Isaiah 54:15 Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake. 16 “Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. 17  No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.

This promise of God, once again, demonstrates the mercy of God that followed the judgement of God. The people of God had endured the judgement of God in the Babylonian exile. God promises restoration to His covenant people; most importantly their dignity and identity as a people of God

REASON FOR THE EXILE IN BABYLON

The people of God, including the leaders of the priests had become apostate, practiced idol worship. They gave their attention to building fortified cities, palaces, temples for idols and fostering a materialistic mentality. They refused to listen to voices of the servants of God who were sent to them; and to make the situation even worse, they formed alliances with pagan nations like Egypt. The conclusion : “Israel had forgotten his Maker”

Hosea 8:14 “For Israel has forgotten his Maker, And has built temples; Judah also has multiplied fortified cities; But I will send fire upon his cities, And it shall devour his palaces.”

Sometimes, the Lord will raise the voices of His servants to remind His people who their Maker is. He is the Lord, the Christ, the husband of His wife the Church. He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. As His representatives we need to constantly reinforce the identity of the people of God. 

Isaiah 54:5 For your Maker is your husband, The LORD of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.

PRESENT DAY APPLICATION

The restoration of the covenantal promises of God to His servants after they have returned from exile demands a RESET in the minds of the people of God, especially His priesthood, His servants

The First and Great Commandment given by Jesus clarifies His zero tolerance for idolatry. The demand is absolute consecration. This is the reason we need the all sufficiency of the grace of the Lord Christ Jesus.

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment.

THE BLACKSMITH AND THE ONE WHO CARRIES THE WEAPON OF DESTRUCTION HAVE BEEN CREATED BY GOD AND THEY ARE SUBMITTED TO HIS AUTHORITY AND HIS COMMANDS

Isaiah 54: 16 “Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy.

Both the blacksmith and the one who uses the weapon are submitted to the instructions of the Lord, their Creator. Recently we have been speaking about the Name of the Lord being our Righteous Tower of Safety, a place of Divine Protection and immunity for the righteous (Psalm 18:10)

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.

He is the Sovereign Lord; He is able to turn back the most ingenious, destructive weapon that has been formed by the blacksmith to cause harm to His righteous servants. The Lord has invested His Divine authority and power in His disciples to condemn every opposing voice of judgement against His covenantal people. The Lord has ensured that weapons created for the destruction of His covenantal people will not prosper. Our righteousness is not self righteousness; it is not created by our own doings; our righteousness is from the Lord Himself. The Lord is our Righteousness and our Peace. THE LORD IS OUR INHERITANCE 

Note : This does not nullify the demand for walking in practical righteousness and sanctifying ourselves daily. This is our desire and our mandate  – to become like Him so that we can reveal His image and represent Him.

No weapon formed against you will prevail!

Isaiah 54: ¹⁵ If anyone attacks you, it will not be my doing; everyone who attacks you will surrender to you.¹⁶ “See, I am the one who created the blacksmith, who blows the coals into a flame and forges a weapon fit for its purpose. And I am the one who created the destroyer to create chaos;¹⁷ no weapon formed against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is the vindication I give of their name,” declares the Lord.

A superficial view of this text indicates supernatural power and protection in our lives. This is not wrong. But we need to understand every aspect of the scripture to understand what the text truly says.

There is not just one protection. It speaks of reaction. Part of verse 17 says that you will refute every tongue that accuses you. I ask: How do we do this?

Our reaction to judgment or criticism must reflect our DNA. The DNA transformed in Christ Jesus. The best way to demonstrate this is to be the opposite of what is expected of us. Instead of reacting aggressively to the same extent as we are attacked, we demonstrate a godly character.

Most people who act this way are used by our opponent, the devil, and his intention is for us to have the same aggressive reaction… The target will always be us.

Ephesians 6:11-12 ¹¹ Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹² For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Our first reaction when faced with these forged weapons should be… Pray for them. So that they may find our Lord and Savior, because they are unaware that they are instruments of the devil and with this we demonstrate that we are instruments of God.

Matthew 7: ¹ “Judge not, that you be not judged. ² For in the same way you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

To truly benefit from Isaiah 54:17, we need to act as Christ wants us to. He is the righteous judge…Jesus fought back against the Devil through the Word. And when He was condemned, He was sacrificed like a lamb…

Living a life in Christ Jesus means that no guilt is found in our lives. And if they do, because sometimes we miss the mark, we ask for forgiveness, are forgiven, and demonstrate it by walking in newness of life.

No weapon formed against you will prevail! This is also a benefit received through faith in Christ Jesus, which comes through a reformed lifestyle, which goes from glory to glory.

The gospel needs to confront us. This discomfort leads us to be better than before (I say in comparison to ourselves, not in comparison to anyone else). person.) If Christ lives in you, your evolution must be constant.

The benefit of this verse is not achieved by what you demonstrate in Christ, but by who you are in Christ. We are not superstitious Christians who repeat a mantra to make things happen. These things are attracted when we begin to carry the aroma of Christ. The good and faithful servant.

We must be serious in our commitment to the Lord! Victory lies in knowing and practicing the word of God, or rather, practicing what we know of the word of God. Because knowing is a constant process.

Hosea 6: ³ Let us know the Lord; let us strive to know him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. 

And God is pleased with your demonstration, even if it is only a little! The quality of this attitude is to LOVE GOD ABOVE ALL THINGS. By demonstrating this love, you will be able to say, “NO WEAPON FORGED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER!”

Open your life completely to God. His plans are infinitely greater than ours….

2 Corinthians 10: ³ For though we live in human society, we do not wage war as men do. ⁴ The weapons we fight with are not human weapons, but are powerful through God for pulling down strongholds.

PRAYER IS A WEAPON…….  WORSHIP IS A WEAPON… THE NAME OF JESUS, NAME ABOVE ALL NAME, IS THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON…

Satan loves to divide places and people. One of the greatest strategies of warfare is: DIVIDE AND CONQUER.

He loves to divide marriages… He loves to divide families… He loves conflict at work… He loves to divide churches…

The stimulus for conflict comes from him. so that we remain divided……. Our reaction is to rise up against this.

Psalm 133: ¹ How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! ² It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, down to the collar of his garments. ³ It is like the dew of Hermon descending on Mount Zion. There the Lord bestows the blessing of life forever. Unity!  Unicity!

“Unity”: the quality of being one or singular, the union and agreement between people or parts, or the principle of measurement used as a reference (such as the number 1 or the meter). It is the characteristic of something that is unique, the cohesion of a group or elements that form a whole. Uniqueness is the quality or fact of being unique, that is, the characteristic that makes something or someone different from all others.

The war is already won in the name of JESUS. As Billy Graham said, “I read the last page of the Bible, everything will be fine.” However, we face daily challenges and battles that must be won by the Word.

Our stance toward these battles will enable us to say: “NO WEAPON FORGED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER!”

Essa promessa de Deus, mais uma vez, demonstra a misericórdia de Deus que se seguiu ao julgamento de Deus. O povo de Deus suportou o julgamento de Deus no exílio babilônico. Deus promete restauração ao Seu povo da aliança; mais importante ainda, sua dignidade e identidade como povo de Deus

MOTIVO DO EXÍLIO EM BABILÔNIA

O povo de Deus, incluindo os líderes dos sacerdotes, tornou-se apóstata, praticava a adoração de ídolos. Eles deram sua atenção à construção de cidades fortificadas, palácios, templos para ídolos e à promoção de uma mentalidade materialista. Eles se recusaram a ouvir as vozes dos servos de Deus que lhes foram enviados; e para piorar ainda mais a situação, eles formaram alianças com nações pagãs como o Egito. A conclusão: “Israel se esqueceu de seu Criador”

Oséias 8:14 “Porque Israel se esqueceu do seu Criador e construiu templos; Judá também multiplicou cidades fortificadas; Mas enviarei fogo sobre as suas cidades, e ele devorará os seus palácios.”

Às vezes, o Senhor levanta a voz de Seus servos para lembrar a Seu povo quem é seu Criador. Ele é o Senhor, o Cristo, o marido de Sua esposa, a Igreja. Ele é o Senhor dos céus e da terra. Como Seus representantes, precisamos reforçar constantemente a identidade do povo de Deus.

Isaías 54:5 Porque o vosso Criador é o vosso marido, o Senhor dos exércitos é o seu nome; E o vosso Redentor é o Santo de Israel; Ele é chamado de Deus de toda a terra.

APLICAÇÃO ATUAL

A restauração das promessas da aliança de Deus aos Seus servos depois que eles voltaram do exílio exige um RESET nas mentes do povo de Deus, especialmente Seu sacerdócio, Seus servos

O Primeiro e Grande Mandamento dado por Jesus esclarece Sua tolerância zero para a idolatria. A exigência é a consagração absoluta. Esta é a razão pela qual precisamos de toda a suficiência da graça do Senhor Cristo Jesus.

Mateus 22:37 Disse-lhe Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração, de toda a tua alma e de todo o teu entendimento. 38 Este é o primeiro e grande mandamento.

O FERREIRO E AQUELE QUE CARREGA A ARMA DE DESTRUIÇÃO FORAM CRIADOS POR DEUS E ESTÃO SUBMETIDOS À SUA AUTORIDADE E AOS SEUS MANDAMENTOS

Isaías 54: 16 “Eis que criei o ferreiro que sopra as brasas no fogo, que produz um instrumento para o seu trabalho; E eu criei o spoiler para destruir.

Tanto o ferreiro quanto aquele que usa a arma são submetidos às instruções do Senhor, seu Criador. Recentemente, temos falado sobre o Nome do Senhor ser nossa Torre Justa de Segurança, um lugar de Proteção Divina e imunidade para os justos (Salmo 18:10)

Isaías 54:17 Nenhuma arma forjada contra ti prosperará, e toda língua que se levantar contra ti em juízo condenarás. Esta é a herança dos servos do Senhor, e a sua justiça vem de mim”, diz o Senhor.

Ele é o Soberano Senhor; Ele é capaz de repelir a arma mais engenhosa e destrutiva que foi formada pelo ferreiro para causar danos a Seus servos justos. O Senhor investiu Sua autoridade e poder divinos em Seus filhos para condenar toda voz oposta de julgamento contra Seu povo pactual. Nota: Isso não anula a exigência de andar em justiça prática e nos santificar diariamente. Este é o nosso desejo e nosso mandato – tornar-nos como Ele para que possamos revelar Sua imagem e representá-Lo.

Nenhuma arma forjada contra você prevalecerá!

Isaías 54: ¹⁵ Se alguém te atacar, não será obra minha; todos os que te atacarem se renderão a ti.¹⁶ “Veja, fui eu quem criou o ferreiro, que transforma as brasas em chamas e forja uma arma adequada para o seu propósito. E fui eu quem criou o destruidor para criar o caos; ¹⁷ Nenhumaarma forjada contra ti prevalecerá, e tu refutarás toda língua que te acusar. Esta é a herança dos servos do Senhor, e esta é a vindicação que dou do seu nome”, declara o Senhor.

Uma visão superficial deste texto indica poder sobrenatural e proteção em nossas vidas. Isso não está errado. Mas precisamos entender todos os aspectos da escritura para entender o que o texto realmente diz.

Não existe apenas uma proteção. Fala de reação. Parte do versículo 17 diz que você refutará toda língua que o acusar. Eu pergunto: Como fazemos isso?

Nossa reação ao julgamento ou crítica deve refletir nosso DNA. O DNA transformado em Cristo Jesus. A melhor maneira de demonstrar isso é ser o oposto do que se espera de nós. Em vez de reagir agressivamente na mesma medida em que somos atacados, demonstramos um caráter piedoso.

A maioria das pessoas que agem dessa maneira são usadas por nosso oponente, o diabo, e sua intenção é que tenhamos a mesma reação agressiva… O alvo sempre seremos nós.

Efésios 6:11-12 ¹¹ Revesti-vos de toda a armadura de Deus, para que possais resistir às ciladas do diabo. ¹² Porque a nossa luta não é contra carne e sangue, mas contra os príncipes, contra as autoridades, contra os poderes deste mundo tenebroso, contra as forças espirituais do mal nas regiões celestiais.

Nossa primeira reação quando confrontados com essas armas forjadas deve ser… Ore por eles. Para que encontrem nosso Senhor e Salvador, porque não sabem que são instrumentos do diabo e com isso demonstramos que somos instrumentos de Deus.

Mateus 7: ¹ “Não julgueis, para que não sejais julgados. ² Pois da mesma forma que julgardes, sereis julgados; e com a medida que usardes, vos será medida.”

Para realmente nos beneficiarmos de Isaías 54:17, precisamos agir como Cristo quer que façamos. Ele é o justo juiz… Jesus lutou contra o Diabo através da Palavra. E quando Ele foi condenado, Ele foi sacrificado como um cordeiro…

Viver uma vida em Cristo Jesus significa que nenhuma culpa é encontrada em nossas vidas. E se o fizerem, porque às vezes erramos o alvo, pedimos perdão, somos perdoados e demonstramos isso caminhando em novidade de vida.

Nenhuma arma forjada contra você prevalecerá! Este também é um benefício recebido pela fé em Cristo Jesus, que vem por meio de um estilo de vida reformado, que vai de glória em glória.

O evangelho precisa nos confrontar. Esse desconforto nos leva a ser melhores do que antes (digo em comparação com nós mesmos, não em comparação com qualquer outra pessoa). pessoa.) Se Cristo vive em você, sua evolução deve ser constante.

Oséias 6: ³ Deixe-nos conhecer o Senhor; esforcemo-nos por conhecê-lo. Tão certo quanto o sol nasce, ele aparecerá; Ele virá até nós como as chuvas de inverno, como as chuvas de primavera que regam a terra.

E Deus está satisfeito com sua demonstração, mesmo que seja apenas um pouco! A qualidade dessa atitude é AMAR A DEUS ACIMA DE TODAS AS COISAS. Ao demonstrar esse amor, você será capaz de dizer: “NENHUMA ARMA FORJADA CONTRA MIM PROSPERARÁ!”

Abra sua vida completamente para Deus. Seus planos são infinitamente maiores do que os nossos.

2 Coríntios 10: ³ Pois, embora vivamos na sociedade humana, não fazemos guerra como os homens. ⁴ As armas com as quais lutamos não são armas humanas, mas são poderosas por meio de Deus para derrubar fortalezas.

A ORAÇÃO É UMA ARMA……. A ADORAÇÃO É UMA ARMA… O NOME DE JESUS, NOME ACIMA DE TODO NOME, É A ARMA MAIS PODEROSA…

Satanás adora dividir lugares e pessoas. Uma das maiores estratégias de guerra é: DIVIDIR E CONQUISTAR.

Ele adora dividir casamentos… Ele adora dividir famílias… Ele adora conflitos no trabalho… Ele adora dividir igrejas…

O estímulo para o conflito vem dele. para que permaneçamos divididos……. Nossa reação é nos levantarmos contra isso.

Salmo 133: ¹ Como é bom e agradável quando os irmãos vivem juntos em unidade! ² É como óleo precioso derramado sobre a cabeça, escorrendo sobre a barba, a barba de Arão, até a gola de suas vestes. ³ É como o orvalho do Hermom descendo sobre o Monte Sião. Lá o Senhor concede a bênção da vida para sempre. 

Unidade! Unicidade!

“Unidade”: a qualidade de ser um ou singular, a união e concordância entre pessoas ou partes, ou o princípio de medida usado como referência (como o número 1 ou o metro). É a característica de algo que é único, a coesão de um grupo ou elementos que formam um todo. Singularidade é a qualidade ou fato de ser único, ou seja, a característica que torna algo ou alguém diferente de todos os outros.

A guerra já está vencida em nome de JESUS. Como Billy Graham disse: “Eu li a última página da Bíblia, tudo ficará bem”. No entanto, enfrentamos diariamente desafios e batalhas que devem ser vencidas pela Palavra.

Nossa postura em relação a essas batalhas nos habilitará a dizer: “NENHUMA ARMA FORJADA CONTRA MIM PROSPERARÁ!”

The vision for discipling nations applies to all believers.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

The great sending of the disciples of the Lord was authorised from the throne of God by Jesus Himself. The purpose of the sending by the Lord is ……

• to make disciples of all the nations
• Baptise them in the Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit
• Teach them all the commands of the Lord

Obedience to these three instructions will keep the disciple in His Presence always as well as being faithful to the apostolic mandate entrusted to the disciple.

The disciples who were taught by Paul at the school of Tyrannus were responsible for taking the Word of the Lord to both Jews and Greeks in all of Asia.

Acts 19:8 And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God. 9 But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. 10 And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

GREEKS WANT TO SEE JESUS

John 12:20 Now there were certain Greeks among those who came up to worship at the feast. 21 Then they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”

The targeted audience for receiving the gospel was wide; it went beyond the Jews to reach the Gentiles, which included the Greeks. The Greeks seeking Jesus is of great prophetic significance. The Greeks  symbolise wisdom, philosophy and human intellect among other things. Now, they have come  to “see Jesus”. Greeks are now, as prophesied, are seeking after Christ, the wisdom of God

1 Corinthians 1:22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

This is what Isaiah prophesied concerning Jesus …….

Isaiah 49:6 Indeed He says, ‘It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”

The Pharisees observed that the “world has gone after Jesus”. This confirms the prophetic Word by Isaiah that Jesus will be a Light to the Gentiles. 

John 12:19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, “You see that you are accomplishing nothing. Look, the world has gone after Him!”

The apostle Paul makes a clear statement declaring that all ethnic, racial, gender, slave nor free and linguistic differences are all overshadowed by a person’s faith in Christ. 

Galatians 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

From this we understand the importance of the sending of disciples into all the nations. 

Abortion of this vision occurs when we have not prioritised witnessing and discipling of believers. The Word of the Lord is the entrustment that the Lord has given to His disciples. 

The disciples are spiritually vitalised and energised when they walk in obedience to the instructions of Jesus to be witnesses outside the local, familiar gathering.

Luke 10:17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Fulfilling the mandate to go and disciple nations revealed not only the Divine authority they carried but also their Divine empowerment. Jesus said that He witnessed satan fall like lightning from heaven. 

Jesus was unable to do many miracles in Nazareth because the people saw Him in the natural, as the carpenter’s son, as a local citizen.

Matthew 13:54 When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? 55 Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? 56 And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?” 57 So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” 58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Jesus declares that the spirit of unbelief and familiarity in his home town hindered the number of miracles done there.

Aborting the Vision 

We are living in a time of a gospel of uncommitted, disobedient, mystical people, and many without commitment to the truth.

Leaders are creating worldly strategies to attract people and swell churches for profit.

They have aborted the principles of Acts 2:42: the breaking of bread, prayer, and fellowship.

They had everything in common; there was love among all, and the Lord added to the Church those who needed to be saved.

A genuine church grows without using far-fetched strategies. It relies solely on Agape Love among its brothers and sisters. Where everyone practices

Obedience, Love, Peace, and Fellowship—these are the virtues of a God-Centered Church, for all these positions are attributes of God and a reflection of His Character.

These are examples of a church that fulfills all stages of gestation, enjoying the Peace and joy of the Lord.

A church that does not abort its vision because it understands the purpose of being faithful until death, for its reward will be the crown of life.

A church that grows in maturity is not easily deceived, is not divided by opinions, is not divided, and is not carried away by spiritual fads. It stands firm because each member knows who they are, to whom they belong, and where they are going.

Isaiah 26:17-18 gives us the example of a woman (church) who has all the symptoms of pregnancy, but at the moment of birth, the result is wind.

A church that goes through all the stages but is neither the salt of the earth nor the light of the world. How can it bring salvation to the earth? By acting this way, it will be aborting the purpose for which God sent His Son: His Death and Resurrection would bring us salvation, freeing us from sin and judgment.

Ezekiel 19:10-14. It tells us about a mother (church) symbolizing a vineyard planted by water that was fruitful and full of branches. Thanks to the abundant waters, its branches were strong and it grew greatly. It attracted attention for its height, but it was furiously knocked down and uprooted by an east wind, stripping its fruit.

We see here an aborted pregnancy.

BUT HOW?

If it was planted by water, many waters. (Symbol of the word of God). Yet it was uprooted by a strong wind.

WHY?  This church preached the word, but its roots were shallow and not rooted in the Rock. CHRIST (Isaiah 5:1-7)

God’s purposes and care for the nation of Israel and its people. He took care to plant the vineyard in a fertile area, cleared the entire land, and selected the best vines. He built a winepress and posted a sentry to watch for possible attacks or pests. So I expected it to yield good grapes, but it only yielded sour grapes. What else could I have done for it that I hadn’t done?

The nation of Israel and its inhabitants, whom He loved, (aborted God’s vision and purposes.)

A lack of righteousness, justice, integrity, and faithfulness brings sadness in the eyes of the Lord.

It’s no different today. Zealous parents who care well for their homes and families are also saddened when their children miscarry.

They abandon their home and family, and then it’s discovered that it was a fake pregnancy.

If true Doctrine (Word) is being ministered, what we need is to obey, live, and preach this Word.

James 1: 22 Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror; 24 And after admiring himself, he goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and continues in it—he is not a forgetful hearer but a zealous doer—he will be blessed in whatever he undertakes.

FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS ALWAYS FRUITFUL. IF A WORD FAILS AND DOES NOT BEAR FRUIT, IT IS NOT THE WORD OF THE LORD.

 A visão de discipular nações se aplica a todos os crentes.

Mateus 28:18 E, aproximando-se Jesus, falou-lhes, dizendo: Foi-me dada toda a autoridade nos céus e na terra. 19 Ide, pois, fazei discípulos de todas as nações, batizando-os em nome do Pai, e do Filho, e do Espírito Santo, 20 ensinando-os a observar todas as coisas que vos tenho mandado; e eis que estou convosco todos os dias, até o fim dos tempos”. Amém.

