What factors activate Jezebel?

The fragile and weakened faith of Ahab in God, gave Jezebel the opportunity and an entrance way to introduce an alternate culture of worship (Baal) to the people of God. She then proceeded to persecute the legitimate prophetic voices of God.

Jezebel also observed that Ahab lacked specific knowledge concerning the biblical  laws regarding the expropriation of the vineyard of Naboth. 

He was easily seduced and manipulated by Jezebel, who lacked understanding of Israel’s obligations concerning family inheritance.

The sin of covetousness in Ahab activated the spirit of Jezebel.

Exodus 20:17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

1 Kings 21:7 Then Jezebel his wife said to him, “You now exercise authority over Israel! Arise, eat food, and let your heart be cheerful; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.” 8 And she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who were dwelling in the city with Naboth. 9 She wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and seat Naboth with high honor among the people; 10 and seat two men, scoundrels, before him to bear witness against him, saying, “You have blasphemed God and the king.” Then take him out, and stone him, that he may die.

Although Ahab was not familiar with the laws concerning the laws of inheritance, his “offer to expropriate” that he presented to Naboth was reasonable because he exercised his right as a monarch to the law of “eminent domain” with fair compensation.

1 Kings 21:2 So Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying, “Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a vegetable garden, because it is near, next to my house; and for it I will give you a vineyard better than it. Or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its worth in money.” 3 But Naboth said to Ahab, “The LORD forbid that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you!”

Levitical laws regarding inheritance state that the property remain with the family that owned it. 

Although Ahab was depressed he accepted Naboth’s decision to refuse. This is perceived by Jezebel to be a weakness in the king and her spirit was activated.

In this present day, we recognise the declaration of David that the Sovereign Lord is the owner of all created things.

Psalms 24:1 The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. 2 For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters.

However, the Lord has entrusted the earth to us as stewards and proxies. For example the land on which our houses are built also belongs to the Lord, but it has been given to us to steward on behalf of the Lord. Although we hold the “title deed” the government has the right to invoke the law of “eminent domain” for a valid public use.

ORIGINAL ABC NOTES Jezebel is activated by weak leadership and covetousness. A weak husband activates Jezebel at home. A weak set man/leader activates Jezebel in the church. In 1 Kings 21 Jezebel is inactive and silent until Ahab manifests his weakness and covetousness.

The principal method used by Jezebel is “to incite fear and intimidation”

There will be a clear departure from the Mount Carmel Summit proclamation, when the people witnessed the supernatural Divine visitation of the Presence of God. The people watched in awe as  “the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench”. The people fell on their faces and declared …………

 “The LORD, He is God! The LORD, He is God!”

When the people descended from the mountain into the valley, they easily forget the cataclysmic encounter with the Lord on Mount Carmel.

Our proclamations on the mountain must not change when we descend into the valley.  This was an endemic, recurring spiritual condition of the people of God.

They easily forgot Almighty God as their Maker (Hosea 8:14). They forgot His acts of faithfulness, His timeous provision and acts of deliverance and victories against nations more stronger (numerically) than themselves.

The change in their shout during their descent into the valley, from a shout of victory to fear, with the prophets of God being hidden in caves, which represented a distraction in their migration. 

We must believe that the “Lord, He is God” in any situation, under any circumstance.

The voice of the Lord came to Elijah at the entrance of a cave that reflected the disappointment of the Lord. 

Elijah was intimidated to the point where he desired death. He declared, in his “defeated” position that he was no better than his fathers

1 Kings 19:4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”

We pray that the next generation of leadership to be more resolute and more indomitable in their faith in God than their fathers. Is there not a cause? Demand the enforcement of the authority of the Word of God. We must persist in the struggle for Reform until all the enemies of God including Jezebel become the “footstool of Christ Jesus” Hebrews 10:12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

For this to happen we must prioritise instructing the next generation in righteousness from the Word of the Lord. Faith comes by hearing the Word of the Lord.

Elijah experienced a temporary lapse in his faith.

During difficult moments, this can happen to the best of us. Jesus experienced this momentary lapse in the Garden of Gethsemane ………

Mark 14:35 He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. 36 And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”

Quais fatores ativam Jezabel?

A fé frágil e enfraquecida de Acabe em Deus deu a Jezabel a oportunidade e uma porta de entrada para introduzir uma cultura alternativa de adoração (Baal) ao povo de Deus. Ela então começou a perseguir as vozes proféticas legítimas de Deus.

Levanta-te, come e alegre o teu coração; Eu lhe darei a vinha de Nabote, o jizreelita”. 8 E ela escreveu cartas em nome de Acabe, selou-as com o seu selo, e enviou as cartas aos anciãos e aos nobres que moravam na cidade com Nabote. 9 E escreveu nas cartas, dizendo: Proclama jejum, e faz com que Nabote faça sentar-se com grande honra no meio do povo; 10 e assentaram diante dele dois homens, para testemunharem contra ele, dizendo: “Você blasfemou contra Deus e o rei”. Tirai-o então e apedrejam-no, para que morra.

Embora Acabe não estivesse familiarizado com as leis relativas às leis de herança, sua “oferta de expropriação” que apresentou a Nabote era razoável porque ele exerceu seu direito como monarca à lei de “domínio eminente” com justa compensação.

1 Reis 21:2 Então Acabe falou a Nabote, dizendo: Dá-me a tua vinha, para que eu a tenha por horta, porque está perto, perto da minha casa; e por isso vos darei uma vinha melhor do que ela. Ou, se lhe parecer bom, eu lhe darei seu valor em dinheiro. 3 Mas Nabote disse a Acabe: “O Senhor me livre de dar a você a herança de meus pais!”

As leis levíticas sobre herança afirmam que a propriedade permanece com a família que a possui.

Embora Acabe estivesse deprimido, ele aceitou a decisão de Nabote de recusar. Isso é percebido por Jezabel como uma fraqueza no rei e seu espírito foi ativado.

Nos dias atuais, reconhecemos a declaração de Davi de que o Soberano Senhor é o dono de todas as coisas criadas.

