I would like us to talk about a unique edge that believers have over everyone else; that is access to the voice of God. This is the reason we assemble in this place week after week. To hear what God is saying NOW.

There is a level of intelligence that is under utilised and even despised in the Church of this present era….it is intelligence that is communicated from the heavens … in the form of a proceeding Word; or a specific instruction for our lives.
Spiritual intelligence that is the consequence of spending time with Him; studying His Word and having a vibrant relationship with the Holy Spirit.

We should all desire to come to a place where God can give us specific directions like he did Elijah. Where He would instruct Elijah:
“Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine,
“Go at once to Zarephath
Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus.
Or like He would instruct His prophet Isaiah:
“Go back and tell Hezekiah
These are specific instructions for His servants. I believe that He also has specific instructions for us. As we spend time with Him in an abiding relationship, engaging the Holy Spirit, He will reveal His plans for our lives. We love the commands of God, His statutes, His decrees, the principles that shape us for Kingdom purpose, all His promises. We are constantly challenged and motivated as we read about the great exploits of God’s leaders and His prophets. However, we would also love specific instructions for our lives, without having to seek out a prophet or a diviner. We must develop our relationship with Him to such a place, where we have direct access to His voice.

I would like us to pay some attention to Paul’s writings to the believers in Corinth:

1 Cor 2:6-15
6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

The spirit world and the natural world are two totally different environments. Our greatest frustration in this present day is experienced as we are locked into a losing battle in trying to explain spiritual truths to the natural man. Jesus experienced the same resistance as He tried to explain this truth to Nicodemus:

John 3:6-8
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Recently I shared a prayer point regarding revelation that I have called “classified” information. You may call it “proceeding” truth as well.
The word classified means that which is concealed or carefully guarded.
Here Paul says that there will be revelation released that has been locked away as “classified” to a previous generation of leadership.
It is human nature to resist that which has not been seen or heard before. That which our eyes have not seen; that which our ears have not heard.
We know that we are being persecuted by the natural man who has rendered the things we are now saying as “foolishness” because he wants everything to tie up and make sense to him in accordance to his formative education.
But he needs to know that there is a new order….a new government ….a new King ….who has His own trusted agency to deliver of classified information, the Holy Spirit. God is under no obligation to function in accordance to our limited understanding.

Much of what we say and do as spiritual people would be written off as foolishness.
Our obsession with public approval has cause us to stage manage the blowing of the wind.
The wind is dispatched to blow when and where it wants. We have all experienced an authentic blowing of the wind during some of our services. We did not plan for it. We did not expect such a move. Suddenly, it was upon us.

The Lord has delivered us by His Word, not to remain in any environment that is unworthy to receive us.
For us not to toil forever with the natural man.
There are those who are rendered worthy to receive spiritual intelligence. Those who are destined to receive proceeding truth.
This should be the environment that we should seek. For those of us that travel, we encounter people that cannot get enough of this message; they hang on to every word that we speak.
Peace is a retractible gift. We have the right to recall it.

Matt 10:12-15
12 And when you go into a household, greet it. 13 If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!

Jesus likens the judgement that would befall those who resist our peace efforts to what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. In actual fact He said the devastation would be worse. Spiritual intelligence imparted to us this morning is the same as the one given to Lot: take your household and shift quickly to higher ground before the fire falls.

We are not expected to toil forever in an unworthy, unrelenting, unforgiving, unproductive, abusive environment. Learn to shake the dust off your clothes.
Paul was experiencing a great deal of hostility towards his message in Corinth. The Bible says that the Jews became abusive. Paul shook the dust off his clothes.
Acts 18:9-11
“Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10 For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” 11 So Paul stayed for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God.

Acts 18:9
9 One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision …. An impartation of spiritual intelligence. You are not one man….you are one man amongst many.
HAVE YOU EVER RECEIVED A WORD FROM GOD THAT YOU WERE AFRAID TO SHARE FOR WHATEVER REASON
AND THEN SOMEBODY ELSE SHARES IT ….THEN YOU REALISE THAT GOD HAS MANY VESSELS AT HIS DISPOSAL.
OIL WILL KEEP FLOWING INTO THE VESSELS…. WHATEVER SHAPE OR SIZE.