O grande envio dos discípulos do Senhor foi autorizado do trono de Deus pelo próprio Jesus. O propósito do envio do Senhor é ……

• Para fazer discípulos de todas as nações

• Batize-os em Nome do Pai, do Filho e do Espírito Santo

• Ensine-lhes todos os mandamentos do Senhor

A obediência a essas três instruções manterá o discípulo sempre em Sua Presença, além de ser fiel ao mandato apostólico confiado ao discípulo.

Os discípulos que foram ensinados por Paulo na escola de Tirano foram responsáveis por levar a Palavra do Senhor a judeus e gregos em toda a Ásia.

Atos 19:8 E entrou na sinagoga e falou ousadamente por três meses, arrazoando e persuadindo acerca das coisas do reino de Deus. 9 Mas, quando alguns se endureceram e não creram, mas falaram mal do Caminho diante da multidão, ele se afastou deles e retirou os discípulos, arrazoando todos os dias na escola de Tirano. 10 E isso durou dois anos, de modo que todos os que habitavam na Ásia ouviram a palavra do Senhor Jesus, tanto judeus como gregos.

OS GREGOS QUEREM VER JESUS

 João 12:20 Ora, havia alguns gregos entre os que subiam para adorar na festa. 21 Então foram ter com Filipe, que era de Betsaida da Galiléia, e perguntaram-lhe, dizendo: Senhor, queremos ver Jesus.

O público-alvo para receber o evangelho era amplo; foi além dos judeus para alcançar os gentios, que incluíam os gregos. Os gregos buscando Jesus são de grande significado profético. Os gregos simbolizam sabedoria, filosofia e intelecto humano, entre outras coisas. Agora, eles vieram para “ver Jesus”. Os gregos estão agora, como profetizado, buscando a Cristo, a sabedoria de Deus

1 Coríntios 1:22 Pois os judeus pedem um sinal, e os gregos buscam sabedoria; 23 mas nós pregamos a Cristo crucificado, escândalo para os judeus, e loucura para os gregos, 24 mas para os que são chamados, tanto judeus como gregos, Cristo, poder de Deus e sabedoria de Deus. 25 Porque a loucura de Deus é mais sábia do que os homens, e a fraqueza de Deus é mais forte do que os homens.

Isso é o que Isaías profetizou a respeito de Jesus …….

Isaías 49:6 Na verdade, Ele diz: ‘É muito pequeno que você seja meu servo para levantar as tribos de Jacó e restaurar os preservados de Israel; Eu também te darei como luz aos gentios, para que sejas a minha salvação até os confins da terra.”

Os fariseus observaram que o “mundo foi após Jesus”. Isso confirma a Palavra profética de Isaías de que Jesus será uma Luz para os gentios.

João 12:19 Disseram, pois, os fariseus entre si: Vedes que nada realizais. Veja, o mundo foi atrás dele!”

O apóstolo Paulo faz uma declaração clara declarando que todas as diferenças étnicas, raciais, de gênero, de escravos ou livres e linguísticas são todas ofuscadas pela fé de uma pessoa em Cristo.

Gálatas 3:26 Porque todos vós sois filhos de Deus pela fé em Cristo Jesus. 27 Pois todos quantos fostes batizados em Cristo vos revestistes de Cristo. 28 Não há judeu nem grego, não há escravo nem livre, não há homem nem mulher; pois todos vós sois um em Cristo Jesus.

A partir disso, entendemos a importância do envio de discípulos a todas as nações.

O aborto dessa visão ocorre quando não priorizamos o testemunho e o discipulado dos crentes. A Palavra do Senhor é a entrega que o Senhor deu aos seus discípulos.

Os discípulos são espiritualmente vitalizados e energizados quando caminham em obediência às instruções de Jesus para serem testemunhas fora da reunião local e familiar.

Lucas 10:17 Então os setenta voltaram com alegria, dizendo: “Senhor, até os demônios estão sujeitos a nós em teu nome”. 18 E disse-lhes: Vi Satanás cair do céu como um relâmpago. 19 Eis que vos dou autoridade para pisar serpentes e escorpiões, e sobre todo o poder do inimigo, e nada vos fará mal algum. 20 No entanto, não se alegrem com isso, que os espíritos estão sujeitos a vocês, mas alegrem-se porque seus nomes estão escritos no céu.

Cumprir o mandato de ir e discipular nações revelou não apenas a autoridade divina que carregavam, mas também sua capacitação divina. Jesus disse que testemunhou satanás cair como um relâmpago do céu.

Jesus não pôde fazer muitos milagres em Nazaré porque as pessoas o viam no natural, como filho do carpinteiro, como cidadão local.

Mateus 13:54 E, chegando à sua terra, ensinava-os na sinagoga, de modo que se maravilhavam e diziam: Onde obteve este homem esta sabedoria e estes milagres? 55 Não é este o filho do carpinteiro? Sua mãe não se chama Maria? E Seus irmãos Tiago, José, Simão e Judas? 56 E suas irmãs, não estão todas conosco? Onde então este homem conseguiu todas essas coisas?” 57 E escandalizaram-se dele. Mas Jesus lhes disse: “Um profeta não fica sem honra senão em sua própria terra e em sua própria casa”. 58 Ora, Ele não fez ali muitos milagres por causa da incredulidade deles.

Jesus declara que o espírito de incredulidade e familiaridade em sua cidade natal impediu o número de milagres feitos lá.

 Abortando a visão 

 Estamos vivendo em uma época de um evangelho de pessoas descomprometidas, desobedientes, místicas e muitas sem compromisso com a verdade.

Os líderes estão criando estratégias mundanas para atrair pessoas e aumentar as igrejas para obter lucro.

Eles abortaram os princípios de Atos 2:42: o partir do pão, a oração e a comunhão.

Eles tinham tudo em comum; havia amor entre todos, e o Senhor acrescentou à Igreja aqueles que precisavam ser salvos.

Uma igreja genuína cresce sem usar estratégias rebuscadas. Ele se baseia exclusivamente no Amor Ágape entre seus irmãos e irmãs. Onde todos praticam

Obediência, Amor, Paz e Companheirismo – essas são as virtudes de uma Igreja Centrada em Deus, pois todas essas posições são atributos de Deus e um reflexo de Seu Caráter.

Estes são exemplos de uma igreja que cumpre todas as etapas da gestação, desfrutando da Paz e da alegria do Senhor.

Uma igreja que não aborta sua visão porque entende o propósito de ser fiel até a morte, pois sua recompensa será a coroa da vida.

Uma igreja que cresce em maturidade não é facilmente enganada, não está dividida por opiniões, não está dividida e não se deixa levar por modismos espirituais. Ele permanece firme porque cada membro sabe quem é, a quem pertence e para onde está indo.

Isaías 26:17-18 nos dá o exemplo de uma mulher (igreja) que tem todos os sintomas da gravidez, mas no momento do nascimento, o resultado é o vento.

Uma igreja que passa por todos os estágios, mas não é nem o sal da terra nem a luz do mundo. Como pode trazer salvação à Terra? Agindo assim, estará abortando o propósito para o qual Deus enviou Seu Filho: Sua Morte e Ressurreição nos trariam a salvação, libertando-nos do pecado e do julgamento.

Ezequiel 19:10-14. Fala-nos de uma mãe (igreja) que simboliza uma vinha plantada junto à água que era fecunda e cheia de ramos. Graças às águas abundantes, seus galhos eram fortes e crescia muito. Atraiu a atenção por sua altura, mas foi furiosamente derrubado e arrancado por um vento leste, arrancando seus frutos.

Vemos aqui uma gravidez abortada.

MAS COMO?

Se foi plantado pela água, muitas águas. (Símbolo da palavra de Deus). No entanto, foi arrancado por um vento forte.

Por quê? Esta igreja pregou a palavra, mas suas raízes eram superficiais e não estavam enraizadas na Rocha. CRISTO (Isaías 5:1-7)

Os propósitos e o cuidado de Deus para com a nação de Israel e seu povo. Ele teve o cuidado de plantar a vinha em uma área fértil, limpou toda a terra e selecionou as melhores vinhas. Ele construiu um lagar e colocou uma sentinela para vigiar possíveis ataques ou pragas. Então eu esperava que rendesse boas uvas, mas só rendeu uvas azedas. O que mais eu poderia ter feito por isso que não tinha feito?

A nação de Israel e seus habitantes, a quem Ele amava, (abortaram a visão e os propósitos de Deus).

A falta de retidão, justiça, integridade e fidelidade traz tristeza aos olhos do Senhor.

Não é diferente hoje. Pais zelosos que cuidam bem de sua casa e família também ficam tristes quando seus filhos abortam.

Eles abandonam sua casa e família, e então descobre-se que foi uma gravidez falsa.

Se a verdadeira Doutrina (Palavra) está sendo ministrada, o que precisamos é obedecer, viver e pregar esta Palavra.

Tiago 1:22 Sede cumpridores da palavra, e não apenas ouvintes, enganando-vos a vós mesmos. 23 Pois, se alguém é ouvinte da palavra e não praticante, é semelhante a um homem que olha para o seu próprio rosto no espelho; 24 E depois de se admirar, ele vai embora e imediatamente se esquece de sua aparência. 25 Mas quem olha atentamente para a lei perfeita, a lei da liberdade, e permanece nela – não é ouvinte esquecido, mas zeloso – será abençoado em tudo o que empreender.

POIS A PALAVRA DE DEUS É SEMPRE FECUNDA. SE UMA PALAVRA FALHA E NÃO DÁ FRUTO, NÃO É A PALAVRA DO SENHOR.

In our spiritual journey, when we are subject to a multitude of voices, we become vulnerable to embrace the spirit of the age. During these times it may be necessary to do a hard reset or a master reset so that our operating system can return to its original Divine settings. We need to disconnect the operation from the power that energises the system

I would like to present my perspective on our responsibility to represent Divine Justice 

Psalms 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face (NKJV)

The original King James Version reads …… Psalms 89:14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

Justice and Judgement are the dwelling place and the bedrock of the Throne of the Lord. (This is an unchanging reality, irrespective of times and seasons)

The Lord is our High Priest and the righteous Judge of the whole earth. As the royal priesthood of the Lord, we need to represent and reveal His righteousness and His integrity in our judgements within our sphere of authority.

Hebrew word for Justice ṣeḏeq: A masculine noun meaning a right relation to an ethical or legal standard. The Hebrew word occurs most often in the Psalms and Isaiah. The word is frequently connected with the term justice (Psalm 119:106; Isaiah 58:2). Kings, judges, and other leaders were to execute their duties based on righteous standards (Deuteronomy 1:16; Proverbs 8:15; Isaiah 32:1). God Himself acts in righteousness both in judgment and deliverance (Psalms 119:75, 160; Isaiah 51:5; 62:1). (Extracted from Complete Word Study Bible)

Hebrew word for Judgement  mišpāṭ: A masculine noun meaning a judgment, a legal decision, a legal case, a claim, proper, rectitude. The word connotes several variations in meanings depending on the context. It is used to describe a legal decision or judgment rendered: it describes a legal decision given by God to be followed by the people (Isaiah 58:2; Zephaniah 2:3; Malachi 2:17). These decisions could come through the use of the Urim and Thummim (Numbers 27:21). The high priest wore a pouch called the breastpiece of justice, containing the Urim and Thummim by which decisions were obtained from the Lord (Exodus 28:30). Doing what was right and just in the Lord’s eyes was far more important than presenting sacrifices to Him (Genesis 18:19; Proverbs 21:3, 15). God was declared to be the Judge of the whole earth who rendered justice faithfully (Extracted from Complete Word Study Bible)

Very early in His ministry, Jesus clarifies one of his important mandates. He makes a clear declaration regarding the anointing that is upon Him to preach the gospel for the deliverance of a specific demographic. This demographic constitutes the poor, the brokenhearted, the captives, the blind and the oppressed. He enters the synagogue at Nazareth, a city where He was brought up. 

 Luke 4:16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: 18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”

In the natural we understand the significance of important days in the South African calendar like 27 April which has been declared as Freedom Day. It commemorates our first free elections as South Africans as well as the unveiling of our New Constitution that protects our emancipation from oppressive, prejudicial and discriminatory laws.

Although the book of Isaiah was handed to Jesus, it was Jesus who found the place where Isaiah had prophesied of Him (Isaiah 61). Jesus specifically referred to this scripture because He was able to discern the prevailing spirit of social prejudice in the synagogue. Jesus is unveiling the resident anointing in the gospel that is able to bring deliverance to this demographic. Jesus declared His intent to preach the gospel to usher in the new season of reform and migration in the synagogue.

As far as this demographic was concerned, this was their Freedom Day, freedom from systemic injustice, freedom from being marginalised while worshipping God  in the synagogue.  Jesus declares “today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing” (Verse 21). Jesus is declaring openly that He is able to do in one day for that which you have waited expectantly for 50 years. Jesus is boldly declaring in a hostile, religious, orthodox, conservative environment that He is the One, the Messiah, the Jubilee that the earth has been waiting for – to bring salvation, freedom, and healing to those who have been marginalised by societal injustice. 

The Jubilee is the time for a “hard/master” reset in Israel. It includes, among other things, the restoration of land, the liberation of all indentured servants and slaves, an economic reset where all debts were forgiven. Isaiah prophesied this  DURING HIS TIME In any country, in any season, in any century this demographic has always existed.  They would find themselves subject to oppressive regimes, systems and governments, eventually becoming vassals of those regimes. As an example we can study the captivity and displacement of the Israelites under an oppressive Assyrian regime.

THIS DEMOGRAPHIC BECOMES VULNERABLE TO THE ATTACKS OF THE ENEMY

In Biblical times we will find enemies of God’s people who target this particular demographic. The Amalekites were notorious for attacking the most vulnerable, the feeble and the stragglers; ambushing them from the rear

The Divine justice of God, released from the courts of heaven, is to totally erase this enemy, including its livestock from the face of the earth.

Deuteronomy 25:17 “Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming out of Egypt, 18 how he met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God. 19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD your God has given you rest from your enemies all around, in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, that you will blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. You shall not forget.

Believers constitute the royal priesthood. Jesus is our King and our High Priest. As His representatives, we have the mandatory obligation to reveal His integrity, His righteousness, His image and His likeness in our judgements.

DIVINE JUSTICE HAD TO BE REVEALED IN THE JUDICIAL ADMINISTRATION OF MOSES

Jethro gives Moses counsel in leading millions of people in the wilderness.

Exodus 18:19 Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God. 20 And you shall teach them the statutes and the laws, and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do. 21 Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 22 And let them judge the people at all times. Then it will be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you, for they will bear the burden with you.

Jethro, the father in law of Moses, gives Moses in Verse 21 four mandatory attributes that the leader must possess :

Ability Fear of the Lord Men of truth Haters of Covetousness 

Moses addresses the people of God and brings greater clarity in his expectations from the judiciary that is appointed to reflect the elements of Divine justice in their judgements.

Deuteronomy 1:16 “Then I commanded your judges at that time, saying, ‘Hear the cases between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the stranger who is with him. 17 You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man’s presence, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.’

Leviticus 19:15 ‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

Moses declares these mandatory requirements from the judiciary in the quest for righteous Divine judgements

1. judge righteously 2. absolute impartiality   3. both small and the great, the poor and the wealthy, will receive a fair hearing 4. resist all forms of intimidation and threats from any person that could potentially impede righteous, Divine judgement  5. in the event of any difficulties experienced in arriving at a righteous judgement, the matter can be escalated to Moses for review 

Divine judgements must not be confused with  the judgements of our courts on the earth. We all know that globally, there are some judiciaries that are vulnerable to corruption, serious intimidation and partiality towards the wealthy and the affluent. These cities are reflected in the parable of the Unjust Judge, that symbolises a judiciary that does not fear God or man. (Luke 18:1-8) The overreaching message of this parable is that the “elect of God” must escalate their appeal for justice by persistently appealing to a higher Divine court that is guided by His righteous laws in His Word to intervene inorder to receive a righteous judgement. The reason we will refer to the Mosaic laws is because Jesus referred to Isaiah’s prophecy about the coming Messiah ….. during a time where cities of refuge were appointed for the execution of righteous justice. Isaiah’s prophecy brought hope and consolation to the people of God who badly needed Divine justice. The Lord instructed Moses and later Joshua to appoint six cities of refuge 

Numbers 35 reveals the importance of a righteous, fair, impartial judiciary that would reflect an ethical, Divine standard that would align itself to the Word of the Lord. These cities were governed and administrated by the Levites. Among other duties, the Levites were responsible for preparing offerings, they served as judges as well as teaching and instructing the people in the laws, statutes and commandments of the Lord.

The Levites were perfectly suited because they were not covetous. They have no interest in property ownership. The inheritance of the Levite is the Lord. This makes them trustworthy mediators and credible representatives to deliver righteous Divine justice.

As we said, believers in this season constitute the royal priesthood. We have prioritised the Word of the Lord. The principles for righteous judgement are extracted from the Word of the Lord.

THE APPOINTMENT OF SIX CITIES OF REFUGE It is necessary to examine the justice system in Israel that would confer protection, safety and the right to a fair trial in accordance to the mandatory requirements that are mentioned in this article concerning the credibility of the judiciary.

Numbers 35:9 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 10 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 11 then you shall appoint cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer who kills any person accidentally may flee there. 12 They shall be cities of refuge for you from the avenger, that the manslayer may not die until he stands before the congregation in judgment. 13 And of the cities which you give, you shall have six cities of refuge. 14 You shall appoint three cities on this side of the Jordan, and three cities you shall appoint in the land of Canaan, which will be cities of refuge. 15 These six cities shall be for refuge for the children of Israel, for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them, that anyone who kills a person accidentally may flee there.

The six cities appointed as “cities of refuge” are Golan, Ramoth, and Bosor to the east (left bank) of the Jordan River; and Kedesh, Shechem, and Hebron on the western (right) side.

These cities, governed by the Levites, offered the Israelite a fair trial and more importantly safety from the avenger of the manslayer who demanded the blood of the manslayer.

These cities of refuge provided immunity and safety for the Israelites and the stranger from being subject to “mob justice” and being killed on the street by blood thirsty vigilante gangs.  

These cities represent both the “justice and mercy of God” not only for the people of God but also for the stranger who dwelt in their midst.

Both plaintiff and defendant were given access to legal process that is fair, impartial and without prejudice. As representatives of the Lord, the Levites in these cities were fully aware of their Divine mandate to deliver righteous judgements. 

Christ is our High Priest  In this present day, we carry the burden of responsibility of the royal priesthood; our righteous judgements need to reveal the Divine justice and mercies of the Lord. We must become the “city of refuge”, the Name of the Lord that is a strong tower where the righteous run in and they are saved.

THE STRONG TOWER OF THE LORD  How do we reconfigure cities to become “safe cities” or “cities of refuge”

Here are some possible solutions? What is required is a HARD RESET – A MASTER RESET

This is much more than just rebooting. This involves wiping the entire system clean, except for the essential information 

Apply every doctrine, without partiality or prejudice, in its entirety, to everyone, to the poor as well as the wealthy; to the small as well as the great

A hard Reset is required on Mentoring/Teaching platforms

Many of us have our schools, Forums and tables where we teach and mentor believers from various houses. I recommend that we adopt the Naomi/Ruth/Boaz model

A Justiça e o Juízo são a morada e o alicerce do Trono do Senhor. (Esta é uma realidade imutável, independentemente dos tempos e estações)

O Senhor é nosso Sumo Sacerdote e o justo Juiz de toda a terra. Como sacerdócio real do Senhor, precisamos representar e revelar Sua justiça e Sua integridade em nossos julgamentos dentro de nossa esfera de autoridade.

É usado para descrever uma decisão legal ou julgamento proferido: descreve uma decisão legal dada por Deus para ser seguida pelo povo (Isaías 58:2; Sofonias 2:3; Malaquias 2:17). Muito cedo em Seu ministério, Jesus esclarece um de seus importantes mandatos. Ele faz uma declaração clara sobre a unção que está sobre Ele para pregar o evangelho para a libertação de um grupo demográfico específico. Esse grupo demográfico constitui os pobres, os quebrantados de coração, os cativos, os cegos e os oprimidos. Ele entra na sinagoga de Nazaré, uma cidade onde foi criado.

Lucas 4:16 Então ele veio para Nazaré, onde havia sido criado. E, como era seu costume, entrou na sinagoga no dia de sábado, e levantou-se para ler. 17 E foi-lhe entregue o livro do profeta Isaías. No natural, entendemos o significado de dias importantes no calendário sul-africano, como 27 de abril, que foi declarado como o Dia da Liberdade. Ele comemora nossas primeiras eleições livres como sul-africanos, bem como a inauguração de nossa Nova Constituição que protege nossa emancipação de leis opressivas, preconceituosas e discriminatórias.

Embora o livro de Isaías tenha sido entregue a Jesus, foi Jesus quem encontrou o lugar onde Isaías havia profetizado sobre Ele (Isaías 61). Jesus se referiu especificamente a essa escritura porque foi capaz de discernir o espírito predominante de preconceito social na sinagoga. Jesus está revelando a unção residente no evangelho que é capaz de trazer libertação a esse grupo demográfico. Jesus declarou Sua intenção de pregar o evangelho para inaugurar a nova temporada de reforma e migração na sinagoga.

No que diz respeito a esse grupo demográfico, este foi o Dia da Liberdade, liberdade da injustiça sistêmica, liberdade de ser marginalizado enquanto adorava a Deus na sinagoga. Jesus declara: “Hoje se cumpriu esta escritura que acabais de ouvir” (versículo 21). Jesus está declarando abertamente que Ele é capaz de fazer em um dia por aquilo que você esperou ansiosamente por 50 anos. Jesus está declarando corajosamente em um ambiente hostil, religioso, ortodoxo e conservador que Ele é o Único, o Messias, o Jubileu que a terra esperava – para trazer salvação, liberdade e cura para aqueles que foram marginalizados pela injustiça social.

O Jubileu é o tempo para uma reinicialização “hard/master” em Israel. Inclui, entre outras coisas, a restauração da terra, a libertação de todos os servos e escravos contratados, uma redefinição econômica onde todas as dívidas foram perdoadas. Isaías profetizou isso DURANTE SEU TEMPO Em qualquer país, em qualquer estação, em qualquer século, esse grupo demográfico sempre existiu. Eles se veriam sujeitos a regimes, sistemas e governos opressivos, tornando-se eventualmente vassalos desses regimes. Como exemplo, podemos estudar o cativeiro e o deslocamento dos israelitas sob um regime assírio opressivo.