Salmos 24:1-2 Do Senhor é a terra e toda a sua plenitude, o mundo e os que nele habitam. 2 Pois ele a fundou sobre os mares e a estabeleceu sobre as águas.

O principal método usado por Jezabel é “incitar medo e intimidação”

Haverá um claro afastamento da proclamação do Cume do Monte Carmelo, quando o povo testemunhou a visitação divina sobrenatural da Presença de Deus. O povo assistiu com admiração enquanto “o fogo do Senhor caiu e consumiu o holocausto, e a lenha, e as pedras, e o pó, e lambeu a água que estava no rego”. O povo prostrou-se com o rosto em terra e declarou…

“O Senhor é Deus! O Senhor é Deus!”

Quando o povo desceu da montanha para o vale, esqueceu-se facilmente do encontro cataclísmico com o Senhor no Monte Carmelo.

Nossas proclamações na montanha não devem mudar quando descemos para o vale. Esta era uma condição espiritual endêmica e recorrente do povo de Deus.

Eles facilmente se esqueceram de Deus Todo-Poderoso como seu Criador (Oséias 8:14). Eles se esqueceram de Seus atos de fidelidade, Sua provisão oportuna e atos de libertação e vitórias contra nações mais fortes (numericamente) do que eles.

A mudança em seu grito durante a descida ao vale, de um grito de vitória para o medo, com os profetas de Deus escondidos em cavernas, o que representou uma distração em sua migração.

Devemos acreditar que o “Senhor, Ele é Deus” em qualquer situação, sob qualquer circunstância.

A voz do Senhor veio a Elias na entrada de uma caverna que refletia o desapontamento do Senhor.

Elias ficou intimidado a ponto de desejar a morte. Ele declarou, em sua posição “derrotada”, que não era melhor do que seus pais

1 Reis 19:4 Mas ele mesmo foi um dia de caminho ao deserto, e chegando, e sentou-se debaixo de uma giesta. E ele orou para que pudesse morrer e disse: “Basta! Agora, Senhor, tire a minha vida, pois não sou melhor do que meus pais!”

Oramos para que a próxima geração de liderança seja mais resoluta e mais indomável em sua fé em Deus do que seus pais. Não há uma causa? Exija a imposição da autoridade da Palavra de Deus. Devemos persistir na luta pela Reforma até que todos os inimigos de Deus, incluindo Jezabel, se tornem o “estrado de Cristo Jesus”

Hebreus 10:12-14 – Mas quando este sacerdote acabou de oferecer, para sempre, um único sacrifício pelos pecados, assentou-se à direita de Deus.13 Daí em diante, ele está esperando até que os seus inimigos sejam colocados como estrado dos seus pés;14 porque, por meio de um único sacrifício, ele aperfeiçoou para sempre os que estão sendo santificados. 

Para que isso aconteça, devemos priorizar a instrução da próxima geração na justiça a partir da Palavra do Senhor. A fé vem pelo ouvir a Palavra do Senhor.

Elias experimentou um lapso temporário em sua fé.

Durante momentos difíceis, isso pode acontecer com o melhor de nós. Jesus experimentou esse lapso momentâneo no Jardim do Getsêmani ………

Marcos 14:35-36 E foi um pouco mais longe, prostrou-se em terra e orou para que, se possível, passasse dele a hora. 36 E disse: Aba, Pai, tudo te é possível. Afasta de mim este cálice; no entanto, não o que eu quero, mas o que tu queres.”

NOTAS ORIGINAIS DO ABC                                    I Reis 19:3 E, vendo isso, levantou-se, e correu para salvar a sua vida, e foi para Berseba, que pertence a Judá, e deixou ali o seu servo.

What is the meaning of Jezebel?

The name Jezebel means  ”exalted of Baal”. Baal, the god of fertility, rain and storms is a deity that is worshipped by the Canaanites and the Phoenicians. 

She fully supported and sustained the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of Asherah. 

The Hebrew root word “zabal” means “a dwelling that honors its occupant”

It is reasonable to conclude that Jezebel (the dwelling place of the spirit of Baal) honors and hosts the spirit of Baal that dwells in her.

This spirit of Baal in Jezebel and her prophets caused her to become an enemy of the voice of God that was declared by the prophets of God. The name also means “without cohabitation”

This means that although Ahab and Jezebel were married, she was not submitted to his headship as a wife as the church ought to be submitted to Christ.

Jezebel was the DOMINATRIX in the marriage which undermined the headship of Ahab the king.

The symbolic illustration of “sexual immorality” in the church in Thyatira refers to the practice of embracing a pluralistic culture of worship where Jezebel is the DOMINATRIX

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

This is our understanding of being “without cohabitation”

ABC NOTES Jezebel means “without cohabitation”. In other words – “I submit to no one”. 

What is the similarity between Old Testament Jezebel and New Testament Jezebel ?

The unjust judge in Luke 18 would be the perfect dwelling place to host the spirit of Jezebel. 

Luke 18:1-5 1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, 2 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. 3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.”

OLD TESTAMENT JEZEBEL The people of God, under a Jezebellian administration can forget about receiving righteous justice from their courts; under a Ahab/Jezebellian administration the lawless dictate the policy; there is no regard for the laws of God because the prophets of God are hidden in caves.

JEZEBEL INTRODUCES IDOLATRY TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD Ahab walked in compliance to  “the ways of Jeroboam”  rather than the “ways of David” 

The decision of Ahab to choose a wife, a foreigner from outside the culture of the people of God was politically and commercially inspired. By engaging a foreign culture that is rooted in idolatry and Baal worship, Ahab sacrificed the nation’s covenant with a jealous God at the altar of political and economic expediency. The scriptures declare in 1 Kings 16:31 that Ahab “went and served Baal and worshipped him” Ahab “broke the hedge” in the nation’s covenant with God

NEW TESTAMENT JEZEBEL
In Revelation 2:20 we read the Lord’s evaluation of the activities of His church in Thyatira. The audit report of the One whose eyes are like a “flaming fire”  is able to detect the operating system of Jezebel in a community of believers who faithfully practice love, service, faith, endurance, patience and an enviable work ethic. This is a frightening revelation. 