Spiritual intelligence is communicated in a format that may be foreign to our own systems of presenting truth.
Proceeding truth comes out of the MOUTH OF GOD.
Once again let us agree that God is under no obligation to speak in a way that the people are familiar with.
Consider how Jesus communicated in parables.
In another instance some Greeks came with a seemingly innocent request to see Jesus. A simple yes or No would suffice. Jesus responded in His own way, not bothering about whether His visitors understood the message or not. These were natural men who received a spiritual response.
John 12:23-26
The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. 24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. 25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

All these Greeks wanted was to meet with Him. What Jesus actually told them was that your vessels are not configured to receive spiritual intelligence.
You have to submit to the process of death; and then be born again in the Spirit. Be prepared to lose your ways of doing life….
There are many Greeks and foreigners sitting in our Churches wanting to see Him without knowing Him.

Moses encountered God’s ways of communicating when God gave Moses his first message to deliver to Pharaoh.
The message Moses carried to Pharaoh would have been despised by many believers in this day for its lack of depth, or its presentation.
All Moses’ objections were based on is own understanding about the way people are. His low self esteem. His inability to communicate effectively.
He allowed his knowledge of people’s perceptions to block out an impartation of spiritual intelligence.

Ex 4:12
12 Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”
Ex 4:15
15 Now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do.

This is the level of intelligence we seek. Where God Himself will teach us what to speak. Where proceeding truth is put in our mouth. My daily prayer is “Be with my mouth Lord”.
God told Jeremiah the same thing.
Jer 1:9
9 “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

It makes all the difference to know that we carry a Word that has been placed in our mouth by God. Because He supports His Word with His Presence…His power. His Word is anointed.

To all men and women of God, to all preachers, Jesus declared that His yoke is easy.
How easy ministry is when all you have to do is to carry that which has been entrusted to you. Where you function from this position of rest, not being intimidated by the structures and systems of man; the political correctness that is demanded from the multitude; where we are delivered from the language and the literature of the Chaldeans and simply deliver the message; that which comes from the MOUTH OF GOD.

Do not be embarrassed to say “I am sent me’. You see that which has been placed in your mouth cannot be shaken. There is only one way to check the authenticity of proceeding truth:
THROUGH OBEDIENCE AND DISOBEDIENCE
The authenticity of a Word cannot be established by its presentation; or the way a message may be painstakingly or carefully constructed or by its appeal to the hearer; or the standing ovation at the end or the number of Amens or high 5s…all this means is that you have preached well. It does not necessarily mean that you have delivered that which is in the mind and heart of Christ; some of the greatest messages you will hear are formulated in the laboratory of the human intellect.

A Word from the mouth of God will never be forgotten. Pharaoh never forgot Moses’ message. Ahab never forgot Elijah’s message.
The wife of Jeroboam will never forget the prophet Ahijah’s message.
King Hezekiah will never forget the Isaiah’s message. 15 years to your life. SPECIFIC, CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. Divine intelligence.
The king’s officer in Samaria will never forget Elisha’s message:

2 Kings 7:1
‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ ”

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION. This is not about someone with a back ache being healed ; or a person by the name of John in a crowd of 5000….your need is being addressed right now.
We are talking about intelligence from the throne room of God being communicated to His faithful servants.

An authentic word from the mouth of God changes lives, changes cities, changes nations…. Because it is backed by the power of God.
Study the word God placed in the mouth of Moses to be delivered to Pharaoh:

Ex 9:13-14
Let my people go, so that they may worship me, 14 or this time I will send the full force of my plagues against you and against your officials and your people, so you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.

Ten plagues later, the Word placed in the mouth of Moses came to pass. There is no one like Him in all the earth.

We must observe the expectations of God from His priesthood. If there is any area that we need to exactly represent God, it is in the area of communication.

John 12:49-50
49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

The message we impart has to exactly represent what is in the heart and mind of Christ.
When we speak what the Lord has commanded us to speak, that which as been spoken is incontestable. We don’t have to defend the Word that the Lord has given you to speak. We are servants functioning under orders, wholly supervised by the Holy Spirit. We are simply delivering a package that has been entrusted into our custody.
We are qualified by God on the basis of how we communicate that which He has entrusted us with. Our faithfulness in communicating Divine truth is what establishes our ministries as a sure house. This is the reason our Forum has been kept by Him for all these years as a sure house.
We have proven to Him that we are trustworthy custodians and deliverers of that which resides in His heart and in His mind.

God demonstrated this clearly in His appointment of David. The job description was simple. The qualifications were clear.
The apostle Paul referred to the events leading up to the appointment of David in Antioch, saying:

Acts 13:21-22
21 And afterward they asked for a king; so God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. 22 And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’

God made His position clear even in the case of Eli, whose leadership was found wanting.