ESSE GRUPO DEMOGRÁFICO SE TORNA VULNERÁVEL AOS ATAQUES DO INIMIGO

 Nos tempos bíblicos, encontraremos inimigos do povo de Deus que visam esse grupo demográfico específico. Os amalequitas eram notórios por atacar os mais vulneráveis, os fracos e os retardatários; emboscando-os pela retaguarda

A justiça divina de Deus, libertada das cortes do céu, é apagar totalmente esse inimigo, incluindo seu gado, da face da terra.

Deuteronômio 25:17 “Lembre-se do que Amaleque fez com você no caminho, quando você estava saindo do Egito, 18 como ele o encontrou no caminho e atacou suas fileiras de retaguarda, todos os retardatários em sua retaguarda, quando você estava cansado e cansado; e ele não temia a Deus. 19 Será, pois, que, quando o SENHOR vosso Deus vos tiver dado descanso dos vossos inimigos ao redor, na terra que o SENHOR vosso Deus vos dá por herança, apagareis da Você não deve esquecer.

Jethro, the father in law of Moses, gives Moses in Verse 21 four mandatory attributes that the leader must possess :

Moisés se dirige ao povo de Deus e traz maior clareza em suas expectativas em relação ao judiciário que é designado para refletir os elementos da justiça divina em seus julgamentos.

Deuteronômio 1:16 “Então ordenei aos seus juízes naquele tempo, dizendo: ‘Ouçam as causas entre seus irmãos e julguem com justiça entre um homem e seu irmão ou o estrangeiro que está com ele. 17 Não usarás de parcialidade no julgamento; você ouvirá tanto o pequeno quanto o grande; não temereis na presença de ninguém, porque de Deus é o juízo. O caso que é muito difícil para você, traga para mim, e eu vou ouvir.

Levítico 19:15 ‘Não cometerá injustiça no julgamento. Não serás parcial para com os pobres, nem honrarás a pessoa dos poderosos. Com justiça julgarás o teu próximo.

Moisés declara esses requisitos obrigatórios do judiciário na busca por julgamentos divinos justos

Julgue com justiça                                             2. imparcialidade absoluta                                 3. tanto os pequenos quanto os grandes, os pobres e os ricos, receberão uma audiência justa                4. resistir a todas as formas de intimidação e ameaças de qualquer pessoa que possam impedir o julgamento justo e divino                    5. no caso de quaisquer dificuldades para chegar a um julgamento justo, o assunto pode ser encaminhado a Moisés para revisão

Os julgamentos divinos não devem ser confundidos com os julgamentos de nossos tribunais na terra. Todos nós sabemos que, globalmente, existem alguns judiciários que são vulneráveis à corrupção, intimidação séria e parcialidade em relação aos ricos e ricos. Essas cidades são refletidas na parábola do Juiz Injusto, que simboliza um judiciário que não teme a Deus ou ao homem. (Lucas 18:1-8) A mensagem exagerada desta parábola é que os “eleitos de Deus” devem escalar seu apelo por justiça, apelando persistentemente a um tribunal divino superior que é guiado por Suas leis justas em Sua Palavra para intervir a fim de receber um julgamento justo. Números 35 revela a importância de um judiciário justo, justo e imparcial que refletiria um padrão ético e divino que se alinharia com a Palavra do Senhor. Essas cidades eram governadas e administradas pelos levitas. Entre outros deveres, os levitas eram responsáveis por preparar ofertas, serviam como juízes, bem como ensinavam e instruíam o povo nas leis, estatutos e mandamentos do Senhor.

Os levitas eram perfeitamente adequados porque não eram cobiçosos. Eles não têm interesse na propriedade. A herança do levita é o Senhor. Isso os torna mediadores confiáveis e representantes confiáveis para entregar justiça divina justa.

Como dissemos, os crentes nesta época constituem o sacerdócio real. Priorizamos a Palavra do Senhor. Os princípios para um julgamento justo são extraídos da Palavra do Senhor.

A DESIGNAÇÃO DE SEIS CIDADES DE REFÚGIO: 

É necessário examinar o sistema de justiça em Israel que conferiria proteção, segurança e direito a um julgamento justo, de acordo com os requisitos obrigatórios mencionados neste artigo sobre a credibilidade do judiciário.

Números 35:9 Então falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo: 10 Fala aos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Quando atravessares o Jordão para a terra de Canaã, 11 então designarás cidades para te servirem de refúgio, para que o homicida que matar alguém acidentalmente fuja para lá. 12 Elas vos servirão de cidades de refúgio contra o vingador, para que o homicida não morra até que se apresente perante a congregação em juízo. 13 E das cidades que derdes, tereis seis cidades de refúgio. 14 Constituirás três cidades além do Jordão, e três cidades na terra de Canaã, que serão cidades de refúgio. 15 Estas seis cidades servirão de refúgio para os filhos de Israel, para o estrangeiro e para o estrangeiro no meio deles, para que todo aquele que matar alguém acidentalmente fuja para lá.

As seis cidades designadas como “cidades de refúgio” são Golã, Ramote e Bosor, a leste (margem esquerda) do rio Jordão; e Quedes, Siquém e Hebrom no lado ocidental (direito).

Essas cidades, governadas pelos levitas, ofereciam aos israelitas um julgamento justo e, mais importante, segurança contra o vingador do homicida que exigia o sangue do homicida.

Essas cidades de refúgio forneciam imunidade e segurança para os israelitas e o estrangeiro de serem submetidos à “justiça da turba” e serem mortos na rua por gangues de vigilantes sedentos de sangue.

Essas cidades representam tanto a “justiça quanto a misericórdia de Deus” não apenas para o povo de Deus, mas também para o estrangeiro que habitava no meio deles.

Tanto o autor quanto o réu tiveram acesso a um processo legal justo, imparcial e sem preconceitos. Como representantes do Senhor, os levitas nessas cidades estavam plenamente conscientes de seu mandato divino de proferir julgamentos justos.

Cristo é nosso Sumo Sacerdote Nos dias atuais, carregamos o fardo da responsabilidade do sacerdócio real; nossos julgamentos justos precisam revelar a justiça divina e as misericórdias do Senhor. Devemos tornar-nos a “cidade de refúgio”, o Nome do Senhor, que é uma torre forte onde os justos correm e são salvos.

Como reconfiguramos as cidades para se tornarem “cidades seguras” ou “cidades de refúgio”

Aqui estão algumas soluções possíveis? O que é necessário é um HARD RESET – UM MASTER RESET

Isso é muito mais do que apenas reiniciar. Isso envolve limpar todo o sistema, exceto as informações essenciais

Aplicai toda doutrina, sem parcialidade nem preconceito, na sua totalidade, a todos, tanto aos pobres como aos ricos; tanto para os pequenos quanto para os grandes

O Juízo Divino e a misericórdia do Senhor são irmãos.

Muitos acreditam que foi Davi quem escreveu o Salmo 119. Preste atenção às suas palavras…

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Let us examine the Hebrew word for “one”

eḥāḏ: A numerical adjective meaning one, first, once, the same. It may mean simply one of various things: example, place (Genesis 1:9); soul, or person (Leviticus 4:27); a person from among many (Genesis 3:22; 42:19; 1 Samuel 26:15). It has the idea of unity or integrity as when it designates one justice for all (Numbers 15:16) or actual physical unity (Exodus 36:12). The Lord is one (Deuteronomy 6:4). It expresses agreement or unity among persons (Exodus 24:3) or physical unity (Zephaniah 3:9). (Extracted from Complete Word Study Bible)

Our reference for “unity” does not come from the dictionary or from a secular source. It is the Oneness that we see in the Triune God – God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit

They are three distinct persons existing eternally as ONE God. They are co equal and have the same divine substance. The nature of the three persons are perfectly aligned to the Word of God

Although the three persons of the Godhead have their specific functions within the Trinity, they are aligned to the purpose of God.

This reference to the Holy Trinity is crucial to our understanding of Paul using the human body as a metaphor to explain the concept of being “ONE”

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 19 And if they were all one member, where were the body? 20 But now are they many members, yet but one body. 21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: 23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: 25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. 26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Let us remain with this metaphor. This means that the foot, hand, eye, ear and the less honourable parts, although functionally different, have to embrace their co equal status in the human body; Paul further states that we ought to bestow more abundant honour on the less honourable parts. No part of the human body should be despised. Every part of the human body has to be embraced, irrespective of its beauty or its positioning on the body. The entire human body needs to embrace all of its parts. 

In the context of the oneness of the family of God, Paul uses this illustration to dismantle any prejudice or injustice that may arise between the Jews and the Gentiles. Like the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit the Gentiles enjoy co equal status in the Body of Christ when they receive Jesus as Saviour. 

To relate to our own humanity, Jesus, who is God, came in the form of man (incarnation) to dwell among humanity.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name

Jesus took the form of a servant and made Himself of no reputation. This is the image and likeness that creation is eagerly awaiting. The original Greek word for reputation refers to Jesus willingly embracing the process of “self humiliation”

kenóō; contracted kenṓ, fut. kenṓsō, from kenós (G2756), empty, void. To make empty, to empty, falsify, be fallacious. “Kenóō” in Philippians 2:7 means to empty oneself, to divest oneself of rightful dignity by descending to an inferior condition, to abase oneself. The use in Philippians 2:7 is of great theological importance. It refers to Jesus Christ as emptying Himself at the time of His incarnation, denoting the beginning of His self-humiliation in verse eight. In order to understand what is meant by Jesus’ emptying Himself, the whole passage (Philippians 2:6-8) must be examined. The two states of the Lord Jesus are spoken about here. In verse seven, the state of His humiliation is referred to as having taken “the form (morphḗn) of a servant (doúlou)” and having become “in the likeness (homoiṓmati) of men (anthrṓpōn). In contrast to this, we have His preincarnate, eternal state spoken of in verse six as “being in the form (morphḗ) of God,” and “equal (ísa) with God.” The truth expressed here concerning His preincarnate state is that He had to be equal with God in order to have the form of God. He could not be God the Son without being Deity. He who showed us the morphḗ of God, the form of God, the essence of God, had to be equal with God Himself. The fact that Christ in His human form showed us God presupposes His being God at all times. He never claimed to be something without really being that in His essence. If He had, He would have been making a false claim. As to the use of “harpagmós” robbery or plunder, see the verb harpázō – to seize, catch, pluck or pull (2 Corinthians 12:2, 4; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; Jude 2, 3; Revelation 12:5). “Harpagmós” is used only in Philippians 2:6. It refers to Christ’s not taking that which did not belong to Him by being in the form of God. His whole life was characterized by being (hupárchōn) that which He always was. Prior to His incarnation He was in the form, the essence of God, and after His incarnation He was still in the form of God in spite of His voluntary humiliation. From this word study we have a clear understanding of the willingness and the significance of Jesus taking the lowly form of a servant; as the original word means to abase Himself.  (End of Reference)

This position would bring us into conflict in a post modern culture that would perceive this as a sign of weakness as it would negatively impact the image of success. Jesus would voluntarily do this to relate to humanity.  This spirit of disinvesting ourselves of our reputation, status and substance is seen in the culture of the early church in Acts 2:42-45 

Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Believers who gathered under the instruction of the Word of the Lord (apostles’ doctrine), fellowship, breaking of bread and prayers experienced the fear of the Lord. This fear produced a profound reverence and awe of the Lord, His majesty and His supernatural power which caused them to sell their possessions and distribute the proceeds to all within the community. This is the ultimate expression of “unity in love”. This is not only applicable to material possessions; it also applies to our lives spiritually. The life of Paul was totally surrendered as a living sacrifice to the Lord 

Philippians 2:17 Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. 18 For the same reason you also be glad and rejoice with me.

Suffering for the sake of others This is the ultimate expression of the agape love of God that represents the death of Christ Jesus in believers which produces life in others. Dying to self is a demand that is placed on ALL believers, not only a few.  (Unity in love)

2 Corinthians 4:8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death is working in us, but life in you.

UNITY IN LOVE

Unity in love brings peace, joy, and is accompanied by a great purpose: to be the representation of Christ Jesus on earth.We can speak of the unity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Trinity). We can speak of the True Vine—the unity of each of us with Christ!

When we speak of unity, we remember the Church of Acts 2:42: “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers”

This church became the greatest example of UNITY IN LOVE! For it was a Church encompassing the four pillars. Its unity contained: Apostles’ Doctrine; Fellowship; Sharing of bread; Prayer 

But now let us speak of the unity of the church that was in Ephesus:

(Ephesians 4:1-6) I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling to which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with patience, supporting one another in love, endeavoring to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in you all.

The Holy Ministry and Service of the Saints

And grace was given to each one of us according to the proportion of the gift of Christ. Therefore it says: When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts to men.

Now what does he ascended mean, except that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things. And he gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, until we all reach the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, by the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up into all things, which is the head, into Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by what every joint supplies, when each part works properly, causes the growth of itself for the building up of itself in love.

UNITY cannot be just jargon! UNITY requires self-denial. Unity goes beyond our culture, mentality, roots, DNA, academic or theological background. The WORD of God transcends our human mentality.

(Ephesians 4:2) With all humility and gentleness, with patience, supporting one another in love,

Unity will require: Humility, gentleness, patience, forbearance, love, effort, and diligence. These qualities are indispensable.

Let’s analyze each of them:

Humility A virtue characterized by awareness of one’s own limitations; Modesty, simplicity.

In the Bible, humility is an essential virtue that manifests itself in recognizing our dependence on God and submitting to His will, rather than seeking self-glory or vainglory. It is an attitude of the heart that translates into meekness, respect, and service to others, without pride or arrogance. Humility does not mean weakness, but recognition of one’s own limitations and need for God. Humility is one of the characteristics that make up unity; without humility, UNITY becomes impossible!

Meekness The quality or condition of being meek. Gentleness of character or nature; gentleness in the way of expressing oneself; easy-going temperament, sweetness, gentleness, specialness. In the Bible, meekness is the ability to control emotions and reactions, responding with serenity and understanding rather than reacting impulsively or aggressively. It is a virtue that manifests itself in the way we deal with challenges and conflicts, demonstrating patience and understanding, rather than anger or resentment.

Longsuffering The virtue of firmly enduring setbacks for the benefit of others; magnanimity, generosity. Patience, selflessness with which one endures setbacks, difficulties, etc. In the Bible, longsuffering refers to patience, tolerance, and the ability to endure adversity without becoming irritated or losing one’s temper in difficult situations.

Support Anything whose purpose is to be sustained; a prop, a support, a fulcrum. That which helps or reinforces; reinforcement, support. In the Bible, support can have different meanings depending on the context. It generally refers to an act of providing help, support, or tolerating or enduring something or a person. It can also refer to the ability to resist or keep something standing. It can also be used to provide help, emotional support or simply be there for someone in difficult times. The concept of SUPPORT is also linked to tolerating and having patience with difficulties, the weaknesses of others, and the processes of life.

(Romans 12:1-2) recommends that the strong bear the weaknesses of the weak.

SUPPORT is also linked to maintaining faith and steadfastness in God during trials and challenges.

Love (Agape) It is God’s unconditional love. Without God’s agape, we will never be able to experience true UNITY.

Effort Intensification of physical, intellectual, or moral strength to carry out a project or task. That which is done with difficulty and commitment; labor, enterprise, work. In the Bible, effort is often associated with dedication to hard work for the Kingdom of God.

Diligence Meticulous search; research, investigation, inquiry. Interest or care applied to the execution of a task; Zeal. In the Bible, diligence is an act of dedication, an effort that involves devoting oneself enthusiastically and carefully to something. It involves dedication and persevering in pleasing God and fulfilling His purposes.

We note that every virtue mentioned in this verse is present in the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT.

(Galatians 5:22-23) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

So, to begin to speak and live in UNITY, we will need the help and assistance of the Holy Spirit. So much richness in a single verse, so don’t think that UNITY is so easy to live or implement. Unity requires brokenness, surrender, and maturity.

Unity as a Body We are a Body and need the necessary adjustments for its perfect functioning… Unity goes beyond moments of communion, conversations, meetings, and our affinities.

The Apostle Paul instructed the church in Ephesus to live in unity… Not just in one place, but in the Lord and in faith.

Our indifference ends when we bring our minds into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

(Ephesians 4:6) One God and Father of all, who is over all, through all, and in all.

It is necessary to understand and live in UNITY! This church needed to learn to live in UNITY, and we need to live it too! We know that maintaining UNITY won’t always be easy. But we need to reach manhood, maturity…

Towards Maturity (Ephesians 4:13) Until we all reach the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, a mature man, the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

No one can be left behind. We all need to reach this unity… the gigantic maturity of God’s grace! But the purpose of unity is related to the idea of ​​a single, indivisible element (Christ) that forms a whole. We may be different, but what unites us is Christ!

We need to allow God to break us into pieces so that the wall can be perfectly built. For the Cornerstone (Christ) is the one who unites the Body! Unity attracts the presence of God. What do we desire as children of God?

The greatest benefit of unity is the Presence of God! Unity is necessary to attract the presence of God. In the construction of the Tower of Babel, the people were in unity—even if for the wrong purposes—and this caught God’s attention! Are we attracting God’s attention only to unity when it is said to be wrong? Have we been living in unity when it is convenient for us? These people were confused by their unity! When the man of God brings harmony to the House, it is to maintain Unity, to maintain Presence. What father rejoices with children who are always in conflict? We want to live in harmony, to be heard and respected. Therefore, we also need to listen and respect.

(Ephesians 4:16) From whom the whole body, joined and held together by what every joint supplies, as each part works together, causes the growth of itself for the building up of itself in love.

Unity in the Structure of the Body: LOVE AND RESPONSIBILITY.

The Result of Unity (Psalm 133:1) Oh! How good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!

Only in this unity can we convey an effective witness to the world. Faith flourishes in an atmosphere of unity. Then we will see the fruits of the oneness of the church as seen in the early church.

(Acts 2:46-47) And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, took their food with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

May we, together, live true UNITY IN LOVE.

Examinemos a palavra hebraica para “um”

eḥāḏ: Um adjetivo numérico que significa um, primeiro, uma vez, o mesmo. Pode significar simplesmente uma das várias coisas: exemplo, lugar (Gênesis 1:9); alma ou pessoa (Levítico 4:27); uma pessoa dentre muitos (Gênesis 3:22; 42:19; 1 Samuel 26:15). Nossa referência para “unidade” não vem do dicionário ou de uma fonte secular. É a Unidade que vemos no Deus Triúno – Deus Pai, Deus Filho, Deus Espírito Santo

Eles são três pessoas distintas que existem eternamente como UM Deus. Eles são co-iguais e têm a mesma substância divina. A natureza das três pessoas está perfeitamente alinhada com a Palavra de Deus. Embora as três pessoas da Trindade tenham suas funções específicas dentro da Trindade, elas estão alinhadas ao propósito de Deus.

Essa referência à Santíssima Trindade é crucial para nossa compreensão de Paulo usando o corpo humano como uma metáfora para explicar o conceito de ser “UM”

Continuemos com esta metáfora. kenóō; kenṓ contraído, fut. kenṓsō, de kenós (G2756), vazio, vazio.  Essa posição nos colocaria em conflito em uma cultura pós-moderna que perceberia isso como um sinal de fraqueza, pois impactaria negativamente a imagem de sucesso. Jesus faria isso voluntariamente para se relacionar com a humanidade. Esse espírito de desinvestir de nossa reputação, status e substância é visto na cultura da igreja primitiva em Atos 2:42-45

 A unidade no amor traz paz, alegria e é acompanhada por um grande propósito: ser a representação de Cristo Jesus na terra. Podemos falar da unidade do Pai, do Filho e do Espírito Santo (a Trindade). Podemos falar da Videira Verdadeira – a unidade de cada um de nós com Cristo!

Quando falamos de unidade, lembramos a Igreja de Atos 2:42: “E perseveravam na doutrina dos apóstolos, na comunhão e no partir do pão e nas orações”

Esta igreja se tornou o maior exemplo de UNIDADE NO AMOR! Pois era uma Igreja que abrangia os quatro pilares. Sua unidade continha: Doutrina dos Apóstolos; Irmandade; Partilha de pão; Oração.

 Mas agora vamos falar da unidade da igreja que estava em Éfeso:

(Efésios 4:1-6) Eu, portanto, prisioneiro do Senhor, rogo-vos que andeis dignos da vocação para a qual fostes chamados, com toda humildade e mansidão, com paciência, apoiando-vos uns aos outros em amor, esforçando-vos por manter a unidade do Espírito no vínculo da paz. Há um só corpo e um só Espírito, assim como fostes chamados em uma só esperança da vossa vocação; há um só Senhor, uma só fé, um só batismo; um só Deus e Pai de todos, que é sobre todos, por todos e em todos vós.

O Santo Ministério e Serviço dos Santos

E a graça foi dada a cada um de nós segundo a proporção do dom de Cristo. Portanto, diz: Quando ele subiu ao alto, ele levou cativo o cativeiro e deu presentes aos homens.

Agora, o que ele ascendeu, exceto que ele também desceu às partes mais baixas da terra? Aquele que desceu é também aquele que subiu muito acima de todos os céus, para encher todas as coisas. E deu uns para apóstolos, outros para profetas, outros para evangelistas, outros para pastores e mestres, para o aperfeiçoamento dos santos para a obra do ministério, para edificação do corpo de Cristo, até que todos cheguemos à unidade da fé e do conhecimento do Filho de Deus, para um homem maduro, à medida da estatura da plenitude de Cristo. Para que não sejamos mais meninos, inconstantes, levados ao redor por todo vento de doutrina, pelo engano dos homens, pela astúcia de maquinações enganosas. Mas, seguindo a verdade em amor, cresçamos em todas as coisas, que é a cabeça, em Cristo. Dele todo o corpo, unido e mantido unido pelo que cada junta fornece, quando cada parte funciona corretamente, causa o crescimento de si mesmo para a edificação de si mesmo em amor.

