drink My blood).

The majority of believers globally are manifesting symptoms of ……. Covenantal Failure

This is the reason God sends His people into exile and captivity. Failure in covenants will send us into places of dryness and barrenness

When we study the treatment of God’s people in exile, we will discover that they were not subject to severe physical beatings at the hands of their captors. On the contrary they were allowed to organise themselves in their worship, maintain their identity as a people. God’s servant Moses revealed the mind of God to His people

Deuteronomy 4:23 Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the LORD your God has forbidden you. 24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. 25 “When you beget children and grandchildren and have grown old in the land, and act corruptly and make a carved image in the form of anything, and do evil in the sight of the LORD your God to provoke Him to anger, 26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you will soon utterly perish from the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess; you will not prolong your days in it, but will be utterly destroyed. 27 And the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the LORD will drive you. 28 And there you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.

It is counterproductive in our spiritual journey to provoke the jealousy of God. The one thing that never fails to attract the wrath and judgement of God is covenantal failure. God makes this clear when He includes the absolute prohibition of the practice of idolatry in the Commandments

Deuteronomy 4: 27 And the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the LORD will drive you. 28 And there you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell

The Lord will not be slack to teach His people the lessons that they need to learn. The Lord has observed the apostasy of His people.

Matthew 15:7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: 8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. 9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”

Clearly the Lord has noted the ritualistic, religious worship where the hearts of believers are far from God; so God would send His people into exile to discipline them.

The people of God needed to reset their affections towards the Lord of the Temple, the One who is greater than the Temple. God knows how to discipline His people whom He loves. Just read Psalm 137

A characteristic feature of Babylonian captivity is when the purpose of our singing and music becomes a performance to entertain the congregants

Psalms 137:3 For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song, And those who plundered us requested mirth, Saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”

Our songs are holy and sacred. During times of distress, the lifting up of our hands represent a sacrificial offering of praise and worship of an Almighty God.

As we remember the exile, we remember the lesson God taught His people. It is so easy to miss the lesson and to adopt the spirit of melancholy and lamentation that is imparted in Psalms 137.

As we enter a “post exile season” – we need to reconcile our hearts to God and His words, and return to the culture of God’s people

Jesus makes this statement to the Pharisees who accused Him of violating the Sabbath.

Matthew 12:6 Yet I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple.

All our representative structures, whether it is the local church, family of churches or City Church, are under Divine obligation and scrutiny, both from Heaven and Earth, to manifest the nature of Christ, the Lord of the Temple.

It does not matter to what corner of the universe the Lord has driven His people, His mercy, which is conditional, endures FOREVER.

Deuteronomy 4: 29 But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the LORD your God and obey His voice 31 (for the LORD your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.

When Nehemiah received the devastating news concerning the broken walls of Jerusalem, he immediately prayed “from there” (Deuteronomy 4:29), remembering the word of God to His servant Moses. His prayed a corporate, repentant prayer that interceded for the transgressions of all of God’s people.

Nehemiah 1:8 Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations; 9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’

The Bride of Christ, the Church, needs to prioritise the Bridegroom, the One who is greater than the Temple – The Lord of the Temple

Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The apostle Paul was deeply sorrowful and burdened for his fellow Israelites who had rejected Christ, the One greater than the Temple.

Romans 9:1 I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, 2 that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, 4 who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; 5 of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

Precisamos comparar os eventos que cercam o exílio babilônico com padrões comportamentais paralelos nesta temporada atual, mesmo quando emergimos de nosso exílio nacional de Covid.

Este exílio de Covid teve consequências colaterais substanciais que surgiram da apostasia, uma queda global e desencanto de uma fé que exige o serviço e a adoração do Deus Triúno que é Um.

Esta foi a razão pela qual o Senhor permitiu o exílio de Seu povo para a Babilônia.

O povo de Deus abraçou descaradamente e sem vergonha a adoração de deuses e deusas pagãs, criando uma cultura híbrida e politeísta que abandonou a adoração do Único Deus Verdadeiro.

Não foi surpresa que o Senhor permitiu que as tribos do norte fossem levadas cativas pelos assírios.

No sul, embora alguns dos reis, como Ezequias e Josias, tenham tentado valentemente restaurar a cultura do povo de Deus em torno da adoração ao único Deus Verdadeiro e Sua Palavra, a onda esmagadora de resistência às exigências de Deus por Seu povo  eventualmente levou Deus a permitir que os babilônios os levassem cativos.

É incrivelmente claro que a liderança espiritual bem-sucedida do povo de Deus não pode ser medida pelo número de pessoas que se reúnem ou se reúnem na igreja.

Deus teve que encorajar Seu profeta Samuel com estas palavras…………

1 Samuel 8:7-8 E o SENHOR disse a Samuel: “Atende à voz do povo em tudo o que te disserem;  porque eles não te rejeitaram, mas me rejeitaram, para que eu não reinasse sobre eles.  8 Conforme todas as obras que fizeram desde o dia em que os tirei do Egito até o dia de hoje, com as quais me abandonaram e serviram a outros deuses, assim também fazem a ti.

Os líderes devem ter certeza dessa realidade.  Se os congregados estão desprezando e rejeitando a Palavra de Deus na boca de seu líder, que foi chamado e enviado por Deus para eles, então essa congregação está de fato rejeitando Deus e Seu governo soberano sobre suas vidas.

Até mesmo Jesus experimentou uma enorme “apostasia” quando a multidão O abandonou por causa de Suas exigências de uma união pactual com Ele (comer Meu Corpo, beber Meu sangue).

A maioria dos crentes globalmente estão manifestando sintomas de …….  Falha contratual.

Esta é a razão pela qual Deus envia Seu povo para o exílio e cativeiro.  O fracasso nos convênios nos enviará a lugares de secura e esterilidade.

Quando estudarmos o tratamento do povo de Deus no exílio, descobriremos que eles não foram sujeitos a espancamentos físicos severos nas mãos de seus captores.  Pelo contrário, eles foram autorizados a se organizar em seu culto, manter sua identidade como povo.  O servo de Deus Moisés revelou a mente de Deus ao Seu povo.

Deuteronômio 4:23-28 Cuidai-vos de que não vos esqueçais da aliança do Senhor vosso Deus, que fez convosco, e não façais para vós uma imagem de escultura em forma de alguma coisa que o Senhor vosso Deus vos proibiu.  24 Pois o Senhor teu Deus é um fogo consumidor, um Deus zeloso.  25 “Quando você gerar filhos e netos e envelhecer na terra, e se corromper e fizer uma imagem esculpida em forma de alguma coisa, e fizer o mal aos olhos do Senhor, seu Deus, para o provocar à ira, 26 eu chamo  céu e terra para testemunhar hoje contra você, que em breve você perecerá totalmente da terra que você atravessa o Jordão para possuir;  você não prolongará seus dias nela, mas será totalmente destruído.  27 E o SENHOR vos espalhará entre os povos, e ficareis poucos em número entre as nações para onde o SENHOR vos conduzir.  28 E ali servireis a deuses, obra de mãos de homens, madeira e pedra, que não vêem, nem ouvem, nem comem, nem cheiram.