1 Sam 2:35
35 Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.

The demand of the priesthood is to do all that is in the heart and mind of God. To communicate exactly what is in the heart and mind of Christ.
Let us see the pattern set before us with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

John 16:12-15
12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

This is the pattern we ought to follow. Speak only that which we hear. The glory for the revelation has to be directed back to its source, the Lord Jesus Christ. This means we now have to change our perception.
We cannot claim ownership or copyright to any thing that we preach. It does not belong to us. It belongs to Him. We are simply the carriers of spiritual intelligence. Glory must be directed to Him. All that is being released from the heart of the Father belongs to Christ.

One of my favorite stories in the Bible is about the prophet Micaiah.
There was a meeting between Jehoshaphat, king of Judah and the King of Israel.
The King of Israel wanted Jehoshaphat’s assistance in overthrowing Ramoth Gilead which was under Syrian control.

1 Kings 22:5
5 And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Please inquire for the word of the LORD today.”

The prophetic company of 400 were summoned and they were complete agreement…they spoke as ONE man.
“Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.”
There is a real danger of us surrounding ourselves with positive, encouraging, agreeing individuals.
This is not spiritual intelligence. This is a Word prepared to put the king in a good mood.

1 Kings 22:7-8
“Is there not still a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of Him?”
You going to die.
1 Kings 22:27
“Put this fellow in prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction, until I come in peace.” ‘

If we are not careful, this is where spiritual intelligence can be relegated to; in prison. The carriers being fed with the bread and water of affliction.

Gen 15:4-6
4 Then the word of the LORD came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir.” 5 He took him outside and said, “Look up at the heavens and count the stars–if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”
6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

There is an elaborate accounting system in the heavens that records all our doings and sayings. It is an account that is either credited and debited depending on whether our activities please or displease God.
Although the promise of God to Abraham was quite incredible and would have really tested most men of God with great faith, Abraham simply believed with childlike faith that which God told him. At this stage Abraham did nothing to manifest his belief; it shows that God was able to discern how Abraham was configured on the inside. I want you to hold on to this revelation because this would significantly change your perception in attracting Divine favour.
God was able to discern straight away that Abraham was serious in his believing. He did not simply think the right thoughts or say the right things like many of us do; he believed in his heart.
This simple act resulted in an immediate credit to his account as RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The balance on this account is a reflection of your seriousness in developing your goodwill with God. In commerce goodwill is an asset that is developed over the lifespan of an entity. This is the most active account during your entire existence on earth. This is one account that is never closed. Even if you are trading with a great deficit, this account will remain open as long as you live.

We spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about our financial affairs.
We ought to experience greater anxiety over the state of our account of RIGHTEOUSNESS, our goodwill or right standing with God. John had the revelation of the White Throne Judgement… which further proves the existence of an elaborate accounting system. This is the final judgement of all humanity….after satan is dealt with and is thrown into the lake of fire.
Then it is judgement day for us.

Rev 20:12
12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

The Bible says that it is the righteous that will not beg for bread. The balance in this account which has your name on it will determine whether you are flourishing or are withering away in this life, for this is the benefit that belongs to the righteous.
We accept fully that the righteous will be persecuted. We must count it a great honour and joy to be persecuted for the sake of righteousness.

Matt 5:10-12
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Every single act, thought, spoken word gets recorded. There are great rewards for those who know how to be still in times of persecution. Scripture instructs to rejoice and be glad.
Every single act or spoken Word or thought will result in either a debit or credit in your account of righteousness. It will affect your goodwill with God.

Some of our accounts may be in deficit. It shows that you have stopped believing God for your breakthrough; your belief will be credited to your account of righteousness.

LET US LOOK AT ANOTHER CASE THAT PROVES THAT THERE ARE REWARDS FOR OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

2 Sam 22:21-25
21 “The LORD has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me. 22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD; I have not done evil by turning from my God.

This particular verse should cause us to sit up straight. We all know what evil is…what the acts of evil are.
Here David tells us that ‘turning from God” is an act of evil.
You may be the most well behaved person; you pay your tithes regularly; you carry yourself well amongst the people….yet the accounting system has recorded you as an EVIL PERSON because you have turned from your God.
I can see it now so clearly. There you are standing before the Great White Throne on your judgement day. You are trying to tell God that you was never an evil doer; maybe they entered someone else’s misdeeds in your account.
Your act of evil is that you turned your heart away from God and you despised His structures on the earth. That attitude is entered as a DEBIT transaction in your account of Righteousness.

23 All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees. 24 I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin. 25 The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in his sight.