Jezebel is used here metaphorically to expose the gathering in Thyatira tolerating teachings that will produce a “hybrid culture” in the church (a “type” of sexual immorality)

These are instructions and doctrines formulated to appease the masses. This can also be likened,symbolically, to partaking of things “sacrificed to idols”. The “idols” could be influential members of the congregation that make significant financial contributions to the church. The autonomy of the preacher to proclaim the Word of the Lord must be protected. This is the autonomy that should not be compromised because the promise of God is for those who remain faithful. 

Presently there are heathen governments that seek to control and regulate the administration of the Lord’s church. This is a manifestation of a “present day Jezebel”. (We will discuss this more fully when we teach Point 13)

The spirit of Jezebel can also manifest through institutions that do not allow the voice of God or the “proceeding Word of God” to be heard; that the Lord can choose to communicate through any human resource. This is His prerogative as the Sovereign Lord.

However, some of the believers in Thyatira, who have not known the depths of satan, were faithfully holding fast and trusting in the promise of the Lord ………..

Revelation 2:24 “Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. 25 But hold fast what you have till I come. 26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations— 27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’— as I also have received from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star.

ORIGINAL ABC NOTES Old Testament Jezebel corrupted Ahab and the nation of Israel through Baal worship. Baal worship involved idolatry and sexual immorality

I Kings 16:31 And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him. 

New  Testament Jezebel did the same. 

Rev 2:20 “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols

Ela apoiou e sustentou totalmente os 450 profetas de Baal e os 400 profetas de Aserá.

A raiz hebraica da palavra “zabal” significa “uma morada que honra seu ocupante”

É razoável concluir que Jezabel (a morada do espírito de Baal) honra e hospeda o espírito de Baal que habita nela.

Esse espírito de Baal em Jezabel e seus profetas fizeram com que ela se tornasse inimiga da voz de Deus que foi declarada pelos profetas de Deus. O nome também significa “sem coabitação”

Isso significa que, embora Acabe e Jezabel fossem casados, ela não foi submetida à sua liderança como esposa, como a igreja deveria ser submetida a Cristo.

Jezabel foi a dominatrix no casamento que minou a liderança do rei Acabe.

A ilustração simbólica da “imoralidade sexual” na igreja em Tiatira refere-se à prática de abraçar uma cultura pluralista de adoração onde Jezabel é a DOMINATRIX

Efésios 5:23 Porque o marido é a cabeça da mulher, como também Cristo é a cabeça da igreja; e Ele é o Salvador do corpo. 24 Portanto, assim como a igreja está sujeita a Cristo, assim também as mulheres estejam em tudo com seus maridos.

Este é o nosso entendimento de ser “sem coabitação”

Qual é a semelhança entre a Jezabel do Antigo Testamento e a Jezabel do Novo Testamento?

O juiz injusto em Lucas 18 seria a morada perfeita para hospedar o espírito de Jezabel.

Lucas 18:1-5 1 Propôs-lhes então uma parábola, que os homens devem orar sempre e não desanimar, 2 dizendo: Havia numa certa cidade um juiz que não temia a Deus, nem fazia caso de homem algum. 3 Ora, havia naquela cidade uma viúva; e ela se aproximou dele, dizendo: ‘Faze justiça para mim do meu adversário.’ 4 E ele não quis por um tempo; mas depois ele disse consigo mesmo: ‘Embora eu não tema a Deus nem considere o homem, 5 ainda assim, porque esta viúva me perturba, eu a vingarei, para que ela não me canse por sua vinda contínua.

JEZABEL DO ANTIGO TESTAMENTO O povo de Deus, sob uma administração jezabeliana, pode esquecer de receber justiça justa de seus tribunais; sob uma administração de Acabe / Jezabeliana, os sem lei ditam a política; não há consideração pelas leis de Deus porque os profetas de Deus estão escondidos em cavernas.

JEZABEL INTRODUZ A IDOLATRIA AO POVO DE DEUS                                          

 Acabe andou em conformidade com “os caminhos de Jeroboão” em vez dos “caminhos de Davi”

A decisão de Acabe de escolher uma esposa, uma estrangeira de fora da cultura do povo de Deus, foi política e comercialmente inspirada. Ao se envolver com uma cultura estrangeira que está enraizada na idolatria e na adoração a Baal, Acabe sacrificou a aliança da nação com um Deus ciumento no altar da conveniência política e econômica. As escrituras declaram em 1 Reis 16:31 que Acabe “foi, serviu a Baal e o adorou” Acabe “quebrou a cerca viva” na aliança da nação com Deus

JEZABEL DO NOVO TESTAMENTO                Em Apocalipse 2:20, lemos a avaliação do Senhor sobre as atividades de Sua igreja em Tiatira. O relatório de auditoria dAquele cujos olhos são como um “fogo flamejante” é capaz de detectar o sistema operacional de Jezabel em uma comunidade de crentes que praticam fielmente o amor, o serviço, a fé, a perseverança, a paciência e uma ética de trabalho invejável. Esta é uma revelação assustadora.

Jezabel é usada aqui metaforicamente para expor a reunião em Tiatira tolerando ensinamentos que produzirão uma “cultura híbrida” na igreja (um “tipo” de imoralidade sexual)

Estas são instruções e doutrinas formuladas para apaziguar as massas. Isto também pode ser comparado, simbolicamente, à participação em coisas “sacrificadas aos ídolos”. Os “ídolos” podem ser membros influentes da congregação que fazem contribuições financeiras significativas para a igreja. A autonomia do pregador para proclamar a Palavra do Senhor deve ser protegida. Essa é a autonomia que não deve ser comprometida porque a promessa de Deus é para aqueles que permanecem fiéis.

Atualmente, existem governos pagãos que procuram controlar e regular a administração da igreja do Senhor. Esta é uma manifestação de uma “Jezabel atual”. (Consideraremos isso mais detalhadamente quando ensinarmos o Ponto 13.)