É contraproducente em nossa jornada espiritual provocar o ciúme de Deus.  A única coisa que nunca deixa de atrair a ira e o julgamento de Deus é o fracasso da aliança.  Deus deixa isso claro quando inclui a proibição absoluta da prática da idolatria nos Mandamentos.

Deuteronômio 4:27-28 E o SENHOR vos espalhará entre os povos, e ficareis poucos em número entre as nações para onde o SENHOR vos conduzir.  28 E ali servireis a deuses, obra de mãos de homens, madeira e pedra, que não vêem, nem ouvem, nem comem, nem cheiram.

O Senhor não hesitará em ensinar a Seu povo as lições que eles precisam aprender.  O Senhor observou a apostasia de Seu povo.

Mateus 15:7-9 Hipócritas!  Bem profetizou Isaías a seu respeito, dizendo: 8 ‘Este povo se aproxima de mim com a boca e me honra com os lábios, mas o seu coração está longe de mim.  9 E em vão me adoram, ensinando doutrinas que são preceitos de homens.’”

Claramente o Senhor notou a adoração ritualística e religiosa onde os corações dos crentes estão longe de Deus;  para que Deus enviasse Seu povo ao exílio para discipliná-los.

O povo de Deus precisava redefinir suas afeições para com o Senhor do Templo, Aquele que é maior que o Templo.  Deus sabe como disciplinar Seu povo a quem Ele ama. Basta ler o Salmo 137.

Uma característica do cativeiro babilônico é quando o propósito de nosso canto e música se torna uma performance para entreter os congregados.

Salmos 137:3 Pois ali os que nos levaram cativos nos pediram um cântico, e os que nos saquearam pediram alegria, dizendo: Cantai-nos um dos cânticos de Sião!

Nossas canções são sagradas. Em tempos de aflição, levantar nossas mãos representa uma oferta sacrificial de louvor e adoração a um Deus Todo-Poderoso.

Ao lembrarmos do exílio, lembramos a lição que Deus ensinou ao Seu povo.  É tão fácil perder a lição e adotar o espírito de melancolia e lamentação que é transmitido nos Salmos 137.

À medida que entramos em uma “estação pós-exílio” – precisamos reconciliar nossos corações com Deus e Suas palavras e retornar à cultura do povo de Deus

Jesus faz esta declaração aos fariseus que o acusaram de violar o sábado.

Mateus 12:6 Mas eu vos digo que neste lugar há Alguém maior do que o templo.

Todas as nossas estruturas representativas, seja a igreja local, família de igrejas ou Igreja da Cidade, estão sob a obrigação e escrutínio Divino, tanto do Céu como da Terra, para manifestar a natureza de Cristo, o Senhor do Templo.

Não importa para que canto do universo o Senhor tenha conduzido Seu povo, Sua misericórdia, que é condicional, dura PARA SEMPRE.

Deuteronômio 4:29-31 Mas dali você buscará o Senhor, seu Deus, e você o encontrará se o buscar de todo o seu coração e de toda a sua alma.  30 Quando você estiver angustiado, e todas essas coisas vierem sobre você nos últimos dias, quando você se voltar para o Senhor seu Deus e obedecer à sua voz 31 (porque o Senhor seu Deus é um Deus misericordioso), ele não o abandonará nem  vos destrua, nem vos esqueçais da aliança de vossos pais, que lhes jurou.

Quando Neemias recebeu a notícia devastadora sobre os muros quebrados de Jerusalém, ele imediatamente orou “dali” (Deuteronômio 4:29), lembrando-se da palavra de Deus a Seu servo Moisés.  Ele fez uma oração corporativa e arrependida que intercedeu pelas transgressões de todo o povo de Deus.

Neemias 1:8-9 Lembra-te, peço-te, da palavra que ordenaste a Moisés, teu servo, dizendo: Se fores infiel, espalhar-te-ei entre as nações;  9 mas se vocês voltarem para mim e guardarem os meus mandamentos e os cumprirem, ainda que alguns de vocês tenham sido lançados até os confins dos céus, eu os ajuntarei de lá e os trarei para o lugar que escolhi como  uma morada para o meu nome.’

A Noiva de Cristo, a Igreja, precisa priorizar o Noivo, Aquele que é maior que o Templo – O Senhor do Templo

Romanos 8:37-39 Mas em todas essas coisas somos mais que vencedores por meio daquele que nos amou.  38 Pois estou certo de que nem a morte nem a vida, nem os anjos, nem os principados, nem as potestades, nem o presente nem o porvir, 39 nem a altura nem a profundidade, nem qualquer outra criatura nos poderá separar do amor de Deus, que  está em Cristo Jesus nosso Senhor.

O apóstolo Paulo estava profundamente triste e sobrecarregado por seus companheiros israelitas que haviam rejeitado a Cristo, Aquele que é maior que o Templo.

Romans 9:1-5 Digo a verdade em Cristo, não minto, testificando-me também a minha consciência no Espírito Santo, 2 que tenho grande tristeza e contínua tristeza no meu coração. 3 Pois eu gostaria de ser amaldiçoado por Cristo por meus irmãos, meus compatriotas segundo a carne, 4 que são israelitas, aos quais pertencem a adoção, a glória, as alianças, a ordenação da lei, o serviço de Deus , e as promessas; 5 dos quais são os pais e de quem, segundo a carne, veio Cristo, que é sobre todos, o Deus eternamente bendito. Love (Jesus) enters the Temple

Matthew 21:12 Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of thieves. 14 Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant 16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?”

When Jesus, the embodiment of Agape Love, entered the Temple there must have been a mixed reaction. Clearly “agape love” is perceived differently according to the eye of the beholder.

The money changers, the chief priests, scribes and those who sold doves would not perceive Jesus as the gift from the Eternal Father, the personification of the love of the Father to the earth. Their corrupt operating systems defiled the Temple. Jesus labelled the Temple of His Father as a “den of thieves”. Jesus’ entrance into the Temple signalled an end to their practices. The religious leadership was indignant. Agape love does not tolerate or rejoice in evil; it rejoices in the truth.

1 Corinthians 13:6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

The doves (symbol of the Holy Spirit) would have recognised Jesus as the One who would set them free from their captivity within the Temple environment. Those who were passionate about prayers would have been greatly encouraged by the words of Jesus. Little children who were singing : “Hosanna to the Son of David!” may have been encouraged. The blind and the lame may have left the Temple rejoicing because they witnessed the “Agape Love of God” in the person of Jesus healing them.

Here is the point : Jesus is perceived differently by the various clusters within the greater Temple environment. But the mouth of babes, in the innocence of their praise, will instinctively recognise Jesus, as the Agape Love of God.