Note the words of David’s song after the Lord delivered him from the hand of Saul and all his other enemies.
All the time that David was persecuted, he maintained his integrity, his right standing with God; his goodwill with God; recognising that Saul, although out of favour with God, was anointed to be king….his office had to be respected.
It was the same David who wrote the lyrics for this psalm:

Ps 105:13-15
13 When they went from one nation to another, From one kingdom to another people,
14 He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes,
15 Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.”

Righteousness has a voice. It will speak on your behalf; so you can maintain your integrity. Righteousness before God results in us being confident before men. Look at Jacob negotiating his exit strategy with Laban. Does not want people to think he stole anything. He asks for lambs that are blemished….those that are despised, looked down upon. He wanted to protect his integrity. He knew his righteousness will answer for him.
You can read further and see how God supernaturally added to his spotted and blemished flock.

Gen 30:31-33
31 So he said, “What shall I give you?” And Jacob said, “You shall not give me anything. If you will do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep your flocks: 32 Let me pass through all your flock today, removing from there all the speckled and spotted sheep, and all the brown ones among the lambs, and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and these shall be my wages. 33 So my righteousness will answer for me in time to come, when the subject of my wages comes before you: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the lambs, will be considered stolen, if it is with me.”

We must maintain our integrity at all times. Our faith in an Almighty God to vindicate us…as our righteousness will answer for us. This principle is beyond the comprehension of the simple individual.
Job found himself on the receiving end of some bad counselling from his friends. He had this response:

Job 27:2-6
2 “As God lives, who has taken away my justice, And the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter,
3 As long as my breath is in me, And the breath of God in my nostrils,
4 My lips will not speak wickedness, Nor my tongue utter deceit.
5 Far be it from me that I should say you are right;Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.
6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go; My heart shall not reproach me as long as I live.

Our righteousness will surely be tested by God. Just as God tested the faith of Abraham when He requested Isaac as a sacrifice, God will also test this present righteous company. He checking to see if you will crack under pressure. The fire will be turned up seven times hotter than usual. Daniel and his friends experienced this. They chose to hold on to their integrity.
Not taking one backward step. We have to function as ones who have died at the Cross with the Lord. That we function not as the old creation, but as believers who have experienced a spirit of renewal.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing away of Pastor Krish Govender who served the Lord at CCF International Church in Kloof.
Our condolences go to his wife of 43 years Pastor Pat Govender and their children Julian and Michelle and their daughter in law Eleanor and son in law Paul as well their grandchildren Chelsea and Alexia.
Pastor Krish’s passion was to minister the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ to those who did not know Him. He has touched countless lives during the course of his ministry which was personal evangelism.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

John 16:12-14
12 I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

There is much, in the words of our Lord Jesus, that was not communicated to the disciples; simply because they were not emotionally, spiritually or intellectually mature to deal with proceeding truth….this is “every Word that comes out from the mouth of God”.
This was the Word of God to the Israelites:
Deut 8:3-4
3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.

Jesus resisted the enemy by referring the structures of darkness to the power of proceeding truth.

The Holy Spirit is the courier of classified information; the courier of proceeding truth. This truth is not accessed through the traditional or conventional places of learning. It may not be presented in a language or a format that we are familiar with. It is not concepts that are created in the laboratory of our human intellect; nor is it the product of creative thinking or a vivid imagination. It is spiritually communicated through the Lord’s preferred, accredited, authorized agency of the Holy Ghost.
All we need is therefore to develop a vibrant, sustainable relationship with the Holy Spirit. The believer needs to listen attentively with the spiritual ear to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying.

So, do not reject out of hand that which may offend the natural ear. Rather “save it” in your spirit for further meditation. The leadership of the Holy Spirit in leading us into all truth will ensure that the matter is eventually settled.

If you are a person who loves being inspired by singing, this is a good time to sing
“COME HOLY SPIRIT I NEED THEE”.

Hag 2:6-7
6 “For thus says the LORD of hosts: “Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts.

We remain hopeful that the shakings that the earth is experiencing, both natural and spiritual will cause believers to gather as a corporate man; believers from different doctrinal and theological persuasions will lay aside “foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless” and come to the temple, not the one many believe to be rebuilt in Jerusalem, but the spiritual temple that is manifested as all believers would regularly gather to hear the Word of the Lord to the city.

This is the gathering that God promises to fill with His glory. However, we should be careful to note that believers should be drawn to the “Desire of All Nations”…the King over all kings, the Lord over all lords. We should not fall into error; the Lord of the temple is greater than the temple itself. We gather because we believe His glory will be manifested when we gather in one mind and one accord. Then we will experience His very Presence. That we will hear and receive His voice as spoken through His servants; where in this spiritually charged environment there would be signs and wonders.
The Lord Jesus must become the object of our desire to gather as one man.