O espírito de Jezabel também pode se manifestar por meio de instituições que não permitem que a voz de Deus ou a “Palavra de Deus procedente” seja ouvida; que o Senhor pode escolher comunicar-se por meio de qualquer recurso humano. Esta é Sua prerrogativa como o Senhor Soberano.

No entanto, alguns dos crentes em Tiatira, que não conheciam as profundezas de satanás, estavam fielmente se apegando e confiando na promessa do Senhor ………..

JEZEBEL – PART 2

(ABC Lesson 7)

1. What causes a man to lose his headship. What are the features?

First and foremost, we must dispel the notion that the Jezebel of this present day is a woman. This is a spirit that operates through any human vessel.

However, the reality of the Old Testament Jezebel is that she occupied the most influential and powerful seat in the palace. This reality would intimidate even the most consecrated representatives of the Lord like Elijah. Although Elijah carried massive Divine influence and favour that caused fire to fall on the altar he constructed on Mount Carmel, he was intimidated by the threats of Jezebel who was positioned on the earth. Jezebel promised to destroy Elijah within 24 hours.

1 Kings 19:1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword. 2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” 3 And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. 4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”

This is the level of intimidation that would affect the strongest leaders. It caused Elijah to surrender to this principality, declaring “It is enough”

Elijah went into hiding in the wilderness praying that he would die. The prophets of God were hidden in caves to escape being massacred during Jezebel’s reign of terror.

The apostle Paul would further warn the Ephesians about spiritual hosts of wickedness in the realm of darkness that were positioned in battle formation against believers.

Paul would identify our spiritual adversaries  as being principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this age located and functioning from “heavenly places”

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Here is an observation. When Elijah fled from Jezebel he acted instinctively prioritising his own personal safety, choosing to avoid warfare and refusing to engage this principality. Our armoury must include, among other things, girding our waist with truth and putting on the breastplate of righteousness (Refer Ephesians 6:14-18 for the whole armor of God)

Like we said, in this present season Jezebel is a spirit that functions in any human host, and this principality needs to be confronted and dismantled to avoid lawlessness and anarchy within the church

Important caution: Some critics with malicious intentions have misrepresented our perspectives as though we are opposed to women preachers and pastors. We support, encourage and advocate for the full participation of women in ministry. The Lord has been speaking with great clarity through women as seen throughout the scriptures in various periods of church history

Jesus instructs us to fear God and preach the things we receive from Him from the tops of houses, without fear of intimidation. 

Matthew 10:27 “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

BOLDNESS TO DECLARE THE WORD OF THE LORD IN A HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT 

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

THE HOLY SPIRIT EMPOWERS BELIEVERS TO DECLARE THE WORD OF THE LORD WITH BOLDNESS

Acts 4:29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

What features in the lives of Isaac, Lot, Eli and Ahab demonstrate weakness/timidity?

Commentary – Roy Pillay As explained in the previous commentary the spirit of Jezebel will intimidate and invoke fear in the strongest of leaders. Recently we made decisive prophetic proclamations where we have committed to resist lawlessness, corruption and unrighteousness. God has always raised voices to represent Him and declare His displeasure whenever Israel did evil in the eyes of God. Read the book of Judges. 

Zeal alone is great, but it is not enough as Elijah discovered. We are seeking bilateral relationships with the seven thousand who are chosen by the Lord to decimate the operating system of Jezebel; to restore leadership that will boldly articulate the voice of God that will provoke the hearts of the people to turn back to God; to resurrect a priesthood that will teach the Word of God that would have a restraining influence on corrupt systems of leadership and governance 

1 Kings 19:10 10 So he said, “I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.”

Jesus Himself states that He never knew those who practice lawlessness; Jesus distanced Himself from the practitioners of lawlessness 

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Matthew 24:12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

The consequence of Lawlessness will lead believers into apostasy and loss of zeal for the Lord (love for the Lord of many will grow cold)

Operating system of Jezebel The spirit of Jezebel will firstly identify the host. The Old Testament Jezebel exerted her influence from outside the culture of the people of God and proceeds to meticulously facilitate and craft a parallel “counter culture” that seeks to undermine, discredit and eventually dismantle God ordained leadership. This is achieved by positioning her minions in the midst of God’s people, proceeding to turn the hearts of the sons from the fathers and the hearts of the fathers from the sons.

THE MOUNT CARMEL SUMMIT The call of Elijah to the the people of God was to choose between God and Baal. Elijah did not ask the people to choose between himself and Jezebel/Ahab

The expectation of Elijah at the Mount Carmel Summit was that the people of God would choose God as their Father

The prophet Malachi would highlight the importance of the restoration of relationships between fathers and sons to avoid the curse on the earth. Malachi declared that we would receive a visitation from the same spirit of Elijah. Both fathers and sons have a vested, mutual interest in fostering a healthy relationship. 

Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet. Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. 6 And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

Spiritual fathers and sons represent the grace of Abba Father and Christ Jesus. They are chosen instruments of God for executing His plans and His will, as His representatives, on the earth.

LOSS OF HEADSHIP

ISAAC Timidity/weakness is frequently demonstrated in the life of Isaac (Genesis 22:1-19). Offers no resistance to being killed by his father

(Genesis 26:18- 22) Offers no resistance to being defrauded of the wells by the herdsmen of Abimelech

(Genesis 26:6,7) Calls his wife his sister in fear of the men of Gerar.

LOT Weakness is frequently seen in the life of Lot. Allows his employees to determine his future. He separated from Abraham because of the quarrel between his herdsmen and that of Abraham’s.(Genesis 13:6-9). He demonstrates weakness in his choice. His choice of the fertile plains of Jordan was not deterred by its proximity to evil Sodom and Gomorrah. 

Genesis 13:10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. (NKJ)

Though a political leader he had no influence. (Gen.19:1-9). He had no influence over his sons-in-law. 

Genesis 19:14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking. (NKJ)

He could not influence his wife not to look back. (Genesis 19:17,26) He had no restraint over his appetites. (Genesis 19:32,33) He was raped by his daughters. (Genesis 19:35)

ELI Eli failed to discipline his own sons. 