Comentário sobre o diálogo sobre o Amor

1 João 4:17-19 Dessa forma o amor está aperfeiçoado entre nós, para que no dia do juízo tenhamos confiança, porque neste mundo somos como ele. No amor não há medo; pelo contrário o perfeito amor expulsa o medo, porque o medo supõe castigo. Aquele que tem medo não está aperfeiçoado no amor. Nós amamos porque ele nos amou primeiro.

Amor (Jesus) entra no Templo

Mateus 21:12-16 Jesus entrou no templo e expulsou todos os que ali estavam comprando e vendendo. Derrubou as mesas dos cambistas e as cadeiras dos que vendiam pombas, e lhes disse: “Está escrito: ‘A minha casa será chamada casa de oração’; mas vocês estão fazendo dela um ‘covil de ladrões’”. Os cegos e os mancos aproximaram-se dele no templo, e ele os curou. Mas quando os chefes dos sacerdotes e os mestres da lei viram as coisas maravilhosas que Jesus fazia e as crianças gritando no templo: “Hosana ao Filho de Davi”, ficaram indignados, e lhe perguntaram: “Não estás ouvindo o que estas crianças estão dizendo? ” Respondeu Jesus: “Sim, vocês nunca leram: ‘dos lábios das crianças e dos recém-nascidos suscitaste louvor’? “

As pombas (símbolo do Espírito Santo) teriam reconhecido Jesus como Aquele que os libertaria de seu cativeiro dentro do ambiente do Templo. Aqueles que eram apaixonados por orações teriam sido muito encorajados pelas palavras de Jesus. Filhinhos que cantavam: “Hosana ao Filho de Davi!” pode ter sido incentivado. Os cegos e os coxos podem ter saído do Templo regozijando-se porque testemunharam o “Amor Ágape de Deus” na pessoa de Jesus curando-os.

Aqui está o ponto: Jesus é percebido de forma diferente pelos vários grupos dentro do ambiente do Templo maior. Mas a boca dos pequeninos, na inocência do seu louvor, reconhecerá instintivamente Jesus, como o Amor Ágape de Deus.

The Achaemenid Empire is probably the greatest demonstration of dominion that the world has ever known. It is my noble intent to present The Achaemenid Empire alongside the rulership of King Solomon and exposing the vast j between The Achaemenid Empire which is an exact representation of the world (Babylon being the capital) and the governance of the nation of Israel under King Solomon (representation of the Kingdom of God)

The events in the Book of Esther took place during the reign of King Ahasuerus, the ruling monarch of the Achaemenid Empire.

Esther 1:1 Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus (this was the Ahasuerus who reigned over one hundred and twenty-seven provinces, from India to Ethiopia), 2 in those days when King Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the citadel

At the time of the reign of King Ahasuerus, the Achaemenid Empire stretched from Europe’s Balkans Peninsula across northern and central Greece, Egypt and Ethiopia in Africa, and most of the East including India. It was the world’s first great superpower.

As we can imagine it compromised people from different nations, different languages, religions and cultures. A multi cultural empire with a diverse worship culture.

The scriptures declare that King Ahasuerus reigned over 127 provinces or regions; each region had its own satrap/governor.

King Ahasuerus achieved what his father King Darius could never do – he conquered Greece.

Greece is a symbol of earthly wisdom, prosperity; everything connected to the earth or the natural.

Esther 1:3 that in the third year of his reign he made a feast for all his officials and servants—the powers of Persia and Media, the nobles, and the princes of the provinces being before him— 4 when he showed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the splendor of his excellent majesty for many days, one hundred and eighty days in all.

The during of this feast was 6 months that included on its guest list the 127 governors, nobles and other people of influence.

It was not strange for kings to host lavish banquets as this presented them the opportunity to impress their guests with “the riches of his glorious kingdom and the splendour of his excellent majesty”.

This was a pompous, unashamedly ostentatious display of wealth. This is the culture of the Achaemenian dynasty.

Let us now examine the governing style of another king – King Solomon. The wisdom of God is clearly visible in the ways of King Solomon.

1 Kings 10:1 Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to test him with hard questions. 2 She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart. 3 So Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing so difficult for the king that he could not explain it to her. 4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, 5 the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the LORD, there was no more spirit in her. 6 Then she said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom. 7 However I did not believe the words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard. 8 Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom! 9 Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you, setting you on the throne of Israel! Because the LORD has loved Israel forever, therefore He made you king, to do justice and righteousness.”

The fame of the wisdom of Solomon was connected to the name of the Lord (Verse1), exactly like his father David. David achieved his victories in the name of the Lord.

The Queen of Sheba represents the culture of the Achaemenid Empire (The kingdom of Sheba is in south western Arabia).

She attempts to impress the “King over Israel – God’s people) by arriving with a very great retinue, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; she has not sufficiently researched Solomon, God’s king.

Ezekiel 7:19 ‘They will throw their silver into the streets, And their gold will be like refuse; Their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD; They will not satisfy their souls, Nor fill their stomachs, Because it became their stumbling block of iniquity.

Solomon did not take her on a tour of the palace. She witnessed the wisdom of God with her own eyes, through observation.

Where the Achaemenian style of governance is to impress, the excellence of applied wisdom in the Kingdom is through observation.

Solomon’s standard of excellence was a witness to His God. Witnessing the wisdom of God is not about presenting our material goods and possessions. This will make us no different from the Achaemenian.

Solomon’s style of leadership caused the unsaved queen to declare:

9 Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you, setting you on the throne of Israel! Because the LORD has loved Israel forever, therefore He made you king, to do justice and righteousness.”

Let us also learn an important from this :

Let the grace and the applied wisdom of God witness the majesty of the Lord our God.

The Discovery of the Remnant

Esther 3:2 And all the king’s servants who were within the king’s gate bowed and paid homage to Haman, for so the king had commanded concerning him. But Mordecai would not bow or pay homage. 3 Then the king’s servants who were within the king’s gate said to Mordecai, “Why do you transgress the king’s command?”

There will come a time in our lives where we are asked to bow before something or someone, to pay homage and to prostrate ourselves before Achaemenian altars that violate the believer’s fundamental belief system. Truth is not determined by the number of people who have been seduced to worship. Be like Mordecai who resolved in his heart to refuse to bow.

Believers are being tested in this area daily, where the things of this world that are demanding the believer’s adulation and worship. This is a violation of our covenant with Christ.

Esther 3:8 Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from all other people’s, and they do not keep the king’s laws. Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain. 9 If it pleases the king, let a decree be written that they be destroyed, and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those who do the work, to bring it into the king’s treasuries.” 10 So the king took his signet ring from his hand and gave it to Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews. 11 And the king said to Haman, “The money and the people are given to you, to do with them as seems good to you.”

Haman discovered the presence of a remnant within the king’s gate. Haman’s report to the king further disclosed the existence of a remnant of God’s people scattered throughout the empire, in all the provinces, like treasure hidden in the field.