UNIDADE não pode ser apenas jargão! UNIDADE requer abnegação. A unidade vai além de nossa cultura, mentalidade, raízes, DNA, formação acadêmica ou teológica. A PALAVRA de Deus transcende nossa mentalidade humana.

(Efésios 4:2) Com toda humildade e mansidão, com paciência, apoiando-se uns aos outros em amor,

A unidade exigirá: Humildade, gentileza, paciência, tolerância, amor, esforço e diligência. Essas qualidades são indispensáveis.

Vamos analisar cada um deles:

Humildade: Uma virtude caracterizada pela consciência das próprias limitações; Modéstia, simplicidade. Na Bíblia, a humildade é uma virtude essencial que se manifesta no reconhecimento de nossa dependência de Deus e na submissão à Sua vontade, em vez de buscar a glória própria ou a vanglória. Na Bíblia, a mansidão é a capacidade de controlar emoções e reações, respondendo com serenidade e compreensão, em vez de reagir impulsivamente ou agressivamente. É uma virtude que se manifesta na maneira como lidamos com desafios e conflitos, demonstrando paciência e compreensão, em vez de raiva ou ressentimento.

 Longanimidade: A virtude de suportar firmemente os reveses em benefício dos outros; magnanimidade, generosidade. Paciência, abnegação com que se suporta contratempos, dificuldades, etc. Na Bíblia, longanimidade refere-se à paciência, tolerância e capacidade de suportar adversidades sem ficar irritado ou perder a paciência em situações difíceis.

 Apoio: Qualquer coisa cujo propósito seja ser sustentado; um suporte, um suporte, um ponto de apoio. Aquilo que ajuda ou reforça; reforço, suporte. Na Bíblia, o apoio pode ter significados diferentes dependendo do contexto. Geralmente se refere a um ato de fornecer ajuda, apoio ou tolerar ou suportar algo ou uma pessoa. Amor (Ágape): É o amor incondicional de Deus. Sem o ágape de Deus, nunca seremos capazes de experimentar a verdadeira UNIDADE.

 Esforço: Intensificação da força física, intelectual ou moral para realizar um projeto ou tarefa. Aquilo que é feito com dificuldade e empenho; trabalho, empresa, trabalho. Na Bíblia, o esforço é frequentemente associado à dedicação ao trabalho árduo pelo Reino de Deus.

 Diligência: Busca meticulosa; pesquisa, investigação, inquérito. Interesse ou cuidado aplicado à execução de uma tarefa; Zelo. Na Bíblia, a diligência é um ato de dedicação, um esforço que envolve dedicar-se com entusiasmo e cuidado a algo. Envolve dedicação e perseverança em agradar a Deus e cumprir Seus propósitos.

Notamos que todas as virtudes mencionadas neste versículo estão presentes no FRUTO DO ESPÍRITO.

(Gálatas 5:22-23) Mas o fruto do Espírito é: amor, alegria, paz, longanimidade, benignidade, bondade, fidelidade, mansidão e domínio próprio. Contra essas coisas não há lei.

Então, para começar a falar e viver em UNIDADE, precisaremos da ajuda e assistência do Espírito Santo. Tanta riqueza em um único versículo, então não pense que UNITY é tão fácil de viver ou implementar. A unidade requer quebrantamento, rendição e maturidade.

Unidade como um corpo: Somos um Corpo e necessitamos dos ajustes necessários para o seu perfeito funcionamento… A unidade vai além dos momentos de comunhão, das conversas, dos encontros e das nossas afinidades.

O apóstolo Paulo instruiu a igreja em Éfeso a viver em unidade… Não apenas em um lugar, mas no Senhor e na fé.

Nossa indiferença termina quando levamos nossas mentes cativas à obediência de Cristo.

(Efésios 4:6) Um só Deus e Pai de todos, que é sobre todos, por todos e em todos.

É preciso entender e viver em UNIDADE! Esta igreja precisava aprender a viver em UNIDADE, e nós precisamos vivê-la também! Sabemos que manter o UNITY nem sempre será fácil. Mas precisamos alcançar a masculinidade, a maturidade…

Rumo à maturidade: (Efésios 4:13) Até que todos cheguemos à unidade da fé e do conhecimento do Filho de Deus, um homem maduro, a medida da estatura da plenitude de Cristo.

Ninguém pode ser deixado para trás. Todos nós precisamos alcançar essa unidade… a gigantesca maturidade da graça de Deus! Mas o propósito da unidade está relacionado à ideia de um elemento único e indivisível (Cristo) que forma um todo. Podemos ser diferentes, mas o que nos une é Cristo!

Precisamos permitir que Deus nos quebre em pedaços para que o muro possa ser perfeitamente construído. Pois a Pedra Angular (Cristo) é quem une o Corpo! A unidade atrai a presença de Deus. O que desejamos como filhos de Deus?

O maior benefício da unidade é a Presença de Deus! A unidade é necessária para atrair a presença de Deus. Na construção da Torre de Babel, o povo estava em união — mesmo que com propósitos errados — e isso chamou a atenção de Deus! Estamos atraindo a atenção de Deus apenas para a unidade quando se diz que ela está errada? Temos vivido em unidade quando nos é conveniente? Essas pessoas ficaram confusas com sua unidade! Quando o homem de Deus traz harmonia à Casa, é para manter a Unidade, para manter a Presença. Que pai se alegra com filhos que estão sempre em conflito? Queremos viver em harmonia, ser ouvidos e respeitados. Portanto, também precisamos ouvir e respeitar.

(Efésios 4:16) De quem todo o corpo, unido e mantido unido pelo que cada junta fornece, à medida que cada parte trabalha junta, causa o crescimento de si mesmo para a edificação de si mesmo em amor.

Unidade na estrutura do corpo: AMOR E RESPONSABILIDADE.

O resultado da unidade (Salmo 133:1) Oh! Como é bom e agradável que os irmãos vivam juntos em união!

Só nesta unidade podemos transmitir ao mundo um testemunho eficaz. A fé floresce em uma atmosfera de unidade. Então veremos os frutos da unidade da igreja como vistos na igreja primitiva.

(Atos 2:46-47) E perseveravam unânimes todos os dias no templo e partiam o pão de casa em casa, comiam com alegria e sinceridade o coração, louvando a Deus e caindo na graça de todo o povo. E o Senhor acrescentava à igreja diariamente aqueles que estavam sendo salvos.

Que possamos, juntos, viver a verdadeira UNIDADE NO AMOR.

Para a glória de Deus, a edificação do Corpo e a manifestação de Sua Presença.

COMMENTARY – ROY PILLAY

Believers must embrace the multi faceted Divine nature of Christ. Let us examine the characteristics of Christ Jesus that were personally experienced by the woman at the well. Jesus is the embodiment of the FULLNESS OF GRACE.

John 4:1 Therefore, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John  2 (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples), 3 He left Judea and departed again to Galilee. 

AVOIDANCE OF UNNECESSARY TROUBLE

Jesus reveals His Divine wisdom as a strategic builder when he knew about the rising envy and hostility against Him by the Pharisees because of the increasing number of His disciples. Jesus knew that any form of dispute would be an unnecessary distraction from His assignment. What does Jesus teach us in this account ?  We must learn to avoid disputes that would squander our time. This is not a sign of weakness or a manifestation of avoidance behaviour; it is simply prioritising our assignment over battles that would drain our virtue.

DECISION TO GO THROUGH SAMARIA

John 4:4 But He needed to go through Samaria. 5 So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

Now the reason to avoid the hostilities in Judea becomes evidently clear as the purpose of Jesus was to extend the grace of salvation to those outside the Jewish faith. Jesus “needed to go through Samaria” which implies that Jesus was fully invested in the vision of the Eternal Father to carry the gospel to those who have been ostracised, marginalised and despised by society. 

John 10:16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

A WOMAN MARGINALISED BY SOCIETY ENCOUNTERS HER SAVIOUR/REDEEMER

John 4:7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” 8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. 9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

Here is another characteristic feature of Christ. Jesus does not demonstrate the prejudice and social discrimination that was practiced among the Jews. He is completely focussed on his purpose which is to make the gospel of salvation available to all humanity. However, the decision to accept the offer of salvation and eternal life is entirely dependent on the individual. The Samaritan woman had the right to terminate  the conversation at the beginning of the conversation. 

Ephesians 2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

THE SAMARITAN IS NOT ABLE TO DISCERN THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

Jesus is saying that a person can be at the source of the “living water” without discerning the portal of salvation and eternal life that is within her reach. 

John 7:37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

JESUS PRESENTS THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THE WOMAN AS HER INNER LIFE GIVING RESOURCE

John 4: 11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?” 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”

We can learn a valuable lesson from Jesus here; Jesus is able to weave His presentation of the Holy Spirit into the woman’s natural need for water at the well of Jacob. Jesus did not need a platform to present the gospel of salvation to this woman. His presentation of the Holy Spirit as an everlasting life giving flow of water caused the woman to reveal her inner desire to end her continual thirst. This characteristic feature of Jesus’s ministry teaches us the skill of using natural circumstances as an opportunity to present the gospel of salvation.

JESUS IS NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE PUBLIC PERCEPTION OF HIS ASSOCIATION WITH THOSE WHO ARE DESPISED

John 4:16 Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.” 17 The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.” 19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 

Jesus knew the personal life of this woman from the beginning. She did not choose to talk to Him. Jesus chose her inspite of knowing her complete personal history.

John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you ….

Ephesians 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world …..

1 John 4:19 We love Him because He first loved us.

Jesus strategically chose this woman to be His witness to the Samaritans. He chose a woman who had been married five times; she was presently living with another man.

Jesus chooses her to be His witness to the Samaritans. His choice is His Divine prerogative as Sovereign Lord. It is His Kingdom. He was not concerned about His public image; He was focussed on His Divine mandate. He gave His life for this woman and millions of others like her. 

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

JESUS BREAKS THE MIDDLE WALL OF SEPARATION (Ephesians 2:14-16)

John 4:20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.” 21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” 25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”

Jesus is the Mediator who reconciles sinful humanity with God through His death on the Cross. He dispels the notion that one location of worship is preferred over the other; He declares that the Father desires those who worship Him in spirit and in truth. Jesus discloses His identity to this woman as the Messiah, her Savior, her Redeemer. 

THE SPIRIT OF IMPARTATION IS A CHARACTERISTIC FEATURE OF THE MINISTRY OF JESUS

John 4: 28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 29 “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” 30 Then they went out of the city and came to Him.

The encounter with Jesus released the woman into her purpose; to witness to the others in the city. She refers the people in the city to the One who set her free. (“Come see a Man ….. could this be the Christ”)

Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”

This is the exactly the emancipation that this woman experienced after her encounter with Jesus. 

OTHER CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES OF CHRIST

RIGHTEOUS ANGER 

The wrath of the Lord is activated when He witnesses activities that bring the righteous integrity of the Temple into disrepute…. the profaning of the Temple. 

Matthew 21:12 Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of thieves.”

Jesus expressed His displeasure with the religious leaders who presented themselves outwardly as pious and devoted to God, but were inwardly unrighteous, corrupt and lacked faithfulness and mercy.

Matthew 12:34
34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

God lives in us and works through us. Forgiveness is granted by the Almighty Lord. Righteousness dwells in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Christ in us is the hope of glory. Our righteousness and justice come only through Christ in us.

The character of Christ in us is one of the deepest expressions of the Christian life — it’s about allowing the essence of Jesus to transform the way we think, act, and love. This transformation is not merely external, but a continuous inner renewal, shaped by the Holy Spirit.

 *What Does It Mean to Have the Character of Christ?*

*To have the character of Christ is to reflect attributes such as:*

– *Humility:* Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, showing that serving is greater than being served.  

– *Obedience:* Even in the face of the cross, He submitted to the will of the Father.  

– *Sacrificial love*: He loved even His enemies and gave Himself for all.  

– *Justice and truth:* He taught with authority, but always with compassion. 

 

– *Perseverance:* He endured rejection, pain, and death with unwavering faith.

🔥 *How Is This Character Formed in Us?*

*The process involves:*

– Partnership with the Holy Spirit: He guides, exhorts, and comforts us.  

– Sensitivity to God’s voice: Learning to listen and obey.  

– Circumstances as divine tools: God uses difficult situations to shape our inner being.  

– *Humility* and brokenness: Recognizing our flaws and allowing God to heal and transform us.  

– The principle of the Established Man must never be broken.

📖 *Biblical Foundations*

– “We are transformed from glory to glory into His own image, by the Spirit of the Lord.” — *2 Corinthians 3:18*

– “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” — *Colossians 1:27* 

– “Until we all reach… the measure of the fullness of Christ.” — *Ephesians 4:13*

– Words that build up and do not harm.  

– Commitment to truth, even when it comes at a cost.

A MANIFESTAÇÃO DO CARÁTER DE CRISTO NO CRENTE

Os crentes devem abraçar a natureza divina multifacetada de Cristo. Examinemos as características de Cristo Jesus que foram pessoalmente experimentadas pela mulher junto ao poço. Jesus é a personificação da PLENITUDE DA GRAÇA.

João 4:1-3 1 Portanto, quando o Senhor soube que os fariseus tinham ouvido que Jesus fez e batizou mais discípulos do que João 2 (embora o próprio Jesus não batizasse, mas seus discípulos), 3 Ele deixou a Judéia e partiu novamente para a Galiléia.

PREVENÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS DESNECESSÁRIOS

Jesus revela Sua sabedoria divina como um construtor estratégico quando soube da crescente inveja e hostilidade contra Ele pelos fariseus por causa do número crescente de Seus discípulos. Jesus sabia que qualquer forma de disputa seria uma distração desnecessária de Sua designação. O que Jesus nos ensina neste relato? Devemos aprender a evitar disputas que desperdiçariam nosso tempo. Isso não é um sinal de fraqueza ou uma manifestação de comportamento de evitação; é simplesmente priorizar nossa tarefa sobre as batalhas que drenariam nossa virtude.

DECISÃO DE PASSAR POR SAMARIA

João 4:4-6 4 Mas Ele precisava passar pro Samaria. 5 E chegou a uma cidade de Samaria, chamada Sicar, perto do terreno que Jacó dera a seu filho José. 6 Ora, ali estava o poço de Jacó. Jesus, pois, cansado de sua jornada, sentou-se assim junto ao poço. Era cerca da sexta hora.

Agora, a razão para evitar as hostilidades na Judéia torna-se evidentemente clara, pois o propósito de Jesus era estender a graça da salvação àqueles que estavam fora da fé judaica. Jesus “precisava passar por Samaria”, o que implica que Jesus estava totalmente investido na visão do Pai Eterno para levar o evangelho àqueles que foram condenados ao ostracismo, marginalizados e desprezados pela sociedade.

João 10:16 E tenho outras ovelhas que não são deste aprisco; a eles também devo trazer, e eles ouvirão a minha voz; e haverá um só rebanho e um só pastor.

Marcos 2:17 Jesus, ouvindo isso, disse-lhes: “Os sãos não precisam de médico, mas sim os doentes. Não vim chamar justos, mas pecadores, ao arrependimento.”

UMA MULHER MARGINALIZADA PELA SOCIEDADE ENCONTRA SEU SALVADOR / REDENTOR

João 4:7 Uma mulher de Samaria veio tirar água. Jesus disse-lhe: “Dá-me de beber”. 8 Pois os seus discípulos tinham ido à cidade comprar mantimento. 9 Então a mulher samaritana lhe disse: “Como é que você, sendo judeu, pede de beber a mim, uma mulher samaritana?” Pois os judeus não têm relações com os samaritanos.

Aqui está outro traço característico de Cristo. Jesus não demonstra o preconceito e a discriminação social praticados entre os judeus. Ele está completamente focado em seu propósito, que é tornar o evangelho da salvação disponível para toda a humanidade. No entanto, a decisão de aceitar a oferta de salvação e vida eterna depende inteiramente do indivíduo. A mulher samaritana tinha o direito de encerrar a conversa no início da conversa.

Efésios 2:14 Porque ele mesmo é a nossa paz, o qual de ambos os fez um, e derrubou o muro de separação do meio, 15 destruindo em sua carne a inimizade, isto é, a lei dos mandamentos contidos em ordenanças, para criar em si mesmo um novo homem dentre os dois, fazendo assim a paz, 16 e para reconciliá-los com Deus em um só corpo pela cruz, matando assim a inimizade.

O SAMARITANO NÃO É CAPAZ DE DISCERNIR A PRESENÇA DO SENHOR

João 4:10 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Se tu conhecesses o dom de Deus, e quem é o que te diz: Dá-me de beber, tu lhepedirias, e ele te daria água viva.

Jesus está dizendo que uma pessoa pode estar na fonte da “água viva” sem discernir o portal da salvação e da vida eterna que está ao seu alcance.

João 7:37 No último dia, o grande dia da festa, Jesus se levantou e clamou, dizendo: “Se alguém tem sede, venha a mim e beba. 38 Quem crê em mim, como diz a Escritura, do seu coração correrão rios de água viva.

JESUS APRESENTA O ESPÍRITO SANTO À MULHER COMO SEU RECURSO VIVIFICANTE INTERIOR

João 4:11 Disse-lhe a mulher: “Senhor, não tens com que tirar, e o poço é fundo. De onde então você obtém essa água viva? 12 Você é maior do que nosso pai Jacó, que nos deu o poço e bebeu dele, assim como seus filhos e seus rebanhos? 13 Jesus respondeu e disse-lhe: “Quem beber desta água tornará a ter sede, 14 mas quem beber da água que eu lhe der nunca mais terá sede. Mas a água que eu lhe der se tornará nele uma fonte de água que jorra para a vida eterna.” 15 Disse-lhe a mulher: Senhor, dá-me dessa água, para que eu não tenha sede, nem venha aqui a tirar.

Podemos aprender uma lição valiosa de Jesus aqui; Jesus é capaz de tecer Sua apresentação do Espírito Santo na necessidade natural da mulher por água no poço de Jacó. Jesus não precisava de uma plataforma para apresentar o evangelho da salvação a essa mulher. Sua apresentação do Espírito Santo como um fluxo de água vivificante e eterno fez com que a mulher revelasse seu desejo interior de acabar com sua sede contínua. Esse traço característico do ministério de Jesus nos ensina a habilidade de usar as circunstâncias naturais como uma oportunidade para apresentar o evangelho da salvação.

JESUS NÃO SE PREOCUPA COM A PERCEPÇÃO PÚBLICA DE SUA ASSOCIAÇÃO COM OS DESPREZADOS

João 4:16 Jesus disse-lhe: “Vá, chame seu marido e venha para cá”. 17 A mulher respondeu e disse: “Não tenho marido”. Jesus lhe disse: “Você disse bem: ‘Não tenho marido’, 18 pois você teve cinco maridos, e aquele que você tem agora não é seu marido; nisso você falou a verdade. 19 Disse-lhe a mulher: Senhor, vejo que és profeta.

Jesus conhecia a vida pessoal dessa mulher desde o início. Ela não escolheu falar com Ele. Jesus a escolheu apesar de conhecer sua história pessoal completa.

João 15:16 Não fostes vós que me escolhestes, mas eu vos escolhi a vós…

Efésios 1:4 assim como Ele nos escolheu nele antes da fundação do mundo…..

1 João 4:19 Nós O amamos porque Ele nos amou primeiro.

Jesus escolheu estrategicamente essa mulher para ser Sua testemunha aos samaritanos. Ele escolheu uma mulher que havia se casado cinco vezes; ela estava morando com outro homem.

Jesus a escolhe para ser Sua testemunha aos samaritanos. Sua escolha é Sua prerrogativa Divina como Senhor Soberano. É o Seu Reino. Ele não estava preocupado com Sua imagem pública; Ele estava focado em Seu mandato divino. Ele deu Sua vida por essa mulher e milhões de outras como ela.

Filipenses 2:5 Tende em vós o mesmo sentimento que houve também em Cristo Jesus, 6 o qual, sendo em forma de Deus, não teve por usurpação ser igual a Deus, 7 mas esvaziou-se a si mesmo, assumindo a forma de servo e tornando-se semelhante aos homens. 8 E, achado na forma de homem, humilhou-se a si mesmo, e obedeceu até à morte, e morte de cruz. 9 Por isso também Deus o exaltou soberanamente, e lhe deu o nome que está acima de todo nome,

JESUS QUEBRA O MURO DE SEPARAÇÃO DO MEIO (Efésios 2:14-16)

João 4:20 Nossos pais adoraram neste monte, e vocês, judeus, dizem que em Jerusalém é o lugar onde se deve adorar. 21 Disse-lhe Jesus: Mulher, creia-me, vem a hora em que nem neste monte, nem em Jerusalém, adorareis o Pai. 22 Vocês adoram o que não conhecem; sabemos o que adoramos, pois a salvação vem dos judeus. 23 Mas vem a hora, e já chegou, em que os verdadeiros adoradores adorarão o Pai em espírito e verdade; pois o Pai está procurando tais para adorá-Lo. 24 Deus é Espírito, e aqueles que o adoram devem adorá-lo em espírito e verdade”. 25 Disse-lhe a mulher: Sei que vem o Messias, chamado Cristo. “Quando Ele vier, Ele nos dirá todas as coisas.” 26 Disse-lhe Jesus: Eu, que te falo, sou ele

Jesus é o Mediador que reconcilia a humanidade pecadora com Deus por meio de Sua morte na cruz. Ele dissipa a noção de que um local de culto é preferido ao outro; Ele declara que o Pai deseja aqueles que O adoram em espírito e em verdade. Jesus revela Sua identidade a essa mulher como o Messias, seu Salvador, seu Redentor.

O ESPÍRITO DE TRANSMISSÃO É UM TRAÇO CARACTERÍSTICO DO MINISTÉRIO DE JESUS

João 4:28 Então a mulher deixou o seu cântaro, foi para a cidade e disse aos homens: 29 “Vinde, vede um homem que me disse tudo o que eu já fiz. Poderia ser este o Cristo?” 30 Então saíram da cidade e foram ter com ele.