1 Samuel 2:22 Now Eli was very old; and he heard everything his sons did to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle (NKJ)

1 Samuel 2:29 ‘Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people?’ (NKJ)

AHAB Ahab is childishly overcome by grief because he was refused the vineyard of Naboth. 

I King 21:4 And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread. 

Childish grief – exaggerated sorrow in an insignificant failed venture, is one of the characteristic features of a powerless man.

 Em primeiro lugar, devemos dissipar a noção de que a Jezabel dos dias atuais é uma mulher. Este é um espírito que opera através de qualquer vaso humano.

No entanto, a realidade da Jezabel do Antigo Testamento é que ela ocupava o assento mais influente e poderoso do palácio. Essa realidade intimidaria até mesmo os representantes mais consagrados do Senhor, como Elias. Este é o nível de intimidação que afetaria os líderes mais fortes. Isso fez com que Elias se rendesse a este principado, declarando “Basta”

Elias se escondeu no deserto orando para morrer. Os profetas de Deus foram escondidos em cavernas para escapar de serem massacrados durante o reinado de terror de Jezabel.

O apóstolo Paulo ainda advertiria os efésios sobre as hostes espirituais de maldade no reino das trevas que estavam posicionadas em formação de batalha contra os crentes.

Paulo identificaria nossos adversários espirituais como sendo principados, potestades e governantes das trevas desta era, localizados e funcionando a partir de “lugares celestiais”

Efésios 6:12 Porque não temos que lutar contra carne e sangue, mas contra os principados, contra as potestades, contra os príncipes das trevas deste século, contra as hostes espirituais da maldade nos lugares celestiais.

Aqui está uma observação. Quando Elias fugiu de Jezabel, ele agiu instintivamente, priorizando sua própria segurança pessoal, escolhendo evitar a guerra e recusando-se a se envolver com esse principado. Nosso arsenal deve incluir, entre outras coisas, cingir nossa cintura com a verdade e colocar a couraça da justiça (consulte Efésios 6:14-18 para toda a armadura de Deus)

Como dissemos, nesta época atual Jezabel é um espírito que funciona em qualquer hoste humano, e este principado precisa ser confrontado e desmantelado para evitar a ilegalidade e a anarquia dentro da igreja

Cuidado importante: Alguns críticos com intenções maliciosas deturparam nossas perspectivas como se fôssemos contrários às mulheres pregadoras e pastoras. Apoiamos, encorajamos e defendemos a plena participação das mulheres no ministério. O Senhor tem falado com grande clareza por meio das mulheres, como visto nas escrituras em vários períodos da história da Igreja

Jesus nos instrui a temer a Deus e pregar as coisas que recebemos Dele dos telhados das casas, sem medo de intimidação.

Mateus 10:27 “Tudo o que eu vos disser nas trevas, falai na luz; e o que ouvirdes aos ouvidos, pregai sobre os telhados. 28 E não temais os que matam o corpo, mas não podem matar a alma. Temei, antes, aquele que pode fazer perecer no inferno tanto an alma como o corpo.

OUSADIA PARA DECLARAR A PALAVRA DO SENHOR EM UM AMBIENTE HOSTIL 

 Atos 4:13 Ora, quando viram a ousadia de Pedro e João, e perceberam que eram homens incultos e inexperientes, maravilharam-se. E eles perceberam que tinham estado com Jesus.

O ESPÍRITO SANTO CAPACITA OS CRENTES A DECLARAR A PALAVRA DO SENHOR COM OUSADIA

Atos 4:29 Agora, Senhor, olha para as suas ameaças, e concede aos teus servos que, com toda a ousadia, falem a tua palavra, 30 estendendo a tua mão para curar, e que sinais e prodígios sejam feitos em nome do teu santo servo Jesus.” 31 E, tendo eles orado, tremeu o lugar onde estavam reunidos; e todos ficaram cheios do Espírito Santo e falaram a palavra de Deus com ousadia.

Conforme explicado no comentário anterior, o espírito de Jezabel intimidará e invocará o medo no mais forte dos líderes. Recentemente, fizemos proclamações proféticas decisivas, nas quais nos comprometemos a resistir à ilegalidade, à corrupção e à injustiça. Deus sempre levantou vozes para representá-Lo e declarar Seu descontentamento sempre que Israel fazia o mal aos olhos de Deus. Leia o livro de Juízes.

O zelo por si só é grande, mas não é suficiente, como Elias descobriu. Estamos buscando relações bilaterais com os sete mil que são escolhidos pelo Senhor para dizimar o sistema operacional de Jezabel; restaurar a liderança que articulará corajosamente a voz de Deus que provocará os corações das pessoas a se voltarem para Deus; ressuscitar um sacerdócio que ensinará a Palavra de Deus que terá uma influência restritiva sobre os sistemas corruptos de liderança e governança

1 Reis 19:10 10 Então ele disse: “Tenho sido muito zeloso pelo Senhor, Deus dos Exércitos; pois os filhos de Israel abandonaram a tua aliança, derrubaram os teus altares e mataram os teus profetas à espada. Só eu sou deixado; e eles procuram tirar minha vida.”

O próprio Jesus afirma que nunca conheceu aqueles que praticam a iniquidade; Jesus se distanciou dos praticantes da iniquidade

Mateus 24:12 E porque a iniquidade será abundante, o amor de muitos esfriará. 13 Mas aquele que perseverar até o fim será salvo. 14 E este evangelho do reino será pregado em todo o mundo, em testemunho a todas as nações, e então virá o fim.

A consequência da ilegalidade levará os crentes à apostasia e à perda do zelo pelo Senhor (o amor pelo Senhor de muitos esfriará)

Sistema operacional de Jezebel                     O espírito de Jezabel identificará primeiro o anfitrião. A Jezabel do Antigo Testamento exerceu sua influência de fora da cultura do povo de Deus e passa a facilitar e criar meticulosamente uma “contracultura” paralela que busca minar, desacreditar e, eventualmente, desmantelar a liderança ordenada por Deus. Isso é conseguido posicionando seus asseclas no meio do povo de Deus, passando a desviar o coração dos filhos dos pais e o coração dos pais dos filhos.