Ps 42:1-4
As the deer pants for the water brooks,So pants my soul for You, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.When shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my food day and night,While they continually say to me,”Where is your God?”
4 When I remember these things,I pour out my soul within me.For I used to go with the multitude;I went with them to the house of God,With the voice of joy and praise,With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.

David longed for God; his soul longed for God. Not for the rituals and the ordinances of the temple; but for fellowship with God Himself.
I know many people who miss the fellowship of the brethren when are away for a while. I know others who miss being in His Presence; something some believers miss when they are away from a particular place of worship.
His glory will be evident in His temple

Ps 137:3-6
3 For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song,
And those who plundered us requested mirth,
Saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”
4 How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a foreign land?
5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem,Let my right hand forget its skill!
6 If I do not remember you,Let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth—
If I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy.

The captive Israelites were in mourning as the instruments that gave them so much of joy and comfort in the temple in Zion, now lay by their side; unable to lift the spirit of despair and hopelessness that was upon them.
The situation was that Babylon required a song for the purpose of mere pleasure; for mirth; for entertainment purposes; for laughter.
The integrity of the captive Israelites is demonstrated in this simple question:
“How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land?”

The impartation received in the corporate temple in Zion was able to influence their behaviour on the banks of the rivers of Babylon. Even though they were in captivity the Word of the Lord they had learned in the temple was alive in them.

Sadly the Church at large, in a quest for “professionalism” in ministry, has betrayed it’s loyalty to the corporate temple in Zion; to the teachings of the fathers; the Church has mastered its performance to such an extent that it can render a sound that is acceptable to the masses whilst functioning from the operating manual of Babylon. The temple on the holy hill of Zion lays desolate and forgotten as the Church is wholly focussed on entertaining the multitude.
The Lord is mindful of our ways; of the abdication of the responsibilities of this present day priesthood. His eyes are upon the priesthood that is occupying His house.
Remember the prophetic word to Eli when the Lord declared:

1 Sam 2:35
35 I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his house, and he will minister before my anointed one always.

God is interested in nothing less than taking full ownership of His priesthood. One that simply communicate that which is in His heart and in His mind. Not only to articulate, but also to implement those things that are in His heart and in His mind.
Meditate on these words of the Psalmist:
Ps 119:52-54
52 I remember your ancient laws, O LORD, and I find comfort in them.
53 Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law.
54 Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge.

Let us emit a new sound. One that is fuelled by a passion for the Lord, His Word and His Kingdom.
Anything else is building on sand. It is my prayer that we will construct as wise master builders in 2010 using the architectural designs of the Master Builder, our Lord Jesus Christ.

FASTING AND PRAYER

We will commence our fasting and prayer on Monday 11 January 2010, meeting every morning and evening in the temple. There are many challenges that face the Church and some of these challenges simply will not go away.

Est 3:5-6
5 When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow or pay him homage, Haman was filled with wrath. 6 But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had told him of the people of Mordecai. Instead, Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus–the people of Mordecai.

Est 3:8-13
8 Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from all other people’s, and they do not keep the king’s laws. Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain. 9 If it pleases the king, let a decree be written that they be destroyed, and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those who do the work, to bring it into the king’s treasuries.” 10 So the king took his signet ring from his hand and gave it to Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews. 11 And the king said to Haman, “The money and the people are given to you, to do with them as seems good to you.”
12 Then the king’s scribes were called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and a decree was written according to all that Haman commanded–to the king’s satraps, to the governors who were over each province, to the officials of all people, to every province according to its script, and to every people in their language. In the name of King Ahasuerus it was written, and sealed with the king’s signet ring.

There is a decree that has been written. The spirit of Haman is very much alive this day as it was during Biblical times. The remnant of God is being targeted. Haman will not be satisfied with just one man; he wants to decimate the entire remnant.
The accusation against us is that we are “different from all the other people” because we are guided by another set of laws and decrees.
We will refuse to bow down or pay homage to any demagogue that has set himself up as a god over the children of the Most High God. The systems of this world have wreaked havoc amongst our people. It is time to fight back; not with carnal weapons but by engaging these strongholds in the spirit and by using His Word as our weapon of choice. Haman will hang on the gallows prepared for God’s people.
Are we not in the Kingdom for such a time like this?
This is our time. It is a time to demonstrate boldness and the courage of our convictions.