O encontro com Jesus liberou a mulher em seu propósito; para dar testemunho aos outros na cidade. Ela remete as pessoas da cidade Àquele que a libertou. (“Venha ver um homem ….. poderia ser este o Cristo”)

Isaías 61:1 “O Espírito do Senhor Deus está sobre mim, porque o Senhor me ungiu para pregar boas novas aos pobres; Ele me enviou para curar os quebrantados de coração, para proclamar liberdade aos cativos e a abertura da prisão aos presos; 2 para proclamar o ano aceitável do SENHOR, e o dia da vingança do nosso Deus; Para consolar todos os que choram, 3 Para consolar os que choram em Sião, Para dar-lhes beleza em vez de cinza, O óleo de alegria em vez de luto, A vestimenta de louvor em vez de espírito angustiado; para que sejam chamadas árvores de justiça, plantação do Senhor, para que seja glorificado.”

Esta é exatamente a emancipação que esta mulher experimentou após seu encontro com Jesus.

OUTROS ASPECTOS CARACTERÍSTICOS DE CRISTO

A ira do Senhor é ativada quando Ele testemunha atividades que trazem descrédito à integridade justa do Templo. a profanação do Templo.

Mateus 21:12 Então Jesus entrou no templo de Deus e expulsou todos os que compravam e vendiam no templo, e derrubou as mesas dos cambistas e os assentos dos que vendiam pombas. 13 E disse-lhes: Está escrito: A minha casa será chamada casa de oração, mas vós fizestes dela um covil de ladrões.

Jesus expressou Seu descontentamento com os líderes religiosos que se apresentavam externamente como piedosos e devotados a Deus, mas eram interiormente injustos, corruptos e careciam de fidelidade e misericórdia.

Mateus 12:34 Ninhada de víboras! Como podeis, sendo maus, falar coisas boas? Pois a boca fala do que está cheio o coração.

Deus vive em nós e trabalha através de nós. O perdão é concedido pelo Senhor Todo-Poderoso. A justiça habita em Deus Pai, Deus Filho e Deus Espírito Santo.

Cristo em nós é a esperança da glória. Nossa retidão e justiça vêm somente por meio de Cristo em nós.

O caráter de Cristo em nós é uma das expressões mais profundas da vida cristã – trata-se de permitir que a essência de Jesus transforme a maneira como pensamos, agimos e amamos. Essa transformação não é meramente externa, mas uma contínua renovação interior, moldada pelo Espírito Santo.

*O que significa ter o caráter de Cristo? *

* Ter o caráter de Cristo é refletir atributos como:

– *Humildade:* Jesus lavou os pés dos discípulos, mostrando que servir é maior do que ser servido.

– Parceria com o Espírito Santo: Ele nos guia, exorta e conforta.

– Sensibilidade à voz de Deus: Aprender a ouvir e obedecer.

– Circunstâncias como ferramentas divinas: Deus usa situações difíceis para moldar nosso ser interior.

– *Humildade* e quebrantamento: Reconhecer nossas falhas e permitir que Deus nos cure e transforme.

– O princípio do Homem Estabelecido nunca deve ser quebrado.

Genesis 1:28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

DOMINION  Genesis 1 has been the key scripture that we have been using in our sphere concerning the Divine mandate assigned to the human being, the highest form of creation, to subdue, rule and govern all that God has created. God establishes the heirarchy of authority. Our rule does not include ruling over the souls of human beings.

BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY

CHURCH GROWTH

Acts 6:7 Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Paul’s ministry in the school of Tyrannus

Acts 19:8 And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God. 9 But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. 10 And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

Paul did not squander his time in the synagogue where his message was rejected. 

He changed his strategy; he began teaching the disciples daily at the school of Tyrannus. The fruit of his ministry was that all who dwelt in Asia Minor heard the Word of the Lord. 

PRACTICE OF EARLY CHURCH CULTURE CAUSED CHURCH GROWTH

Acts 2:46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved

ABIDING IN THE VINE

John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

This scripture highlights the demand for a covenantal relationship with the Lord. Also read my commentary (Enemies of the Harvest) in Judges 6 for the consequences of covenantal violations.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Study the lives of Joseph, Ruth, Hannah, Jonathan and David and others to observe the fruit of the Spirit

OBEDIENCE TO THE PROCEEDING WORD OF THE LORD

Luke 5:4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” 5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

The key word here is “nevertheless” (Verse 5)

The Greek word for “nevertheless” is ….. dé; a particle standing after one or two words in a clause, strictly adversative, but more frequently denoting transition or conversion, and serving to introduce something else, whether opposed to what precedes or simply continuative or explanatory (Extracted from CWSB Dictionary)

This word implies that inspite of the preceding circumstances, where they toiled all night and caught nothing, Simon chose to obey the Word of the Lord and launch out into the deep. This is a “proceeding” Word that brought a great harvest because of the obedience of Simon.

ENEMIES OF THE HARVEST  Our fruitfulness is determined by maintaining a covenantal relationship with the Lord. The Lord judged Israel when they abandoned their covenant to worship idols. This relates to the words of Jesus in John 15:7 regarding believers having an “abiding  relationship” in Him.

Judges 6:1 Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD. So the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian for seven years, 2 and the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel. Because of the Midianites, the children of Israel made for themselves the dens, the caves, and the strongholds which are in the mountains. 3 So it was, whenever Israel had sown, Midianites would come up; also Amalekites and the people of the East would come up against them. 4 Then they would encamp against them and destroy the produce of the earth as far as Gaza, and leave no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep nor ox nor donkey. 5 For they would come up with their livestock and their tents, coming in as numerous as locusts; both they and their camels were without number; and they would enter the land to destroy it. 6 So Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD

Seven years of relentless oppression and occurred when the Lord delivered His people into the hands of the Medianites. The Medianite is the Lord’s highly specialised instrument of judgement that is compared to an army of locusts. They devoured everything in sight and left Israel “greatly impoverished”.

This is the recurring pattern in the book of Judges when the people of God became apostate and worshipped idols and they were subject to the judgement of the Lord.

The people of God were unable to be fruitful whilst the Medianites were in the region.They cried out to the Lord; they had to put away the idols that they worshipped; they had to return to honor their covenant with the Lord and His Word. 

Joel 2:12 “Now, therefore,” says the LORD, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” 13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness;And He relents from doing harm. 14 Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him— A grain offering and a drink offering For the LORD your God?

We must be careful that we do not embrace the Assyrian model which is not dominion but “domination”

THE ASSYRIAN MODEL The Assyrian model reveals an abuse of power and authority, bringing those who have been conquered under subjugation. This model ignores the reality that man is made in the image of God. This model violates human dignity and is exploitative and dominating. It demands the payment of tributes and it leads to the eventual loss of autonomy. 

BIBLICAL FRUITFULNESS

1. Fruitfulness as God’s Blessing Genesis 1:28 – “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.’”

Fruitfulness begins as a blessing from God, not human effort. It means multiplication, growth, increase, and producing results. It’s more than financial success—it includes spiritual maturity, character transformation, and kingdom impact.We,  as disciples of  Christ, should be increasing in our faith, becoming more Christlike, and transforming into His image.

2. The Call to Bear Good Fruit Matthew 7:17–19 – “Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit…”

Our lives are recognized by the fruit we produce. Good fruit flows from a heart transformed by God. Fruitlessness—or producing bad fruit—leads to judgment.

3. Fruitfulness Brings Glory to God John 15:8 – “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”

The ultimate purpose of fruitfulness is God’s glory. Bearing fruit proves we are true disciples of Christ. Our lives should testify not to our greatness but to His.

4. The Importance of Good Soil Matthew 13:8 – “But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

The heart is the soil where the Word is planted. We must guard against weeds, stones, and thorns that choke the seed. Believers must keep their hearts soft, receptive, and ready for God’s Word.

5. Fruit Through Repentance and Death to Self Matthew 3:8 – “Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.”

John 12:24 – “Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.”

True repentance is more than words—it produces change. Fruitfulness requires surrender: old ways, pride, and selfish desires must “die” so that new life can spring forth. A truly fruitful life is one where repentance and death to self lead to transformation and spiritual multiplication.

6. Hearing, Understanding, and Producing Matthew 13:23 – “He who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit…”

Fruitfulness requires not only hearing but understanding and applying God’s Word. Fruit grows in proportion to how deeply God’s truth takes root in us.

7. Abiding in the Vine John 15:1, 5 – “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser… He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

Jesus is the Vine; we are the branches. Fruitfulness comes from staying connected to Him, submitting to God’s pruning, and remaining in His Word.

8. The Indwelling Seed: God’s Word

1 John 3:9 – “…His seed remains in him.”

Colossians 3:16 – “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…”

God’s Word is the seed of life within us. When His Word dwells richly in us, it shapes our character and flows out in wisdom, song, and encouragement to others.

9. Walking in the Word 2 John 1:4 – “I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, just as we were commanded by the Father.”

1 Thessalonians 4:1 – ” ….you should abound more and more… how you ought to walk and to please God.”

1 John 2:14 – “…the Word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.”

Fruitfulness is shown not only in what we believe but in how we walk. A fruitful believer lives in truth, pleases God, and overcomes the enemy by the power of the Word.

10. Hindrances to Fruitfulness Psalm 1:1–2 – “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.”

Fruitfulness can be stunted or lost when we allow the wrong influences to shape our hearts. Ungodly counsel leads us astray, compromise weakens our witness, and cynicism hardens the heart. In contrast, fruitfulness grows when we delight in the Word of God and meditate on it continually.

11. The Results of Fruitfulness Psalm 1:3 – “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”

When a believer walks in God’s ways, the fruit is evident: stability (firmly rooted in trials), productivity (bearing fruit in season), endurance (not withering), and prosperity (thriving under God’s favor). This is the picture of a life connected to God: flourishing, impactful, and enduring.

O ministério de Paulo na escola de Tirano

Atos 19:8-10 8 E entrou na sinagoga e falou ousadamente por três meses, arrazoando e persuadindo acerca das coisas do reino de Deus. 9 Mas, quando alguns se endureceram e não creram, mas falaram mal do Caminho diante da multidão, ele se afastou deles e retirou os discípulos, arrazoando todos os dias na escola de Tirano. 10 E isso durou dois anos, de modo que todos os que habitavam na Ásia ouviram a palavra do Senhor Jesus, tanto judeus como gregos.

Paulo não desperdiçou seu tempo na sinagoga onde sua mensagem foi rejeitada.

Ele mudou sua estratégia; ele começou a ensinar os discípulos diariamente na escola de Tirano. O fruto de seu ministério foi que todos os que habitavam na Ásia Menor ouviram a Palavra do Senhor.

A PRÁTICA DA CULTURA DA IGREJA PRIMITIVA CAUSOU O CRESCIMENTO DA IGREJA

 Atos 2:46 Perseverando todos os dias unânimes no templo, e partindo o pão de casa em casa, comiam o que comiam com alegria e simplicidade de coração, 47 louvando a Deus e caindo na graça de todo o povo. E o Senhor acrescentava à igreja diariamente aqueles que estavam sendo salvos

PERMANECENDO NA VIDEIRA

 João 15:7 Se permanecerdes em mim, e as minhas palavras permanecerem em vós, pedireis o que quiserdes, e vos será feito. 8 Nisto é glorificado meu Pai, que deis muito fruto; assim sereis Meus discípulos.

FRUTO DO ESPÍRITO

OBEDIÊNCIA À PALAVRA PROCEDENTE DO SENHOR

 Lucas 5:4 E, parando de falar, disse a Simão: Lança-te ao largo e lança as redes para pescar. 5 Mas Simão respondeu e disse-lhe: “Mestre, trabalhamos a noite toda e não apanhamos nada; no entanto, com a tua palavra, lançarei a rede.” 6 E, tendo feito isso, apanharam uma grande quantidade de peixes, e a sua rede se rompia.

A palavra-chave aqui é “no entanto” (versículo 5)

A palavra grega para “no entanto” é ….. dé; uma partícula que fica após uma ou duas palavras em uma oração, estritamente adversativa, mas mais frequentemente denotando transição ou conversão, e servindo para introduzir outra coisa, seja oposta ao que precede ou simplesmente contínua ou explicativa  (Extraído do Dicionário CWSB)

 Esta palavra implica que, apesar das circunstâncias anteriores, onde eles trabalharam a noite toda e não pegaram nada, Simão escolheu obedecer à Palavra do Senhor e se lançar ao largo. Esta é uma Palavra “procedente” que trouxe uma grande colheita por causa da obediência de Simão.

INIMIGOS DA COLHEITA 

Nossa fecundidade é determinada pela manutenção de um relacionamento de aliança com o Senhor. O Senhor julgou Israel quando eles abandonaram sua aliança de adorar ídolos. Isso se relaciona com as palavras de Jesus em João 15:7 sobre os crentes terem um “relacionamento permanente” Nele.

 Juízes 6:1 Então os filhos de Israel fizeram o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor. Então o Senhor os entregou nas mãos de Midiã por sete anos, 2 e a mão de Midiã prevaleceu contra Israel. Por causa dos midianitas, os filhos de Israel fizeram para si as covas, as cavernas e as fortalezas que estão nas montanhas. 3 E sucedeu que, sempre que Israel semeava, subiam midianitas; também os amalequitas e os povos do Oriente subiriam contra eles. 4 Então acampariam contra eles e destruiriam os produtos da terra até Gaza, e não deixariam sustento para Israel, nem ovelhas, nem bois, nem jumentos. 5 Pois eles subiam com seus rebanhos e suas tendas, chegando em grande número como gafanhotos; tanto eles quanto seus camelos eram inumeráveis; e eles entrariam na terra para destruí-la. 6 Assim, Israel empobreceu muito por causa dos midianitas, e os filhos de Israel clamaram ao Senhor

Sete anos de opressão implacável ocorreram quando o Senhor entregou Seu povo nas mãos dos midianitas. A midianita é o instrumento de julgamento altamente especializado do Senhor, que é comparado a um exército de gafanhotos. Eles devoraram tudo à vista e deixaram Israel “muito empobrecido”.

Este é o padrão recorrente no livro de Juízes quando o povo de Deus se tornou apóstata e adorou ídolos e eles estavam sujeitos ao julgamento do Senhor.

O povo de Deus não pôde ser frutífero enquanto os medianitas estavam na região. Eles clamaram ao Senhor; eles tiveram que afastar os ídolos que adoravam; eles tiveram que voltar para honrar sua aliança com o Senhor e Sua Palavra.

Joel 2:12 Agora, pois, diz o Senhor, voltai-vos para mim de todo o vosso coração, com jejum, com choro e com luto. 13 Rasgai, pois, o vosso coração, e não as vossas vestes; Convertei-vos ao Senhor vosso Deus, porque ele é misericordioso e misericordioso, tardio em irar-se e de grande bondade; E Ele se arrepende de fazer o mal. 14 Quem sabe se ele se converterá e se arrependerá, e deixará uma bênção atrás de si, uma oferta de manjares e uma libação para o Senhor teu Deus?

Devemos ter cuidado para não abraçar o modelo assírio que não é domínio, mas “dominação”

O MODELO ASSÍRIO

O modelo assírio revela um abuso de poder e autoridade, subjugando aqueles que foram conquistados. Este modelo ignora a realidade de que o homem é feito à imagem de Deus. Este modelo viola a dignidade humana e é explorador e dominador. Exige o pagamento de tributos e leva à eventual perda de autonomia.

 FECUNDIDADE BÍBLICA

1. Fecundidade como bênção de Deus

Gênesis 1:28 – “Então Deus os abençoou, e Deus lhes disse: ‘Sede fecundos e multiplicai-vos; encha a terra e sujeite-a.'”

 A fecundidade começa como uma bênção de Deus, não como esforço humano. Significa multiplicação, crescimento, aumento e produção de resultados. É mais do que sucesso financeiro – inclui maturidade espiritual, transformação de caráter e impacto no reino. Nós, como discípulos de Cristo, devemos aumentar nossa fé, tornar-nos mais semelhantes a Cristo e nos transformar à Sua imagem.

2. O Chamado para Dar Bom Fruto

Mateus 7:17–19 – “Toda árvore boa dá bom fruto, mas a árvore má dá maus frutos…”

 Nossas vidas são reconhecidas pelos frutos que produzimos. Um bom fruto flui de um coração transformado por Deus. A inutilidade — ou a produção de frutos ruins — leva ao julgamento.

3. A fecundidade traz glória a Deus João 15:8 – “Nisto é glorificado meu Pai, que deis muito fruto; então vocês serão meus discípulos.”

O propósito final da fecundidade é a glória de Deus. Dar fruto prova que somos verdadeiros discípulos de Cristo. Nossa vida deve testemunhar não nossa grandeza, mas a Dele.

4. A Importância do Bom Solo

Mateus 13:8 – “Mas outros caíram em boa terra e deram colheita: alguns cem, outros sessenta, outros trinta.”

 O coração é o solo onde a Palavra é plantada. Devemos nos proteger contra ervas daninhas, pedras e espinhos que sufocam a semente. Os crentes devem manter seus corações suaves, receptivos e prontos para a Palavra de Deus.

5. Fruto através do arrependimento e morte para si mesmo

Mateus 3:8 – “Portanto, dai frutos dignos de arrependimento.”

João 12:24 – “Se o grão de trigo, caindo na terra, não morrer, fica ele só; mas, se morrer, produz muito grão.”

O verdadeiro arrependimento é mais do que palavras — produz mudanças. A fecundidade requer entrega: os velhos hábitos, o orgulho e os desejos egoístas devem “morrer” para que uma nova vida possa brotar. Uma vida verdadeiramente frutífera é aquela em que o arrependimento e a morte para si mesmo levam à transformação e à multiplicação espiritual

6. Ouvindo, Entendendo e Produzindo  Mateus 13:23 – “Aquele que recebeu a semente em boa terra é aquele que ouve a palavra e a entende, que de fato dá fruto…”

 A fecundidade requer não apenas ouvir, mas entender e aplicar a Palavra de Deus. O fruto cresce na proporção de quão profundamente a verdade de Deus se enraíza em nós.

7. Permanecendo na Videira

João 15:1, 5 – “Eu sou a videira verdadeira, e meu Pai é o vinhateiro… Quem permanece em mim, e eu nele, dá muito fruto; pois sem Mim nada podeis fazer.”

Jesus é a Videira; nós somos os ramos. A fecundidade vem de permanecer conectado a Ele, submeter-se à poda de Deus e permanecer em Sua Palavra.

8. A Semente Interior: A Palavra de Deus

 1 João 3:9 – “… Sua semente permanece nele.”

Colossenses 3:16 – “Habite ricamente em vós a palavra de Cristo…”

A Palavra de Deus é a semente da vida dentro de nós. Quando Sua Palavra habita ricamente em nós, ela molda nosso caráter e flui em sabedoria, música e encorajamento para os outros.

9. Andando na Palavra

2 João 1:4 – “Alegrei-me muito por ter achado alguns de teus filhos andando na verdade, assim como nos foi ordenado pelo Pai.” 

 1 Tessalonicenses 4:1 – “… deveis abundar cada vez mais… como deves andar e agradar a Deus.”

 1 João 2:14 – “… a Palavra de Deus permanece em ti, e venceste o maligno.”

A fecundidade é mostrada não apenas no que acreditamos, mas em como caminhamos. Um crente frutífero vive na verdade, agrada a Deus e vence o inimigo pelo poder da Palavra.

10. Obstáculos à fecundidade

Salmo 1:1–2 – “Bem-aventurado o homem que não anda segundo o conselho dos ímpios, nem se detém no caminho dos pecadores, nem se assenta na roda dos escarnecedores; mas o seu prazer está na lei do Senhor, e na sua lei medita dia e noite.”

 A fecundidade pode ser atrofiada ou perdida quando permitimos que as influências erradas moldem nossos corações. O conselho ímpio nos desvia, o compromisso enfraquece nosso testemunho e o cinismo endurece o coração. Em contraste, a fecundidade cresce quando nos deleitamos na Palavra de Deus e meditamos nela continuamente

11. Os Resultados da Fecundidade

Salmo 1:3 – “Ele será como uma árvore plantada junto aos ribeiros de águas, que dá o seu fruto a seu tempo, cuja folha também não murchará; e tudo o que ele fizer prosperará.”

 Quando um crente anda nos caminhos de Deus, o fruit é evidente: estabilidade (firmemente enraizado nas provações), produtividade (dando frutos na estação), perseverança (não murchando) e prosperidade (prosperando sob o favor de Deus). Esta é a imagem de uma vida conectada a Deus: florescente, impactante e  duradouro

Acts 15:7 And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8 So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, 9 and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10 Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they.”

It is necessary for believers to “contend for the faith”. Peter was not silent in this dispute. The next generation must be informed concerning religious ceremonial laws and customs (yoke) that their fathers found to be  “unbearable”

Jude 1:3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

Greek word for “contend” epagōnízomai – to strive, contend earnestly. To fight for or in reference to something, with the dat. of that which gives the occasion (Jude 1:3)

Believers must contend for the faith without being contentious. This is the “good fight of faith” that Paul declared.

This is defending our faith using the truth of the gospel. We are contending against the ceremonial rituals and laws of the Old Covenant and the traditions of men.

Peter was defending his calling by the Lord to pioneer the ministry to the Gentiles.

The Lord demonstrated His Divine, Sovereign prerogative to choose Peter by orchestrating his connection with Cornelius. The Lord had to confront the theology and prejudice of Peter when Peter saw all the animals on the great white sheet, including those that were forbidden by the law for Jews to eat. 

Colossians 2:16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

Peter was rebuked by the Lord for prioritising his Jewish dietary restrictions above the voice of the God for that present time and for treating with profanity (making common) that which the Lord has cleansed. The Cross is our “great sheet” revelation descending from above.

Having this phenomenal Divine encounter with the Lord, Peter presents his own defense before the Jerusalem Council. 