In a population of millions of people, in a diverse, multicultural empire, hidden among them are a unique group of people; the remnant of the people of God.

The report of Haman declared in Verse 8 : “There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from all other people’s, and they do not keep the king’s laws”

A peculiar people like no other whose laws are different; their culture and their ways are different; they are monotheistic in their worship and beliefs.

Haman suggested genocide, because the “remnant of God’s people” were not profitable in respect of maintaining a sense of unity among the inhabitants of the Empire.

This is the challenge that believers experience everywhere in the world. Prostrate or else.

But there is a certain people ………… hidden in the midst of every gathering, every church, every city, every nation. Their laws are different. Praise God.

O Aquemênida

O Império Aquemênida é provavelmente a maior demonstração de domínio que o mundo já conheceu. É minha nobre intenção apresentar O Império Aquemênida ao lado do governo do Rei Salomão e expor as vastas diferenças entre O Império Aquemênida, que é uma representação exata do mundo (Babilônia sendo a capital) e o governo da nação de Israel sob o Rei Salomão (representação do Reino de Deus).

Os eventos no Livro de Ester ocorreram durante o reinado do rei Assuero (Xerxes), o monarca governante do Império Aquemênida.

(Ester 1:1-2) Aconteceu nos dias de Assuero (este foi o Assuero que reinou sobre cento e vinte e sete províncias, desde a Índia até a Etiópia), naqueles dias em que o rei Assuero estava sentado no trono do seu reino , que estava em Shushan a cidadela

Na época do reinado do rei Assuero, o Império Aquemênida se estendia da Península dos Balcãs, na Europa, pelo norte e centro da Grécia, Egito e Etiópia na África e a maior parte do Oriente, incluindo a Índia. Foi a primeira grande superpotência do mundo.

Como podemos imaginar, comprometeu pessoas de diferentes nações, diferentes idiomas, religiões e culturas. Um império multicultural com uma cultura de adoração diversificada.

As escrituras declaram que o rei Assuero reinou sobre 127 províncias ou regiões; cada região tinha seu próprio sátrapa/governador.

O rei Assuero conseguiu o que seu pai, o rei Dario, nunca conseguiu – conquistou a Grécia.

A Grécia é um símbolo de sabedoria terrena, prosperidade; tudo ligado à terra ou ao natural.

(Ester 1:3-4) que no terceiro ano do seu reinado fez um banquete para todos os seus oficiais e servos, os poderes da Pérsia e da Média, os nobres e os príncipes das províncias antes dele, quando mostrou as riquezas de seu glorioso reino e o esplendor de sua excelente majestade por muitos dias, cento e oitenta dias ao todo.

A duração desta festa foi de 6 meses que incluiu na sua lista de convidados os 127 governadores, nobres e outras pessoas de influência.

Não era estranho que os reis organizassem banquetes luxuosos, pois isso lhes dava a oportunidade de impressionar seus convidados com “as riquezas de seu glorioso reino e o esplendor de sua excelente majestade”.

Esta foi uma exibição pomposa e descaradamente ostensiva de riqueza. Esta é a cultura da dinastia aquemênida.

Examinemos agora o estilo de governo de outro rei – o rei Salomão. A sabedoria de Deus é claramente visível nos caminhos do rei Salomão.

(1 Reis 10:1-9) Quando a rainha de Sabá ouviu falar da fama de Salomão a respeito do nome do Senhor, veio prová-lo com perguntas difíceis. Então ela disse ao rei: “Foi um relato verdadeiro que ouvi em minha própria terra sobre suas palavras e sua sabedoria. No entanto, não acreditei nas palavras até que vim e vi com meus próprios olhos; e de fato a metade não me foi contada. Sua sabedoria e prosperidade excedem a fama de que ouvi falar. Felizes são os teus homens e felizes são estes teus servos, que estão continuamente diante de ti e ouvem a tua sabedoria! Bendito seja o Senhor teu Deus, que se agradou de ti e te pôs no trono de Israel! Porque o Senhor amou Israel desde sempre, por isso te constituiu rei, para praticares a justiça e a retidão”.

A fama da sabedoria de Salomão estava ligada ao nome do Senhor (versículo 1), exatamente como seu pai Davi. Davi alcançou suas vitórias em nome do Senhor.

A Rainha de Sabá representa a cultura do Império Aquemênida (o reino de Sabá fica no sudoeste da Arábia).

Ela tenta impressionar o “Rei de Israel – povo de Deus) chegando com uma comitiva muito grande, com camelos que traziam especiarias, muito ouro e pedras preciosas; ela não pesquisou suficientemente Salomão, o rei de Deus.

(Ezequiel 7:19) ‘Lançarão a sua prata nas ruas, e o seu ouro será como refugo; A sua prata e o seu ouro não os poderá livrar no dia da ira do Senhor; Eles não fartarão suas almas, nem encherão seus estômagos, porque isso se tornou o tropeço da iniquidade.

Salomão não a levou para um passeio pelo palácio. Ela testemunhou a sabedoria de Deus com seus próprios olhos, através da observação.

Onde o estilo de governo aquemênida deve impressionar, a excelência da sabedoria aplicada no Reino é através da observação.

O padrão de excelência de Salomão era um testemunho de Seu Deus. Testemunhar a sabedoria de Deus não é apresentar nossos bens e posses materiais. Isso não nos fará diferentes dos aquemênidos.

O estilo de liderança de Salomão fez com que a rainha não salva declarasse:

(1 Reis 10:9) Bendito seja o Senhor teu Deus, que se agradou de ti e te pôs no trono de Israel! Porque o Senhor amou Israel desde sempre, por isso te constituiu rei, para praticares a justiça e a retidão”.

Vamos também aprender um importante com isso:

Que a graça e a sabedoria aplicada de Deus testemunhem a majestade do Senhor nosso Deus.

A descoberta do remanescente

(Ester 3:2-3) E todos os servos do rei que estavam dentro da porta do rei se curvaram e prestaram homenagem a Hamã, pois assim o rei havia ordenado a respeito dele. Mas Mardoqueu não se curvou nem prestou homenagem. Então os servos do rei que estavam dentro da porta do rei disseram a Mardoqueu: “Por que você transgride a ordem do rei?”

Chegará um momento em nossas vidas em que somos solicitados a nos curvar diante de algo ou alguém, prestar homenagem e nos prostrar diante de altares aquemênidas que violam o sistema de crenças fundamental do cristão. A verdade não é determinada pelo número de pessoas que foram seduzidas a adorar. Seja como Mardoqueu, que decidiu em seu coração se recusar a se curvar.

Os cristãos estão sendo testados nesta área diariamente, onde as coisas deste mundo estão exigindo a adulação e adoração do cristão. Isso é uma violação da nossa aliança com Cristo.