O CUME DO MONTE CARMELO O chamado de Elias ao povo de Deus foi escolher entre Deus e Baal. Elias não pediu ao povo que escolhesse entre ele e Jezabel/Acabe

A expectativa de Elias no Cume do Monte Carmelo era que o povo de Deus escolhesse Deus como seu Pai

O profeta Malaquias destacaria a importância da restauração dos relacionamentos entre pais e filhos para evitar a maldição na terra. Malaquias declarou que receberíamos uma visita do mesmo espírito de Elias. Pais e filhos têm um interesse mútuo em promover um relacionamento saudável.

Malaquias 4:5 Eis que vos enviarei o profeta Elias. Antes que venha o grande e terrível dia do Senhor. 6 E converterá o coração dos pais aos filhos, e o coração dos filhos a seus pais, para que eu não venha, e fira a terra com maldição.

Pais e filhos espirituais representam a graça de Aba Pai e Cristo Jesus. Eles são instrumentos escolhidos de Deus para executar Seus planos e Sua vontade, como Seus representantes, na terra.

A dor infantil – tristeza exagerada em um empreendimento insignificante e fracassado, é uma das características de um homem impotente.

Introduction In the Old Testament Jezebel was a female, more specifically the wife of Ahab, a king who had no competitor regarding doing acts of evil.

1 Kings 16:30-33 30 Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD, more than all who were before him. 31 And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him. 32 Then he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. 33 And Ahab made a wooden image. Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.

However, in this present time, we understand Jezebel to be a spirit that operates powerfully in both male and female hosts. 

This spirit has been identified as a credible threat to all models of leadership that seek to establish order, structure and governance in the Lord’s church. We read in 1 Kings 16:30-33 that a Jezebellian administration is extremely hostile and provocative to that which the Lord has envisioned for His church.

Definition of headship Headship is the state of chief authority.

Leader – one who gives direction to the house, family, network, organisation 

The Lord is the Head of His Church. David is a representation or a type of the Lord as a leader and commander of the people of God. David is responsible and accountable to the Lord for the execution of the intents of God on the earth. Spiritual parents over every household, like David, are a representation of the Lord in His church. We will consider Isaiah’s prophecy.

Isaiah 55:3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David. 4 Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people, A leader and commander for the people.

God is assuring His people in an everlasting covenant, that just as He blessed and gifted Israel with the amazing leadership of David He would continue to bless His people by continuing to raise leaders according to the pattern of David. This may have concerned many religious scholars and observers, but David is the Lord’s preferred leadership model for His people.

Hebrew word for leader and commander  (Definition extracted from CWSB Word study)

ṣāwāh: A verb meaning to order, to direct, to appoint, to command, to charge, to be ordered, to be commanded. The word means to give an order or to command, to direct someone; it indicates commands given to people in various situations. The Lord commanded Adam and Eve to eat from certain trees but to refrain from eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:16; 3:17). He ordered Moses hundreds of times to do or say certain things as He established Israel’s worship, feasts, festivals, and rituals (Exodus 7:2; 16:34; Numbers 15:23). Israel was to keep all the directives the Lord gave them (Deuteronomy 4:2; 1 Kigs. 11:10). The Lord commanded His prophets to speak (Amos 6:11; Nahum 1:14; Zechariah 1:6). People gave orders to others as well, as when Pharaoh ordered that all newborn Hebrew males should be drowned in the Nile River (Exodus 1:22). Deborah ordered Barak to defeat Sisera (Judges 4:6). Abraham ordered his family to follow the ways of the Lord (Genesis 18:19). Kings commanded their people (1 Kings 5:17[31]; Jeremiah 36:26). Priests in Israel gave directives to the people about what to do under certain circumstances (Leviticus 9:6; cf. Leviticus 13:58). A person who was chosen for a task or position was commanded concerning his responsibilities by the priestly authorities (Numbers 27:19, 23). The word may mean to give directives or to set in order as when the Lord told Hezekiah to order—that is, to set things in order, in his household, for he was about to die (2 Kings. 20:1).God commands not only people but creation: He created all things by His command (Psalms 33:9; 148:5); He commanded the clouds not to send their rain on a disobedient vineyard (i.e., Israel [Psalms 78:23; Isaiah 5:6]); He commands the entire heavenly realms (Isaiah 45:12). God commands historical processes; He will ultimately set up David, His ruler, as the one who commands (Isaiah 55:4).

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Headship within a marriage union is essential for order, peace and clarity to prevail in the house; clearly this is directly dependent on the man’s level of representation of the attributes of Christ in the house; he must be concerned with her welfare and he must be her place of refuge and safety. He should lead her beside still waters, leading her in paths of righteousness. He would confer protection and comfort during challenging circumstances. A husband is the wife’s safe place. This Divine structure for a marriage and family is established through scripture.

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body

In the marriage between King Ahab and Jezebel, it was Jezebel who was the chief influencer over the house. She exercised her dominant influence over her husband in the monarchy. Jezebel brought her own culture of worship into Israel, introducing the worship of the Canaanite god of storms Baal, Asherah and Chemosh to the people of God. Being the King (headship) of Israel, he was influenced by his wife Jezebel to introduce the Canaanite culture of worship to Israel. This caused the people to descend into idolatry and apostasy. Leaders must be careful not to create an environment where the Lord has to compete with other “deities” for our attention. 

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

Jezebel would never comprehend the “jealousy” of God, who is a covenant keeping God. 

Exodus 20:4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Christ’s relationship with the church is designated by metaphors:

SHEPHERD – SHEEP RELATIONSHIP Jesus is the shepherd, the church is the sheep. 

John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.

Thus, metaphorically, the husband is the shepherd and his wife the sheep. As a shepherd the husband must love, care and lead his wife.

HE MUST LEAD LIKE A SHEPHERD.

VINE – BRANCH RELATIONSHIP Jesus is the vine, the church the branches

John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing

Metaphorically, the husband is the vine and his wife, the branch. This pictures an abiding relationship in which the husband is the source and the wife the recipient. Fruitfulness is the result of an abiding relationship.