Acts 15:8 So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, 9 and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 

OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECIES CONCERNING THE GENTILES RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT

Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring;

Joel 2:28 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.

When the 120 disciples witnessed the mighty visitation of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, it was the same Peter who raised his voice and explained this supernatural Divine visitation as the manifestation of the prophecy of Joel. Those who obediently “waited upon the Promise of the Lord” were empowered and spoke in diverse languages. 

Acts 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.

OUR LEGACY DOES NOT INCLUDE THE TRANSFER OF AN UNBEARABLE YOKE 

Acts 15:10 Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

We must be careful to note that the yoke in this context relates to the need for circumcision inorder to be saved. The yoke is not a rejection of all the moral laws, statutes, ordinances and decrees of God. The “yoke” specifically relates to ceremonial and ritualistic laws that were intolerable and burdensome to the fathers; prioritising external observances, appearances and religious piety over the internal construction of Christ through the application of the entirety of the Word of God. 

Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”

Romans 7:12 Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

THE YOKE OF CHRIST JESUS Jesus invites the believer who is weary and burdened to take His yoke to find rest for the soul. This is the yoke that we confidently pass down as a legacy to the next generation. 

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

SALVATION – THE GIFT OF GOD

Acts 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they.”

We must not complicate the gift of salvation. We will use the Philippian jailer and his family as an example.

Acts 16:29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.

The question is asked……. “What must I do to be saved?”

The response ……  “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

We see in this account that salvation is the gift of God. Like we say, we are saved ……

LEAVING A LEGACY

There is a weight of building for many years and also of growing older each year in the work of God. The legacy we are leaving must be present in every area of ​​the culture of God’s people.

We pray that the next generation will carry on this culture. It is important that we be wholehearted in order to perfectly pass on the Lord’s perfect dogmas to the New Generation.

Acts 15:7-11. After much discussion, Peter spoke up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that God made a choice among you long ago that through me the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. Now God, who knows the hearts, bore witness to them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he did to us. And he made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now then, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that we were saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they were.

This method concerns circumcision. Paul explained that there was much more to it than physical circumcision. Paul was concerned about the new generation that was coming. We should be concerned about the next generation of leaders and what they are learning today.

Leaders are more concerned with ritualistic cultures than teachings. Ritualistic forms and clothing are no longer necessary in the way God looks at hearts. The greatest circumcision is that which is in our hearts.

The next generation needs to be free from the imposed weight of natural rituals; they did not bring holiness. It is difficult to pass on the vision when Peter was the one who received it; it is difficult to explain the vision to critics.

Gen. 17:9. And God said to Abraham, “You shall keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.”

In this season, the Lord’s laws are written on the tablets of our hearts. Today, we must understand that we are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. The circumcision of this time is more elevated; it was made in the blood of Christ.

God destroyed the Old Temple to build a new temple; a new culture was born stronger in Jesus Christ. God was able to elevate his culture in Jesus Christ so that everyone in the world could be reached. The new generation will always be spiritually updated.

Deuteronomy 10:12-19. “And now, O Israel, what does the Lord require of you? To fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep the Lord’s commandments and his statutes which I command you today for your good?” Behold, the heavens, even the highest heavens, belong to the Lord your God; the earth, and everything in it. Only the LORD set his affection on your fathers to love them; he chose you, their descendants, above all peoples, as it is today. Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not harden your necks. For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor accepts bribes, who executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving them food and clothing. Love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Something greater must happen after natural circumcision. God pointed out to Abraham a new generation that would receive something much greater.

The argument is how we will bring people from the outside in, but when we impose rules, we will drive people away from celebrating the name of Jesus with us.

The systems of lawlessness must be illuminated in God’s house so that people receive God’s true culture.

The walls of separation must be destroyed. Jesus is the destroyer of walls. He went to Samaria, to the home of Simon the leper and Zacchaeus. God’s culture must unite people who are outsiders.

Eph 2:13-14. But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the middle wall of hostility that stood between us.

Everyone should have equal access to the house, even when there are differences. We should not display our preferences but rather display the image of Christ in our bodies.

There are many leaders who are testing God, placing burdens and accessories around the necks of those who want to receive Christ as their savior.

The Light for the salvation of the people is Christ, not ritualistic things.

Cornelius and Peter’s legacy: the vision of impure things ends when we introduce Christ perfectly into people’s lives.

É necessário que os crentes “lutem pela fé”. Pedro não ficou calado nesta disputa. A próxima geração deve ser informada sobre as leis e costumes cerimoniais religiosos (jugo) que seus pais consideraram “insuportáveis”

PROFECIAS DO ANTIGO TESTAMENTO SOBRE OS GENTIOS RECEBEREM O ESPÍRITO SANTO

Isaías 44:3  Pois derramarei água sobre o sedento, e rios sobre a terra seca; derramarei o meu Espírito sobre os teus descendentes, e a minha bênção sobre a tua descendência;

 Joel 2:28 “E acontecerá depois que derramarei o meu Espírito sobre toda a carne; Vossos filhos e vossas filhas profetizarão, vossos velhos terão sonhos, vossos jovens terão visões.

NOSSO LEGADO NÃO INCLUI A TRANSFERÊNCIA DE UM JUGO INSUPORTÁVEL

 Atos 15:10 Agora, pois, por que provamos a Deus, pondo sobre a cerviz dos discípulos um jugo que nem nossos pais nem nós pudemos suportar?

 Devemos ter o cuidado de notar que o jugo neste contexto se relaciona com a necessidade da circuncisão para sermos salvos. O jugo não é uma rejeição de todas as leis morais, estatutos, ordenanças e decretos de Deus. O “jugo” refere-se especificamente a leis cerimoniais e ritualísticas que eram intoleráveis e pesadas para os pais; priorizando observâncias externas, aparições e piedade religiosa sobre a construção interna de Cristo através da aplicação da totalidade da Palavra de Deus.

Romanos 3:20 Portanto, pelas obras da lei nenhuma carne será justificada diante dele, porque pela lei vem o conhecimento do pecado.

 Romanos 7:7 Que diremos, pois? A lei é pecado? De modo algum! Pelo contrário, eu não teria conhecido o pecado senão pela lei. Pois eu não teria conhecido a cobiça a menos que a lei dissesse: “Não cobiçarás”.

Romanos 7:12 Portanto, a lei é santa, e o mandamento santo, justo e bom.

O JUGO DE CRISTO JESUS Jesus convida o crente que está cansado e sobrecarregado a tomar Seu jugo para encontrar descanso para an alma. Este é o jugo que transmitimos com confiança como legado para a próxima geração.

 Mateus 11:28 Vinde a mim, todos os que estais cansados e oprimidos, e eu vos aliviarei. 29 Tomai sobre vós o meu jugo e aprendei de mim, porque sou manso e humilde de coração, e achareis descanso para as vossas almas. 30 Pois o meu jugo é suave e o meu fardo é leve

SALVAÇÃO – O DOM DE DEUS

Atos 15:11 Mas cremos que, pela graça do Senhor Jesus Cristo, seremos salvos da mesma maneira que eles.”

 Não devemos complicar o dom da salvação. Usaremos o carcereiro de Filipos e sua família como exemplo

Atos 16:29 Então ele pediu uma luz, correu para dentro e prostrou-se tremendo diante de Paulo e Silas. 30 E ele os tirou e disse: “Senhores, o que devo fazer para ser salvo?” 31 Então eles disseram: “Creia no Senhor Jesus Cristo, e você será salvo, você e sua casa”. 32 Então falaram a palavra do Senhor a ele e a todos os que estavam em sua casa. 33 E tomou-os na mesma hora da noite, e lavou-lhes os açoites. E imediatamente ele e toda a sua família foram batizados. 34 E, tendo-os introduzido em sua casa, pôs-lhes comida; e ele se alegrou, tendo crido em Deus com toda a sua casa.

 A pergunta é feita……. “O que devo fazer para ser salvo?”

A resposta …… “Crê no Senhor Jesus Cristo, e serás salvo, tu e a tua casa.”

Efésios 2:8 Porque pela graça sois salvos, por meio da fé, e isto não vem de vós; é dom de Deus, 9 não de obras, para que ninguém se glorie. 10 Porque somos feitura sua, criados em Cristo Jesus para boas obras, as quais Deus preparou de antemão para que andássemos nelas.

Vemos neste relato que a salvação é o dom de Deus. Como dizemos, somos salvos ……

SOMENTE PELA GRAÇA, SOMENTE PELA FÉ SOMENTE EM CRISTO

DEIXANDO UM LEGADO

 Há um peso de construir por muitos anos e também de envelhecer a cada ano na obra de Deus. A herança que estamos deixando deve estar presente em todas as áreas da cultura do povo de Deus.

Oramos para que a próxima geração continue com essa cultura. É importante que sejamos sinceros para transmitir perfeitamente os dogmas perfeitos do Senhor à Nova Geração.

Atos 15:7 Depois de muita discussão, Pedro falou e disse-lhes: “Irmãos, vocês sabem que Deus escolheu entre vocês há muito tempo que, por meio de mim, os gentios ouvissem a palavra do evangelho e cressem. Ora, Deus, que conhece os corações, deu testemunho deles, dando-lhes o Espírito Santo, como fez conosco. E não fez distinção alguma entre nós e eles, purificando-lhes o coração pela fé. Agora, pois, por que provais a Deus, pondo sobre a cerviz dos discípulos um jugo que nem nossos pais nem nós pudemos suportar? Mas cremos que fomos salvos pela graça do Senhor Jesus, assim como eles.

 Este método diz respeito à circuncisão. Paulo explicou que havia muito mais do que a circuncisão física. Paulo estava preocupado com a nova geração que estava chegando. Devemos nos preocupar com a próxima geração de líderes e com o que eles estão aprendendo hoje.

Os líderes estão mais preocupados com culturas ritualísticas do que com ensinamentos. Formas e roupas ritualísticas não são mais necessárias na maneira como Deus olha para os corações. A maior circuncisão é aquela que está em nossos corações.

A próxima geração precisa estar livre do peso imposto pelos rituais naturais; eles não trouxeram santidade. É difícil transmitir a visão quando Pedro foi quem a recebeu; É difícil explicar a visão aos críticos

Gênesis 17:9. E Deus disse a Abraão: “Você deve guardar minha aliança, você e seus descendentes depois de você por suas gerações”.

 Nesta época, as leis do Senhor estão escritas nas tábuas de nossos corações. Hoje, devemos entender que somos a morada do Espírito Santo. A circuncisão desta época é mais elevada; foi feito no sangue de Cristo.

Deus destruiu o Antigo Templo para construir um novo templo; uma nova cultura nasceu mais forte em Jesus Cristo. Deus foi capaz de elevar sua cultura em Jesus Cristo para que todos no mundo pudessem ser alcançados. A nova geração estará sempre atualizada espiritualmente

Deuteronômio 10:12  “E agora, ó Israel, o que o Senhor pede de você? Temer ao Senhor, teu Deus, andar em todos os seus caminhos, amá-lo, servir ao Senhor, teu Deus, de todo o teu coração e de toda a tua alma, guardar os mandamentos do Senhor e os seus estatutos, que hoje te ordeno para o teu bem?” Eis que os céus, sim, os mais altos céus, pertencem ao Senhor vosso Deus; a terra e tudo o que nela há. Somente o Senhor pôs sua afeição em seus pais para amá-los; Ele escolheu vocês, seus descendentes, acima de todos os povos, como é hoje. Circuncidai, portanto, vossos corações e não endureçais vossas cervizes. Pois o Senhor, o seu Deus, é Deus dos deuses e Senhor dos senhores, o grande Deus, poderoso e temível, que não faz acepção de pessoas nem aceita subornos, que faz justiça ao órfão e à viúva, e ama o estrangeiro, dando-lhes comida e roupa. Ame o estrangeiro, pois vocês eram estrangeiros na terra do Egito.

 Algo maior deve acontecer após a circuncisão natural. Deus indicou a Abraão uma nova geração que receberia algo muito maior.

O argumento é como traremos as pessoas de fora para dentro, mas quando impomos regras, afastaremos as pessoas de celebrar o nome de Jesus conosco.

Os sistemas de iniquidade devem ser iluminados na casa de Deus para que as pessoas recebam a verdadeira cultura de Deus.

Os muros de separação devem ser destruídos. Jesus é o destruidor de muros. Ele foi para Samaria, para a casa de Simão, o leproso, e Zaqueu. A cultura de Deus deve unir as pessoas que são de fora

Efésios 2:13 Mas agora, em Cristo Jesus, vocês, que antes estavam longe, foram aproximados pelo sangue de Cristo. Pois ele mesmo é a nossa paz, que nos fez um e derrubou o muro de inimizade que havia entre nós.

Há muitos líderes que estão testando a Deus, colocando fardos e acessórios em volta do pescoço daqueles que querem receber a Cristo como seu salvador.

A Luz para a salvação do povo é Cristo, não coisas ritualísticas.

COMMENTARY – ROY PILLAY

Judges 2:6 After Joshua had dismissed the Israelites, they went to take possession of the land, each to their own inheritance. 7 The people served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had seen all the great things the Lord had done for Israel. 8 Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of a hundred and ten. 9 And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Heres  in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash 10 After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.

THE ORIGINAL COMMAND GIVEN BY GOD TO MOSES CONCERNING THE CANAANITES  (Zero Tolerance)

Deuteronomy 7: 1 “When the LORD your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, 2 and when the LORD your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. 3 Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son. 4 For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; so the anger of the LORD will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly. 5 But thus you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire. 6 “For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7 The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Deuteronomy 20:16 “But of the cities of these peoples which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance, you shall let nothing that breathes remain alive, 17 but you shall utterly destroy them: the Hittite and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, just as the LORD your God has commanded you, 18 lest they teach you to do according to all their abominations which they have done for their gods, and you sin against the LORD your God.

THE ERROR OF JOSHUA The specific command given to Joshua was to “utterly” destroy the foreign nations in the land of promise. The word “utterly” refers to absolute destruction. In spite of his great victories in destroying the Canaanites, Joshua left some Canaanites alive. The Canaanite represents a “contaminating or corrupting influence”.

Joshua 16: 10 And they did not drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day and have become forced laborers.

THE PURPOSE FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF THE CANAANITES AND OTHER HEATHEN NATIONS  God was concerned about protecting and preserving the integrity and identity of His covenanted, chosen people who God regards as His Holy Seed. His covenanted people were never meant to be “common” or unidentifiable from the other nations.

Ezra 9:2 For they have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, so that the holy seed is mixed with the peoples of those lands. Indeed, the hand of the leaders and rulers has been foremost in this trespass.”

THE CONSEQUENCE OF THE ERROR OF JOSHUA

Judges 2:10 When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel.

This is the polluting, corrupting effect of  “leaven” within a community of believers. 

Leaven spreads and changes the nature of the dough, like cancerous cells would spread in a human body. Leaven is representative of sin, evil, false doctrine.

Definition of “leaven”  from Dictionary.com An element that produces an altering or transforming influence; to permeate with an altering or transforming element. 

The idolatrous culture of the heathen nations permeated like leaven the purity of the worship of Almighty God and the unique culture of His chosen, holy nation. This eventually led to the transmogrification of the people of God where they simply “did not know the Lord”.  This would explain their lack of fear of the Lord. 

Their judgement included severe oppression and the deployment by the Lord of highly specialised armies of devouring, consuming and ravaging enemies that caused the people to cry out in despair. The Lord responded by raising His judges to deliver the people of God utilising unique strategies as we see in the administration of Gideon.

HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO THE CHURCH IN THIS PRESENT DAY 

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Joshua is a “type” or representative of Christ the Mighty Deliverer in the Old Testament.

 

Jeremiah 31:33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

The prophetic word spoken through Jeremiah concerning the migration of the Word of God (tablets of the Law in the Ark of God) from an external position to be written in the minds and on the hearts of believers. This is the final destination of the Word of the Lord in the believer, who is the dwelling place of the Lord. The Word of the Lord in the minds and hearts of believers is the antivenom that counteracts the venomous deception that abides in our hearts 

Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?

The apostle Paul clarifies the call for consecration to the Corinthian believers

2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”

We are called to engage and witness to unbelievers; to be a source of light to them; but we are not called to be unequally yoked to “their ways/culture” of unrighteousness. 

CHALLENGE TO THE NEXT GENERATION LEADERSHIP AFTER THE DEATH OF A GODLY LEADER 

Joshua left a legacy of courage, faithful and obedience to the Word of the Lord. Before he demanded faithfulness from the people he led, he was faithful. Before he demanded the people to be courageous, he himself demonstrated great courage. 

What do we know about the challenges of present day leadership. After the death of Joshua, God allowed the Canaanites and the other heathen nations to live alongside God’s people. This is symbolic of believers living in the midst of an unbelieving community,

Judges 3:1 Now these are the nations which the LORD left, that He might test Israel by them, that is, all who had not known any of the wars in Canaan 2 (this was only so that the generations of the children of Israel might be taught to know war, at least those who had not formerly known it), 3 namely, five lords of the Philistines, all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites who dwelt in Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal Hermon to the entrance of Hamath. 4 And they were left, that He might test Israel by them, to know whether they would obey the commandments of the LORD, which He had commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

We function in a highly volatile, unpredictable, uncertain environment. In the secular marketplace this is referred to as a VUCA environment.

The following definition is extracted from an article presented by the Munich Business School in Germany ….  

Quote …….. “VUCA is an acronym that describes four characteristics that make the modern world uncertain and complex:

• Volatility: Rapid and unpredictable changes, such as sudden market shifts or technological breakthroughs
• Uncertainty: Difficulty predicting future events, even when information is available.
• Complexity: Many interrelated factors that make it difficult to identify causes and effects.
• Ambiguity: Unclear or contradictory information that allows for different interpretations.

These factors require a high degree of adaptability and innovative solutions from managers and organizations”

“END OF QUOTE”

OUR RESPONSE This environment with multiple variables , describes the condition of the nation of Israel after the death of Joshua. It is imperative that leaders address the prevailing spirit of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity with clear, precise, unambiguous communication. We believe that after we teach, preach and prophesy we need to develop clear strategies for advancement. For example Gideon had to inform the 22000 men who were consumed with fear to return to their homes from the battle line (Judges 7:2-3). This battle is for the strong and courageous. This is the same instruction given to Joshua from the Lord (Joshua 1:6-7)

Unlike the secular environment, although we are aware of the “Vuca condition” we are not intimidated by the fluctuations and the unpredictable and complex issues in our environment. Whilst the Vuca report helps us to understand the constantly evolving dynamics of our environment, believers must resolve to remain  firmly anchored, planted and rooted in the demands of the Word of the Lord and His covenantal promises to His faithful people. This is the legacy that Joshua was charged to implement in his generation.

The lost generation after Joshua was seduced, compromised and finally succumbed to the demands of their VUCA environment, casting a dark shadow upon the leadership of Joshua who remained resolute in his convictions and refused to turn to the left or the right of the Word of the Lord.

PERSPECTIVE – ELEANOR PILLAY

Joshua’s legacy was seen in the godliness of Israel during his leadership. He was truly one of history’s great men of God.
Israel was also faithful to God in the days of Joshua’s immediate successors. But afterward, there arose a generation who had not seen all the great works of the LORD which He had done for Israel.

This new generation had no personal relationship with God, and no personal awareness of His power. How could this be? God was someone who their parents related to and who did great things for their parent’s generation. We must note that this generation was probably at all church services with their elders and parents. This generation was present in body but there hearts did not follow after the ways of their fathers nor their father’s God.

How was this possible? How could a leader as faithful as Joshua and a generation of parents and elders and spiritual leaders who loved and served God and who witnessed great signs and wonders from God fail in passing on the legacy of Christ to the generation after them.Could they have missed the mark ? We must be able to follow the main mandate given to us by God and still maintain all the other responsibilities that our God expects from us….that the world and the generations to come must know him

Transference of the legacy of Christ must be intentional. We could be one generation away from apostasy. We must ensure that our transgenerational vision does not grow dim.

Isaiah 39: 6- 7
Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the Lord Almighty: 6 The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your predecessors have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the Lord. 7 And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”

As leaders and stewards of the next generation we must ensure that we have multidirectional focus.It is vital that we live for the welfare of the days that are to come.

Hezekiah…..was focused only on his own palace. Joshua…was concerned with himself and his house serving the Lord and defeating the enemies of God. We need to have transgenerational vision.

In Genesis 18:19 God speaks of Abraham, saying, “For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice.”

Psalm 145:4-7
“One generation shall praise Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of Thy majesty, and on Thy wonderful works, I will meditate. And men shall speak of the power of Thine awesome acts; and I will tell of Thy greatness. They shall eagerly utter the memory of Thine abundant goodness, and shall shout joyfully of Thy righteousness.”

A GERAÇÃO PERDIDA

 Juízes 2:6 Depois que Josué despediu os israelitas, eles foram tomar posse da terra, cada um para sua herança. 7 O povo serviu ao Senhor durante toda a vida de Josué e dos anciãos que sobreviveram a ele e que viram todas as grandes coisas que o Senhor havia feito por Israel. 8 Josué, filho de Num, servo do Senhor, morreu com a idade de cento e dez anos. 9 E o sepultaram na terra da sua herança, em Timnate-Heres, na região montanhosa de Efraim, ao norte do monte Gaás. 10 Depois que toda aquela geração foi reunida aos seus antepassados, cresceu outra geração que não conhecia nem o Senhor nem o que ele havia feito por Israel.