(Ester 3:8-11) Então disse Hamã ao rei Assuero: Há um povo disperso e disperso entre o povo em todas as províncias do teu reino; suas leis são diferentes das de todas as outras pessoas, e eles não guardam as leis do rei. Então o rei tirou da mão o anel do sinete e o deu a Hamã, filho de Hamedata, o agagita, inimigo dos judeus. E o rei disse a Hamã: “O dinheiro e o povo te são dados, para fazeres com eles o que te parecer bem”.

Hamã descobriu a presença de um remanescente dentro do portão do rei. O relatório de Hamã ao rei revelou ainda a existência de um remanescente do povo de Deus espalhado por todo o império, em todas as províncias, como um tesouro escondido no campo.

Em uma população de milhões de pessoas, em um império diverso e multicultural, escondido entre eles está um grupo único de pessoas; o remanescente do povo de Deus.

O relato de Hamã declara no versículo 8: “Há um povo disperso e disperso entre o povo em todas as províncias do teu reino; suas leis são diferentes das de todas as outras pessoas, e eles não guardam as leis do rei”.

Um povo peculiar como nenhum outro cujas leis são diferentes; sua cultura e seus modos são diferentes; eles são monoteístas em sua adoração e crenças.

Hamã sugeriu o genocídio, porque o “remanescente do povo de Deus” não era lucrativo para manter um senso de unidade entre os habitantes do Império.

Este é o desafio que os cristãos experimentam em todo o mundo. Prostrado ou então.

Mas há um certo povo ………… escondido no meio de cada reunião, cada igreja, cada cidade, cada nação. Suas leis são diferentes. Louve a Deus.

In any environment or sphere that we, as redeemed believers, find ourselves, we will be evaluated by a sceptical, religious and Pharasaical community who will use the standard established by Christ who is regarded as a True and Faithful witness; not only by the declaration of our words, but more importantly by the spirit of Christ that we impart into any environment that we enter.

Moses refused to engage Pharaoh unless the Presence of God went with him. The Presence of God in our lives is the consequence of the believer finding grace in the sight of God. The spirit of God that believers carry permeates every place our feet shall tread. This witnesses the spiritual reality that God lives in and among His people.

The credibility of the image we present is enhanced by the accuracy of the representation. This is where most of our frustrations are experienced; this is the place where expectations rise or fall. We are living in a time of great apostasy. I honestly believe that this is largely due to the lockdown where there has been an absence of resident carriers of grace. Sadly this has resulted in an unprecedented wave of chaos, anarchy and lawlessness. This new development demands a unique brand of decisive leadership and governance.

Every action and deed that we are involved in, must be measured against the pattern established by the ultimate standard, Jesus, the Son of God who is the embodiment of ABSOLUTE PERFECTION

The scriptures refer to Jesus as the “True and Faithful witness”. We will study this morning the words of the “resurrected” Lord; a victorious Jesus who appeared to His disciples. Everything that the Eternal Father said He would do was done; none of His words fell to the ground.

Luke 1:37 (NIV) For no word from God will ever fail.”

Believers who have had their own experiences walking through the valley of the shadow of death, now they bring their confidence to their witnessing, fearing no evil, because they have seen the mighty hand of God giving them victory over death; the fear and the sting of death is gone. The resurrection of Jesus is a witness to the Faithfulness of the enduring Word and Promise of the Father to all generations. Even though there may have been momentary lapses in His journey, like when Jesus asked “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”This should not be interpreted as weakness, but rather as a trait of His humanity. He is the “True and Faithful” witness and is the perfect pattern for all believers.

Let us refer to the words of the resurrected Jesus, after He died, He was resurrected and He appeared before His disciples and He spoke with them ……

Luke 24:44 Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. 46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

The death and resurrection of the Son validates the supernatural ability and credibility of the Father. This is central to our witnessing. In whatever area, that we have experienced His deliverance, it is the work of God in us. Our deliverance does not validate us; it validates God.

Witnessing for Christ does not include a presentation of all our earthly goods and our trophies and material acquisitions. We believe that God delights in the prosperity of His servants and that He desires that we prosper in all things and be in good health, just as our souls prosper. However prosperity does not necessarily mean that we know Jesus – on the contrary, people from other faiths are more prosperous than the most believers. We should not include “material and financial wealth” in our sales pitch for witnessing

It is the presentation of an overcoming life, constantly experiencing the power of His resurrection while sharing in His sufferings, ruling in the midst of our enemies.

A witness for Christ does not serve two masters.

Fathers teaching their sons about tithes, offering and first fruits is not a reflection of their love of money; it is a reflection of their love of doctrine and the Word of God.

The objective of our witnessing to individuals, groups and even to the inhabitants of cities is to present to them …… “The excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus”

That they may know Him – that they may experience the POWER of His resurrection during their darkest moments. Many believers are intimidated by darkness; even leaders are intimidated by darkness. Remember the Lord is not intimidated by darkness. David declares ……

Psalms 139:12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

We cannot witness about the One that we have not personally encountered either through a spiritual visitation or through His Word

Jesus goes on to speak to the disciples, after His resurrection and to open up their understanding…..

Luke 24: 47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And you are witnesses of these things. 49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

The Lord gives His disciples specific instructions. Repentance and remission of sins ought to be preached in the name of the Lord to all nations beginning in Jerusalem, which is the location of the Temple.

The mandate to go to Jerusalem is not to destroy the Temple, but to teach Repentance and Remission of Sins. Wait for Divine enablement and empowerment that will be released through the visitation of the Holy Spirit. Preach ” Repentance and Remission”of sins, not just remission of sins.

From this we gather that there is a “pathway to forgiveness and reconciliation”. A hyper grace culture demands forgiveness without repentance.

When we consider the noble work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in our own country, it had three clear areas of focus : Human Rights Violations (presentation of gross and brutal abuses). Amnesty ( for perpetrators for full disclosure of their roles). Reparations and Rehabilitation (Restitution)

The overarching Intent of the Commission was to combat impunity and recreate a culture of accountability. (Facts extracted from SA History Online)

This leadership model finds its inspiration from the scriptures when we examine the reconciliation between Jacob and Esau, Zaccheus and Jesus, the Exodus 22 legislations, Nehemiah’s reparation order for the restoration of property,vineyards and olive groves to their rightful owners, Jesus’ Matthew 18 protocols and other examples. Restitution serves to assist the “offended person” to bury his own hatchet.

Believers must hearken to the voices that God would use in times of great apostasy and lawlessness. One such voice was the prophet Jeremiah who declared the word from God :

Jeremiah 3:22 “Return, you backsliding children, And I will heal your backslidings.” “Indeed we do come to You, For You are the LORD our God.

Jeremiah 4:1 “If you will return, O Israel,” says the LORD, “Return to Me; And if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, Then you shall not be moved. 2 And you shall swear, ‘The LORD lives,’ In truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; The nations shall bless themselves in Him, And in Him they shall glory.”