HE MUST PROVIDE  FOR HIS WIFE LIKE THE  VINE DOES FOR THE BRANCH.

CORNERSTONE – STONE RELATIONSHIP Jesus is the chief cornerstone, the church the lively stones.

1 Peter 2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” 

CORNERSTONE  A stone placed at the corner, or the intersecting angle, where two walls of a building come together. In biblical times, buildings were often made of cut, squared stone. By uniting two intersecting walls, a cornerstone helped align the whole building and tie it together. (from Nelson’s Illustrated Bible Dictionary)

Christ is the cornerstone of the church in uniting Jew and Gentile. The cornerstone is a symbol of union and stability. The husband is the cornerstone, the wife the stone. 

THE HUSBAND, AS TRUE HEAD, MUST PROVIDE STRENGTH AND STABILITY IN THE RELATIONSHIP.

HIGH PRIEST – PRIEST RELATIONSHIP Jesus is the high priest.

Hebrews 5:10 called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,” (NKJ)

The church is the royal priesthood of God.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 

The husband is the high priest, his wife the royal priest.

THE HUSBAND MUST PROVIDE SPIRITUAL OVERSIGHT AND COVERING FOR HIS WIFE.

HEAD – BODY RELATIONSHIP Jesus is the head. 

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

Christ is the body.

Ephesians 5:30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones 

Metaphorically the husband is the head, and the wife the body. Ultimate decisions are made by the head. The final authority in decision making, rests with the man.

THE HUSBAND AS THE HEAD MUST NOT ABDICATE HIS RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE THE FINAL DECISIONS FOR HIS FAMILY IN ANY SITUATION.

2.6  BRIDEGROOM – BRIDE RELATIONSHIP

Jesus is the bridegroom. See Matthew 25

Matthew 9:15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

The church is the bride.

Isaiah 62:4 You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married. 

The Lord delights/rejoices in his bride.

2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ

The husband is the bridegroom, the wife the bride.

Isaiah 62:5 For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

 Introdução No Antigo Testamento, Jezabel era uma mulher, mais especificamente a esposa de Acabe, um rei que não tinha concorrente em relação a atos de maldade.

1 Reis 16:30-33 30 Ora, Acabe, filho de Onri, fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor, mais do que todos os que foram antes dele. 31 E sucedeu que, como se lhe tivesse sido trivial andar nos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, tomou por mulher Jezabel, filha de Etbaal, rei dos sidônios; e ele foi, serviu a Baal e o adorou. 32 Então ele levantou um altar para Baal no templo de Baal, que ele havia construído em Samaria. 33 E Acabe fez uma imagem de madeira. Acabe fez mais para provocar à ira o Senhor, Deus de Israel, do que todos os reis de Israel que foram antes dele.

No entanto, neste tempo presente, entendemos que Jezabel é um espírito que opera poderosamente em hostes masculinas e femininas.

 Esse espírito foi identificado como uma ameaça crível a todos os modelos de liderança que buscam estabelecer ordem, estrutura e governança na igreja do Senhor. Lemos em 1 Reis 16:30-33 que uma administração jezabelliana é extremamente hostil e provocativa àquilo que o Senhor imaginou para Sua igreja.

Definição de liderança 

A chefia é o estado da autoridade principal.

Líder – aquele que dá direção à casa, família, rede, organização

O Senhor é o Cabeça de Sua Igreja. Davi é uma representação ou um tipo do Senhor como líder e comandante do povo de Deus. Davi é responsável perante o Senhor pela execução das intenções de Deus na terra. Pais espirituais em todas as famílias, como Davi, são uma representação do Senhor em Sua igreja. Consideraremos a profecia de Isaías.

Isaías 55:3 Inclina os teus ouvidos, e vem a mim. Ouve, e a tua alma viverá; E farei uma aliança eterna com você: as misericórdias seguras de Davi. 4 Na verdade, eu o dei como testemunho ao povo, um líder e comandante para o povo.

Deus está assegurando ao Seu povo em uma aliança eterna, que assim como Ele abençoou e presenteou Israel com a incrível liderança de Davi, Ele continuaria a abençoar Seu povo, continuando a levantar líderes de acordo com o padrão de Davi. Isso pode ter preocupado muitos estudiosos e observadores religiosos, mas Davi é o modelo de liderança preferido do Senhor para Seu povo.

ṣāwāh: Um verbo que significa ordenar, dirigir, nomear, comandar, cobrar, ser ordenado, ser comandado. A palavra significa dar uma ordem ou ordenar, dirigir alguém; Indica comandos dados a pessoas em várias situações. O Senhor ordenou a Adão e Eva que comessem de certas árvores, mas que se abstivessem de comer da árvore do conhecimento do bem e do mal (Gênesis 2:16; 3:17). Ele ordenou a Moisés centenas de vezes que fizesse ou dissesse certas coisas ao estabelecer a adoração, festas, festivais e rituais de Israel (Êxodo 7:2; 16:34; Números 15:23). Israel deveria guardar todas as diretrizes que o Senhor lhes deu (Deuteronômio 4:2; 1 Reis 11:10). O Senhor ordenou que Seus profetas falassem (Amós 6:11; Naum 1:14; Zacarias 1:6). 1 Pedro 5:1 Exorto os presbíteros que estão entre vós, eu que sou presbítero e testemunha dos sofrimentos de Cristo, e também participante da glória que há de ser revelada: 2 Pastoreai o rebanho de Deus que há de estar entre vós, servindo como bispos, não por força, mas voluntariamente, não por ganho desonesto, mas com anelo; 3 nem como senhores sobre os que vos foram confiados, mas como exemplos para o rebanho; 4 e, quando o sumo pastor aparecer, vocês receberão a coroa de glória que não se apaga.