 O MANDAMENTO ORIGINAL DADO POR DEUS A MOISÉS SOBRE OS CANANEUS (Tolerância Zero)

 Deuteronômio 7: 1 “Quando o Senhor, o seu Deus, o introduzir na terra que você vai possuir, e expulsar muitas nações de diante de você: os heteus, os girgaeus, os amorreus, os cananeus, os ferezeus, os heveus e os jebuseus, sete nações maiores e mais poderosas do que você, 2 e quando o Senhor, o seu Deus, as entregar a você, você os conquistará e os destruirá totalmente. Não farás aliança com eles, nem usarás de misericórdia para com eles. 3 Nem farás casamento com eles. Não darás tua filha ao filho deles, nem tomarás a filha deles por teu filho. 4 Pois eles desviarão seus filhos de me seguir, para servir a outros deuses; assim a ira do Senhor se acenderá contra você e o destruirá de repente. 5 Mas assim os tratareis: destruireis os seus altares, e derrubareis as suas colunas sagradas, e cortareis as suas imagens de madeira, e queimareis a fogo as suas imagens esculpidas. 6 “Porque vocês são um povo santo ao Senhor, o seu Deus; o Senhor, o seu Deus, escolheu você para ser um povo para si, um tesouro especial acima de todos os povos da face da terra. 7 O Senhor não colocou sobre vocês o seu amor nem os escolheu, porque vocês eram mais numerosos do que qualquer outro povo, pois vocês eram o menor de todos os povos; 8 Mas, porque o Senhor vos ama, e porque quis guardar o juramento que fez a vossos pais, o Senhor vos tirou com mão poderosa, e vos resgatou da casa da servidão, da mão de Faraó, rei do Egito.

 Deuteronômio 20:16 “Mas das cidades destes povos que o Senhor teu Deus te dá por herança, não deixarás ficar vivo nada do que respira, 17 mas as destruirás totalmente: os heteus, os amorreus, os cananeus, os ferezeus, os heveus e os jebuseus, como o Senhor, teu Deus, te ordenou, 18 para que não te ensinem a fazer conforme todas as abominações que fizeram aos seus deuses, e peques contra o SENHOR teu Deus.

 

O ERRO DE JOSUÉ A ordem específica dada a Josué foi destruir “totalmente” as nações estrangeiras na terra prometida. A palavra “totalmente” refere-se à destruição absoluta. Apesar de suas grandes vitórias na destruição dos cananeus, Josué deixou alguns cananeus vivos. O cananeu representa uma “influência contaminadora ou corruptora”.

 Josué 16: 10 E eles não expulsaram os cananeus que habitavam em Gezer; mas os cananeus habitam entre os efraimitas até o dia de hoje e se tornaram trabalhadores forçados.

O PROPÓSITO DA DESTRUIÇÃO DOS CANANEUS E DE OUTRAS NAÇÕES PAGÃS 

Deus estava preocupado em proteger e preservar a integridade e a identidade de Seu povo escolhido e pactuado que Deus considera como Sua Santa Semente. Seu povo pactuado nunca foi feito para ser “comum” ou não identificável das outras nações.

 Esdras 9:2 Pois tomaram algumas de suas filhas como esposas para si e para seus filhos, de modo que a semente santa se misturou com os povos daquelas terras. Na verdade, a mão dos líderes e governantes tem sido a principal nesta transgressão.”

 A CONSEQUÊNCIA DO ERRO DE JOSUÉ

 Juízes 2:10 E, havendo sido ajuntada toda aquela geração a seus pais, levantou-se depois deles outra geração, que não conhecia ao Senhor, nem a obra que fizera a Israel.

 Este é o efeito poluidor e corruptor do “fermento” dentro de uma comunidade de crentes.

 O fermento se espalha e muda a natureza da massa, como as células cancerígenas se espalhariam no corpo humano. O fermento é representativo do pecado, do mal e da falsa doutrina.

 Definição de “fermento” de Dictionary.com Um elemento que produz uma influência alteradora ou transformadora; permear com um elemento de alteração ou transformação.

 A cultura idólatra das nações pagãs permeava como fermento a pureza do culto ao Deus Todo-Poderoso e a cultura única de Sua nação escolhida e santa. Isso acabou levando à transmogrificação do povo de Deus, onde eles simplesmente “não conheciam o Senhor”. Isso explicaria sua falta de temor ao Senhor.

 Seu julgamento incluiu opressão severa e o envio pelo Senhor de exércitos altamente especializados para devorar, consumir e devastar inimigos que fizeram o povo gritar em desespero. O Senhor respondeu levantando Seus juízes para libertar o povo de Deus utilizando estratégias únicas, como vemos na administração de Gideão.

COMO ISSO SE RELACIONA COM A IGREJA NOS DIAS ATUAIS?

Sofonias 3:17 O Senhor, teu Deus, no meio de ti, o Poderoso, salvará; Ele se alegrará com alegria em você, Ele o acalmará com Seu amor, Ele se alegrará em você com cânticos.

 Josué é um “tipo” ou representante de Cristo, o Poderoso Libertador no Antigo Testamento.

 Jeremias 31:33 Mas este é o pacto que farei com a casa de Israel depois daqueles dias, diz o Senhor: Porei a minha lei na sua mente, e a escreverei no seu coração; e eu serei o seu Deus, e eles serão o meu povo. 34 Não ensinará mais cada um ao seu próximo, nem cada um a seu irmão, dizendo: Conhece ao Senhor, porque todos me conhecerão, desde o menor deles até ao maior, diz o Senhor. Pois perdoarei a sua iniqüidade, e não me lembrarei mais do seu pecado.”

 A palavra profética falada por meio de Jeremias a respeito da migração da Palavra de Deus (tábuas da Lei na Arca de Deus) de uma posição externa para ser escrita nas mentes e nos corações dos crentes. Este é o destino final da Palavra do Senhor no crente, que é a morada do Senhor. A Palavra do Senhor nas mentes e corações dos crentes é o antiveneno que neutraliza o engano venenoso que habita em nossos corações

 Jeremias 17:9 “Enganoso é o coração, mais do que todas as coisas, e desesperadamente perverso; Quem pode saber?

 O apóstolo Paulo esclarece o chamado para a consagração aos crentes coríntios

 2 Coríntios 6:14 Não vos ponhais em jugo desigual com os incrédulos. Pois que comunhão tem a justiça com a iniquidade? E que comunhão tem a luz com as trevas? 15 E que acordo tem Cristo com Belial? Ou que parte tem um crente com um incrédulo? 16 E que acordo tem o templo de Deus com os ídolos? Pois você é o templo do Deus vivo. Como Deus disse: “Habitarei neles e andarei entre eles. Eu serei o seu Deus, e eles serão o meu povo.”

 Somos chamados a nos envolver e testemunhar aos incrédulos; para ser uma fonte de luz para eles; mas não somos chamados a estar em jugo desigual a “seus caminhos/cultura” de injustiça.

 DESAFIO À LIDERANÇA DA PRÓXIMA GERAÇÃO APÓS A MORTE DE UM LÍDER PIEDOSO

 Josué deixou um legado de coragem, fidelidade e obediência à Palavra do Senhor. Antes de exigir fidelidade das pessoas que liderava, ele era fiel. Antes de exigir que o povo fosse corajoso, ele mesmo demonstrou grande coragem.

 O que sabemos sobre os desafios da liderança atual. Após a morte de Josué, Deus permitiu que os cananeus e as outras nações pagãs vivessem ao lado do povo de Deus. Isso é simbólico de crentes que vivem no meio de uma comunidade incrédula,

 Juízes 3:1 Ora, estas são as nações que o Senhor deixou, para que por meio delas pusesse à prova, isto é, todos os que não tinham conhecido nenhuma das guerras em Canaã 2 (isto foi somente para que as gerações dos filhos de Israel fossem ensinadas a conhecer a guerra, pelo menos os que antes não a conheciam), 3 a saber, cinco príncipes dos filisteus, todos os cananeus, sidônios e heveus que habitavam no monte Líbano, desde o monte Baal Hermom até a entrada de Hamate. 4 E ficaram eles, para que por eles provasse an Israel, para saber se obedeceriam aos mandamentos do SENHOR, que ordenara a seus pais por intermédio de Moisés.

 Funcionamos em um ambiente altamente volátil, imprevisível e incerto. No mercado secular, isso é chamado de ambiente VUCA.

 Citação…….. “VUCA é um acrônimo que descreve quatro características que tornam o mundo moderno incerto e complexo:

 Volatilidade: mudanças rápidas e imprevisíveis, como mudanças repentinas no mercado ou avanços tecnológicos

Incerteza: Dificuldade em prever eventos futuros, mesmo quando as informações estão disponíveis.

Complexidade: Muitos fatores inter-relacionados que dificultam a identificação de causas e efeitos.

Ambiguidade: Informações pouco claras ou contraditórias que permitem diferentes interpretações.

Esses fatores exigem um alto grau de adaptabilidade e soluções inovadoras de gestores e organizações”

 “FIM DA CITAÇÃO”

NOSSA RESPOSTA Este ambiente com múltiplas variáveis descreve a condição da nação de Israel após a morte de Josué. É imperativo que os líderes abordem o espírito predominante de volatilidade, incerteza, complexidade e ambiguidade com uma comunicação clara, precisa e inequívoca. Acreditamos que, depois de ensinarmos, pregarmos e profetizarmos, precisamos desenvolver estratégias claras para o avanço. Por exemplo, Gideão teve que informar os 22000 homens que estavam consumidos pelo medo para voltar para suas casas da linha de batalha (Juízes 7:2-3). Esta batalha é para os fortes e corajosos. Esta é a mesma instrução dada a Josué pelo Senhor (Josué 1:6-7)

 Ao contrário do ambiente secular, embora estejamos cientes da “condição Vuca”, não nos intimidamos com as flutuações e as questões imprevisíveis e complexas em nosso ambiente. Embora o relatório Vuca nos ajude a entender a dinâmica em constante evolução de nosso ambiente, os crentes devem decidir permanecer firmemente ancorados, plantados e enraizados nas exigências da Palavra do Senhor e em Suas promessas de aliança ao Seu povo fiel. Este é o legado que Josué foi encarregado de implementar em sua geração.

 A geração perdida depois de Josué foi seduzida, comprometida e finalmente sucumbiu às exigências de seu ambiente VUCA, lançando uma sombra escura sobre a liderança de Josué, que permaneceu resoluta em suas convicções e se recusou a se voltar para a esquerda ou para a direita da Palavra do Senhor.

 

PERSPECTIVA – ELEANOR PILLAY

 O legado de Josué foi visto na piedade de Israel durante sua liderança. Ele foi realmente um dos grandes homens de Deus da história.

Israel também foi fiel a Deus nos dias dos sucessores imediatos de Josué. Mas depois se levantou uma geração que não tinha visto todas as grandes obras do Senhor, que ele fizera a Israel.

 Essa nova geração não tinha relacionamento pessoal com Deus e nenhuma consciência pessoal de Seu poder. Como isso pode ser? Deus era alguém com quem seus pais se relacionavam e que fez grandes coisas para a geração de seus pais. Devemos notar que esta geração provavelmente estava em todos os cultos da igreja com seus anciãos e pais. Esta geração estava presente em corpo, mas seus corações não seguiram os caminhos de seus pais nem o Deus de seu pai.

 Como isso foi possível? Como poderia um líder tão fiel quanto Josué e uma geração de pais, presbíteros e líderes espirituais que amavam e serviam a Deus e que testemunharam grandes sinais e maravilhas de Deus falharem em transmitir o legado de Cristo para a geração depois deles. Eles poderiam ter errado o alvo? Devemos ser capazes de seguir o mandato principal que Deus nos deu e ainda manter todas as outras responsabilidades que nosso Deus espera de nós… que o mundo e as gerações vindouras devem conhecê-lo

 A transferência do legado de Cristo deve ser intencional. Poderíamos estar a uma geração de distância da apostasia. Devemos garantir que nossa visão transgeracional não se abrande.

 Isaías 39: 6-7 Então Isaías disse a Ezequias: “Ouça a palavra do Senhor dos Exércitos: 6 Certamente virá o tempo em que tudo o que está em seu palácio, e tudo o que seus antepassados armazenaram até hoje, serão levados para a Babilônia. Nada sobrará, diz o Senhor. 7 E alguns de seus descendentes, sua própria carne e sangue, que nascerão de você, serão levados embora, e eles se tornarão eunucos no palácio do rei da Babilônia.

 Como líderes e administradores da próxima geração, devemos garantir que tenhamos um foco multidirecional. É vital que vivamos para o bem-estar dos dias que virão.

 Ezequias….. estava focado apenas em seu próprio palácio. Josué… estava preocupado consigo mesmo e com sua casa servindo ao Senhor e derrotando os inimigos de Deus. Precisamos ter uma visão transgeracional.

 Em Gênesis 18:19, Deus fala de Abraão, dizendo: “Porque eu o conheci, para que ordene a seus filhos e à sua casa depois dele, que guardem o caminho do Senhor, para praticarem a justiça e o juízo”.

Salmo 145:4 -7 “Uma geração louvará as tuas obras a outra, e anunciará os teus atos poderosos. Meditarei no glorioso esplendor de Tua majestade e em Tuas obras maravilhosas. E os homens falarão do poder de Teus atos terríveis; e falarei da Tua grandeza. Eles expressarão ansiosamente a memória de Tua abundante bondade e gritarão com alegria de Tua justiça.”

COMMENTARY – ROY PILLAY

OVERTHROWS/UNDERMINES THE SET MAN

1 Kings 22:51 Ahaziah the son of Ahab became king over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel. 52 He did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father and in the way of his mother and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had made Israel sin; 53 for he served Baal and worshiped him, and provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger, according to all that his father had done.

Leaders have a great responsibility to ensure that in their succession plans, their future leaders do not inherit as a legacy, a Jezebellian operating model that would position the next generation on the path towards evil, wickedness, idolatry and eventually apostasy. We must bear the full weight of the burden of being trusted custodians of the Word of God which teaches us the culture of the early church.

The key instruction given to Joshua upon the death of Moses, was not to depart from the Word of God.

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Ahaziah followed the ways of his father Ahab, the ways of his mother Jezebel and the ways of Jeroboam.

This is what the scriptures reveal about the ways of King Ahab 

1 Kings 16:30 Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD, more than all who were before him. 31 And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him.

Here we clearly see the tripartite alliance of evil and idolatry – Ahab, Jezebel, Jeroboam

This was the reference model implemented by King Ahaziah when he ascended the throne.

This is what the scriptures reveal about the ways of the malevolent Jezebel, the dominatrix

In the Old Testament, she is the embodiment and incarnation of evil. 

After marrying Jezebel, Ahab built a shrine for her to worship

1 Kings 16:32 Then he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria

The ideologies, philosophies  and the idolatrous worship that emanate from an external, pagan, hedonistic shrine will be planted as tares by the enemies of Word of the Lord in the hearts of believers whilst they are sleeping (Matthew 13:25). This season demands sobriety and vigilance. The objective of the spirit of Jezebel is to undermine and dismantle the faith of believers in the Word of the Lord and bring them to a state of apostasy. This was the very thing that concerned Jesus. Will He find faith on the earth when He comes?

This is what the scriptures reveal about the ways of Jeroboam, declared by Ahijah the prophet

1 Kings 14:7 Go, tell Jeroboam, ‘Thus says the LORD God of Israel: “Because I exalted you from among the people, and made you ruler over My people Israel, 8 and tore the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it to you; and yet you have not been as My servant David, who kept My commandments and who followed Me with all his heart, to do only what was right in My eyes; 9 but you have done more evil than all who were before you, for you have gone and made for yourself other gods and molded images to provoke Me to anger, and have cast Me behind your back— 10 therefore behold! I will bring disaster on the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam every male in Israel, bond and free; I will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as one takes away refuse until it is all gone.

The “provocative ways of Jeroboam”

“for you have gone and made for yourself other gods and molded images to provoke Me to anger, and have cast Me behind your back—” (Verse 9)

“I will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as one takes away refuse until it is all gone”

Exodus 23:21 Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.

The Lord will always bless cities because of the presence of a righteous remnant of God. 

Genesis 18:32 Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.”

The remnant represent a small group that have survived the judgement of the Lord to carry the legacy. A relentless provocation of the Lord will endanger the survival of the remnant.

God compares the ways of Jeroboam with the ways of David.

“and yet you have not been as My servant David, who kept My commandments and who followed Me with all his heart, to do only what was right in My eyes (Verse 8)

The culture in the house of God will either attract the Presence of the Lord or cause the departure of His Presence. The spirit of Jezebel is clearly aware of this, so she brings in her idolatrous and blasphemous ways into the church to cause naive worshippers to provoke the Lord. We thank God for His Word, that orders our steps and keeps us in the Way (Christ) 

The church in Ephesus never had a JEZEBEL problem (Revelation 2:2)

They had zero tolerance for evil; they rejected anything that appeared as evil or wicked. They had patience, a strong work ethic and separated themselves to serving the Lord. They were endowed with a unique grace gift where they were able to distinguish between true and false apostles. However, although  this church in Ephesus was able to keep Jezebel OUT OF THE CHURCH, Jesus rebuked this church for having lost its  FIRST LOVE – a love for Christ and His Word

On the other hand, the church in Thyatira 

(Revelation 2:19-20) had a strong work ethic, patience, serving with great faith and operated in LOVE. It was love without the truth.

Under the banner of love this church had Jezebel serving in its midst. Both Ephesus and Thyatira needed to embrace the words spoken by Jesus to the woman at the well. May the Lord raise believers who worship Him in spirit and truth. 

John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

ORIGINAL ABC NOTES Jezebel overcomes the set man through the structures in the church. 

I Kings 21:8 And she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who were dwelling in the city with Naboth. 

The impression given is that the decision comes from the set man. She puts her messages on Ahab’s letterhead. This mechanism of operation subtly overcomes the voice of the set man. Remember the set man is the sent man – sent by God to the local church, with the message for that church. He is the angel (angelos-messenger) for the local church. He is the legitimate voice for that local church. Jezebel substitutes the voice of the set man. Ultimately this locks out the voice of God from the local church.(We will deal more extensively with this subject under  the module on THE SET MAN.

An overthrown set man unwittingly uses Jezebel’s operating system. In other words his computer (church) operates with Jezebel’s software.

EXAMPLES: (A) AHAZIAH I King 22:51 Ahaziah the son of Ahab became king over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel.52 He did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father and in the way of his mother and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had made Israel sin; (NKJ)

AHAZIAH, THE KING OF ISRAEL (SET MAN) WALKED IN THE WAY OF HIS MOTHER JEZEBEL that is, although he was the set man he was using Jezebel’s operating system – Jezebel was ruling through him.

(B) JEHORAM 2 Chronicles 21:5 Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. 6 And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab had done, for he had the daughter of Ahab as a wife; and he did evil in the sight of the LORD. JEHORAM WALKED IN THE WAY OF HOUSE OF AHAB. THIS AGAIN WAS A JEZEBELLIAN OPERATING SYSTEM FOR JEZEBEL DETERMINED THE WAY IN THE HOUSE OF AHAB.

SUMMARY ANY SYSTEM THAT UNDERMINES TRUTH, OPERATES IN LIES AND CONSPIRACY, INSPIRES FEAR(folk do the work of the Lord out of fear), EMBRACES IDOLATRY   (example CHRISTIAN CELEBRITIES)AND SEXUAL IMMORALITY, SUPPRESSES THE PROPHETIC VOICE AND VIOLATES SET MAN PRINCIPLES(UNDERMINES THE SET MAN) IS A JEZEBELLIAN SYSTEM.

Jezebel is not omnipresent. Her system of operation however can be activated in any church where the set man is not under the direct authority of God. Such a set man is usually a weak man, who is usually manipulated by his carnal needs. Jezebel just has to threaten him about his assets, and he will come into line. Such a man does not allow the voice  of  God to prevail in his life.

This system must be looked at as software that operates a computer. When Bill Gates dies, windows 98 will still continue to operate. Satan has been defeated but his Jezebellian software continues to operate in many churches and homes. Just because this “software” is operational globally, does not mean that Satan is omnipresent. 

JEZEBELLIAN NETWORK

The spirit of Jezebel will always be antagonistic to the voice and the Word of the of the Lord. It reminds us of the serpent in the Garden that challenges the explicit instruction given by God to Adam ……….

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

Adam did not need the validation of the serpent to confirm the instructions given to him  by the Lord. This is the autonomy of every believer that needs to be protected. Jesus instructed  the church in Thyatira not to submit to the teaching of Jezebel

In over two decades of uninterrupted gathering with hundreds of leaders every week, the Lord has not ceased to amaze us with the wealth and diversity of grace that He has deposited in leaders. It has caused us to conclude that no individual, network or institution holds a monopoly on Divine REVELATION (We are clearly not referring to essential doctrines of the church). We are talking about words that proceed from above, carried to us through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

JEZEBEL EXERCISES HER INFLUENCE AND IS ENABLED AND EMPOWERED FROM A REMOTE LOCATION – AN EXTERNAL PAGAN SHRINE

1 Kings 16:32 Then he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria

A network that has been infiltrated by the spirit of Jezebel erodes the believer’s absolute faith and trust in the Lord and His Word. This shrine has now relocated its position from being outside the church to being spiritually installed in the hearts of believers inside the church. As we know, as in the case of Dagon and the Ark of God, both altars cannot co-exist in the Temple.

Judges 10:10 And the children of Israel cried out to the LORD, saying, “We have sinned against You, because we have both forsaken our God and served the Baals!”

Christ Jesus informs the Pharisees about the first and great commandment Matthew 22:36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

The Lord is clear concerning the demands of the great commandment regarding all believers. He handed His beloved people over to the Philistines and the Ammonites to be tormented for 18 years in the hope that they would return to Him. 

ORIGINAL ABC NOTES A network is an association of ministers led by a set man. A Jezebellian network has the following characteristics:- It is not based on voluntary accountability. Submission is coerced or manipulated. It controls its members. It desires to rule over other networks. Relationships are based on sentiment, not on truth – thus immorality and aberrant behaviour are not disciplined. It intends to monopolize a city – regarding itself as the official voice of God. It does not respect those of other networks. It eventually adopts titular hierachy. It is inflexible, the leader having a “my way” philosophy.

THIS IS IN FACT THE SPIRIT OF A DENOMINATION IN A NETWORK.

Hebrews 10:11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

The Greek word for “waiting” (expecting) that is used in Verse 13  is ……

apekdéchomai (G0553), to look for, expect fully; ekdochḗ (G1561), expectation. Syn.: anaménō (G0362), to wait for in confident expectancy (Extracted from Complete Word Study Bible)

We can now paraphrase Verse 13 to read …..