Believers are asked to “put away” their idolatrous practices (abominations) and return to God. They must swear “The Lord lives”. Sounds like Mt Carmel all over again. The abomination that will never fail to incur the wrath and the judgement of God is IDOLATRY. Our witnessing must present the RESURRECTED LORD. And as His witnesses He must me made visible through our witness

Em qualquer ambiente ou esfera em que nós, como crentes redimidos, nos encontremos, seremos avaliados por uma comunidade cética, religiosa e farsaica que usará o padrão estabelecido por Cristo que é considerado uma testemunha Verdadeira e Fiel; não apenas pela declaração de nossas palavras, mas, mais importante, pelo espírito de Cristo que transmitimos a qualquer ambiente em que entramos.

Moisés se recusou a enfrentar Faraó a menos que a Presença de Deus fosse com ele. A Presença de Deus em nossas vidas é a consequência do crente encontrar graça aos olhos de Deus. O espírito de Deus que os crentes carregam permeia todo lugar que nossos pés pisarem. Isso testemunha a realidade espiritual que Deus vive em e entre Seu povo.

A credibilidade da imagem que apresentamos é reforçada pela precisão da representação. É aqui que a maioria de nossas frustrações é vivenciada; este é o lugar onde as expectativas aumentam ou diminuem. Estamos vivendo em uma época de grande apostasia. Sinceramente, acredito que isso se deve em grande parte ao bloqueio, onde houve ausência de portadores de graça residentes. Infelizmente, isso resultou em uma onda sem precedentes de caos, anarquia e ilegalidade. Este novo desenvolvimento exige uma marca única de liderança e governança decisivas.

Cada ação e ação em que estamos envolvidos devem ser medidos contra o padrão estabelecido pelo padrão supremo, Jesus, o Filho de Deus que é a personificação da PERFEIÇÃO ABSOLUTA.

As escrituras referem-se a Jesus como a “testemunha verdadeira e fiel”. Estudaremos esta manhã as palavras do Senhor “ressuscitado”; um Jesus vitorioso que apareceu aos Seus discípulos. Tudo o que o Pai Eterno disse que faria foi feito; nenhuma de Suas palavras caiu por terra.

Os cristãos que tiveram suas próprias experiências andando pelo vale da sombra da morte, agora trazem sua confiança ao seu testemunho, não temendo mal algum, porque viram a poderosa mão de Deus dando-lhes vitória sobre a morte; o medo e o aguilhão da morte se foram. A ressurreição de Jesus é um testemunho da fidelidade da Palavra duradoura e da promessa do Pai a todas as gerações. Mesmo que tenha havido lapsos momentâneos em Sua jornada, como quando Jesus perguntou “Meu Deus, meu Deus, por que me desamparaste?” Isso não deve ser interpretado como fraqueza, mas sim como um traço de sua humanidade. Ele é a testemunha “Verdadeira e Fiel” e é o padrão perfeito para todos os cristãos.

Vamos nos referir às palavras do Jesus ressuscitado, depois que Ele morreu, Ele ressuscitou e Ele apareceu diante de Seus discípulos e Ele falou com eles.

(Lucas 24:44-46) E disse-lhes: “Foi isso que eu lhes falei enquanto ainda estava com vocês: Era necessário que se cumprisse tudo o que a meu respeito estava escrito na Lei de Moisés, nos Profetas e nos Salmos”. Então lhes abriu o entendimento, para que pudessem compreender as Escrituras. E lhes disse: “Está escrito que o Cristo haveria de sofrer e ressuscitar dos mortos no terceiro dia,”

A morte e ressurreição do Filho valida a capacidade sobrenatural e a credibilidade do Pai. Isso é central para o nosso testemunho. Em qualquer área em que experimentamos Sua libertação, é a obra de Deus em nós. Nossa libertação não nos valida; valida Deus.

Testemunhar de Cristo não inclui a apresentação de todos os nossos bens terrenos e nossos troféus e aquisições materiais. Acreditamos que Deus se deleita na prosperidade de Seus servos e que Ele deseja que prosperemos em todas as coisas e tenhamos boa saúde, assim como nossas almas prosperam. No entanto, prosperidade não significa necessariamente que conhecemos Jesus – pelo contrário, pessoas de outras religiões são mais prósperas do que a maioria dos crentes. Não devemos incluir “riqueza material e financeira” em nosso discurso de vendas para testemunhar

É a apresentação de uma vida vitoriosa, experimentando constantemente o poder de Sua ressurreição enquanto compartilhamos de Seus sofrimentos, governando no meio de nossos inimigos.

Uma testemunha de Cristo não serve a dois senhores.

Pais ensinando seus filhos sobre dízimos, ofertas e primícias não são um reflexo de seu amor ao dinheiro; é um reflexo de seu amor pela doutrina e pela Palavra de Deus.

O objetivo de nosso testemunho a indivíduos, grupos e até mesmo aos habitantes das cidades é apresentar a eles …… “A excelência do conhecimento de Cristo Jesus”

Para que O conheçam – para que possam experimentar o PODER de Sua ressurreição durante seus momentos mais sombrios. Muitos crentes são intimidados pela escuridão; até os líderes são intimidados pela escuridão. Lembre-se de que o Senhor não se intimida com as trevas. Davi declara:

(Salmos 139:12) De fato, as trevas não te esconderão, mas a noite resplandece como o dia; A escuridão e a luz são iguais para você.

Não podemos testemunhar sobre Aquele que não encontramos pessoalmente, seja por meio de uma visitação espiritual ou por meio de Sua Palavra.

Jesus continua a falar aos discípulos, depois de Sua ressurreição e a abrir seu entendimento…..

(Lucas 24:47- 49) e que o arrependimento e a remissão dos pecados sejam pregados em seu nome a todas as nações, começando por Jerusalém. E vocês são testemunhas destas coisas. Eis que sobre vós envio a promessa de meu Pai; mas ficai na cidade de Jerusalém até que do alto sejais revestidos de poder”.

O Senhor dá instruções específicas a Seus discípulos. O arrependimento e a remissão dos pecados devem ser pregados em nome do Senhor a todas as nações, começando por Jerusalém, que é o local do Templo.

O mandato para ir a Jerusalém não é destruir o Templo, mas ensinar Arrependimento e Remissão de Pecados. Espere pela capacitação e capacitação divinas que serão liberadas através da visitação do Espírito Santo. Pregue “arrependimento e remissão” de pecados, não apenas remissão de pecados.

Disto deduzimos que existe um “caminho para o perdão e a reconciliação”. Uma cultura de hipergraça exige perdão sem arrependimento.

Os cristãos devem ouvir as vozes que Deus usaria em tempos de grande apostasia e ilegalidade. Uma dessas vozes foi o profeta Jeremias que declarou a palavra de Deus:

(Jeremias 3:22) “Voltem, filhos apóstatas, e eu sararei as vossas apostasias.” “Na verdade, viemos a ti, porque tu és o Senhor nosso Deus.