A liderança dentro de uma união matrimonial é essencial para que a ordem, a paz e a clareza prevaleçam na casa; claramente isso depende diretamente do nível de representação do homem dos atributos de Cristo na casa; ele deve se preocupar com o bem-estar dela e deve ser seu lugar de refúgio e segurança. Ele deve conduzi-la a águas tranquilas, guiando-a por veredas de retidão. Ele conferiria proteção e conforto durante circunstâncias desafiadoras. Um marido é o lugar seguro da esposa. Essa estrutura divina para um casamento e família é estabelecida por meio das escrituras.

No casamento entre o rei Acabe e Jezabel, foi Jezabel quem foi a principal influenciadora da casa. Ela exerceu sua influência dominante sobre o marido na monarquia. Jezabel trouxe sua própria cultura de adoração para Israel, introduzindo a adoração do deus cananeu das tempestades Baal, Asherah e Chemosh ao povo de Deus. Sendo o rei (chefia) de Israel, ele foi influenciado por sua esposa Jezabel a introduzir a cultura cananéia de adoração em Israel. Isso fez com que o povo caísse na idolatria e apostasia. Os líderes devem ter cuidado para não criar um ambiente em que o Senhor tenha que competir com outras “divindades” por nossa atenção.

Amós 3:3 Podem dois andar juntos, se não estiverem de acordo?

Jezabel nunca compreenderia o “ciúme” de Deus, que é um Deus que guarda a aliança.

Êxodo 20:4 “Não farás para ti imagem esculpida, semelhança alguma do que há em cima nos céus, ou embaixo na terra, ou nas águas debaixo da terra; 5 Não te curvarás diante deles, nem os servirás. Pois eu, o Senhor, o seu Deus, sou um Deus zeloso, que visito a iniqüidade dos pais sobre os filhos até a terceira e quarta geração daqueles que me odeiam, 6 mas uso de misericórdia para com milhares, para com aqueles que me amam e guardam os meus mandamentos.

Jesus é o pastor, a igreja são as ovelhas.

João 10:14 “Eu sou o bom pastor; e conheço as minhas ovelhas e sou conhecido pelas minhas.

Assim, metaforicamente, o marido é o pastor e sua esposa a ovelha. Como pastor, o marido deve amar, cuidar e liderar sua esposa.

Metaforicamente, o marido é a videira e sua esposa, o ramo. Isso retrata um relacionamento duradouro no qual o marido é a fonte e a esposa o destinatário. A fecundidade é o resultado de um relacionamento duradouro.

ELE DEVE PROVER PARA SUA ESPOSA COMO A VIDEIRA FAZ PARA O RAMO.

PEDRA ANGULAR – RELACIONAMENTO DE PEDRA 

Jesus é a principal pedra angular, a igreja as pedras vivas.

1 Pedro 2:5 vocês também, como pedras vivas, estão sendo edificados como casa espiritual, sacerdócio santo, para oferecerem sacrifícios espirituais agradáveis a Deus por meio de Jesus Cristo. 6 Portanto, também está contido na Escritura: “Eis que ponho em Sião a principal pedra angular, eleita, preciosa, e aquele que nele crê de modo algum será confundido”.

PEDRA ANGULAR 

Uma pedra colocada no canto, ou no ângulo de interseção, onde duas paredes de um edifício se juntam. Nos tempos bíblicos, os edifícios eram frequentemente feitos de pedra quadrada cortada. Ao unir duas paredes que se cruzam, uma pedra angular ajudou a alinhar todo o edifício e amarrá-lo. (do Dicionário Bíblico Ilustrado de Nelson)

 Cristo é a pedra angular da igreja na união de judeus e gentios. A pedra angular é um símbolo de união e estabilidade. O marido é a pedra angular, a esposa a pedra.

O MARIDO, COMO VERDADEIRO CHEFE, DEVE FORNECER FORÇA E ESTABILIDADE NO RELACIONAMENTO.

RELAÇÃO SUMO SACERDOTE – SACERDOTE  Jesus é o sumo sacerdote.

A igreja é o sacerdócio real de Deus.

1 Pedro 2:9 Mas vós sois a geração eleita, o sacerdócio real, a nação santa, o seu povo especial, para que proclameis as virtudes daquele que vos chamou das trevas para a sua maravilhosa luz;

O marido é o sumo sacerdote, sua esposa o sacerdote real.

O MARIDO PRECISA PROVER SUPERVISÃO ESPIRITUAL E COBERTURA PARA SUA ESPOSA.

RELAÇÃO CABEÇA-CORPO 

Jesus é a cabeça.

Efésios 5:23 Porque o marido é a cabeça da mulher, como também Cristo é a cabeça da igreja; e Ele é o Salvador do corpo.

Cristo é o corpo.

Efésios 5:30 Porque somos membros do seu corpo, da sua carne e dos seus ossos

Metaforicamente, o marido é a cabeça e a esposa o corpo. As decisões finais são tomadas pela cabeça. A autoridade final na tomada de decisões cabe ao homem.

O MARIDO, COMO CHEFE, NÃO DEVE ABDICAR DE SUA RESPONSABILIDADE DE TOMAR AS DECISÕES FINAIS POR SUA FAMÍLIA EM QUALQUER SITUAÇÃO.

2.6 RELAÇÃO NOIVO – NOIVA

Jesus é o noivo. Ver Mateus 25

Mateus 9:15 E Jesus lhes disse: Podem porventura os nupcial chorar enquanto o noivo estiver com eles? mas dias virão em que o noivo lhes será tirado, e então jejuarão.

A igreja é a noiva.

Isaías 62:4 Não sereis mais chamados de Abandonados, nem a vossa terra será mais desolada; mas tu serás chamada Hefzibá, e a tua terra Beula; porque o Senhor se agrada de ti, e a tua terra se casará.

O Senhor se deleita / se alegra em sua noiva.

2 Coríntios 11:2 Porque estou zeloso de vós com zelo de Deus; pois vos desposei com um só Esposo, Cristo, para vos apresentar a ele como virgem pura.

O marido é o noivo, a esposa a noiva.

Isaías 62:5 Porque, como um jovem se casa com uma virgem, assim seus filhos se casarão com você; e como o noivo se alegra com a noiva, assim o seu Deus se alegrará com você.