“From that time Christ Jesus is waiting in confident expectancy for His enemies to be made His footstool”

The English tense of the word “waiting” is  “present continuous tense”

The application of this word means that although Jezebel the woman in the Old Testament was dead, her spirit lives on in this present day. Believers, especially leaders have to continually teach the Word of God until broken hedges are repaired and stronger covenants are established as bondservants of the Lord. Although Jesus “finished” the work at the Cross by defeating all principalities and powers, believers have to manifest this “finished” position by overcoming these principalities and powers and ensuring that they remain as the “footstool” of the Lord.

 Os “modos provocativos de Jeroboão”

 “pois você foi e fez para si outros deuses e imagens de fundição para me provocar à ira, e me lançou para trás das suas costas—” (Versículo 9)

 “Eu tirarei o restante da casa de Jeroboão, como se tira o lixo até que tudo acabe”

 Êxodo 23:21 Guarda-te dele, e ouve a sua voz; não o provoques, porque não perdoará as tuas transgressões; porque nele está o meu nome.

 O Senhor sempre abençoará as cidades por causa da presença de um remanescente justo de Deus. 

 Gênesis 18:32 Então ele disse: “Não se irrite o Senhor, e eu falarei somente mais uma vez. Se forem encontrados dez ali?” E ele disse: “Não a destruirei por causa dos dez.”

 O remanescente representa um pequeno grupo que sobreviveu ao julgamento do Senhor para levar o legado. Uma provocação implacável ao Senhor colocará em risco a sobrevivência do remanescente.

 Deus compara os caminhos de Jeroboão com os caminhos de Davi.

 “e ainda assim você não foi como meu servo Davi, que guardou meus mandamentos e que me seguiu de todo o coração, para fazer somente o que era reto aos meus olhos (Versículo 8)

 A cultura na casa de Deus ou atrairá a Presença do Senhor ou causará o afastamento da Sua Presença. O espírito de Jezabel está claramente ciente disso, então ela traz seus costumes idólatras e blasfemos para a igreja para fazer com que adoradores ingênuos provoquem o Senhor. Agradecemos a Deus por Sua Palavra, que ordena nossos passos e nos mantém no Caminho (Cristo). 

 A igreja em Éfeso nunca teve um problema com JEZEBEL (Apocalipse 2:2). Eles tinham tolerância zero para o mal; rejeitavam qualquer coisa que parecesse má ou perversa. Possuíam paciência, uma forte ética de trabalho e se dedicavam ao serviço do Senhor. Eram dotados de um dom de graça único, que lhes permitia distinguir entre apóstolos verdadeiros e falsos. No entanto, embora esta igreja em Éfeso tenha conseguido manter Jezabel FORA DA IGREJA, Jesus a repreendeu por ter perdido seu PRIMEIRO AMOR – o amor por Cristo e Sua Palavra.

 Por outro lado, a igreja em Tiatira (Apocalipse 2:19-20) tinha uma forte ética de trabalho, paciência, servia com grande fé e operava com AMOR. Era amor sem a verdade. Sob a bandeira do amor, esta igreja tinha Jezabel servindo em seu meio. Tanto Éfeso quanto Tiatira precisavam abraçar as palavras ditas por Jesus à mulher no poço. Que o Senhor levante crentes que O adorem em espírito e em verdade. 

 João 4:23-24 Mas vem a hora, e agora é, em que os verdadeiros adoradores adorarão o Pai em espírito e em verdade; porque o Pai procura a tais que assim o adorem. 24 Deus é Espírito, e importa que os que o adoram o adorem em espírito e em verdade.

 

NOTAS ORIGINAIS DO ABC Jezabel vence o homem estabelwcido através das estruturas da igreja. 

 1 Reis 21:8 E ela escreveu cartas em nome de Acabe, selou-as com o selo dele e as enviou aos anciãos e aos nobres que habitavam na cidade com Nabote. 

A impressão que se tem é que a decisão vem do homem estabelecido. Ela coloca suas mensagens no papel timbrado de Acabe. Esse mecanismo de operação sutilmente anula a voz do homem estabelecido. Lembre-se de que o homem estabelecido é o homem enviado – enviado por Deus à igreja local, com a mensagem para aquela igreja. Ele é o anjo (angelos – mensageiro) para a igreja local. Ele é a voz legítima para aquela igreja local. Jezabel substitui a voz do homem estabelecido. Em última análise, isso bloqueia a voz de Deus da igreja local. (Abordaremos esse assunto mais detalhadamente no módulo sobre O HOMEM ESTABELECIDO.)

 Um homem deposto usa involuntariamente o sistema operacional de Jezabel. Em outras palavras, seu computador (igreja) opera com o software de Jezabel.

 EXEMPLOS: 

 (A) ACAZIAS

ACAZIAS, O REI DE ISRAEL (O HOMEM ESTABELECIDO) ANDOU NO CAMINHO DE SUA MÃE JEZABEL, ou seja, embora ele fosse o homem de sete, ele estava usando o sistema operacional de Jezabel – Jezabel estava governando por meio dele.

(B) JEORÁM  2 Crônicas 21:5-6 Jeorão tinha trinta e dois anos de idade quando começou a reinar, e reinou oito anos em Jerusalém. 6 Andou no caminho dos reis de Israel, como a casa de Acabe, pois tinha a filha de Acabe por esposa; e fez o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR. (NVI)

 Jeorão andou pelo caminho da casa de Acabe. Este foi novamente um sistema operacional jezabeliano, pois Jezabel determinou o caminho na casa de Acabe.

 RESUMO: QUALQUER SISTEMA QUE MINARE A VERDADE, OPERE EM MENTIRAS E CONSPIRAÇÕES, INSPIRE MEDO (as pessoas fazem a obra do Senhor por medo), ACEITA A IDOLATRIA (exemplo: CELEBRIDADES CRISTÃS) E A IMORALIDADE SEXUAL, SUPRIMA A VOZ PROFÉTICA E VIOLE OS PRINCÍPIOS DO HOMEM ESTABELECIDO (MINA O HOMEM ESTABELECIDO) É UM SISTEMA JEZEBELIANO.

 Jezabel não é onipresente. Seu sistema de operação, no entanto, pode ser ativado em qualquer igreja onde o homem estabelecido não esteja sob a autoridade direta de Deus. Tal homem estabelecido geralmente é um homem fraco, que costuma ser manipulado por suas necessidades carnais. Basta Jezabel ameaçá-lo sobre seus bens, e ele se conformará. Tal homem não permite que a voz de Deus prevaleça em sua vida.

 Este sistema deve ser encarado como um software que opera um computador. Quando Bill Gates morrer, o Windows 98 continuará a operar. Satanás foi derrotado, mas seu software Jezabeliano continua a operar em muitas igrejas e lares. Só porque este “software” está operando globalmente, não significa que Satanás seja onipresente. 

 

REDE JEZEBELIANA   

 COMENTÁRIO – ROY PILLAY 

 O espírito de Jezabel sempre será antagônico à voz e à Palavra do Senhor. Ele nos lembra da serpente no Jardim que desafia a instrução explícita dada por Deus a Adão.

 Gênesis 3:1 A serpente era, porém, mais astuta que todas as alimárias do campo que o Senhor Deus tinha feito. E disse à mulher: É assim que Deus disse: Não comereis de toda árvore do jardim?

 Addo não precisou da validação da serpente para confirmar as instruções que lhe foram dadas pelo Senhor. Esta é a autonomia de cada crente que precisa ser protegida. Jesus instruiu a igreja em Tiatira a não se submeter aos ensinamentos de Jezabel.

 Em mais de duas décadas de encontros ininterruptos com centenas de líderes todas as semanas, o Senhor não deixou de nos surpreender com a riqueza e a diversidade da graça que Ele depositou em seus líderes. Isso nos levou a concluir que nenhum indivíduo, rede ou instituição detém o monopólio da REVELAÇÃO Divina (claramente não estamos nos referindo a doutrinas essenciais da igreja). Estamos falando de palavras que procedem do alto, transmitidas a nós por meio do ministério do Espírito Santo.

 JEZABEL EXERCE SUA INFLUÊNCIA E É HABILITADA E EMPODERADA DE UM LOCAL REMOTO – UM SANTUÁRIO PAGÃO EXTERNO

 1 Reis 16:32 Então ele levantou um altar a Baal no templo de Baal, que ele havia construído em Samaria.

 Uma rede infiltrada pelo espírito de Jezabel corrói a fé e a confiança absolutas do crente no Senhor e em Sua Palavra. Este santuário agora mudou sua posição, de fora da igreja para instalado espiritualmente nos corações dos fiéis dentro da igreja. Como sabemos, assim como no caso de Dagom e da Arca de Deus, ambos os altares não podem coexistir no Templo.

 Juízes 10:10 Então os filhos de Israel clamaram ao Senhor, dizendo: Pecamos contra ti, porque deixamos o nosso Deus e servimos aos baalins.

 Cristo Jesus informa os fariseus sobre o primeiro e grande mandamento Mateus 22:36 “Mestre, qual é o grande mandamento na lei?” 37 Jesus lhe disse: “Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração, de toda a tua alma e de todo o teu entendimento.

 O Senhor é claro quanto às exigências do grande mandamento referentes a todos os crentes. Ele entregou Seu amado povo aos filisteus e aos amonitas para ser atormentado por 18 anos, na esperança de que retornassem a Ele.

 Uma rede é uma associação de ministros liderada por um homem estabelecido. Uma rede jezabeliana tem as seguintes características: – Não se baseia na responsabilidade voluntária. A submissão é coagida ou manipulada. Ela controla seus membros. Deseja governar outras redes. Os relacionamentos são baseados em sentimento, não na verdade – portanto, a imoralidade e o comportamento aberrante não são disciplinados. Ela pretende monopolizar uma cidade – considerando-se a voz oficial de Deus. Não respeita as de outras redes. Eventualmente, adota uma hierarquia titular. É inflexível, com o líder tendo uma filosofia de “do meu jeito”. ESTE É DE FATO O ESPÍRITO DE UMA DENOMINAÇÃO EM UMA REDE.

Hebreus 10:11-14 E todo sacerdote se apresenta cada dia, ministrando e oferecendo muitas vezes os mesmos sacrifícios, que nunca podem tirar pecados. 12 Mas este, havendo oferecido para sempre um único sacrifício pelos pecados, assentou-se à direita de Deus, 13 desde então esperando até que os seus inimigos sejam postos por escabelo de seus pés; 14 porque, com uma única oferta, aperfeiçoou para sempre os que estão sendo santificados.

A palavra grega para “ esperar ” (esperando) que é usada no versículo 13 é ……

 Agora podemos parafrasear o versículo 13 para ler…

“Desde então, Cristo Jesus aguarda com grande expectativa que os seus inimigos sejam postos por escabelo dos seus pés”.

O tempo verbal em inglês da palavra “esperando” é  “presente contínuo”

 A aplicação desta palavra significa que, embora Jezabel, a mulher do Antigo Testamento, estivesse morta, seu espírito continua vivo nos dias atuais. Os crentes, especialmente os líderes, devem ensinar continuamente a Palavra de Deus até que as cercas quebradas sejam reparadas e alianças mais fortes sejam estabelecidas, como servos do Senhor. Embora Jesus tenha “terminado” a obra na cruz, derrotando todos os principados e potestades, os crentes precisam manifestar essa posição “terminada” vencendo esses principados e potestades e garantindo que eles permaneçam como o “escabelo” do Senhor.

“The system of government must change”

Most leaders have received a calling from God through the leading of the Holy Spirit to plant and lead churches. 

While the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20) is a calling to all believers to disciple and baptise nations, the calling to lead a church is a burden placed on an individual by the Lord Himself (autonomous ministries)

This is usually accompanied by much prayer, fasting, meditating on the Word of the Lord, allowing the Holy Spirit to minister to the person who is called to plant or lead a church.

A Divine Encounter initiated the “calling” of Paul Paul had a transformative encounter with the Lord on the road to Damascus whilst breathing murderous threats against the disciples of the Lord. From the moment of this Divine encounter his entire life changed.

A life of suffering and persecution was declared by the Lord Himself concerning his calling as “the chosen one”  (Acts 9:16)

We see the definition of the “church” manifested in Paul’s calling.

The Greek word for church is ……. ekklēsía –  called out, which is from ekkaléō, to call out. It was a common term for a congregation of the ekklētoí, the called people, or those called out or assembled (Extracted from Complete Word Study Bible)

Paul was “called out” of a Pharisaical ultra religious culture to embrace Christ and the culture of the Kingdom. He was blind for three days during which time he neither ate nor drank water. This period of three days is symbolic of spiritual preparation as well as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. After Ananias was commanded by the Lord to lay hands on Paul, his sight was restored and he was baptised. He began immediately to declare in the synagogues that Jesus is the Christ.

Acts 9:20 Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God.

Transitioning into an autonomous model of governance demands the leader to be “called out” of systems that do not prioritise the Word or the voice of God spoken through His oracles

The ascended Christ Jesus instructed His servant John to submit a written audit report on His findings on His Father’s business in Thyatira. Jesus demands the “pulling down” of the “harlot” model of governance in Thyatira that tolerates the doctrines of Jezebel. Idolatrous altars must be destroyed within the hearts of believers declared the Lord who searches our minds and our hearts. (Revelation 2:20)

This reveals that these are not only literal, physical altars but also idols that have established a place in our hearts and our minds 

In this season leaders need great grace to suffer the loss of a “Demas” type of son, who has been seduced by the things of this present world. The “Demas” son would be very comfortable in a church where the spirit of Jezebel influences the teaching.

1 John 2:15-17 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

ABC NOTES This demands the recognition of leadership grace upon one man whom God has sent to the church. Such a man is called a “set man” because he is set by God. 

Numbers  27:16 “Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

The set man must not be controlled by headquarters, elders(although he will seek their counsel from time to time), deacons or congregation. He must be allowed to speak the mind of God in the local house for he is the legitimate messenger to the local house.

BENEFITS OF OVERCOMING JEZEBEL

The Lord identifies the corrupting influence of the spirit of Jezebel operating in a New Testament church, showing us clearly that this spirit is not dead in this present day.

IMPORTANT CAUTIONARY NOTE Last week I wrote that God asked Elijah to take Hazael, Elisha and Jehu with him to kill Jezebel.

1 Kings 19:17 It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.

In this present season, we interpret this as partnering with highly specialised graces that have been chosen by the Lord to dismantle the operating system of Jezebel that is undermining God ordained leadership and silencing the voice of the Lord. Our mandate is not to evict individuals from the congregation who operate with this spirit.  Please refer to the article on Jezebel – Part 6 concerning the wheat and the tares growing together. Our warfare is spiritual and not carnal. We will continue to teach the supremacy of Christ and His Word over every evil power and principality, until these spirits becomes the “footstool” of Christ Jesus.

Revelation 2:26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations— 27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’— as I also have received from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star.

Therefore, overcoming this principality demands continuous sobriety, vigilance, teaching and application of the Word of the Lord. We believe that ruling with a “rod of iron” (Verse 27) speaks of bold and courageous declaration of the Word of God. 

The Lord promises a release of “power over the nations” . This refers to being endowed with power from above through the Holy Spirit. Christ Jesus is the Bright and Morning Star. A symbol of hope and Eternal Light that rises before the new day begins

The Church in Thyatira was called to overcome Jezebel. 2 benefits apply:

POWER OVER THE NATIONS. Such a church will be given the power to make disciples of nations. God is not going to give this power to a church with a Jezebellian operating system.

THE MORNING STAR  Revelation 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” (NKJ)

The Morning Star is Christ. The church that overcomes Jezebel will be given the Morning Star. This is the abiding, glorious, manifest presence of Christ.

A maioria dos líderes recebeu um Chamado de Deus por meio da direção do Espírito Santo para plantar e liderar igrejas.

 Enquanto a grande comissão (Mateus 28:19-20) é um chamado a todos os crentes para discipular e batizar nações, o chamado para liderar uma igreja é um fardo colocado sobre um indivíduo pelo próprio Senhor (ministérios autônomos)

Isso geralmente é acompanhado por muita oração, jejum, meditação na Palavra do Senhor, permitindo que o Espírito Santo ministre à pessoa que é chamada para plantar ou liderar uma igreja.

Um Encontro Divino iniciou o “chamado” de Paulo                                                                   Paulo teve um encontro transformador com o Senhor na estrada para Damasco enquanto respirava ameaças assassinas contra os discípulos do Senhor. A partir do momento desse encontro divino, toda a sua vida mudou. Uma vida de sofrimento e perseguição foi declarada pelo próprio Senhor a respeito de seu chamado como “o escolhido” (Atos 9:16). Vemos a definição de “igreja” manifestada no chamado de Paulo.

 Paulo foi “chamado” de uma cultura farisaica ultra-religiosa para abraçar Cristo e a cultura do Reino. Ele ficou cego por três dias, durante os quais não comeu nem bebeu água. Este período de três dias simboliza a preparação espiritual, bem como a morte, sepultamento e ressurreição de Jesus. Depois que Ananias recebeu a ordem do Senhor de impor as mãos sobre Paulo, sua visão foi restaurada e ele foi batizado. Ele começou imediatamente a declarar nas sinagogas que Jesus é o Cristo.

 Atos 9:20 Imediatamente ele pregou o Cristo nas sinagogas, que ele é o Filho de Deus.

 A transição para um modelo autônomo de governança exige que o líder seja “chamado” de sistemas que não priorizam a Palavra ou a voz de Deus falada por meio de Seus oráculos

 O ascendido Cristo Jesus instruiu Seu servo João a apresentar um relatório de auditoria escrito sobre Suas descobertas sobre os negócios de Seu Pai em Tiatira. Jesus exige a “derrubada” do modelo de governo “prostituta” em Tiatira que tolera as doutrinas de Jezabel. Os altares idólatras devem ser destruídos dentro dos corações dos crentes, declarou o Senhor que sonda nossas mentes e nossos corações. (Revelação 2:20)

 Isso revela que esses não são apenas altares literais e físicos, mas também ídolos que estabeleceram um lugar em nossos corações e mentes

Nesta época, os líderes precisam de grande graça para sofrer a perda de um filho do tipo “Demas”, que foi seduzido pelas coisas do mundo presente. O filho “Demas” ficaria muito confortável em uma igreja onde o espírito de Jezabel influencia o ensino.

 1 João 2:15-17 15 Não ameis o mundo, nem as coisas que nele há. Se alguém ama o mundo, o amor do Pai não está nele. 16 Porque tudo o que há no mundo, a concupiscência da carne, a concupiscência dos olhos e a soberba da vida, não é do Pai, mas do mundo. 17 E o mundo está passando, e a sua concupiscência; mas aquele que faz a vontade de Deus permanece para sempre.

 NOTAS ABC                                                           Isso exige o reconhecimento da graça de liderança sobre um homem que Deus enviou à igreja. Tal homem é chamado de “homem fixo” porque foi estabelecido por Deus.

 Números 27:16 “Que o Senhor, o Deus dos espíritos de toda a carne, ponha um homem sobre a congregação,

 O homem estabelecido não deve ser controlado pela sede, presbíteros (embora ele busque seu conselho de tempos em tempos), diáconos ou congregação. Ele deve ter permissão para falar a mente de Deus na casa local, pois ele é o mensageiro legítimo da casa local.

 BENEFÍCIOS DE VENCER JEZABEL

 O Senhor identifica a influência corruptora do espírito de Jezabel operando em uma igreja do Novo Testamento, mostrando-nos claramente que esse espírito não está morto nos dias atuais.

 NOTA DE ADVERTÊNCIA IMPORTANTE

 Na semana passada, escrevi que Deus pediu a Elias que levasse Hazael, Eliseu e Jeú com ele para matar Jezabel.

 1 Reis 19:17 E será que todo aquele que escapar da espada de Hazael, Jeú matará; e quem escapar da espada de Jeú, Eliseu matará.

 Nesta temporada atual, interpretamos isso como parceria com graças altamente especializadas que foram escolhidas pelo Senhor para desmantelar o sistema operacional de Jezabel que está minando a liderança ordenada por Deus e silenciando a voz do Senhor. Nosso mandato não é expulsar indivíduos da congregação que operam com esse espírito. Consulte o artigo sobre Jezabel – Parte 6 sobre o trigo e o joio crescendo juntos. Nossa guerra é espiritual e não carnal. Continuaremos a ensinar a supremacia de Cristo e Sua Palavra sobre todo poder e principado maligno, até que esses espíritos se tornem o “escabelo” de Cristo Jesus.

Apocalipse 2:26 E aquele que vencer e guardar as minhas obras até o fim, a ele darei poder sobre as nações – 27 ‘Ele as governará com vara de ferro; Eles serão despedaçados como os vasos do oleiro, como também recebi de meu Pai; 28 e lhe darei a estrela da manhã.

 Portanto, superar este principado exige sobriedade, vigilância, ensino e aplicação contínuos da Palavra do Senhor. Cremos que governar com uma “vara de ferro” (versículo 27) fala de uma declaração ousada e corajosa da Palavra de Deus.

 O Senhor promete uma liberação de “poder sobre as nações”. Isso se refere a ser dotado de poder do alto por meio do Espírito Santo. Cristo Jesus é a Brilhante Estrela da Manhã. Um símbolo de esperança e Luz Eterna que se ergue antes do início do novo dia

 PODER SOBRE AS NAÇÕES.                             Tal igreja terá o poder de fazer discípulos de nações. Deus não vai dar esse poder a uma igreja com um sistema operacional jezebelliano.

 A ESTRELA DA MANHà                       Apocalipse 22:16 “Eu, Jesus, enviei o meu anjo para vos testificar estas coisas nas igrejas. Eu sou a Raiz e a Descendência de Davi, a Resplandecente Estrela da Manhã.” (NKJ)

 A Estrela da Manhã é Cristo. A igreja que vencer Jezabelreceberá a Estrela da Manhã. Esta é a presença permanente, gloriosa e manifesta de Cristo.