(Jeremias 4:1-2) “Se você voltar, ó Israel”, diz o Senhor, “volta para mim; E se você tirar suas abominações da minha vista, então você não será abalado. E jurarás: ‘O Senhor vive’, em verdade, em juízo e em justiça; As nações se abençoarão nele, e nele se gloriarão”.

Os cristçaos são convidados a “deixar de lado” suas práticas idólatras (abominações) e retornar a Deus. Eles devem jurar “O Senhor vive”. Soa como Monte Carmelo tudo de novo. A abominação que nunca deixará de incorrer na ira e no julgamento de Deus é a IDOLATRIA. Nosso testemunho deve apresentar o SENHOR RESSUSCITADO. E como Suas testemunhas Ele deve me tornar visível através de nosso testemunho.

I would like to share my thoughts about the importance of allowing our grace and gifts to function and operate in during our most challenging circumstances.

Every individual has a gift or talent that has the potential to be a solution to another person’s crisis.

Proverbs 18:16 A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.

Our gifts have an inherent ability to create room and space for us. We will be searched out for our gifts and grace in an environment where grace has become a rare, precious commodity. When exercised responsibly our gifts give Glory and praise to God

John describes Christ as an immeasurable resource of grace and truth; it is from this unquantifiable repository that grace is supernaturally transacted in varying measures with believers.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Lamentations 3:22 Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

The Word “consumed” evolves from the Greek word tāmam …..which means to be complete, to finish, to conclude; of bringing closure; the completing of a building project ; the exhausting of resources; the utter destruction of something ; and the fulfilling of an established period of time

We remember the economic crisis during the time of Joseph in Egypt that resulted in a severe famine. Because of the astute leadership grace of Joseph, total disaster was avoided. I would like to use Joseph as a point of reference this morning in revealing the room that Joseph created by using his gift to serve others from the place of his incarceration.2

Genesis 39:20 Then Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison. 21 But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. 23 The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper.

Joseph was given the responsibility to oversee the other prisoners; Joseph earnest the trust of the Chief Warden to work unsupervised because it was discerned that the Lord was with Joseph.

Remember that Joseph was experiencing his own personal battles; he had valid reasons to be aggrieved; he was the victim of a false accusation; from being in charge of Potiphar’s household Joseph now found himself in prison. First it was his brothers who abandoned him in a pit now he finds himself in prison. Both instances he had done nothing wrong.

False accusations can have serious negative consequences. There is resentment, frustration, confusion, anger and discord involved when an individual knows that he or she was wrongfully accused. It affects a person’s psychological health; relationships with others; negative attitude towards the justice system

Yet none of these characteristic symptoms of betrayal are evidenced in the life of Joseph. It is his father Jacob who reveals the source of Joseph’s indomitable spirit.

Genesis 49:23 The archers have bitterly grieved him, Shot at him and hated him. 24 But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob 25 By the God of your father who will help you, And by the Almighty who will bless you With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that lies beneath, Blessings of the breasts and of the womb. 26 The blessings of your father Have excelled the blessings of my ancestors, Up to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills. They shall be on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.

Here is the secret of Joseph’s mental, physical and spiritual strength. His arms were made strong by Almighty God It is God who helps Joseph and blesses him. Jacob prophesied that various blessings will be on the head of Joseph

The scriptures record that Joseph served the butler and the baker when they were imprisoned by interpreting their dreams. Joseph refused to allow his personal sufferings to inhibit the flow of grace.

Genesis 40:8 And they said to him, “We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.” So Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please.” Joseph exercises his gift responsibly by declaring God to be the revealer of dreams and mysteries. Even if we are in chains,we ought not to stop exercising our gifts. It will make room for us.

The apostle Paul wrote some of the most impactful, immortal verses in scripture from dungeons in a prison.

Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Let nothing prevent our grace and gifts to operate. Observe how God uses Joseph’s gift to create room for him by bringing him before Pharaoh. In the course of time Pharaoh has a dream. The magicians and wise men of Egypt are unable to interpret the dream of Pharaoh. The chief butler informed Pharaoh about the ability of Joseph to interpret dreams.

Genesis 41:12 Now there was a young Hebrew man with us there, a servant of the captain of the guard. And we told him, and he interpreted our dreams for us; to each man he interpreted according to his own dream.

One moment Joseph was in prison. The next moment he was appointed as second in charge to Pharaoh. God used Joseph’s gift to bring him to this place of favour. Joseph’s brothers were after the wrong thing. They thought it was the coat of many colors. It was not …. it was the favour and Presence of God in Joseph’s life

Genesis 41:16 So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

Joseph was able to interpret the dream of Pharaoh as well as give him all the administrative logistics and strategies required inorder to survive the famine. We know that this strategy catapulted Egypt to being the major supplier of grain to the nations during the period of famine

Genesis 41:34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years. 35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 Then that food shall be as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which shall be in the land of Egypt, that the land may not perish during the famine.”

The scriptures declared that “the money failed”. This speaks of an economic collapse. Joseph was gifted in wisdom and discernment. It was Pharaoh who identified the skills of Joseph when he declared “There is none as discerning as wise as you”. Sometimes, recognition comes from the most unexpected places, like Egypt.

Horus is the Egyptian deity and the national god of Egypt. Horus is the god of wealth, power, strength, universe, and prosperity. Horus is believed to be the supreme power of the universe. Yet Horus could not provide the solution for the impending economic collapse (the money failed). God’s instrument of deliverance was Joseph, who needed to be called out of prison. like Micaiah.

Cada indivíduo tem um dom ou talento com potencial para ser uma solução para a crise de outra pessoa.

Provérbios 18:16 O presente de um homem abre espaço para ele, E o traz diante de grandes homens.

Nossos dons têm a capacidade inerente de criar espaço e espaço para nós.  Seremos procurados por nossos dons e graça em um ambiente onde a graça se tornou uma mercadoria rara e preciosa.  Quando exercidos de forma responsável, nossos dons dão glória e louvor a Deus

João descreve Cristo como um recurso incomensurável de graça e verdade;  é a partir desse repositório não quantificável que a graça é sobrenaturalmente transacionada em medidas variadas com os crentes.

João 1:14 E o Verbo se fez carne e habitou entre nós, e vimos Sua glória, a glória como do unigênito do Pai, cheio de graça e verdade.

Lamentações 3: 22-23 Pelas misericórdias do Senhor não somos consumidos, Porque Sua compaixão não falha. Eles são novos a cada manhã; Grande é a Sua fidelidade.

A palavra “consumido” evolui da palavra grega tāmam … que significa ser completo, terminar, concluir; de encerrar; a conclusão de um projeto de construção; o esgotamento de recursos; a destruição total de algo; e o cumprimento de um prazo estabelecido.

Lembramos a crise econômica durante o tempo de José no Egito, que resultou em uma grande fome.  Por causa da graça de liderança astuta de José, o desastre total foi evitado.  Eu gostaria de usar José como um ponto de referência esta manhã, revelando a sala que José criou usando seu dom para servir aos outros a partir do local de seu encarceramento.

Gênesis 39:20-23 Então o mestre de José o levou e o colocou na prisão, um lugar onde os prisioneiros do rei eram confinados.  E ele estava lá na prisão. Mas o Senhor estava com José e mostrou-lhe misericórdia, e deu-lhe graça aos olhos do guarda da prisão. E o guarda da prisão confiou nas mãos de José todos os presos que estavam na prisão;  o que quer que eles fizessem lá, era obra dele. O guarda da prisão não olhou para nada que estava sob a autoridade de José, porque o Senhor estava com ele;  e tudo o que ele fez, o Senhor o fez prosperar.

José recebeu a responsabilidade de supervisionar os outros prisioneiros;  José conquistou a confiança do Diretor-chefe para trabalhar sem supervisão, pois foi discernido que o Senhor estava com José.

Lembre-se de que Joseph estava enfrentando suas próprias batalhas pessoais;  ele tinha razões válidas para estar ofendido;  ele foi vítima de uma acusação falsa;  de ser o responsável pela casa de Potifar, José agora se encontrava na prisão.  Primeiro foram seus irmãos que o abandonaram em uma cova agora que ele se encontra na prisão.  Em ambas as ocasiões, ele não fez nada de errado.

Falsas acusações podem ter consequências negativas graves.  Há ressentimento, frustração, confusão, raiva e discórdia quando um indivíduo sabe que foi acusado injustamente.  Afeta a saúde psicológica de uma pessoa;  relacionamentos com outros;  atitude negativa em relação ao sistema de justiça.

No entanto, nenhum desses sintomas característicos de traição são evidenciados na vida de José.  É seu pai Jacó quem revela a fonte do espírito indomável de José.

Gênesis 49:23 Os arqueiros o entristeceram amargamente; atiraram nele e o odiaram. Mas o seu arco permaneceu forte, e os braços das suas mãos foram fortalecidos pelas mãos do Deus Poderoso de Jacó Pelo Deus de teu pai que te ajudará, E pelo Todo Poderoso que te abençoará com as bênçãos do céu  acima, Bênçãos das profundezas que está abaixo, Bênçãos dos seios e do ventre. As bênçãos de teu pai superaram as bênçãos de meus antepassados, até o limite dos montes eternos.  Eles estarão na cabeça de José, e na coroa da cabeça daquele que foi separado de seus irmãos.

Aqui está o segredo da força mental, física e espiritual de José.  Seus braços foram fortalecidos pelo Deus Todo-Poderoso. É Deus quem ajuda José e o abençoa.  Jacó profetizou que várias bênçãos estariam sobre José. As escrituras registram que José serviu ao mordomo e ao padeiro quando eles foram presos por interpretar seus sonhos.  José recusou-se a permitir que seus sofrimentos pessoais inibissem o fluxo da graça.

Gênesis 40: 8 E disseram-lhe: “Cada um de nós teve um sonho, e não há intérprete para o mesmo.”  José então lhes disse: “As interpretações não pertencem a Deus?  Diga-os para mim, por favor. ”

José exerce seu dom de forma responsável, declarando que Deus é o revelador de sonhos e mistérios.  Mesmo que estejamos acorrentados, não devemos parar de exercitar nossos dons.  Isso abrirá espaço para nós.

O apóstolo Paulo escreveu alguns dos versículos mais impactantes e imortais das escrituras nas masmorras de uma prisão.

Filipenses 4:11-13 Não que fale a respeito da necessidade, porque aprendi em qualquer estado em que estou, a estar contente. Eu sei ser humilhado e sei ter abundância.  Em todas as partes e em todas as coisas, aprendi a estar farto e a ter fome, a ter abundância e a sofrer necessidades. Posso todas as coisas naquele que me fortalece.

Que nada impeça nossa graça e dons de operar.  Observe como Deus usa o presente de José para criar espaço para ele, trazendo-o diante do Faraó.  Com o passar do tempo, o Faraó teve um sonho.  Os magos e sábios do Egito são incapazes de interpretar o sonho do Faraó.  O mordomo-chefe informou ao Faraó sobre a capacidade de José de interpretar sonhos.

Gênesis 41:12 Ora, estava ali conosco um jovem hebreu, servo do capitão da guarda.  E nós contamos a ele, e ele interpretou nossos sonhos para nós;  a cada homem ele interpretou de acordo com seu próprio sonho.

Num momento, José estava na prisão.  No momento seguinte, ele foi nomeado segundo encarregado do Faraó.  Deus usou o dom de José para trazê-lo a este lugar de favor.  Os irmãos de José estavam atrás da coisa errada.  Eles pensaram que era o casaco de várias cores.  Não era ….  Foi o favor e a presença de Deus na vida de José

Gênesis 41:16 Então José respondeu a Faraó, dizendo: “Não está em mim;  Deus dará a Faraó uma resposta de paz. ”

José foi capaz de interpretar o sonho do Faraó, bem como dar-lhe toda a logística administrativa e estratégias necessárias para sobreviver à fome.  Sabemos que essa estratégia catapultou o Egito para ser o maior fornecedor de grãos para as nações durante o período de fome

Gênesis 41:34-36 Que Faraó faça isso, e que designe oficiais sobre a terra, para coletar um quinto da produção da terra do Egito nos sete anos de fartura. E que eles colham todo o alimento para aqueles anos bons que estão por vir, e armazenem grãos sob a autoridade de Faraó, e que eles guardem alimento nas cidades. Então esse alimento será uma reserva para a terra durante os sete anos de fome que haverá na terra do Egito, para que a terra não pereça durante a fome. ”

As escrituras declaram que “o dinheiro falhou”.  Isso fala de um colapso econômico.  José era dotado de sabedoria e discernimento.  Foi o Faraó quem identificou as habilidades de José ao declarar “Não há ninguém tão perspicaz como você”.  Às vezes, o reconhecimento vem dos lugares mais inesperados, como o Egito.

Hórus é a divindade egípcia e o deus nacional do Egito. Horus é o deus da riqueza, poder, força, universo e prosperidade. Hórus é considerado o poder supremo do universo. Ainda assim, Hórus não conseguiu fornecer a solução para o colapso econômico iminente (o dinheiro falhou). O instrumento de libertação de Deus foi José, que precisava ser chamado para fora da prisão como Micaías.

• They do not despise the one sent by God
• They do not bring chaos, anarchy and disorder into the house of God and the city
• They do not defraud the house of God
• They do not alienate sons from their fathers
• They do not come to create a “church within a church”

These carriers of grace come through the GATE/DOOR carrying grace, with the blessing and knowledge of the spiritual father of the household/family, to train and equip believers so that they come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect (mature) man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. The whole world is waiting to witness this great appearing of the Sons of God. This is the remnant that will reveal the integrity of Christ and they will carry the Ark into the city.
